Perfect Ending

This was a perfect ending to another great series by this author . She did not disappoint with this one. This book had me on the edge of my seat , it was my favorite ending to any book series I have read . The author is very good at surprises! I went back and read the last couple chapters again . Definite recommendation for this author and any of her books!

Amazing! One of my new favorites. Ending might be a smidge predictable but very, very satisfying. Plus, who doesn't like it when love and forgiveness triumph?

Well, I have now finished the last book in the series.
The best of the series even though Jahrra needed an attitude adjustment at times.
Gave new meaning to the word stubborn.

After waiting for book 4 and putting the series on the back burner as result I now realise
that I should have continued checking more often. Foolish me.

Great characters and excellent sub-plots which suck you in and don’t let go, culminating in
consummate finale albeit with the prevalent tone between the 2 leading characters until
sanity finally reigns.

Highly recommended.

And if you haven’t read the author’s Otherworld Series’ get them you will not regret it.

After reading all 5 books, this is most definitely the best of them all. Author was able to bring the culmination of the fight against the Tyrant to an explosive end. There were a few minor things that didn't get tidied up as much as I would have liked, but the ending was a HEA for several of the characters. Some books endings are flat, but this one did not disappoint me at all. Author really brought out the emotions of the characters and I found myself crying right along with them. Several twists and turns that keep you hanging on. I didn't want to put this book down.

Great

These five books are awesome. I loved all of the characters especially the main ones. I especially enjoyed how they grew along with the story, you really didn't know what was coming down the pike. Pick them all up for an enjoyable story.

While I am sad to see Jahraa's adventures with her dragon companion Jaxx come to an end, I think Johnson did a great job with wrapping up this series. It is my favorite series that she has written so far. The battle with the Crimson King and the surprises learned there were definitely a surprise. And the aftermath of the battle for Jahrra trying to put her life back together was heartbreaking to read. More surprises and revelations had me frustrated with Jahrra for her stubbornness to see what most of us already knew. In the end she finally came to her senses and everything worked itself out into a satisfying ending to the Oescienne series.

Oh, the happiest of sighs!

It's not often that a series ends in a way that is absolutely soul-satisfying. I was crying at the end of this and while I never wanted it to end, it does so in the most beautiful way. I have loved every word of this story and am happy to count it among my favorites. This is one you'll never forget. Thank you, miss Johnson, for giving the world Jahrra's story. It is gorgeous.

Evil versus love

I thought that with the ending of book four Jax would die.
With Jahrra, ellyesce, denaeh going to face the crimson king
I was worried. The one who surprised me was dervit he saved them all. Jaharra did what she was supposed to do.
When the prince arrived at the castle ruins It opened up a whole new story and one that I really enjoyed.

I loved this series. I thought the series would end the second they defeated the tyrant and I would be wanting more. But the story continued a few more chapters and into their lives following which was a great way to ease out of a 5 book series that I was very invested in !

Enjoyable

I liked this series of books...they took me out of our world, and really--isn't that what fantasy books are supposed to do? I enjoyed the characters even though some of their actions are hard to believe. The final book in the series (this one) ended the way it should have, bringing Jarrah, the dragons and the elves to where they should be.

Great conclusion to this adventure! Well done!!!

Battles can be fought and won but scared are often left behind. Yet peace and happiness, even joy can be found if we allow it in. The Arthur does an excellent job of describing the final actions of this tale. So much so I found myself seeing with and for the characters of the story. Great conclusion!

If you have not previously read books 1-4, it is essential that you read the books in order to fully understand the series. If you don't, you will be missing out on a lot of key information.

This book perfectly ties all the books together. The main character of the series has always been Jahrra. For the first few books we know more about what she is meant to do with her life than she does. The author leaves clues and hints to some of the bigger mysteries that plague Jahrra's thoughts. Very few secrets have been revelaed thus far. I had many suspicions of how certain things would be once revealed, but I found out that I was only partially correct.

(If you have not yet read book 4 please don't continue)

At the end of book 4 Jahrra, Jaxx, Dervit and Ellyesce are leaving Nimbronia to make a stand against the Tyrant/Crimson King. They have no idea how many allies they will have to stand with them as they make their march into Ghorium to face down the greatest evil they have ever known. Denaeh has presented a vision of what will happen if things keep going they way they are and who may or may not be standing at the end.

Before you start this book, I highly recommend you re-read the first four books, to make sure you remember all the little details. Think of all the secrets and mysteries just to see how accurate your predictions may be.

All that I am willing to reveal about this book is that it is extremely well written. The characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through are portrayed exceptionally. Everything is so vivid I can picture it in my mind as if I were watching a movie (I hope someday this series will become a movie series). There are moments of excitement, joy, happiness, fear and pain. You feel the emotions right along with the characters as you have become so invested in their story/journey.

As I read the book knowing it was going to be the final book in the series, I was a bit sad. However, the way everything is explained and tied together I am ok. I will just have to read the series again when I miss my favorite characters. As for the ending of this book, I don't think I could have come up with a better way to end the book if I had all the time in the world.

I can't wait to see what sorts of fantastic books this author will dream up next.

Very good series!

This was a great adventure! I read all of the books in this storyline, and had a hard time putting it down. The author really knows how to draw you in. I cried when we thought Jaax had died. That is how drawn in I was. A part of me didn't want it to end. Very similar to having watched all of the Lord if the rings movies, and then thinking, so what do we do now? I loved the movies, but these books are far more detailed. Very much worth reading all of them in order!

Magnificent!!!

I don't know that, if the task had been set to me, I would have been able to complete this series as beautifully as Jenna has done. What a well thought-out finale! I cried, laughed, got frustrated with both Jahrra and Jaax. I am so very glad I read The Legend of Oescienne series.

A psychotic, selfish child who never grows up

Jahrra review

The only reason I finished this series is to find out what happened.

Jahrra never grew up. She is just as bad as the twins with her childishness and pettiness.

The author must have been lied to a lot because she is obsessed with lying and it totally destroyed my enjoyment of this series.

A character is meant to learn and grow. I'm so disappointed.
The ending was exactly as I expected except it took FIVE horrible chapters for Jharra to figure out the obvious. Even the come-uppance was ruined by Jharra.

The final chapter should have been approx chapter 32

Seriously, don't read this book and use your best imagination to finish the story as most avid readers can do.

Excellent

This final installment of the series was a long time coming but it was definitely worth the wait. We really got the Jarrah grow throughout the series and without giving anything away I was really happy with how it turned out. That being said I certainly wouldn't mind hearing more about her life in the future even if it's just a novella. :-)

FANTASTICALLY WRITTEN!

This is now one of my favorite fantasy series of all time. Superbly written. Characters that come to life before your eyes. I'm sorry I didn't write a review for the books before this, but I just couldn't stop until the last book was finished. Brilliant!

Great Read!

I look for books to do 3 things to get a top review: make me laugh , make me cry, & make me say Awe . Every chapter was a 5 rating for me.
Now I just want this story to continue

Thank you for allowing me to read multiple times with full entertainment.

Fantastic. Loved it. Had me worried for a couple of chapters about what Jaxx was going to do. It worked out in the end though.
