Maverick oh Maverick Lord he is all man one sexy god with piercings, inked from head to toe and flirty as all hell and most of all he is an outlaw biker.
The Hell's Handlers MC has had trouble with a gang who is trafficking in young girls to be sex slaves. The MC is determined to stop this gang.So while tracking down leads to catch these guys Maverick is kidnapped by them and held hostage. Maverick is beaten and starved and held in a basement praying that his MC will find him. That is when another hostage comes into the basement and it is a woman. The gang has plans to rape her and beat her then kill her but Maverick saves her by telling the gang to take it out on him and not her.
Stephanie is an undercover FBI agent sent to check on her partner who is undercover with the gang but when she gets there she is captured and her partner has gone rogue and is now going to rape her and beat her. That is until Maverick saves her. When the MC finally find Maverick they save him and he tells them to save her as well. They do and both are taken to the hospital and it is there where Maverick is determined to make Stephanie his old lady.
But once Stephanie gets better she has to go back to her life with the FBI and report what she has seen. It is then that Stephanie realizes she misses Maverick. Then her boss sends her back to get info on the club to put them away and when Stephanie goes back undercover she is met by open arms of the club and Maverick.
But what happens when she is exposed as an FBI agent to the club? Will they kill her or will they spare her because of Maverick?

Stephanie is a member of the cybercrimes unit of the FBI, the daughter of a now imprisoned former COP she's a firm believer in black and white. there are no shades of gray in Steph's world until her partner who was undercover with the Gray Dragons misses his check-in and Steph as his handler is sent in to make contact. She's kidnapped by her now bad guy ex partener and his cronies, beaten tortured and almost raped her one day of light in the dark basement is Maverick the Hell's Handlers member also being held captive.
Mav endured a difficult childhood that caused him to end up on the streets doing anything to survive, feeling guilty at a friend's death he tried to commit suicide but was saved by Zach. Since then the club has been his life. He's the fun,carefree, manwhore of the mc and doesn't believe he'll ever do a relationship until he's captivated by Steph in that basement. Though she's dirty and just as much a prisoner as he is he's entranced by her fiery defense. When the mc rescues them he and Steph forge a deeper connection and though she left the next day he expected her to call. Though she stayed away for months Mav isn't able to forget her,when she returns pretty soon the fun loving, love em and leave em biker is head over heels.
I liked both Maverick and Steph. Though she spent most of their time together deceiving him we know she was trying to protect him. The suspense with the gangbangers continued on well here and heating up. I felt the guys in general were more badass in this one .
Though we know Mav got around the only OW drama was from Carli, the club honey who refused to understand that Mav wasn't interested in her. Even when the truth of Steph's profession came out he never considered straying.
Steph hadn't had sex in over 2 years and though she did deceive Maverick for most of the book she had good intentions.
Condom usage(thank you sweet baby Jesus) until the I'm clean discussion (no paperwork was presented to this reader to verify)
One iffy scene where Steph and Mav get turned on from watching a brother and a honey getting it on and they in turn had public sex
I wanted to see the SAC of the FBI get a major comeuppance for the stunt he pulled in outing Steph and though it didn't happen here I'm hopeful he reappears in future books so they can take him down!
All the guys make appearances again with new patched in member and the set up for future books. Though I'm not a fan of one bad guy (group) through an entire series it's working well in this one so far. I actually enjoyed this one more than book 1. On to the next.

I didn’t think this series would be able to give me the more of what I needed but here we are people. My only gripes were that some of the emotional scenes I wanted more depth. And I got that ten fold here! The whole dynamics of their family and the fire between Mav and Steph just spoke to me! Can’t wait to continue on in the series.

What can I say other than I am loving this series. The writing is great, the characters (all incl secondary) are awesome and boy oh boy the sex scenes are incredibly sexy:)
I truly adored Maverick and Stephanie, they were so perfect together. There were a few minor things that I didn't quite care for but all in all a very good read! I am def continuing on with this series for sure!!

