Girth was a big guy, an ex Marine and doesn't like being reminded and questioned about his size. Being a member of the Rogue Rebels MC he is asked by his president to act as a bodyguard to Lila a goddaughter of Elwood's. The attraction of Lila and Girth is against club rules but they go against the club rules and continue to see each other. I really enjoyed the bonuses which I have and read before.

1.5 Gah!
I kept reading and reading. Then they had sex and then I read some more. They had sex again. And this is how this book went on, I honestly have no idea what happened (and the sex wasn't even the good kind).
Ok, so it started out pretty decent, the chick seemed interesting but after a few pages, she became a needy, selfish little brat.
Oh, and he wasn't much better. He acted like an ape with little to no brain most of the time. And yes, I love me some big, strong, alpha male but I hate it when they're all brawn and no brain.
And I get that the plot isn't that important in a romance, all you need is love, as they say. But really, here I have no idea what the plot is. I can probably sum it up in 1 sentence. Let's see:

Ugh
It had a promising start, but I couldn't continue reading for 2 reasons:
1. It was totally unfair and ridiculous that the main female was being treated as if she was crazy and irrational for not wanting to leave the house after almost getting shot. I think she was justified in her reaction. It wasn't just one person acting like she was nuts, either. It was several.
2. I had resigned myself to the fact the book was gonna suck once Girth says (to himself) that he knows how to please women and blah blah blah. Gross. I can't read that and then enjoy the eventual relationship. How hard is it to understand that sex talk, details, scenes, etc. between one main character and someone who is not the other main character does not belong? It's disgusting, unnecessary, detrimental to the relationship, and ruins the story. I don't want to begin to tell authors how to wrote, but it should be obvious not to put that garbage in a ROMANCE.

Girth is sent by his President to a sister club on a protection duty...needless to say he’s not happy, but he does it because he loyal and does as he’s told. He’s been instructed to be a bodyguard for Lila, the daughter to the president of this other club and also his president’s goddaughter. If he thought he was unhappy with this little arrangement it doesn’t even scratch the surface of how ticked she is. The back and forth between these two is hilarious and the writing is so vivid that you can almost see this huge man become putty is a tiny woman’s hand! “Girth” has Savannah Rylan’s signature style...quick, exciting and oh so sexy!

Girth is only supposed to protect Lila but sparks fly and things get steamy. What will happen when her father finds out. I really liked this MC read. The story is fast paced with loads of drama and suspense. I wasn’t a huge fan of Lila but overall the story is very entertaining. A good read.

This was a quick read just under 200 pages.
Lila is the daughter of the Leader of the Marked Skulls. Girth is a pledge with the Rouge Rebels MC. The leaders are friends from way back. Lewis asks the for a bodyguard for his baby girl so they send Girth.
Lila and Girth are attracted to one another right away. They have to hide their attraction from everyone including each other at times. But ultimately Love wins the war..... Speaking of war the Dark Legion are still after Marked Skulls they took a shot at Lila and a shot at Lewis now the book ends with the death of an MC member and the Marked Skulls are not happy.

So far I feel like this book has been written by a 15 year old, for example after they have sex Lila asks ‘do you hate me now?’ um really??? But there were parts I liked. The chemistry isn’t awful. There’s no real storyline though. Seems like some 15 year olds fantasy written on paper. Not sure if I’ll finish it.

Okay, so I went on to the 2nd on and this didn't end yet. There was no "she is okay", but in the second one they talked like she was all better.
So this started higher because I though the next would continue with the whole drama around Lila but they literally acted like her life was all back to normal and it was okay, that is was so long again (it was 48 hours before hand).
Lila is annoying AF, she literally cried the entire time if she wasn't getting it from girth, and she was a manipulative bitch to him. SPOILED BRAT, totally.
ALSO, THIS IS NOT AN MC BOOK! It is a book about guys to ride bikes and say they are an MC. Like seriously, Lila was the only girl around, and she new what was going on. If you aren't going to write a true MC book, just say my main character rides a motorcycle.
Now, I have to remember that this is an extremely short book, it only look about 3-4 hours to read it. So I guess she didn't give herself time to get into things.
Oh and the entire book takes place over 3 days, FYI, but they act like it was several weeks in the end.
ONE LAST THING THAT DROVE ME CRAZY THROUGH THE ENTIRE STORY!! They talked about how Girth was SO BIG and TALL and how petite Lila was, but not once while they were together did she make it seem like it. I'm sorry, if you are so tall and she is so short, you don't just lean forward and kiss. If you are going to write a book and put a huge emphasis on him being a giant and her being petite, think about that during the ENTIRE FUCKING BOOK!

