Together They Fall With both Scott and Layla West behind bars, it's now up to Bugsy and Lucky to run the family businesses. Lucky quickly steps into Layla's shoes, but being second-in-command to an absentee boss has her feeling unsatisfied. She wants to sit at the helm of the organization with or without her mother's blessing. Bugsy, who has always emulated Scott, takes his Mafioso impression too far and does the unthinkable. This one infraction may cost him his life. Scott and Layla, betrayed by their children, are not the forgiving type. With mother pitted against daughter and father against son, there may be more West funerals to attend.
Nisa Santiago came bursting onto the literary scene in 2009 with her debut title, Cartier Cartel. The book garnered rave reviews and left her readers wanting more. She followed up with the sequel, Return of the Cartier Cartel – which turned into a national bestseller. The Library Journal declared that Santiago’s sequel, [Return of the Cartier Cartel] “Will keep readers hooked to the last chapter.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, and now living in Harlem, the author is moving at full speed with her writing endeavors. Coined the Duchess of Hop-Hip lit, Santiago humbly admits, “I’m just grateful to be doing what I love as a career and not just a hobby.”
Her latest novel, Bad Apple – The Baddest Chick is slated for an October 2011 release date. The author emphatically states that her decision to start a new series instead of penning part 3 to Cartier Cartel was a brave one. “My readers love Cartier and they wanted more.” Santiago wants her readers to know that she has so many stories to tell and shows no signs of slowing down. Dirty Money Honey is an anthology with her peers, Erica Hilton and Kim K., Melodrama Publishing’s new trinity of authors.
I finished book 4 and learned there is a book 5. 4 made me not like Layla at all, she's just ratchet and Lucky is following in her footsteps. The thing I don't like about Layla the most is her position/status when straight to her head but when anyone even her children did to her what they saw her do she wanted to kill them. I just her to get her karma. Lucky is right behind her. She got pregnant by the competition who doesn't believe in mixing breeds or women in the game. She lied and told him she would abort the child but kept it instead, Now he's out to kill her and the baby. What tangled webs we weave. Now, Maxine and Bugsy was doing to darn much how did they think it was okay to mess around and she got pregnant by Bugsy, Scotts son. Now was just too much and too ghetto for me. Now Scott and Layla are plotting to kill Lucky, Bugsy, and Maxine. I don't think it's going to turn out like they think but we will see.

LIKE WITH THE OTHER THREE BOOKS IN THE SERIES I FELT THAT THIS INSTALLMENT IS MOVIE WORTHY! THOUGH I DO NOT HAVE A FAVORITE CHARACTER IN THE BOOK SERIES I JUST LIKE TO USE MY IMAGINATION TO SEE WHERE THE CHARACTERS WILL GO AFTER THEY MANUEVER OUT OF CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES & WHO WILL BE THE ONE(S) LEFT STANDING! I'LL ADMIT, THIS ONE WASN'T MY FAV IN THE SERIES, BUT I ENJOYED READING A FEW YEARS BACK. WITH THIS SERIES, JUST LIKE WITH K'WAN'S ANIMAL SERIES OR NE NE CAPRI'S THE P*SSY TRAP SERIES, I BARELY COULD GET ANYTHING ELSE DONE BECAUSE I IMMERSED MYSELF IN THE STORYLINES SO MUCH. I WAS AN ADMIRER OF NISA SANTIAGO'S PREVIOUS BOOK SERIES BUT I THINK THIS SERIES TOPS THOSE OF HER PREVIOUS WORK. HOWEVER, THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION; I SPEAK FOR NO ONE ELSE BUT MYSELF.
Ok ok let me explain this rating, I believe that Nisa Santiago is an excellent writer so much so, I have to go back to the 1st Mafioso book and read up to this one and on to part 5. My 3 star ⭐ rating is due to the lack of positive characters. Everyone is an antagonist it was very disturbing to say the least.
Secondly I felt dirty reading this book. The same grimy feeling from reading Jerome Dickeys books. The sex scenes were too much for me but deep down inside I was intrigued LOL. Other than all of this I am a stubborn fan of hers and maybe reading more will break my spirit and turn me into a shameless fan. Enjoy this at your own risk folks, it comes with a guilty conscious
Omg this book was off the hook. It was so much betrayal in this book. Parents against kids and thing that was so crazy is why all for the power and glory that you not going to get because the ones you turn your back on always come back bigger and stronger that’s what you call karma. I love this book best one yet out of this series. I can’t wait for the next installment to this book. Great job Nisa Santiago great job.
Wow, this series is CRAZY! I read part one and then had to skip to part four since neither two or three were available in the library. I thought four was the end! But no, it keeps going. I am interested enough to go back and read them all and finish five. What a story. I still do not think anything beats her Apple/twins series, though. I am still waiting for someone to make that one into a series or movie.
I had to rush out and get this from the library. But now, I am stuck wondering what happens next. Bugsy is the only one left that I remotely care about. I would definitely want him to land on top when the dust settles. Maxine got annoying fast. Layla... The character is horrible. So is Scott. So is Lucky. 3.5 stars
The first 3 books were wonderful. This book was ok. I didn’t see this ending coming like this. Not looking forward to book 5. Layla is a really sick and self centered woman. On scale of 1 - 10. I give it a 5. 5 being I just finished it so say I read the series.
Mannnn, I was not ready for Maxine and Busgy, lmao, Scott and Layla are going to kill the rest of their kids...omgggg. I was on edge throughout the whole book. Tarasha and Wacka got exactly what they deserved...greedy asses.
