Included in this Complete Series Unlearned I shouldn’t want Addison this much. Or at all. She’s my student, for god’s sake. But she’s so sweet, so innocent, and so, so, bendable to my every whim. I need her. I need to touch her, to taste her, to invade her soul the way she’s invaded mine. Unbroken Is it easier the second time around? Leaving Genevieve was tough enough the first time. Will the NFL have to wait? Unspoken I need her more than she knows… in more ways than one. Sweet little Lily Brogan might be innocent now, but the longer she stays in my fantasies, the more I want her. I can feel those long legs wrapped around me, imagine wrapping my hands around those full hips. I can already hear her crying out when I sink into her. I’ll make her my wife, just for appearances. I need this to save my business. She just doesn’t know this yet. Money is no object. Whatever the cost, she’s going to be mine.
This box set contains 3 of the author’s full length novels: Unlearned, Unbroken, and Unspoken. Below are two reviews to give you an idea of how good they are!
>>> Reviewing “UNSPOKEN” <<< Max Winchester has a very short amount of time to prove to his father that he is a stable, family man, worthy of running the Winchester business as its CEO. In reality, Max is more of a playboy, not interested in any kind of actual relationship -- so he must find a fake fiancée to show he has changed. He goes to the Suitors’ Club in New York City and ends up putting a huge bid on sweet, lovely “Lavender” whom he hopes will be willing to pretend to be his fake fiancée.
Lavender’s real identity is Lily Brogan. Both of her parents died and she was left caring for her seven siblings. Her youngest brother has a life-threatening illness and she needs money badly to care for him. Her friend told her about the bidding at the Club where her virginity would get her a very large amount of money, which is how she crossed paths with Max.
When they actually meet, Max and Lily can each feel the strong attraction, but love is strictly off limits! It’s a business proposition only! And Lily is only doing this for the money she desperately needs, right? But what happens when it gets harder to think about walking away when it’s over?
This is a good story that will keep the reader's attention. The author handles the emotions so well and makes the reader care about the main characters. The pacing is perfect and watching the characters deal with the truth of their “fake” relationship is very satisfying. I highly recommend this book. I think you will enjoy this well-written story.
>>> Reviewing “UNBROKEN” <<< Geni is working her usual shift at Billy’s, miserable and unhappy, tired of getting pinched on the butt by disgusting drunk men. Wearing an oversized flannel shirt and ripped jeans, she’s disgusted with the lousy tips she gets. But she has nowhere else to go.
The bar erupted in cheers as the Steelers brought them all to their feet! One of her customers, seeing how down she looked, figured she just didn’t understand football and was about to explain when she was able to describe the play perfectly in “guy speech” that was completely accurate. Another guy across the table, a football player she had gone to school with, explained to the man how she knew so much. Fortunately, he did not tell the man that she was the ex-girlfriend of Silas St Clair, Heisman Trophy winner, Super Bowl sinner, first pick draft for the Steelers. Instead, he just said she was a football groupie at their high school.
But after the touchdown, the guys looked troubled as they noticed that Silas St Clair was not getting up off the ground. He had been tackled hard after the whistle and appeared to be injured. Geni just walked away.
A week later, Silas St Clair pulled into Billy’s parking lot, eager for a burger and beer in his hometown on his way back to Pittsburgh. He figured Geni had left years ago – she couldn’t wait to get out of this town – so he wouldn’t have to deal with her. But Abby told him to get out as quickly as possible because she was actually on her way back from the bank. She walked in just as he was leaving. Four years had made a difference; she was all grown up. And they still knew how to push each other’s buttons. Was there a chance for them to see a future together? Or is the pull of the NFL stronger for Silas than what might have been between them?
This was a really good book! The characters were well developed and gave the reader a wide range of reactions to deal with. The humor helped lighten some of the more serious parts of the story line, and it all came together very well. I do recommend this book. There was just something about it that drew me in. Check it out for yourself and see if you agree!
