Is it possible to find your happily ever after if the past keeps coming back to haunt you?

It took three years, but Rain and Chase finally exchanged vows on a sandy beach as the sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean.

Happiness was theirs. But when jealousy and indiscretion threaten to unravel their tightly knit union, Rain finds herself fighting an elusive adversary—and losing.

At first blinded by love, Chase begins to encounter triggers that set him up for a fall. Opening his eyes to the truth is painful, but if he’s to survive, it’s his only option. Even if it hurts like hell.

Past experiences and present interference have a tendency to distort things, so what we think we see, might not really be true at all.

Sometimes you just need to close your eyes in order to hear what your heart has been telling you all along.

And then let it lead you home.

Mrs. February is the dramatic conclusion to the Calendar Girl duet.

O-M-Great balls of angsty angst!! This book had everything AND the kitchen sink. My heart was torn into tiny pieces and glued back together over and over and happily, I didn't want it to stop!

To be honest, I had no idea what direction this book was going to take. I knew there would definitely be drama with Chase and Rain but never to the extent it did. My heart is just breaking thinking about it. Karen Cimms really knocked this one out of the park!

To start with, the prologue knocks you for a loop and then leaves you high and dry. We then get to read about some sugary, romantic sweetness. Unfortunately, that doesn't last.

It was like a car wreck you couldn't turn away from. The hits kept coming and I was disappointed in Rain. By this time, she should know better, however, I was shocked to the extent she took things after the fact.

Chase wasn't any better. Talk about jumping to conclusions...holy hell! Someone really needed to talk with him and it's too bad Dylan wasn't there for him when he needed it. Or even Wally for that matter.

description

There were so many pivotal scenes...some I loved and some I hated but they all hurt so good. The shop scene? Absolutely amazing but I did really hate what Rain was put through.

And as if all that wasn't enough, there's more drama with someone from Rain's past. Ugh...I hated how that played out as well...my heart literally broke.

But...but, things have a way of working out. I did feel that how things worked out with the someone from Rain's past was a little too convenient but at the same time, I'm thrilled it did.

And the ending and epilogue was absolutely priceless. Karen Cimms worked her magic...again. Amazing duet, fantastic romance and heartbreaking angst...what more could you ask for? Angst lovers - you need to read this!!

Wow. With Mrs February, the other shoe dropped really far down a rabbit hole.

In Miss February, the H is a nice guy, understanding of the heroine’s single mother status and totally in love. Here he turns into a jealous, possessive idiot about five minutes away from a murder/suicide. It’s chilling and my mouth was hanging open through about half the book over all the incredibly stupid and self-destructive things he does. Again, while a little over the top, his reactions were believable.

The couple are married and sooooo happy except the hero keeps thinking he sees the heroine’s ex lurking around.

I am very conflicted about the book and the HEA as the H feels waaayyyyy too unstable. I did like the fact that the author dropped little clues in the first book that grow into full grown issues in this. Still not sure he won’t crack again, but a thumbs up anyway.

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.

At the end of the first book you as the reader don't really have an idea of what is going to happen. I can tell you, whatever you thought would be wrong!

When you read the prologue - again you think aah I know what has happened - again wrong. Then when you are reading the lead up to the prologue in the book - the thought running through my head was No!! This happened a lot in this one!

This book puts the reader through the mill. Will you be mad at the h & H - yes. Will you empathise with the h & H - yes. Will you want to bash their heads together - yes! Will you have the not so nice feeling in your stomach through parts of the book - yes.

In the review for book 1 I said everyone needed a Chase - in this book you will want to throw him back and then in the next breath hug him! However, Rain grew so much in this one and I really liked her.

Whilst you are on the journey all I will say is trust the author - she will get you to the place you want to be.