Girth is a member of the Rogue Rebels MC and an ex Marine. He received his name due to his size and build and hates being asked questions about his size, but they always happen. He grew up with an alcoholic father and a drug addict mom, so family wasn't big for him, but found a brotherhood in the Marines. The club saved him after the Marines, he found a similar brotherhood and felt like home. Being called into see Elwood, his President, he is nervous and hopeful that he will get a promotion. But his assignment is to be a bodyguard for Elwood's goddaughter. He was pissed, but went to Florida to do his job. What he didn't expect to see is Lila in all her glory and his feelings and attraction towards her!!
Lila's mother passes young, so her father raised her. She worked in his auto body shop and worked on the cars, but loved to volunteer at the foster care center. But when her dad's MC (Marked Skulls) get into some shady dealings, Lila finds herself in danger. She doesn't want to leave her house and doesn't want a bodyguard, but when Girth shows up, she is drawn to him like never before and it scares her. But can they break the MC rules and be together? What will her father say?
Great start to the series. I can't wait for more. The level of attraction between Lila and Girth is hot and intense. Can they have their HEA? Or will life have different plans? I can't wait for the story to continue into the next book. I received an ARC of this book from the author.

This was pretty meh. It didn't leave me with many strong feelings or opinions. I neither hated it nor loved it.
I liked the concept of pres' daughter with an out-of-club bodyguard, it was a nice twist on the usual MC romances. Shame that I found Lila almost unreadable because of how annoying she was. She spent the whole book complaining about never getting her own way (all the while she is exclusively being given her own way, and has done her whole life). And when she's not complaining, she's screaming or crying. Seriously, her actions resembled that of a child rather than the adult she was constantly claiming to be (funnily enough, claiming to be adult/grown-up is usually something children do)
I did like Girth, nothing outstanding but he didn't irk me. I wish we had learnt his real name because hearing him called Girth constantly was a little odd.

This is story about the Marked Skills MC and the captain, Lewis and his daughter, Lila who is in the crosshairs of trouble. Lila is an independent woman who works in the body shop her dad owns and helps out with the kids center in town. One day shots are fired at her during the day from a rival MC. Lewis knows he needs help protecting Lila so he asked an old friend from another MC from his past to send help. Girth is a big man who is all business comes and takes over protecting Lila against her wishes. Things are tense with them even after they find they can not keep their hands off one another. The way Girth feels is something he never felt before and Lila is diffently off limits per the rules! The connection between them is one full of true love! Will Lila’s strong willed was cause trouble and will Girth be able to remove his feelings for Lila to keep her safe? What will Lewis do once her finds out that Girth went against the rules? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

If you have read Savannah’s books before then you know to expect lots of bad boy bikers and the ladies that steal their hearts!
When Girth is summoned by his president to help out a friend at another MC, he knows he cannot refuse the task. What he did not expect was to meet the beautiful Lila who is completely out of his league as well as off limits to him.
Lila is the daughter of the Marked Skulls president and she has become a target in a feud that the MC was not expecting. After a near-death experience, she is too scared to leave her house until a handsome stranger comes to her door to be her bodyguard.
Can they resist the attraction or will they land themselves in more trouble than expected?
Awesome book and I cannot wait for Rodeos story.

Girth was a pretty good read. There was like 5 or 6 extra books at the end that I didn’t even bother reading so that’s why I gave it 4 stars. It’s a pretty faced MC romance. But I enjoyed it.
Lila was definitely her own women. She didn’t want her ice to be dictated by anything her father and his MC were up to. She wanted to live a life completely separate and free of those restrictions. Enter Girth.
He was asked to be a bodyguard for Lila and instead he became her lover. From the first moment he saw her he wanted her body. And then slowly over the course of a few days he wanted everything about her to be his. Crazy thing though they love each other after just a few short days but Lila doesn’t even learn all that much about Girth. And that to me is just crazy but it is why it is a story.
Lila was definitely her own women. She didn’t want her ice to be dictated by anything her father and his MC were up to. She wanted to live a life completely separate and free of those restrictions. Enter Girth.

Just didn't like the writing style which is a shame cos she's got a ton of biker series too.
Firstly fmc brought up in a biker club surrounded by men but is a whiny bitchy princess, please!
Mmc - he just whines as much ffs.
The storyline is ploddy and decidedly meh. Its boring. I coukdnt even be bothered to read through the sex scene!
Plus in all the years I rode pillion on the back of hubbys bike I've never ever seen anyone ride holding on to the riders shoulders, it wouldn't do any good for grip when accelerating esp. Also he's supposed to be huge, she's supposed to be tiny, how the fuck she reach up comfortably to hold his shoulders? Totally bizarre riding position. You either hold onto their waist, the pillion strap on the seat or like I did, the pillion bar at the back of the bike.
Sadly not for me.

