My first story by Robert Liparulo. Very different. Fantasy but not overly so. In the story there were immortals, as human as you or me. Not angels and not demons, although some had a much more wicked side to them.

There was clearly a faith theme running through the story, and perhaps some symbolism if I thought about it long enough.

There were definite edge-of-your-seat moments throughout and I enjoyed this author's writing. I will definitely consider reading another book by Mr. Liparulo.