So, I am rating this book as a duet, because
you have to read this whole entire mess, in
order to give it an honest review. I will start
with the good......It had vast potential. So we
meet Rain, she is a young single mother, who
is in love, but not with our hero, with Preston.
Preston from the beginning is leading Rain on,
and she is his doormat. Then we meet Chase,
our supposed hero, who is in a relationship with
his fiancee. After tons of drama, Rain dumps
the newly single Preston for Chase. And guess
what! She is pregnant and doesn't know who
the father of her baby is. So Rain, being the
most beautiful and desirable woman on earth,
falls madly in love with Chase. Chase is extremely
possessive and border-line crazy for Rain. He
breaks up with Rain, after Chase professes
that she is the love of his life, over a misunder-
standing. Then what does our hero do? Well
he starts sleeping with Rain's life long nemesis,
and gets engaged to her. All the while
Rain is celibate and pining for Chase. I
don't think I have ever hated a man more
than I do Chase. He is an infant. His petty
jealousies made me loathe him, and why
does he get to sleep around, get engaged, and
then just get forgiven. Please. This book
also had problems with its time line. The kids
were small and before you know it they are
preteen. I solely read the second part of this
duet so I could laugh and see how they ended
up together. I wish Rain would have divorced
Chase and he lived a miserable life or maybe
even, die a slow, painful, horrible death. The
1 star is for the ending of the book and how
she pulled it all together, although that
was corny and unbelievable too.

Where do I begin? The prologue is only a small hint at what's to come and it put me slightly on edge. But to soothe that, we get a romantic beginning and the beautiful start we were hoping for after finishing Miss February. It doesn’t always mean smooth sailing. And really, would you want that? Mrs. February takes us on a journey of promise, love, pain, acceptance and forgiveness and dare I say, redemption. Two souls come together yet face all the same struggles that any couple would face. Through Karen Cimms's expressive prose you experience the full spectrum of emotions. Chase is wonderful but insecurities plague him. Rain is so full of love and understanding yet sometimes oblivious to what’s going on around her. I'll admit there were times I wanted to wring Chase's neck and just knock some sense into Rain. Newlywed mistakes, poor communication and evil in-laws have you cringing, hoping and praying they get a clue. One minute my heart is so full of happiness and the next beating so hard I think it's going to break. It's like a train wreck you can’t turn away from but so desperately want too so you don’t have to witness the devastation that comes with the destruction. But please know, the moments of sheer joy outweigh the pain. Chase and Rain grow so much as individuals and as a couple. Their story is real, raw and beautiful. Mrs. February is the perfect conclusion to the duet. And for those of you waiting for both books to be available so they can be read one right after the other, it is well worth the wait.

I expected Chase and Rain to walk off into the sunset happily ever after, but no, it got really angsty. Actually I did not get what happened. ***Spoiler alert*** Chase spent about 50% of the book with another woman. He got engaged to her. They were together till the day of the wedding. Rain meanwhile existed broken hearted. All because of a stupid misunderstanding that he did not clear up post haste, and constant stupid jealousy. I know Rain made some stupid decisions but she did not mean any harm. Just because a woman is pretty, she is loose? No. Or, she should be ashamed of her body? I am not a fan of Chase in this book am afraid.

He came round almost too late in my mind. Preston also hung around to cause trouble. This is just an average read for me.

I really enjoyed Miss February, but this conclusion to the duet honestly blew me away.
Mrs. February had me crying real tears of sadness and happiness at different times. I wanted to smack Rain a few times and I wanted to strangle Chase many times. At first you think you know how this story will progress, but it's a roller coaster--I felt my heart in my throat many times as I wondered what was going to happen next and worried about where the story would lead. It was an amazing ride and I loved it!

Ok, so this one had me hooked! In book one I wanted to pummel Rain and only had me wanting to read book 2 just to see who she ended up with. Now, book 2? I wanted to stab Chase in the eye...many times! The story had me staying up way too late to finish. It also produced a few tears and some moments I wanted to throw my tablet across the room, lol. This was what I was waiting for in the story - all those feels!

This was such an emotional book about love, marriage, jealousy, and trust.

I loved Rain through the whole book and even though she made some difficult decisions she did everything out of love and trying to get ahead in her life with Chase. She didn’t do anything on purpose to incite Chase’s jealousy and was always trying to do the right thing for her family and she truly put up with a lot from Chase. Through the book Rain continued to be the bigger person and I was blown away about how grown up she was, especially when dealing with the kids. I loved a few of her actions that got Chase thinking what he was missing.

