How I jumped and danced when I found out we were getting more of my favorite and  delicious "Unbreakable Gods". I love every single book in the "Unbreakable Bonds" series and getting some more was such a treat !!

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor a treat gif

Let me start by saying that this book can not be read as a stand alone...but why would you even want to ?? There are 4 awesome books before this one (not counting the short strories), and if you haven't read them yet...I strongly advice you do it right now !!!

[crop output image]

All the Unbreakable couples are doing great, and Ian is working hard, planning Lucas and Andrei's upcoming wedding... With the way he is stressing, I am very curious to see what his wedding is gonna be like....I can't wait for that !! https://www.google.com/search?q=emoticons

Anyways..it wouldn't be the Unbreakable series if danger wasn't lurking around in a corner somewhere...

One phone-call, just two weeks before Lucas and Andrei's wedding,  takes Lucas and Snow back to their pasts... And what an ugly past it is..

Thankfully our boys are not the same boys they used to be. They are strong now and they are not alone...they are a big family, which is getting even bigger with this new book ;)

Now that's all you're gonna get from me, because I don't want to spoiler. My advice, pre-order this baby and if you haven't started this series yet .. DO SO NOW !!!!

I can't wait to see what's next, in this series but also in the "Ward Security" series. These two lovely ladies have definitely raced their way to the top of my "favorite authors" list and I don't expect them to ever leave it ;)

I highly recommend this series !!

LUCAS! LUCAS! GAAAH! I need a Lucas in my life. This guy commands the room.

I believe somewhere along this series reading journey, my heart fell in love hard with Lucas and Hollis. I still love the rest but i love Lucas more.

description

I am so happy, i decide to give this series a chance. I realized that to enjoy it, i didn't need to go that deep, sometimes it is never that serious. Just go with the flow and you will love it.

Love! Love the bonds in this series. The friendship, the brotherhood and the Love between these guys is amazeballs.

The code-names and Ian planning the wedding;

The Wedding:

Lucas leaned in and nipped at Andrei’s lower lip. He kissed and sucked on it for a second before releasing it. “That’s tempting, baby. But I’m looking forward to introducing the world to my husband.”
Andrei jerked back, cocking his head slightly to the side. “You are?”
“I want the world to know that you are mine, Husband.”
“Husband,” Andrei repeated. He slid his arms around Lucas’s shoulders, drawing him in closer. “I really like the sound of that.

Reread May 2023: Audiobook = ***3.5 Stars***

Original review June 2018:

***5+ Stars*** for the highlight and therefore my new favorite in this series! ❤️

Sorry peeps, I would love to write a gushing review for this book and gushing it would be, but sadly RL has other plans.

So let me just say that I could hardly believe my luck when I saw we will get a full-length novel about the loooooong anticipated wedding of Lucas and Andrei and it delivered big time. But of course, leave it to the guys that the way to their wedding includes things that go Bildergebnis für boom Umm, would I want it any other way? Hell, no. ;-)

For more in-depth details, please read Christelle's review.

Karen, Christelle and Anne, thank you for another awesome buddy-read and Josy for stopping by. I had a blast reading this book in such amazing company. ❤️

4.5 I’M SO HAPPY STARS

“I love you, and I am always so proud to be with you. You are my forever.”
“And this is just the beginning.”

Lucas and Andrei are so innocent.
Their love is so freaking pure.
Yes, they has individuals are not innocent, not at all, and yes, they do have a lot and I mean a lot of sex, but their love is just the purest kind.
It comes from trust, respect, passion, development and they are so freaking good with each other. I’m in love.

I LOVE THEM SO FUCKING MUCH.

I absolutely loved this end.
It gave me closer and answers to question that I didn’t know I had until I read this.

And action, one thing you will always get, beside the romance and friendship, is ACTION. A very good combination that I love.

I love all of the characters, and like always the friendship is just GOALS.

I absolutely love this series and is definitely in the list of my favorites series of all fucking time.

I recommend it to every living and dead person.
Even the dead should experience such a beautiful well writing story.

“Andrei said “I love you” with every touch, every look, and every act. It was amazing that it had taken him so long to see it, but now that he could, it was as obvious as the sun in the sky”

Okay, goodbye.
I’m a sobbing mess of happiness right now.
You all should just read this book and enjoy this fuckingtastic characters for yourselves.

