Whew.
Book 1 is three stories in which we meet Nick, and his damage, and his current life as a PI. It is the early 1980s. If you know history, you know what's coming. That begins creepily in the three stories in Book 2 and I thought I was ready, but I was not. As I type, we are early into the US being the worst example of how to handle a pandemic (COVID-19). Echoes, you know? Book 3...did not end where I expected it to, and now I will have to read the rest of the series. I am glad I came across this series of novellas as a bundle. I liked the mysteries, but Nick is a worrisome character for this period of time, being who he is. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT???
