I got this book for free in exchange for an honest review For several reasons, it’s not the kind of work I usually read but I wanted to give it a try
I put ☆☆☆ because of all the hard & good research job done by Chelsi, her good style (her writing is easy flowing ) and the very numerous traits of humor spread all over the novel. (I smiled, chuckkled and even laughed more times than I can count. 😊 )
I confess that I liked the book (between other genres, I usually love military stories) and a lot of values conveyed in it BUT … there are also several things I didn’t like that much :
° I’ve noticed some typos (& a few other lil things) ==> they could be easily fixed with a lil work of re-reading / edition (maybe before a new release ?? => working with some beta readers is useful in such a case …)
° « The man had an ego the size of Texas. », « Chief’s insufferable stubbornness », etc .. ==> Greer is supposed to be a strong woman, and she is in many ways but she can also be very judgemental & disdainful, be a total jackass herself, be stubborn and be led by her ego/pride (humility is a value shared by true leaders , so, she has some hard work to do …) , the exact same things she reproaches to the others, mainly the men. It’s the pot calling the kettle black and all this got (often) on my nerves… ° God knows how deeply I love women ...) but on this one, the high feminist touch didn’t help my poor nerves either
° Some short in time actions are too much detailed compared to some others which are longer, it’s disturbing not having at least an idea of what’s happening in thoses long periods : my feeling is that it creates an unbalance in the narration.
° From my (foreign) POV the following things are a bit « too much » for me : - the use of the huge threats like ISIS & Boko Haram for background (some people could forget that this novel is a work of fiction …)
- the perpetual alliance of the Russians with the very bad guys, - the « cavalery » who arrives from nowhere else than the USA (“Americans hopefully fix this.” … ) - the back-up being composed by rooky Navy Seals who do a better job than plenty of seasonned field agents, - « Chief » being on a daily basis more than a total jerk, - the reason for all the mess which happened in Damascus (not credible for me BTW)
Don’t get me wrong, this book is worth the read nonetheless. So, I’ll let you grab your copy and judge by yourself if you enjoy (or not) your reading …
A pdf file of this was sent to me by Chelsi Arnold and I found her book on Booktasters. I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and how strong they were and I liked the friendship between them.
Really?? You really want me to buy this story?? Loved the first half - the training - but becomes so jingoistic I can only feel uncomfortable. But finished and it flowed for me.
I have just finished reading this book called "Brave" and I loved the characters in it. However, there are pages when I sincerely felt like giving it away but as I progressed I liked to read about her struggle in Military and how tough it was for her to be in touch with parents. I would recommend it to anyone who has keen interest in reading about hardships, real struggle and how much one can give away to pursue their passion. But there are genuinely some pages where I lost the track because I did find story was moving nowhere. Overall, an average read for me.
I wish more stories about our women warriors would be written! Thank you Chelsi for writing yours! I couldn’t stop reading & last night the only reason I stopped was my Kindle bopping my nose when I fell asleep!
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” -Abraham Lincoln
This excerpt from the beginning of Brave is a perfect way to describe the world you will be entering as you read this novel. Much like the world we live in now, there is terror invading our home soil, and unrest in the world. Forces such as ISIS are out to make a mark and their point known through violent and deadly attacks. This has brought to the forefront the need to protect all that the US holds dear. Especially, that of the freedom we so greatly praise as Americans.
“Hate has brought enough suffering to our country. Hate has taken the lives of innocent men, women, and children.” She took a deep breath, as if her words caused debilitating pain. “We cannot contribute to this hate. The violent acts must stop.” Her gaze drifted over the crowd before once again settling on me. “America will not enter World War III.”
Half relieved, half –frustrated sighs filled my ears. As if she knew people were grumbling, she paused before continuing, “However, after recent tragic events, the US needs a safety precaution... America needs to be ready.” Does she mean…? “The draft will be reinstated for all eligible men and women.”
When the president announces that the draft will be reinstated, Greer Connelly knows that she will be in the front of the line to protect the country she holds dear. Things are not easy for the female soldier and her fellow mates as well as herself, are faced with the task of trying to fit in among the men so to speak.
“I was tired. Tired of being angry. Tired of innocent people dying. And most of all, Tired of my country sitting back and refusing to act.”