YEAH !!! My rating has everything to do with the rush I had during this read : I had a very entertaining time with my favorite couple from the unbreakable bonds series : Lucas and Andrei.

First, thank you to the authors for not making it around the dramalala of a wedding preparation. This is something that bores me. No, what I got was all the things that made me enjoy this series : very, very hot characters, the display of friendship among these 4 friends and their plus-one, the banter and the fun of “codenames” (yes, it makes me laugh each time), the high level of steam coupled with feels...yes, tons of steam and tons of feels !!

In this fifth book, Lucas and Snow are going back to their hometown, facing some bad memories from their childhood, dealing with family members, for better or worse, while, of course, stumbling on some nasty business and with a time constraint : Lucas and Andrei’s wedding is going to take place soon.
It’s fast-paced, funny, hot and swoony. In short, I flew over the pages and enjoyed every moment of it.

This is not a standalone imo as it’s about an established couple, their friends and their lives. Highly recommended for all the fans of this series, especially the ones who drooled over Lucas and Andrei. And cherry on the cake, there’s more coming during this 2018 winter with Snow and Jude.

extra bonus : BR with my partners in crime, ie Simone, Anne, Karen and the visit of Josy. Thanks, friends, for sharing this great time.

As if I would rate this anything other than 5 stars. I was trash for the billionaire and the bodyguard then, and I am trash for them now.

The Unbreakable Bonds series is utterly irresistible catnip for me. The love story of Andrei and Lucas, the very first and the very best (in my very unbiased opinion) couple, culminates in Blaze. While Blaze is lighter than its predecessors, the story features all the hallmarks of the series: dashes of danger and daring, copious laughs, toe-curling sexytimes, and heart-warming friendship. And love. So much love.

My Goodreads friends know that I was a bit, um, excited to revisit the boys. But I generally agree with the sentiments that Jennifer expressed in her review regarding revisits of beloved series. Revisits are great in theory but not always in practice. Blaze proved that Drake and Elliott are more than capable of revisiting these couples without boring us to tears (avoiding, as Christelle described it, "dramalala" over cake and flowers and seating arrangements) or breaking our hearts. Well, my heart did break a little, but it was the good kind of break.

Lucas and Snow return to a hometown that is anything but homey, harboring painful memories from the past and present threats. And where Lucas goes, Andrei follows. I'm likely in danger of overdosing on the love here, but I loved how they have come full-circle from Shiver while still paralleling those early days. I loved jealous Andrei because jealous Andrei is smoldering sex on a stick. l loved that their loyalty and trust and passion co-existed with fear and hesitation and doubt. Because THAT is a relationship. Good and bad and everything in between.

I was glad to see Rowe and Noah (but I would be glad to see even more of them since I remain of the opinion that their story was the most well-written and emotional of the series but Rowe still has some making up to do to Noah and basically this is my way of saying that I wouldn't complain if they got another story and may in fact actually do a happy dance or two). And I would always welcome more Hollis and Ian, but I found it fitting that the cop remains the butt of Lucas and Snow's jokes (even though they love him, they really do) and the chef's big heart has him caring for everyone and everything.

Much love to my partners in reading, Christelle, Karen, and Simone, and our visitor, Josy. I am excited for Snow and Jude's revisit, but I am even MORE excited to read with you ladies! 💚

All in all, I think that my fellow Unbreakable Bonds fans will be pleased with Blaze. I certainly was.

Oh, it's only a story featuring the wedding of THAT couple from THAT series. That's cool.

I mean, Andrei and Lucas are only one of my favorite couples in m/m romance. It's not like I've dreamed about their wedding or anything.

And the Unbreakable Bonds series is only one of my favorite romantic suspense series. It's not like I've longed for more stories in that universe since I finished reading Unbreakable Stories: Ian.

And it's coming out in one month. That's cool.

Me (in my head):

Me (in reality):

I have a feeling that this scene will play out often in our household over the next month (sincerest apologies to my husband, my neighbors, and my mailman):

Is there such a thing as a bad Unbreakable Bonds book? I highly freakin’ doubt it! This series just goes from strength to strength, always such easy, addictive reading for me, featuring the kind of found family I adore and romantic suspense arcs that hold me captive.

Lucas and Andrei (and their large group of friends and family) are back for yet another heart-warming, sexy-as-sin, nail-biting adventure, this time following a plot that sees Lucas and bestie Snow returning to the Oklahoma small-town of their childhood nightmares, all in an effort to help Lucas’ estranged sister, after his teenage niece gets caught up in a dangerous scheme involving local oil business that are doing sketchy things.

