I received this ebook in April of 2017. It's a short book about a young woman who runs away from home I can't find any information about this book. She wrote this book with several other authors.
Sandra E. Sinclair is a dreamer and hopeless romantic. Sandra grew up in London, England where the skies are often gray and the streets could be cleaner. However, she doesn't let this dampen her spirits. She loves her hometown and considers herself a true-blue Londoner, who is happy to find her sunshine overseas, and she does as often as she can. It’s through traveling abroad that she finds her inspiration for her stories.
Her stories are designed to elicit every emotion in her readers. You will laugh, cry, be shocked, and titillated. The one thing you won't be, is bored.
The plot had potential but the result was very disappointing. It's a romance, the two main characters fell head over heals in "like" very shortly after their first meeting, but it took almost more than half the story to see real romance. And even then it wasn't romantic at all. The womenfolk in the male protagonist's family seemed to be cursed, his grandmother died young, then his own mother dies young and last but not least his wife dies young. And for good measure, another crying widower with his little children was visiting his young wife's grave while Rafe was visiting his. I don't think Marybeth will last long.
What would you do if your father, who was an unconscionable gambler, pledged you to the man who encouraged your father to gamble beyond his wealth?
This young lady refused and took her younger sister with her halfway across the country to find a man who would save her and in the doing, take her to be his wife.