When she finds ways to make it through her difficult and trying training she finds herself heading out on a top secret mission. During this mission she is faced with some difficult decisions that will affect the future for her immensely. Will she make be able to put a deeply rooted friendship with her best friend and other mates in jeopardy for the benefit of her country? Or will her decision be sure to destroy her future, if she has one left to return home to?
This is the first novel that I have read by Chelsi Arnold as well as the first book in The Sisterhood Series, I was really impressed with the way Chelsi was able to bring to life a situation that we are facing everyday as Americans now, and making it realistic for these women to be experiencing the situations they find themselves in. It was also really refreshing to read a military novel that focused on the women and the sacrifices that they make for our freedom. They are under the same pressures that men face protecting our country, but because they are women they so often are not given the credit that they deserve. I connected to this personally with a sister that is serving our NAVY during this unsettling time our country has found ourselves in the middle of. I was really excited that this was from their point of views and look forward to seeing more of the sisterhood in future novels from Chelsi Arnold in her Sisterhood Series.
“AMERICA, the land of the free and home of the brave. She is the country with privileges so many crave. But her freedom and liberties came with a price, Many of her valiant soldiers gave the ultimate sacrifice. Her past and present have started to collide, Repeated mistakes and her people are quick to divide. But during these times, there’s always a certain few who hear the call. To fight until the end, to make sure their country will never fall. These fearless patriots are a remarkable breed. They demonstrate strong morals and remain faithful to their creed. Possessed with a tenacious stance, One cannot help but notice their never-quit attitude with every glance. Courageous men and women have shed blood, sweat, and tears, Not for the recognition or glory, but so others can live peacefully, without any fears. America, the beautiful and the bold. She is the country where the patriotic spirit will forever hold. And even at her lowest times, the Stars and Stripes will continue to wave, Because of a heroic few, because of the brave.”
Brave is the first book in The Sisterhood Series by Chelsi Arnold and it is a military adventure novel set in the future. The story is about a 25 year old woman named Greer, who is drafted into the military in the year 2023, and she chooses to become a SEAL. It is the first time that the United States has drafted women into the military, and the draft has just been reinstated for the first time since the Vietnam War, to prepare the country for the chaos that is going on around the world due to World War III, which the US's Madam President Carlisle refuses to allow the country to officially get involved in yet. ISIS is attacking cities in the United States as well as around the world, and police departments around the country are being stretched very thin. Television sets are constantly showing news updates of the latest attacks, and Greer and her family watch with tears flowing down their cheeks. Greer's brother, Charles, is a member of the Dallas, Texas police force, and they are one of the police departments that is being stretched thin due to members enlisting in the military, and also due to casualties due to battles with the Black Lives Matter groups. Greer is outraged due to the state of the country and her feelings of frustration that the United States will not get involved in the war. She doesn't want her parents to stress over her being drafted into the military, and especially her trying to become a SEAL. Greer originally decides to become a SEAL because she loses a bet with another girl who is being drafted named Amerie, who she meets on the airplane when the women are on their way to enlistment. Amerie has two brothers who are SEALs, but after Greer learns from Amerie about the SEALs' history and also sees the pride and determination in Amerie as she talks about the SEALs, Greer decides that she really wants to be a SEAL, too. This story is about how a group of young women become sisters as they fight for what they believe is right.
I really enjoyed this book by Chelsi Arnold. I don't usually read military action/adventure stories but I was thoroughly entertained by the characters and all of the great details in this story. This author definitely did her research on the history of the Navy SEALs, and she dedicated the book to a number of these SEAL heroes. I will never think about them in the same way again. God bless them and all who are serving or have served our country so that we can live in freedom. I highly recommend this book.
Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) By: Chelsi Arnold 5 out of 5 stars
The story Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) by Chelsi Arnold is a new adult/coming of age book. It is a story that grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had finished reading the last page. It is the story of Greer Connally. She has become one of the first women draftees at a time when the United States finds itself a country divided from the inside and there is a growing tension from outside forces. Greer finds herself taking on the grueling and exhausting training that it takes to become one of the counties finest. Greer is a character that I loved reading about. She is a strong, independent, opinionated, and determined woman. She is someone that when things get tough she pushes through any doubts or physical/emotion discomfort she has. She has a sense of duty and learns the vital importance of teamwork. When Greer and her team are sent on a secret mission she finds herself with a decision that can have life-altering consequences. Will she defy a direct order when the lives of her teammates are in danger? I also enjoyed reading about the other characters in the story that become her teammates, those who train her, and those she works with in the field. This book had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next and how it was going to end. It takes on social issues and each one of the characters has their own opinion on them. There is also the intense pushback they receive because they are women. This is the first book in a series and the first book I have read by the author. It will not be the last. I look forward to reading the next story in the series.
