I have admired Angela Pan's photography since first seeing her beautiful image of the Vietnam Memorial. I am a child of an Air Force Veteran and moved frequently returning to the Washington DC area as my maternal grandparents lived in Arlington. This photo had special meaning.

I started following her work, subscribed to her newsletter and continued to be impressed with her variety of subjects from the DC area and the variant perspectives she chose. She truly has an artist's vision and captures iconic images of a city that is obviously well loved. When I read about her book, I was eager to purchase it for many reasons and it goes beyond all expectations.

Ms. Pan is a generous author. She has included so much useful information - maps, where to park, closest metro stations, time of day, as well as camera settings and equipment. For those who love Washington DC and for those photographers either looking for inspiration or guidance, this is the book for you! I love it and plan to purchase copies to share with a few friends as gifts. I would most definitely recommend her book. I have read it three times already.

Great guide for anyone— be it local, temporary transplant, or visitor

This is a great guide for taking photos around DC. Angela gives good direction and detail in terms of the best time when to shoot and even how to get there. The photos in the book have great composition and shows mastery in technique and lighting. The book also includes some hidden gems in the DC area. I wish this type of book and format was available for other cities too! It's a photo book that I'll be likely to reference throughout the year.