As always, the romance between Lucas and Andrei remains exquisite and the character dynamics, between lovers and friends, are even more wonderful than ever before, proving that some series really do get better as they go along.

The suspense element was engaging and I appreciated the change of scenery, but the small-town hate weighed enough on my enjoyment that this wasn’t the easy 5 star read I became accustomed to earlier in the series. I simply have little time or tolerance these days for the kind of toxicity and outrageous judgement that Lucas’ parents and Snow’s whackdoodle religious family were spewing here, and that’s okay.

There was little else to complain about here, I promise. As always, I had a great time revisiting old favourites, whom I still consider amongst the crème de la crème of the MM romance world. And best of all?!? We FINALLY get the wedding we’ve been waiting for, and what a heart-melting moment that was, indeed!

Still my favorite of the series.

------------------------------

Oh yeah, this was way better than I expected. I don’t really like ‘extra’ books in a series not featuring a new couple, so I was quite surprised with how much I liked this. But this was so heavy on all kind of hurt/comfort that I was in my happy place.

Lucas is startled when Snow comes to tell him his sister is there. His sister, who he hasn’t seen since she was 14. Who rejected him just like his parents did. She has now come to ask for his help in looking for her 16 year old daughter.

Lucas is not ready to forgive her, but he can’t turn his back on his innocent niece, so that’s why he and Snow return to their home town together. But being in the place they grew up brings back a lot of unhappy memories for both of them.

And when it looks like his niece stumbled upon a hornet’s nest, Lucas and Snow have to do everything to keep Lucas’ sister and his niece (and themselves) out of trouble. And of course they need to show up for Lucas and Andrei's wedding in time...

I loved the bond between Lucas and Snow in this, with them both struggling emotionally. And I loved how Andrei was there for Lucas when he needed him. I also did a happy dance when Rowe and Noah There were so many awesome parts in this book that I can’t mention them all. It was just so focused on emotional connections, that I melted into a puddle of goo.

There may have been some tears near the end.

If you’re a hurt/comfort fan like me, or just a fan of this series, you can’t miss out on this book.

Reread January 2019

This has been an amazing series and I’m sure I’ll continue to reread it. I do wish I’d have gotten to read about Ian and Hollis getting married and of course babies. It would be fun to see how this family of men deals with that.

Originally read August 2018

So it's official...Lucas and Andrei are my favorite couple of this series. This was just icing on the cake. Wedding cake that is. I think I cried the last 10%. It was beautiful. While I feel all the guys love their respective partners, there is just something about the way Lucas and Andrei are with each other and how they feel about each other that just gets me every time. It doesn't hurt that Lucas is a total alpha who has a soft spot for his man.

I think the "mystery/suspense" part of this wasn't that interesting *yikes* but I am glad Lucas reconnected with his sister and niece and has gained more family. His sperm and egg donor are awful.

I think I said in Snow's book, I didn't really get why he was the way he was. I feel like it was toned down in his book. But holy hell! I get it now. I hate that he had to experience that pain all over again and without Jude there to help him through. But I know he's going to be alright. He's got a great family and a wonderful man who will remind him who he has become.

I have enjoyed the hell out of this series and I hate I don't have any more books to read right now. This is just one of those series where I could read 100 books about these couples and not get bored.

And SO. MUCH. KISSING. *sigh* I'm in heaven.

Lucas is hot. So goddamn hot. Lucas and Andrei together is even hotter. I like that we get to see Lucas on a more personal level by facing the past, and to see more of his b e a u t i f u l friendship with Snow. Overall, I hope we get more of Andrei and Lucas.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Nice to see them again*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