"Embrace The Suck" is the theme of this unbelievable story. God, I don't even know where to begin with this review because I had such a guttural reaction while reading it. BRAVE is the first book in the new "Sisterhood Series". Back in the 80's I read Stephen King's THE STAND which was written pre-AIDS. As I was reading it, I thought he must have known something while writing it because the plague he wrote about was so much like the epidemic that was spreading while I was reading it. Well I got the same feeling reading BRAVE. The author does an amazing job of taking current events, at times twisting them just a little to the left or the right, and turning it into such a scary scenario about what may or may not happen in our very own future.
BRAVE is the story of some mighty awesome women who "Embrace the Suck" and join the military. They are the first female soldiers to be accepted into a particular program and we get to watch their training as well as their trials and tribulations. Such grueling training that it made me wonder how the author was able to write it with such detail. It is almost as if she, herself, had been through it.
This story is one that I absolutely recommend. It's about "sisterhood" and patriotism and division in a country. Hopefully, it is NOT a look into our future, but one of total fiction.
I will be adding the future editions of this series to my TBR.
Brave (Sisterhood Series Book 1) by Chelsi Arnold was an amazing read. It knocked the stuffing out of me on more than one occasion. From the first part with its in-depth description of the rigorous SEAL training, the main characters lightened up the subject matter with their wit and repartee. In a story set in the not too distant future, the US finally realises it needs to join in World War 3 against ISIS. 22 year old Greer Connally has been called up to fight for the US army following the first obligatory draft of all single females. On her flight out to the military base, she meets Amerie who will become her best friend. The two girls bond with other wannabe SEALS and form a tight group to carry them through training as people fall around them. But will they be able to put country before friendship when their secret mission hits a problem? This is an emotional and uplifting novel about friendship and loyalty to country. I really enjoyed it and didn’t want it to end. The characters were well written and developed. I could identify with them and I liked the way the author brought issues which are relevant today into the narrative and tried to show how they would still be rumbling on many years from now. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath, this book had it all. I really hope from the “book 1” part that book 2 is not far behind. Hooyah! A triumph of a novel.
Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) by Chelsi Arnold was an emotional, gut punch to the feels that had me engrossed from start to finish.
Being in the service myself, I tend to stray away from military books. More so because there are always inaccuracies, and usually movies and TV play a big role in such inaccuracies. (Don't believe what you see on TV) I have to say, even though there was some, little things that bother me, the core of this story and the overall turn out was impressive. I can tell real research was done, and I take that to heart.
This book is worth the read. It's powerful, relevant and there is a message in its pages that needs to be heard. I loved the MC Greer, I can relate to her, though I have never when through the intense and harsh training as her. I have gone through intense stress training, and I can tell you, outside of the physical, the mental is just as exhausting. Greer gritted her teeth and showed them all that she was not some pushover. Strong, doesn't begin to describe her.
There is so much I can say about this book, so much I can pick apart (in a good way) but I'm going to leave you here with my super high recommendation that you need this book in your life. I don't want to give away any of its power. You're just going to have to get this book, and experience it, feel it, without spoilers and with out help.
HOOYAH! What an awesome book by Chelsi Arnold! Brave is a story written in the year 2023 about a girl named Greer who gets drafted by the U.S. Government. Determined and not going down without a fight she meets a girl named Amerie, who she eventually loses a bet to, convinces her to join the Navy SEALS. Together they meet Emersyn who brings the same no nonsense attitude. Once they get to training Greer meets her roommate Dee. After a rounds of bickering and crap talking they learn to become sisters. What they went through during SEAL training is amazing and makes me think that I can do anything. Each girl comes with her own background and her own reasoning for being in the military and wanting to join the SEALS. It’s what they bring together that makes them indestructible and makes them a strong unit. This story is such a great way to bring women together and shows how much that a woman could do if they persevere and continue to have an incredible amount of determination. Now, I’m not a big fan of government and politics, especially in books but this book was definitely a page turner! You are constantly wondering what is going to happen next and if they in fact do push through the obstacle that they are facing. These women truly are BRAVE! This book is truly exciting and I’m really glad that I had read it! I look forward to reading more from this author!