This book starts us off at the end of book one only this is a different side to the story. I would recommend reading book one first so you can understand why Maverick is tied to a chair and what is going on in the club.You also get to know who Stephanie is and what she is doing in Tennessee.
Stephanie has always believed that the world was black and white and there were no shades of grey. She believed in justice and doing the right thing. And then she finds herself in the hands of someone who should never have hurt her and staring into the eyes of someone who will complicate her future. She is a spitfire, a little sprite of a women who makes up for her size in fire and attitude. While she her beliefs make her seem a bit naive she becomes easy to like and watching her views of the world change made for an exciting read.
Maverick is something else. He is flirty and inappropriate, even at the worst of times. He is fierce and protective and endures mountains of pain with his head held high. He of course has a complicated background that is not so pretty but it has molded him into the beast he is today. All tattoos and piercings, he is genuinely funny.
I found myself laughing while at the edge of my seat waiting for the ax to fall. I got nervous waiting to see how this would play out and at the same time fell more in love with this series. There was grit and sass.There was blistering chemistry and the rough, throw you up against the wall sexiness. There is unfinished club business and few nuggets of stories that have yet to be discovered. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as much as the first. I was left Zach's book wanting to get to know all of the bikers and now I can't wait for more from this motley crew.

Maverick was the second book in Lily Atlas’ Hell’s Handlers MC series.
We met Maverick and Stephanie in book one, Zach. Maverick was the gorgeous jokester of the MC. He was captured and tortured by one of their enemies. Stephanie was the undercover agent that was also captured and being held in the same cell as Maverick. She was rescued by the Handler’s and forged a close bond with Maverick.
Maverick picked up where book one ended, while filling in a few more details. I loved the storyline. I’m not usually fond of a pairing between law enforcement and a 1% MC because it never seemed realistic. However, with Maverick, I was captivated from the beginning to the end. Atlas created a saga that was not only suspenseful and entertaining but also fairly believable for an HEA.
I loved everything about Maverick as the hero. He had a sad upbringing but rose above it despite its horrendous nature. And I loved watching him fall. His humor mixed with his underlying intensity and loyalty made him an all time favorite. The story itself was another Atlas five star; however, there were some blatant editing errors that knocked it down a bit. Otherwise, it was perfect.
I love this series and can’t get enough. There are few loose ends still within the MC storyline, so I’m anxiously waiting for the next one, Jigsaw. And please, let us have Copper and Shell soon after!

Tad unrealistic
Good read, but what transpired I doubt would happen in real life. They would never take her back ever. I was shocked how she got outed, pretty harsh. On to the next since I am stuck at my house with really nothing to do. Gotta love social distancing.

Maverick is one sexy Alpha tattooed and pierced biker who this reader couldn't get enough of. Dam that man is hot. I loved his easy going character with his love of women and his club brothers to his quick one liners and humor that had me laughing out loud a few times. I really liked this book way better the first one . The story line was consistent and you could feel the delemma that steph was put through and how hard it was for her to do her job knowing her boss had a different agenda and how her loyalties where split between doing the right thing and her love for Maverick. I hope her ex boss shows up in other books because I'd like to see him get was deserved.

Oh sooo good!!! Hot and sexy "Mav". He was put through the wringer in this second book of the series. I love how all the people in the MC and old ladies feel so real. I feel like time just flies by when I was reading this book. It's a must read. It can be read as a stand alone but better read in order. Adults only and now on to book three.

I've read a few books from this genre and I can't get enough. How can someone be so into it is beyond me but I really don't care.
Lilly Atlas has an amazing writing full of what we want and desire. Yep... You've read it correctly Desire because each hot scene will make you blush.
Maverick is her latest release and it's the second book from the Hell's Handlers series. Have you guess what this series is about? MC of course.
I totally advise you to read book 1 first, Zach, because it will give you a you need to know.
This new book explores the lifes of Maverick and Stephanie.

The plot is amazing, super engaging with so much between the chapters.
The chemistry between the characters is intense despite all the darkness and drama surrounding them.
There were parts of the book that I feared for the characters lifes but there were others that I laughed so hard.
This book presented us with crime, punishment, drama, suspense as well as love, desire, loyalty and so much hotness... Dayum

I would have liked this book just fine if I didn’t dislike Stephanie so damn much. I hate when one of the main characters either outright lies or lies by omission to the other main character and it drags on throughout a large portion of the book. My rating reflects that. In addition to the lies and secrets that she kept, all the while Maverick and his brothers are saving her ass her inner monologue outright says that she’d arrest any of them if she needed to because they’re criminals. More than once. Even before they’d broken any laws. She had no problem taking all the help she could from those criminals, though. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Maverick though. I got fed up with Stephanie’s bullshit at 47% and really wanted to avoid the frustration of reading about her deception so I found the part in the book where the cat comes outta the bag and read through to the end from there. Had it not been for her stupidity, this could have easily been a 4-star rated book for me.

They say a relationship formed under stress will not last. So when Stephanie and Maverick meet in captivity, their chances are minimal. Take in account, she’s a federal a agent and he’s a member of a 1% MC, they’re just not meant to be — or are they?