So at first I really liked Chase and then the way he was acting with his jealousy just completely turned me off and I wound up hating him for most of the book. I was just so mad at him for his completely selfish actions and when the one really big incident occurred he never even listened to Rain to hear the truth as she had no idea what even happened. Then as the book went on my hate for him grew more and more and I was so mad at what he proceeded to do with his life.

My heart broke with what was happening around Zac and I felt so bad for what Rain was going through on her own. I jumped for joy when things got resolved.

So I really had mixed reviews at the end of the book. I was glad that Rain got what she really wanted but I truly felt Chase did not deserve any forgiveness for his actions.

This was a good book but I was a little mad at the end!

Ms. Cimms has outdone herself with the second part of this duet. After being left hanging with Miss February months ago I needed to know if Rain and Chase could weather the storm. This book was very emotional and gave me some pointers for my own marriage, and I loved it. O much. I wanted to slap Chase a few times, as well as shake some sense into Rain. She frustrated me with her childish ways at times and I could see how she too was part of the problem. That said, Chase should’ve manned up and realized what he was doing to her and their family. There were many twists and turns, with a few surprises thrown in but I could not envision a better story for this beautiful family. My only wish is that we could have more of this couple.

Wow! A lot of angst in this book! I loved Rain, but Chase had me on a roller coaster. His jealousy and his imagination caused a lot of pain for both him and Rain. I still rooted for them throughout the misunderstandings. I prayed Chase would smarten up, before he lost Rain for good. I only wish it hadn't taken him as long as it did, to realize the truth. Rain loved him unconditionally, even though sometimes Chase didn't deserve her love. It was clear though that Chase and Rain belonged together with Izzy and Zac.

This is the second book in the series and book one, Miss February needs to be read first.
Rain Storm Holgate has finally married the man she loves, Chase, and they have her daughter and their son.
As much as they are still madly in love with each other, Chase is still insecure when it comes to Rain and is insanely jealous when it comes to his beautiful wife. When several incidents occur, Chase jumps to conclusions and makes a decision with dire results.
Will Chase and Rain give up the love they have worked so hard to attain or will they give up on each other?
This was such an emotional book about love, marriage, jealousy, and trust.

This book was much longer, thank goodness, than the first book. And oh so worth it. When I tell you this book had me by the balls you better believe it. There were parts in the book that had me IG messaging the author, asking WHY!!!!! The part that broke me was when Chase walked away for so damn long. He walked away.........

I couldn't vibe with Chase. I mean, I tried to understand his POV in the beginning but the more I read, the more I wad like this is BULLSHIT! Completely crap (not the writing but Chase's reasoning). I just could not get over his moving out so quick and fast, without communicating. But I knew he was hurting. Next is Rain. She definitely contributed to his response considering his past but to jump to the conclusion.... I'll just let you decide the rest.

In the end, you cried and celebrated with the characters. You came to understand the inner workings of their life and how they managed to make it work with so many odds against them. That is what I loved. I also thought the parenting of Izzy and Zac was real and amazing.

Rain was a dedicated mother that even when Chase left she didn't turn the kids bitter and keep them away from him. A BIG Plus to her character. If you want a book that shows love and mistakes this is a definite read. The author put her all into this book. You found out that love is hard and that mistakes and misunderstanding, essentially bad communication can lead to serious damage.

The biggest surprise to me was Preston's action in the end. He started off as a serious jerk who needed a beat down, but by the powers that be, maybe thanks to Rain's father watching over her, he changed. With the gift he bestowed on her and Chase, he was redeemed in my eyes. Mrs. February is a 10 star read. 5 star is not nearly enough.

Disclaimer: Before reading, make sure to protect your heart .It will have you crying, expressing madness mad and brokenhearted.  The one nine. A  highly very talented author.  Great job Karen Cimms :)

After reading Miss February I was so damn addicted with this duet that I devoured Mrs. February right after I finished Miss February.