I salute you! Brave (The Sisterhood Series book 1) Chelsi Arnold is the first book in this series and this is also my first time reading anything written by this author. This was a great introduction. The world is once again fighting each other, and America reinstates the draft, but not just for men. Women who are not married and childless are included in the draft. Greer is one of those women. Unlike a lot of the females drafted, she is ready to take on anything thrown her way. Along the way she meets Amerie who convinces her joining the Navy Seals in the only way to go. Soon their twosome becomes a foursome adding Dee and Emersyn. This story had me from the very beginning and held me to the very end. I really enjoyed all the strong female characters and even the male characters were awesome. This book had so many emotions, plus I liked how they used their humor to get through some tough times. It was action-packed and at times I felt myself holding my breath when they went on missions are had to complete something hard in training. I am a Navy brat and love all things military especially if it involves this branch of the service. Chelsi Arnold did an amazing job of writing this story and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
This is probably one of the most powerful and inspiring stories that I have ever read. I remember looking at the front cover and thinking I am in for something different here and I wasn’t wrong. This is the first book that I have read by this author and she has made a true impression on me. Her writing was faultless, the story flowed well, the characters were well thought out and developed and my interest was kept from beginning to end. I had such admiration for the characters in this series and how they stuck it out when probably many would have given up. They showed that the bond between teammates is so incredibly strong. The detail that the author put into this story was amazing, I really felt like I was there training with these women! It really helped me imagine everything that they went through. I think that this story really hit home with me because it is relevant to now, incorporates events that are happening in the world at the moment and something that I hope never ever happens. This really is a story that I cannot recommend enough and I absolutely will be reading anything else that comes out in this series. Brave certainly deserves the 5 stars I give it if not more!
Brave (The Sisterhood Series book 1) By Chelsi Arnold
What can I say but I am glad to have read this book. Its well worth the five-star rating I have given it. Brave is book one in Chelsi Arnolds The Sisterhood Series and I am looking forward to reading further into the series. For a change we have a book about women in the services and not it makes a lovely change. This book is written from the year 2023 when a young lady by the name of Greer gets drafted and must prove that she is as good as the men. Its also about a group of women must learn not only to be part of the team but learn what it is to be part of a sisterhood and have the other girl backs always. All the girls in the sisterhood come with their own background history but have one thing in common, and that’s to prove they are good at what they are training to be. When the Seals have been men orientated for a long time the girls have more to prove than they think, and I can tell you they aren’t going down without a fight, proving to the men they can do just as good. This book is written from a woman’s perspective which is great, and it shows us that if we really want to achieve something we can, if we put the time and effort into it. This book flowed so well and was written equally well.
I got this book for free in exchange for an honest review
OMG what can I say I loved this book so much being from the UK I don’t know why but it just spoke to me especially spoke to me because I realised what the special forces over seas go through to keep their and our countries safe.
I loved the main character Greer she had so much determination and dedication, which I thought, was amazing to especially when she was put down so many time and she was going through such difficult situations.
This is my first military read and honestly I loved it because it showed a different perspective of the military and also showed the things that women give up to allow others to be free.
I was hooked as soon as Geer got on the plane to her future in the SEAL’s. I felt so much emotion while reading this book. It was nice to see the strong bound that developed with the girls and even the guys where great characters. The humour was nice to see also among the characters.
I can not wait for the next instalment of this series I know that it will be just as strong and touching as this one.
I also bought a paperback version of this book because I loved it so much and plan on re reading it again in the near future ☺
Brave is the first book in The Sisterhood Series by Chelsi Arnold. This is a new adult coming of age book about a group of girls, who are the first women drafted into the armed forces. Because they are new, they are given a choice of what branch os serve they want to be in. These young women chose the SEALs and are not exactly welcomed with open arm. They must stick together in order to get through training and then conflict. The world that Ms. Arnold built has some very similar aspects to the what we are living now, only a bit more aggression. I see similarities in this book to a country divided by politics. It is an interesting story and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series. Greer is the heroine in this story along with the other female recruits. She is strong and independent, a born leader. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. There was humor and heartache, loyalty and betrayal, adds a strong sense of patriotism throughout. This book was a fast read, that couldn’t put down. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a great coming of age book.