We got another book about the self-made millionaire and owner of many properties, has worked his way up to be one of the most powerful men in the city Cincinnati, Lucas ‘Luc’ Vallois (39) and his other half Andrei Hadeon (mid-twenties?). I hadn't know that we were getting another, but I was happy we did. I felt like the other books in the series wasn't enough of HEA for the couple, but this one really gave me the feels. Though I wouldn't mind another one of the two of them. I adore their relationship, I love their possessiveness, and I love the trust they have. However, what I actually love the most with this series is Lucas and Snow's friendship. It's really beautiful, and a part of me sorta ship them. Don't get me wrong, I love Andrei and Lucas together, but there's just something beautiful and special between Snow and Lucas. Overall, I enjoyed seeing the characters again. The book is filled with action, love, friendship and healing.
Snow sighed and closed his eyes. Lucas’s heart ached for him. His memories weren’t great, but Snow had been treated like something less than garbage, and Lucas had spent the majority of his first eighteen years doing what he could to offer him something good.
His love for Ashton Frost was fierce—there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for the man, and it had been that way since the first day they’d met when Snow had been a dirt-covered, angry boy facing a group of bullies.
Theirs was a connection he’d never been able to explain. It wasn’t sexual, but it was something deeper than friends and brothers. He just flat-out loved the man. Always had.
He was reminded that Snow felt the same when his light blue eyes opened and focused on Lucas. They stared at each other for a few moments before a small smile pulled up one corner of Snow’s lips. “You’re gonna be a married man.”
“Shocking, isn’t it?”
“A few years ago, it would have been but not now. Not after watching the two of you together the past couple of years.”

Other characters:
↦ Doctor (Maverick trauma surgeon), Ashton ‘Snow’ ‘General’ Frost (38?), Lucas' closest friend, the one he sees as his brother. Their bond is quite special. I only wish we had gotten more of their special relationship (my doves).
↦ Paramedic at UC Hospital, Jude Torres (31?), the one who finally made Snow feel romantic love. A adorable guy. Didn't like that it sometimes felt like he had authority over Lucas. That didn't work for me.
Rowan ‘Rowe’ Ward (39?), owner of Ward Security and who Snow and Lucas met after Army basic training and the three men had been stuck together ever since. His wife, Melissa ‘Mel’ Ward, died in book #2. I didn't like Rowe all that much in the start, but after his own book, that changed. I didn't love him, but I liked him.
Noah Keegan (how old?), old Army buddy of Rowe and Rowe's second chance at love. Seemed like a good guy and I liked him.
Ian ‘E’ Pierce (26), chef and owner of Rialto restaurant and the one the group sees as their little brother. He seems adorable and you can't help but want to protect him.
↦ Detective for the Cincinnati Police Department, Hollis Banner (how old?), seems a bit annoying, yet I believe he's supposed to be a somewhat bad boy? I dunno. After reading his and Ian's book, I like him just fine, but I didn't connect with him.
Sonja and Milos Hadeon, Andrei's parents.
Nicole Vallois (35), Lucas' sister. The last time he'd seen his sister, she’d been only 14, when she turned her back to him. Her daughter, Taylor Vallois (16). Smart and a female version of Lucas.
↦ Police officer, Carl Alexander, Lucas' first hand job and blow jobs; an ex of sorts.
Barbara and Roy Vallois, Lucas' parents. Horrible people.
“Check in,” Rowe said in his ear. “Olaf in position and it looks like there’s a damn party going on.”
“Kristoff in position,” Noah came back. “I’ve got eyes on five people, and nobody looks happy.”
“Anna and Elsa nearly in position. We can see the lights and some vehicles,” Andrei replied.
“Why the fuck am I Marshmallow?” Snow grumbled. Rowe snickered over the communication link. Rowe had been the one to pick their code names this time around since he’d come up with the plan. He was also feeling the most left out of this adventure.
“Seriously, Marshmallow, you need to let it go.” Noah came back.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M)

I've read every book in the Unbreakable Bonds Series and the spin-off books. And you have no idea how excited I got when they announced that they're finally doing a book about Lucas and Andrei's wedding.

Like no big deal, right? They're only one of my favorite couples to have ever been written.

It was so nice to get more of Lucas, Rowe, Snow & Ian. Everyone is settled down and happy and it made me happy. It was a good day to read the book. I love how there's always some action with all of them around while also trying to plan a wedding.

Blaze kept me on my toes, made me smile, swoon, and love Ian even more. if I didn't know any better, I would say to make more books for them all.

A slow smile spread across Andrei's lips, and Lucas swore it was like watching the sun rise.

I just can’t get enough of these guys. This book turned out to be one of my favourites.

The wedding is only a couple of weeks away. But Lucas gets a visit from someone he never thought he’d see again. And this person needs help. This help is far more complicated than they first imagined. It threatens not only the wedding but their lives as well.

I really enjoyed this book. The glimpse we get into the past Luca’s and Snow shared is awful. I’m so glad they had each other and they managed to escape. But now they’ve been sucked back in. When and if they leave will they be the same?