We pick up where we left off in Miss February. Chase and Rain are more in love than ever before. They get married, and Chase treats Rain's daughter like if she were his own biological daughter. Now that's what I call a real man right there in LOVE. Not all spouses will take in a step child with open arms. But Chase won my heart right here with the way he loved this little girl.

Things get a whole lot complicated for Rain and Chase. When I thought that nothing could destroy their marriage, everything comes tumbling down. My heart was sincerely heartbroken with the way things were turning out for Rain and Chase and all due to misunderstandings and lack of communication.

And I'm so proud of Rain for being a strong woman and even though she was hurting because of what was happening in her marriage, she carried herself pretty well. She might have felt broken, sad and depressed, but she really pulled herself together when she was out in public.

Chase made me want to hate him in this book because he was so damn hard headed. He wouldn't listen to Rain and let her explain to him what went down the day their marriage broke.

I am totally in love with this duet and I wish it could have been a longer series, but I know it has to end somewhere! I did like the way it ended though. Ms. Cimms did a marvelous job with this duet!

5 Outstanding Stars!

Mrs. February is the conclusion of the Calendar Girl Duet and it takes us on quite a bumpy ride. This book proves that sometimes even when we have found The One, even when things are going well - that Happily Ever After's take work, that sometimes all that starts well, doesn't remain and that communication is key.

Chase and Rain found their happiness, they found each other and finally get married, but life isn't always easy and sometimes the past has ways of clouding our judgments and haunting us. These two have a lot to work through if they are going to find out whether or not Love is enough and as they work through their issues, they'll be taking emotional journeys getting to the heart of themselves as well.

Mrs. February isn't always sunshine and rainbows, but it is deep, and moving, and will suck you into the story, anxious to know what happens next, equal parts annoyed and heart-warmed. This book made me want to smack someone a time or two, made me want to yell at both of the characters, but it also showed the trials a couple can go through, that reality isn't always pretty and communication is important. Even when I was mad at Chase, I couldn't stop reading, couldn't stop rooting for these two to figure it out and work on their issues.

Karen Cimms has a way of writing that not only invites you to feel all of the feels, but sucks you into them, a way with words that grabs your attention and holds you captive.

The rollercoaster that was book one in this series continues big time in this book - I loathe Preston, the Richie Rich in Rain's life - We know from book one that as much as he professes to love Rain, it never really flew with me - I get the his aristocratic family thinks Rain is so beneath them and he would lose all if he doesn't go through with marrying the correct woman. I despise men with no balls who happens to be a bully and that is Preston. On to Chase - the drop dead gorgeous everyday man who from their very first encounter Rain just knew he would have an impact on her life. In the first book Chase is a dream come true for the heartbroken Rain, knowing all about heartbreak himself, this man goes to great lengths to see below the every man's wet dream that is Rain and in Karen Cimms hands it works - until it doesn't. I can count on one hand how many main male characters I went from loving to wanting to murder in the same book, and since Ms Cimms wrote one of those in her beloved Of Love and Madness Series, I was waiting for the rip-out-my-heart moments and the wonderfully satisfying conclusion. I did experience the former, not so much the latter. Chase to me did too much too soon to break the bond he had with Rain and in the end it's the children that won, but I can't help feeling that Rain deserved more, but then again when you had your heart broken over and over again I guess this is a HEA for her, just seemed a little too easy for Chase.

THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN A DUET AND ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BE READ AS A STAND-ALONE. YOU MUST READ MISS FEBRUARY FIRST.
Holy rollercoaster ride Batman. Holy fuck. My god. I'm not sure if I can even. Did, did that book just happen? Did? Yeah? Woah. Honestly, IN ALL HONESTY, if you want to end a story on a happy ending and not to feel your heart be put into a meat grinder and then into a hot dog and onto a grill and eaten and with all the fixings, then put back together again, if you don't want that then you could probably just not even read this one and just stop at the ending of Miss February. You get your HEA there, with the engagement and Ill even give you the spoiler of the fact that they did get married!
I had to go back and read the synopsis on all platforms to make sure that I don't give anything away with this story. Because really, you wont expect any of it. You're getting slapped in the face at every turn. Just one after another and if you feel like you might be let up, you're just going to get knocked again. I mean, YEAH, you get the happiness at the end. But its a hell of a bumpy ride to get there. Its more than bumps, its more like, you've driven off a few cliffs.
But the kids. The kids made my heart in this story. I wanted the happiness because of the damn kids. And Chase and Rain man. Rain is, deep down a damn good man. But in this one, you'll hate the dude a little bit. Ok. A lot. You'll want to yell at him to pull up his big boy pants and talk like an adult. And poor Rain. I love her. She's so strong, but so so vulnerable. This girl started off as a smoking hot single mom, has gone through hell, and this story is no exception.