I picked this book at random and it is pretty awful in a generic 'biker' book way. Change a few names and it could be any one of 100 books, each one no better than the last.
Man meets woman, Instalust.
Lila is a spoiled brat, daughter of the Marked Skulls MC. Someone has taken a shot at her and 'Girth' is brought in from the Rogue Rebels MC to protect her 24/7.
'Girth' is a giant - it seems strange that he would be given a nickname relating to his measurement around the middle.
Of one thing you can be sure, Lila will cross her arms over her breasts on a regular basis - the first time it was mentioned I hardly noticed, just 31 pages in it has become such a regular occurrence that it is becoming annoying.
She also screams, shouts, shrills, shrieks, etc. at the drop of a hat.
I made it 55 pages in before deciding that life is too short to be reading tripe like this.

Very good contemporary motorcycle (MC) romance. Girth is a big guy and former Marine. He went into the military to get away from his parents and to save his younger brother. The president of his MC sends Girth to help out another smaller MC. Girth finds out his new position is to act as a bodyguard for the Prez's daughter. Lila knows what her dad's MC is into but after being shot at she doesn't feel safe. She and Girth has an immediate reaction to each other but the situation is dangerous. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. This story has a HFN. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Rylan.

This is the first book I read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I thought Girth was a really great character who really fought his feelings for Lila because he knew it went against policy in his world. Lila was a strong character and knew what she wanted and even with people after her she managed to land her man.
I hesitated to read some of this authors other books because after reading reviews I don’t like books that have cheating in it but this book did not have any and I hope the books that come after this book for this series are also cheating free.
Can’t wait for the next in the series

While Savannah gives us another MC book with a hot alpha male but it took me a bit to like Lila. I enjoyed her initially but then after the hit she became annoying.
When Girth is sent to protect Lila their attraction is immediate and they literally can't keep their hands off each other. While Lila doesn't have a problem with this, Girth does because it goes against the rules of the MC.
I thought that Lila was the spoiled princess who thought that because she wanted it, it should be so and didn't understand what Girth was going through and didn't try to either.

The bodyguard
Lila was the head of the CMs daughter, only daughter, his princess. Lila had her dad and whole club wrapped around her finger, she was used to getting what she wanted.
She volunteered for a bunch of kids. She was crossing the street to go visit the kids when a motorcycle stopped in front of her, pulled a gun and fired. She hit the street, the bullet missed and the motorcycle took off.
The Marked Skills was a small club so the Prez called on another for help. They sent a bodyguard to protect Lila.
The rival club strikes many times.
This is a MC romance, not recommended for under 18. Hot, steamy sex scenes, violence, off color language.
Lila was the head of the CMs daughter, only daughter, his princess. Lila had her dad and whole club wrapped around her finger, she was used to getting what she wanted.
She volunteered for a bunch of kids. She was crossing the street to go visit the kids when a motorcycle stopped in front of her, pulled a gun and fired. She hit the street, the bullet missed and the motorcycle took off.
The Marked Skills was a small club so the Prez called on another for help. They sent a bodyguard to protect Lila.

Savannah what a great start to new Series. I absolutely loved this story about Girth and Lila. So Girth is the muscle for Rogue Rebels MC and Lila is Marked Sculls MC Princess. When something happen to Lila thats when Girth is sent by his club president who happens to be Lila godfather to protect her, they have instant attraction plus there chemistry if off the charts. Yikes
I'll start by saying, I didn't expect much because the premise of the book is pretty basic. I did, however, decide to listen to it on audible while I was working. The story itself wasn't bad, based on storyline. The writing though? That could use some work. Reading I would've read right through it because I read fast. Listening to it was cringeworthy. Repetitive words and thoughts, line after line, paragraph after paragraph, and page after page. Poor character development. It would be okay for a quick fix for heavy readers, but I think I will pass on this author.

Girth & Lila
Girth is the first book in the series, it was a good book and it seems as though the series has potential, so I’ll definitely read the next book too.
Lila’s life is in danger so Girth is sent to be her bodyguard. They have a instant attraction to each other and can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. For me, Lila came off as a spoiled screechy brat, and Girth had little to no self control. I definitely felt their insta-lust, however their insta-love was a bit of a stretch for me.

This is my first read by Savannah and I'm really impressed at this action-packed steam filled MC romance. It's definitely a 0-60 octane story, it will have you on the edge of your seat from the adrenaline pumped scenes. I loved Girth, his stubbornness about wanting to abide by the rules yet he can't help falling under Lylah's spell. Lylah never thought she would fall for a guy that was apart of her father's club but she can't help what she is feeling for Girth. Their story is quick, hot, danger filled, and I loved every minute.

While for the most part I did enjoy reading this little MC romance I was put off by how back and forth Girth was. He was supposed to be this big man with lots girth to his size, an former Marine, and now a big shot in his MC. Yet, he was far from Alpha.
Now, the last line in the book ruined it for me.... I couldn't stop thinking about that stupid movie my kids and grandkids watched watched about some kid when YouTube first started hitting big.....