“.......I will always love you. You are my everything, Andrei Hadeon. You are my heart, my will, and my joy. Lucas Vallois doesn’t exist anymore without Andrei Hadeon.”

Straight onto the next book for me now.

This review should be accompanied by a soundtrack of Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back In Town, Gary Moore & Phil Lynott's Out In The Fields, add a dash of Donna Summer's Love To Love You Baby, and round it off with a final encore of Pull Up To The Bumper from Grace Jones and Etta James' classic I Just Want To Make Love To You.

Yes, Lucas, Snow, Rowe, Ian and the rest of the gang are back in the book we've all been waiting for - the wedding of the decade - minus a couple of hiccups on the way.

I also have to say the authors' note at the end of this #ARC made me ridiculously happy and completely brightened up my day.

So, onto Blaze, a title so appropriate for what lies between the pages that it really couldn't be more perfect. Andrei and Lucas tear up the sheets in this one and it's even hotter than their origin story! Nothing like the thought of a lifetime together to get the juices flowing and oh boy do they.

The opening to this book is bloody genius and had me almost snorting my cup of tea, so thanks for that ladies :) The pace only continues as we dive back into the dreadful childhood that Lucas and Snow left behind when they signed up for the Army and got out of their home town.

Great plotting once again drives the suspense element of this book as it examines the dodgy practices that can come along with a company's desire for profit over all else.

I won't go into details as it works best when the narrative slowly reveals itself throughout as things aren't what they seem when the book first starts.

This series, and its accompanying spin off Ward Security, is absolutely in my top five favourite reads of any genre.

The world these two authors have crafted is as real to me as the one outside my front door (although mine's sadly lacking as many hot men ;) ) and I have loved journeying in it.

So you can imagine my delight with this unexpected gift of a love story - and a side order of kick ass-ery - which pulls together all the elements which have made them my favourites.

Family, friendship, loyalty, brotherhood, courage, honesty, acceptance, justice, sacrifice, humour and, of course, love (and the hot sex), are all found in the hearts of the four men at the centre of this world and this book holds that tradition high.

Read it and try not to tear up at the end as "Forever" really does hold true.

I don't usually like reading follow up books about a couple who already reached their HEA in a previous book. But I just adored seeing all these tough, alpha men again. They have the biggest hearts! Their friendship and love for each other is nothing short of amazing. At this point I think I'd kill to see Lucas and Andrei with a child of their own.

So, you know, we needed this right? I mean come one! How dare this happen off page to begin with? OMG!

Ok.

Needing this didn’t make me any less nervous.

When I first caught wind this was happening my feelings were all over the place. It’s sometimes very disconcerting to have a series end and then all of a sudden there is a new book. I mean, I loved this series but I am not totally loving the spin-off (do not even get me started about the bit at the end regarding the next Ward book – do not, ugh!) and I wasn’t sure if this would take us back to what I loved or be more like the new. The timing issue did not help either. I am not a fan of going back in time or reading out of order. So, being unsure of where this book was going to go, how it would be and all that, yeah, nervous.

What a relief to have all my fears quickly squashed. This read exactly like the series I love. Everything I love about this series was present in this book. It just took all the good, all the fun and all the love and gave us an awesome addition to a series I thought was finished and am now pleasantly surprised to find that it isn’t.

I think no matter what Andrei and Lucas will hold a special place in my heart. They were the first couple. They got me started with the series. Seeing their love come to this point, to this new start to their life together forever was so welcome and so freaking romantic. Misty eyes and all, so freaking sweet.

And getting there? Well, that was a ton of fun.

I love how this book that I thought was going to be about them getting married was mostly not. I loved that this was as exciting as the others. And as dangerous. I of course love the romance in these books but man oh man, I really love the excitement!

Well done and really, it couldn’t have been done any other way right?

So, Unbreakable fans, as far as I am concerned, you will not be disappointed, at all, with this installment.