I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. UNLEARNED: This is a very complex love story between Addison and Cain. Addison is an innocent young woman who lives in fear of her controlling emotionally and physically abusive mother. Cain is a new teacher at the college that Addison goes to and meets her on campus. There is an instant attraction. But Cain is leery of love. Having been constantly and harshly criticized by his first love in his college years he was definitely burned. As a result of this treatment he developed a lack of confidence and subsequently writers block. As Cain and Addison develop their relationship they somehow redeem each other. Cain shows Addison what it feels like to be cared for and free to express herself. Addison gives Cain the affirmation to write again. It is wonderful to read about the time they spend together knowing how dangerous it is. He could lose his job and his career as a teacher and she, well God only knows what she would suffer at the hands of her mother. But they take the risk anyway. An excellent read. I could not put it down and had to finish it in one night. I highly recommend this book. UNBROKEN: Simple story of Genevieve and Silas. High school sweethearts. It was an okay read. I wish it was longer to find out what happens after they get back together the second time. Also an epilogue would have been nice to highlight her new job and what happens to her father. I had a hard time getting into the story at the beginning but towards the middle it picks up my interest. At the end I just said to myself.. "Is that it". Like I said it was too short and could have used an epilogue. UNSPOKEN: Wow.. what a romance. Lily at a young age lost both her parents and became legal guardian of her seven brothers and sisters. Her eight year old brother Joey, was sick in the hospital needing experimental drugs she could not afford. Her best friend talks her into auctioning her virginity to the highest bidder at a sex club for wealthy men. Max, his father is dying and told him that if he wanted to succeed as CEO of the company he would have to get married. He sees Lily at the sex club and bids for her and wins. She is exactly what he wants in a woman to play his fake fiancé. There are secrets that are revealed, there is the truth of the father and son relationship that is revealed and Max starts to feel things he never thought he would. A very thrilling read about hardship, sacrifice, deceit, greed and lots of drama. I highly recommend this box set.
this set includes three books for one great price. I only read Unspoken, I liked this older man/ younger woman romance. This was a story about Max, a billionaire who's father was dying and he wanted to take over the family's company. Max had been running the company for the past year and was also known as a reckless playboy who took risks and did whatever he wanted. When his father told him he was giving the company to Max's younger brother Dan instead, Max thought if he acted like he was settled down and ready to be a family man that his father would reconsider. Max decided to try and hire a woman to be his fake fiancée, so he went to the Suitor's Club where he saw Lily and bid on her. Lily was very shy and a virgin. She only went to the club to try and earn money because she was raising her seven siblings after their parents deaths and one of her brothers was very ill. When she fled the club, she had no idea she was bid on and when she saw the amount, she accepts because Max left a note about a business opportunity. Lily goes to meet Max and agrees to be his fiancée, and to have a makeover. Max said he would never get married and doesn't do relationships, but being around Lily makes him want to claim her virginity. They become friends, but decide not to act on their attraction, even though they both want to. I liked this book. I liked how Lily showed Max there was more to life than work and I loved how she was raising her siblings. There were a couple of twists and things don't work out like planned. Good one. I will be reading the other two books too
Unlearned – A spicy forbidden romance. Addison, a student at Marysville University, lived a sheltered life controlled by her mother until she has to fulfill an English requirement her Senior year. Cain, her Creative Writing 101 professor, notices that the direction of Addison's life is probably not something she has chosen for herself. He decides that he has to help her find her passion, in multiple ways.
Unbroken – I couldn't break away.
Geni, a waitress, never got over her first love Silas, quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was not expecting to see him in their small hometown ever again. As the story progresses we learn more about the twists that their relationship has taken and the turns they are on now. With memorable past events, tricky current events and murky futures Unbroken takes the reader on an up and down ride leaving them hanging until the very end of this second chance romance.
Unspoken – I must speak out - you want to read this. Lily, waitress and legal guardian to her seven siblings, meets Max, playboy and acting CEO of the family company, in a rather unorthodox way. As the story progresses we learn more about the reasoning behind each of their choices. The book provides enough drama, spice and steam to keep the reader engaged. Unspoken takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride as this fake marriage turns real.
Haley Pierce has quickly become one of my favorite romance authors. Three wonderful reads in one place, each story deserving of 5 stars each, you absolutely can't go wrong! Buy this set now so you can go from one mesmerizing book right to the next. The stories are believable, the characters are fantastic, hotness unparalleled, grips your emotions, tons of twists and turns and did I say how likable (all of) the main characters are? Your Kindle will be sizzling! You will laugh out loud, need a tissue here and there, and most of all, privacy so you won't get interrupted because you just won't want to put it down! As you would also expect, there are also those characters you love to hate in the stories too, otherwise, how boring would that be? I refuse to give anything away, but you take this to the bank: you will not be sorry you picked up this trio, and if you've never read Haley before, you will follow her for sure now! All can be read as stand alones, but what a treat to have them all together.
Unlearned - This book was amazing. The abuse she endured from her mother was unexpected. Addison and Cain were attracted to each other from the moment they met. Great story!
Unbroken - This book was very emotional for me. Reading Geni and Silas's story made me sad. She thought she was saving herself from him by letting him go only she was waiting and wanting him the entire time. I'm glad they found their way back to each other.
Unspoken - Maxx was a true character. He thought that he didn't want love or family because of the way his father treated him. Lily was perfect for him and I'm glad he realized that in the end.
I received a free copy of this book via ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely fell in love with this book. It has great characters and an awsome storyline. I think we've all been in Addison's shoes (trying to please someone) at one time or another and never being able to. That's why I fell in love with Cain he just accepted Addison and let her be who she wanted to be . I just love a man who will fight and protect his woman. It's a great book I couldn't put down you just gotta read it!!