Brave The sisterhood Series Book 1 By Chelsi Arnold ☆☆☆☆☆ Full length novel about the first women training to be drafted. Then the first woman to train to be Navy Seals.
Greer Connally is one of the first woman to be drafted. At the age of 22 she must prove she can do anything she puts her mind to. Learning teamwork and sticking with your sisters. Can be a challenge. One she is more then willing to learn. Then while we are at it, let's throw in the challenge, of being as good as the men in her troop. She must also find a way to work through the differences race, religion and sex lay in front of her. After all these women have been through. Let's add terrorist and protesters. Read to see if the women are as strong as we believe we are.
Chelsi Arnold has done her homework. This book really opened my eyes. I read things I didn't know existed. The struggle was real. The characters in this story really pulled at my heart. They are so strong and Brave. This book is well written and well worth the read. I am looking forward to book 2 in this series. Well done Chelsi Arnold! Well done!
I really loved the tone of this story ! I also loved the fact that it did not have a very sad ending of course Angelette's death really made me sad but still it's great that other girls remained alive !!!
Girls that didn't know each other turned out to be close friends with each other as close as sisters ,this was truly amazing! And i think the respected author Chelsi Arnold described very well how war destroys everything and how it takes away our loved ones from us !!
I especially loved Greer ,she had a strong character!and she and other Girls showed that girls could be as strong as men are , even stronger !! And they can defend and protect not only themselves but also their people !! And one last thing was the part Greer said " The world could learn so much from the heart of an innocent child " this is true as In my opinion adults are responsible for how scary and dangerous the world has gotten!! Sometimes it's better to learn from a child !!
This book deserves more than 5 stars !! Thanks Chelsi Arnold for writing such an emotional and amazing story which had a theme of female empowerment !!

Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) by Chelsi Arnold
This book starts out in a time of war and the draft is reinstated to include not just men but women as well. This story is a real eye opener, it deals with a lot of issues. As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked!! This book had emotion and action and is so well written. Those story is for everyone. I loved the characters in this story. The hard time the women had to endure was heartbreaking, but there are definitely some tough ones on this book. I don't want to give too much away because I think everyone needs to experience this story in their own way. I will tell you that I loved reading book, the author did an amazing job reeling you in and keeping a hold on you till the very end!! I cannot say enough good things about this very real and connectable story. I have never read anything like this and I am certainly glad that I did. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this series! I highly recommend this book, it is more than a story, it is an experience.
Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) by Chelsi Arnold is an action packed military thrill tide but instead of the typical alpha males that we typically see in books like this we are introduced to Greer Connally, one of the very first women to be selected from the draft. Entering the military at a time where the country has been split in two and outside forces are looking to take advantage, Greer is forced to push herself past her limits and learn to trust those she was drafted with. When she and her team are sent on a secret mission and given an order she isn’t sure she can follow she will have to make a choice with far reaching consequences. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the first page up until the very last word. The characters are all very well written. The plot is excellently written and the pace is break neck in some places, especially when the bullets start flying, and backs off at others to give us as readers a chance to catch our breath. I honestly wish I could give this amazing book a higher rating but I guess five stars will have to do.
Brave by Chelsi Arnold is an amazing book, one that should not be missed! If I could rate it more than a 5-star I certainly would. It’s the first book in Chelsi’s The Sisterhood series, and what a great start to a series it is! I completely devoured this book, from the very beginning I was hooked. Though I couldn’t relate to these characters I really connected with them. All of the amazing detail made this story seem so real, I could easily picture everything playing out in my mind.
Brave follows the story of a group of strong and fierce women, alongside men, who fight for our right to live. Their story is real, honest, sad, heart wrenching and so unbelievably eye opening. I loved being able to read from a women’s perspective as I could clearly feel their emotions as their worlds were forever changed. I loved how well this story flowed from being in training to being in action, everything was there! I would definitely recommend this book to others and I’m so looking forward to continuing this series with book two once released!