4.5 Stars!!! 😍💞💞💞 Loved It!! Lucas and Andrei are one of my favorite couples and it was awesome to see them getting ready to tie the knot. 😍
Of course in their action packed life nothing can go without a hitch, and so Lucas's estranged sister appears just weeks before the wedding asking for help. Although he's vowed to stay away from the harsh memories and people from his hometown, Lucas is forced to go back to help his sister and niece. Snow, despite suffering from similar childhood memories goes along with Lucas to offer support. Obviously where these two go trouble follows and then follow the trouble makers; namely Rowe, Noah and Andrei; who cannot stay away from the thrill and action.😉
But are they able to save Lucas's niece? What risks are they willing to take to protect them? Will they survive these blasts from the past😱 (both literally and figuratively) and make it to the wedding in time? 😬
l don't think that this can be read as a standalone. Highly recommended 👍👍to all Unbreakable Bond fans ... Especially the last couple of chapters are so worth it after enduring the upheavals that Lucas and Andrei went through over the last 2years. 😍💞

Hot damn it's great to be back with this crew!!

In this fifth installment to the series, we find Lucas and Andrei a couple of weeks away from their wedding day. The book starts off with a bang....literally...a hot, bent over the counter, bang in the kitchen!

But happiness is short lived when Lucas's sister shows up in town asking for help with her daughter. It seems she's found herself on the radar of some shady businessmen who practice a little illegal dumping in their spare time.

And from there, Snow and Lucas find themselves traveling back to the one place they said they'd never return to.

Catching up with the gang was fantastic! They're all as lovable, hilarious and at times surly as ever.

The suspense plot didn't really grab me and left me kind of

but I don't pick these books up for the suspense. I pick it up for the amazing family these men have created. The deep friendship, the humor, the protectiveness, and the unconditional love between these men.

And Andrei and Lucas deliver in spades. I love seeing how far these two have come since the first book.

You'll get a little bit of everything here...action, suspense, humor, heart, steam...and so much swoon.

"Need isn't enough of a word for what I feel. Do you know, I wake every morning, remember where I am and who I love, and the joy that fills me is the brightest thing I've ever felt? That moment when I remember what I have - it's the best moment of my day."

And in the best news ever!!! The authors announce that there's going to be another book for Snow and Jude coming this winter!!!

I'm not sure what it's going to be about, but this trip to Oklahoma wasn't easy for Snow and I'm wondering if some of his old insecurities are creeping back in. But you know what? Doesn't even matter because whatever the book is about, I'm gonna read the crap out of it!!!

Jude can handle his General.

Simply a really enjoyable visit with Lucas, Snow, Rowe and Ian.

These 4 core friends are settled and happy after going through so much, and it was just so great to see them all thriving.

Throw in a “minor” familial crisis, a trip to a past they never wanted to do, and Lucas and Snow soon find themselves in the middle of a deadly scandal. What works for this series and its spinoff is the found family vibes and the core group of men who never ever let their friends face danger alone.

This was sexy and fun with high stakes and plenty of feels, all topped off with a beautiful wedding!

Drake and Elliot writing the Unbreakable Bonds series are a powerhouse combination.

I absolutely loved so much about this story, from the multiple POV (Lucas, Andrei, and Snow), to the action, the sexiness and the romance...not going to lie, this one made me melt a little. Blaze is definitely going on my favorites shelf.

The cherry on top of this wickedly good confection is that now we have confirmation of more in the Unbreakable Bonds series to come!

Haven't started the series yet? What are you waiting for?

Another great installment in this addictive series! I really liked the mystery here. It wasn’t as far fetched as the one in the first four books — even if Lucas’ niece was some kind of teen genius — making it that much more enjoyable for me. And the hilarious code names made a reappearance. 😂 Never a dull moment with these guys.

Lucas and Andrei tying the knot was so damn romantic! 😍 They are so good together… And Lucas giving up control in bed gets me hot af. 🔥

What I appreciated the most about this one, though, was the healthy dose of Lucas/Snow friendship. I’ve come to love all the guys, but there’s a special bond between these two, and I missed them having a simple heart-to-heart. But now I’m worried about what going back to that horrible town did to my poor Snow… 😢

"And then his hands shot out and roughly cupped either side of Andrei’s face, fingers sliding through silken black hair. He pulled Andrei forward for a rough kiss. Another second couldn’t pass without him touching him, holding him, reaching out and making him his."

Lucas and Andrei's wedding is here.

description

I was SO bummed when we didn't get to see their wedding on page. SOOO disappointed. These two are my favorite couple from both series', of them all, so to read the third book of Ward Security and read that they were already married? With nothing about the wedding on page? I was sooo sad about it!

I was like "WHAT! Not even from another character's POV, even?"

But now its here. Not only their wedding - the LONG awaited wedding - but an actual story too, that gives us a little more insight into Lucas and Snow's upbringings and why they ran away.