It never ceases to amaze me that an author can create fictional characters and add words to a page and those words can have me feeling such intense emotions. This story was an absolute rollercoaster of a read and left me feeling exhausted!
Karen Cimms is wonderful at engaging with fans and I felt the need to tweet her and tell her exactly what I was feeling from time to time LOL.
I'm trying to think of what I can add to this review without giving away any spoilers. If I had been reading a paperback copy, I probably would have skipped to the end to get a glimpse of how the story ended, because at times I was beside myself with sorrow and not knowing what turn the story would take next.
I wanted to cry.
I wanted to smack Chase upside the head.
I wanted to throw my Kindle at the wall.
I wanted to lock Chase and Rain in a room together and throw away the key!

https://media2.giphy.com/media/cIoZe5...

I was assured that I just needed to keep reading...which of course I did and was eventually able to get some much needed sleep.

I highly recommend you add Karen Cimms to the top of your 'must read' list.

Blown away! I can't stop thinking about this book!
Mrs. February the conclusion to the thrilling calendar girl duet was a book with ALL the feels. I fell even more in love with leading lady, Rain, and adored how she did 'human.' Credit to the author for creating characters that were so refreshingly REAL. Rain and Chases' story to find their way back to love again was an angsty, drama filled ride with some sweet, touching moments and painful truly heart wrenching ones (my heart was duly wrenched at times!), it was very satisfying to see them triumph over their villains and even more satisfying, in some cases, to see villains triumph over even themselves. To be in the energy of love like the one Rain and Chase share is truly transformative. Thank you Karen Cimms for another breathtakingly beautiful read.

I was left hanging at the end of Miss February and was dying to find out what happened next with Rain and Chase. I enjoyed Rain’s character, even though she got a bit annoying at times, but overall, the storyline kept me intrigued and wanting to keep reading. Chase on the other hand, irritated the crap outta me! He didn’t deserve Rain and his jealousy was too overbearing. I thought the characters were written well and the plot kept me interested (full of emotion and anger), but I wasn’t impressed with the way it ended. That’s the only reason I couldn’t give it a higher rating.

Thank you to the author for the ARC!

This is the conclusion to the Calendar Girl duet. It cannot be read as a standalone.
That said this book picks up right where Miss February ended, and it was the perfect ending.
Sharp, clever writing. The author has you hanging on every word to see how this intriguing and compelling conclusion ends.
Nothing is what it appears!!
Intense, twisted and emotional Chase and Rain’s journey continues.
Oh the emotions... as their bumpy, roller coaster ride of a relationship is tested and retested.
My first read by this author and what a treat. I was sucked in and couldn’t put this book down.

She did it again!

This duet.....{sigh}..... was amazing. I laughed, cried, yelled (more than once) and cheered, all while falling in love with Rain and her story. I knew going in, I had to trust Karen’s brilliant story telling. I knew I had to buckle up for a bumpy ride. Knowing it didn’t make it any easier reading through the struggles. I had to take frequent reading breaks to get my emotions in check. But boy it was worth it! ❤️

This conclusion of the duet completely gutted me. Such an emotional journey filled with extreme highs and lowest of lows. A whirlwind that had my heart stopping and in shreds only to slowly start beating and becoming whole again. The questions and things left open ended in the first book, Miss February, were all answered. Maybe not in the way us readers were hoping, but there was nothing left unfinished. I was completely invested in Rain and Chase's lives and their story and read it straight through. My only advice to fellow readers, have wine and a box of Kleenex ready.