Maverick is book #2 in the Hell’s Handlers series. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend you start with Zach,book #1. It lays the foundation of the Hell’s Handlers series. Zach is steamy and HOT HOT HOT!! This is definitely not a hardship! Also there is a major situation that is carried over from book #1 to book #2. Now to the good stuff!!!
Maverick has had a difficult past but it has not stopped him from become a charming, flirty, selfless and honorable guy. The Hell’s Handlers are his family. He meets Stephanie under a stressful situation. Together they go through something extreme and it makes them bond in a way neither have experienced.
Sexy, funny, protective, affectionate Maverick. Criminal Maverick.
Stephanie is the ultimate law abiding citizen and even works for the FBI. To her everything is black and white; law or criminals. When she meets Maverick and his brothers she starts to struggle with right and wrong. She sees the love that they have for each other and their family and also how hard they work to protect them!
Even though she heard it before, she’d rejected the notion of living in a grey zone.
I am loving the Hell’s Handlers series! It is well written and has just the right amount of “grit” to it! I also have to say that Lily Atlas blew my mind at 80% in!!!! (no spoilers) I was soooo not expecting the events that occurred!
I am now on to Jigsaw - Hell’s Handler’s #3!! If you are look for a sexy, hot MC series with strong men and even stronger women then Hell’s Handlers is for you!!!

Another great read by Lilly Atlas...
Maverick is my favorite biker in this series. He kept me laughing throughout the whole book, even when the poor man was held captive. Damn, he is one strong, endearing, sexy man.
I had a hard time with Stephanie and the lies. I'd go from liking her to not liking her from one chapter to another. It was all her internal thoughts that bugged me the most. When the truth about her was revealed, oh man, I actually got teary-eyed on Mav's behalf and the Handlers family.
I would have liked to have seen how everyone treated her there at the end (Toni and Shell mostly). The book ended too abruptly with many loose ends, and I felt cheated. I get this is an ongoing series, but I still needed more with Mav and Steph.
Maverick is my favorite biker in this series. He kept me laughing throughout the whole book, even when the poor man was held captive. Damn, he is one strong, endearing, sexy man.
I had a hard time with Stephanie and the lies. I'd go from liking her to not liking her from one chapter to another. It was all her internal thoughts that bugged me the most. When the truth about her was revealed, oh man, I actually got teary-eyed on Mav's behalf and the Handlers family.
I would have liked to have seen how everyone treated her there at the end (Toni and Shell mostly). The book ended too abruptly with many loose ends, and I felt cheated. I get this is an ongoing series, but I still needed more with Mav and Steph.

This was so freaking intense at times.
They start out in a horrible fucking circumstance.
And they immediately bond, each of them trying to protect the other from the worst.
Unfortunately, Stephanie has secrets she has to keep.
I really loved this book.
Maverick is one of my favorite guys in the group. He’s just such a flirt and a goofball. I really love how Stephanie just goes with the flow and laughs at his antics instead of getting upset.
And I love how they bond and grow together.
It was gut wrenching, all throughout there were times where I couldn’t stop the tears flowing.
But the rest of it was beautiful and I loved Stephanie’s loyalty to Mav.
It was just the perfect combo of hard decisions, secrets, jokes, sex, and unfailing loyalty.

What some people will do to save others is proven in this book, Maverick and Stephanie meet while being held hostage and Maverick makes sure she is not touched even if it means he might just lose his club and brothers but seeing her fight for him too makes him think she just might be special.
Stephanie is undercover and just found out the other agent she was looking for has turned and using her to prove a point.
She has always believed in black and white no gray areas until she meets Maverick and his brothers and now she has to see just what she really believes in .

Great series, lovable bikers, loved Maverick and Stephanie’s story, straight onto book three. The main theme of this book (heroine lying to the hero - would normally be something I would hate-but the author carried out the story well, Stephane redeems herself, by putting the club first IMO)

Good. I am always leery of the law enforcement/criminal romance but it was ok. The ending wrapped up a little too neat for my taste.

This has great characters. The MC is all about family and loyalty. This story shows how badly lies can affect not only a relationship, but everyone around you. Well written. Well put together. A smooth, easy read.

Stephanie is a FBI agent who has been raised to believe there are no gray areas, just black and white when it comes to breaking the law. She's sent out on an undercover assignment to find out what has happened to a fellow undercover agent who has gone dark. Maverick is a loyal member of the MC. He knows that things can't always be black and white. Stephanie learns that the world she once knew with rigid expectations about right and wrong is not the real world. I enjoyed watching Stephanie and Maverick as they both dealt with their growing love and the love/support of the club members. HEA and no cheating.