Brave (The Sisterhood Series Book 1) By Chelsi Arnold 5 Stars
Brave by Chelsi Arnold is the first installment of the The Sisterhood Series. It is a new adult/coming of age story, using current events with a twist to engage the reader from the beginning, until the end. This is the story of Greer Connally, she is one of the first women drafted into the Armed Forces as a Seal. During a grueling training, she learns that women within the Armed Forces must stick together like sisters. Greer is a strong, independent and determined woman that will handle any challenge thrown at her. Greer and her team are sent on a secret mission which will put her in a position to make a decision that may alter her life and her team. This is my first read by Chelsi Arnold and I must say that this story blew me away. I normally don’t read military/coming of age stories but Chelsi wrote a seamless and well told story at a time when our country is currently in a political divide, as in the story. This story scream women empowerment and I highly recommend it.
In a divided America, there is still one thing we can all agree on: Things must change! Using current topics in the news, Ms. Arnold carries us into the future and into a more than realistic aftermath of those events. Clearly, actions have consequences.
A divided nation, the reinstatement of the draft which—for the first time—includes women, and wide-spread troubles across the globe are all settings for this thought-provoking debut novel.
Brave takes a hard look at an America no one wants to see, but also one we may be heading towards us at full steam. No matter your age, race, personal or political beliefs, this book is for you. You will not be disappointed. You just need to be brave enough to read it.
Brave written by Chelsi Arnold is book one in The Sisterhood Series. This is Greer’s story about her life after making the choice to enlist, then she gets drafted as one of the first women groups. No pressure right. This story is full of strong females (and male) leads along with grueling situations. Greer is constantly being put to the test because she’s a female. Brave is full of so many things you cant help but love the story and get pulled in. Brave hits a fees topics that make you wonder about various scenarios and the writing is so well done that you almost wonder how they survived, and you feel bad for the women who had to go through such trials in real life, and the women who still go through them. I am looking forward to book 2.
Military based Reads are not on the top of my list, but I typically read anything when highly recommended. When it comes to books, I don't really have a type. I am glad that I picked up Brave by Chelsi Arnold, although my experience with military reads is limited this is certainly unlike any of the others I have read. Although set in the future, during World War III the story line is plausible and realistic. I also love that it is based on women in the military. I couldn't put it down and not once did I have to force myself to pick it up to continue reading, I actually couldn't wait until the next time I got to pick it up. I highly recommend this book no matter what genre you like to read deserving of 5 stars!
Chelsi Arnold did an amazing job of portraying females in the Military. She has complex characters which makes the story enjoyable. The story has a great direction and what is more interesting is this could be a reality before we know it. The draft was reinstated, and this time is also taking women in the draft. Greer was with the first women who were drafted. Quickly Greer and the other women were how to work as a team. The only way to get through the training and later the trials of being in the military is to keep that teamwork going. When a mission has been given will it be followed or failed? Greer needs to make some decisions that she will be able to look back and not be haunted.
"When we first met, we were strangers. Now, I couldn't imagine my life without them." The characters were so well developed, I found myself rooting for them as a group and as individuals. The author pulls you in from the very first pages, so no need to wait for it to get better. It keeps getting better until you are so captivated, around page 28, you just have to keep turning the page even if it is 2AM. I appreciated the author confronting sensitive political/personal issues that have gripped our nation for a very long time and not sugar-coating the topics. This book was very inspiring physically and mentally. I don't usually re-read books, but this one I will! BRAVO for BRAVE!
Brave ( Chelsi Arnold) is the first book of the series named "The Sisterhood Series". So not noy going too long I come to point, this book is about three women who goes to training in military. It is future based story ( nearly 2023). I don't want to spoil everything by telling the whole plot and description of the story [If you want to read, then you can read separately]. I never felt little bored even in on chapter of the book. There are very accurate numbers of twists, emotions. When it comes to which character I like the most, it will be Amerie. May be my description is not big but without any doubt ***A MUST READ BOOK***. You can read my full review on my blog ( chatwidbookworm.wordpress.com )

I enjoyed this book to the end. I have not read a female military story before but I found it to be just as action filled as any other military book I have read. I loved how the characters were females and how strong, determined they were. They took me on a few twists and turns that left me not wanting to put the book down. What happens when these women are drafted and sent to fight for their country. This is my first book with this author, she pulled me right in, highly suggest reading this book.