But also, we and Lucas get to meet a member of his family that isn't horrible, and her daughter, and Lucas gains a couple more family members to join his made family.

In true Unbreakable series fashion with the full length novels, something fishy has to be going down, and Lucas and Andrei can't have an easy, smooth ride leading up to their big day. No, shit has to go down. It's fun and exciting, although probably not completely necessary, but it brings about Lucas regaining a connection with his sister who he hasn't seen in 21 years, and his niece, who he hadn't known existed prior to the events of these books.

But his niece looks a lot like him, and she's got elements of his spitfire personality as well, and he can't help but come to lover her and care for her and want to protect her. So of course he can't leave his old hometown until the threat is dealt with.

I appreciated the plot of the story for Lucas's - and Andrei's and even Snow's - connection with his sister and his niece, the only part of his blood family who he can now still consider family. I appreciated the plot for letting us delve deeper into Lucas's (and Snow's) past and learn more about his childhood. Plus, it showed the tenacity of Lucas' niece and her fire.

It also brought about protective Andrei, and he is hottt. Also, more awesome, sweet sexy times between my fave couple, and the sweet romantic moments as well. I always want more, more, more with these two. They're amazing together and their love is amazing, and forever.

I'm so delighted these two chose to continue this series, and give us Lucas and Andrei's wedding at last. I was surprised at the end to learn that we're getting a book furthering Snow and Jude's story as well, but I can't wait for it.

Highly recommend if you've read the series and enjoyed Lucas and Andrei together. It's everything I could have wanted and more :D

***** These two amazing writers have scored again in the Unbreakable Bonds series.
* We open with tremendous, hot, orgasmic M/M, blissful, satisfying and deeply moving sex. Throughout the book there is more dreamy bedroom hotness, and their complete devotion is magnificent to behold.
Lucas learns he has a niece, and his sister needs help with her. Snow and Lucas fly to the rescue to their horrible hometown that hated them. Lucas...

Snow and Lucas, plus more of the Security team were military, and now run a huge, successful business. There is Rowe, Andrei, Jude, from the Marion series, Seth, Dominic, Noah, and more. Ian and Hollis are at home prepping for Lucas and Andrei's wedding. Andrei...

"This should be a quick trip"...famous last words... because the problems are bigger than anyone anticipated. Snow and Lucas are forced off the road, more security team shows up, and we have a dead body, a fire, another body, and new information coming in. Our guys here are insulted and offended many times, and both have to confront the hateful families of Lucas and Snow.

* A plan takes shape and the security team does what they do best, surround the bad guys with local cop, Carl, and after the fighting, duct tape, hilarious code names, and the horrific explosion, success is eventually found, with the bad guys caught breaking the EPA rules and Fracking infractions. with the authorities aid.

New plans are made, and then it's back home for the long awaited wedding of Andrei and Lucas. Their "family" that matters is present, and we see tender, touching, glorious and remarkable happiness. I loved Andrei's family, and how Lucas was welcomed.

If you have read SHIVER, then you've met Lucas and Andrei as they became involved in their beginning. Loved that book.

We get wild action, deeply raw, erotic, and exciting sexiness, as our men both bottom and top. This tale is priceless, and has everything we could want in a perfect story.

I highly recommend the authors, the writing, the story, and the fun characters.

4.5 stars rounded down to 4 because still no 1/2 stars here on GR and while this one was wonderful and I loved it, things didn't quite hit the 5 star over the moon category for me but it was close...really, really close.

And another awesome buddy read comes to an end...thanks for the fun times Anne, Christelle & Simone and Josy, we missed you but it was good to have you pop in and say hello! Hopefully you'll be able to join us for the next one because there will be a next one...Snow and Jude how can anyone not want more of these two, right? :)

Now that's more like it! I haven't been nearly as blown away by the spin off series, Ward Security, and was starting to worry a bit, but this book perfectly recaptured what I loved most.

Plenty of action, both in and out of the bedroom (or kitchen, whatever!), that wonderful bond between all these guys, and seeing Lucas reconnect with some of his family was great fun. My heart broke a bit for Snow, but I'm hoping for some more healing with the promised next book in this series.

For the first time in this series I had some minor issues regarding the story.

But this is just small stuff. Because when this series shines, it shines. And it never shines brighter than when (any) two characters have a heart to heart (Lucas and Snow!). Those are the moments that make this series.

Oh, and that wedding of course. That was everything one could wish for.
