UnBearably Good Box Set!

Here's my reviews for each book in this boxset. This is a great collection of bear shifter short stories.

Bearly Deniable- Bearly Deniable is another great short story by Amelia Wilson. It's a quick read (actually read it while waiting for my brother to finish physical therapy) and is a great opening story to the series. Sylvia goes to Alaska to clean out and sell the cabin her aunt left her upon her death. Expecting an old beat-up jeep and small run-down cabin, Sylvia is pleasantly surprised to find a new Jeep and a mansion of a cabin. Her first night in town she meets Ryan the local bartender/owner and he instantly recognizes a mate for his bear. Ryan gets himself invited to help Sylvia hoping to get to know her better and maybe win her over. When Sylvia finds out he's a bear shifter she doesn't respond well but thanks to advice from her mother Ryan and Sylvia get their HEA!

Hunting for Love- This was a bit different from other Amelia Wilson stories. While the first book in the series was packed full of action, this story was more emotional. Lucy is a bear shifter who is fighting her inner bear. She's afraid she'll turn out like her parents. This is causing all sorts of problems in her life. Then she meets Jon. Another bear shifter, he's in town to get away from life for a while after a breakup. He immediately realizes Lucy could be his mate, but first he has to find a way to help her. Lots of emotion in this story while Jon and Lucy work together to help Lucy and her bear. In the end, their love will make for a solid relationship and give Lucy a chance to discover a life she has always dreamed of.

The Soul of a Bear- This book is the perfect companion to the second book. Just knew that Paul would get his own story and was so delighted with this one. Paul is the human best friend of a bear shifter and in the wake of his friend finding his mate, he finds himself at a bit of loose ends and unsatisfied with his life. McKayla is a bear shifter that is determined not to settle on any mate that is compatible but to hold out for her true mate so she doesn't suffer the heartache her mother did. This book explains a bit more about the mating habits of bear shifters. Again, not so much about the action but an emotional story about finding love. There is a pretty funny scene when the two meet in the beginning and the ending will warm your heart!

Bearly Deniable
It's a light, fun read. I wasn't hit over the head with any Great Universal Truths and it kept me interested to the end of the title work. (I've already read several of the bonus books that are included with this one so, for this read, I've skipped over the bonus material.) Sylvia seems like most successfully overworked young professionals in that she has a life she doesn't have time to live. Ryan was definitely my favorite character in the book. He's sweet and charming and completely terrified to reveal himself to Sylvia, which makes me love him all the more. The ending felt a little abrupt and like there was still part of the story left to tell. I've very interested to see what happens next in this series.
Hunting For Love
There’s definitely more emotional drama going on in this book compared to the first one. With Lucy fighting so hard not to be a shifter at all, the story can’t help but be more dramatic. And when her bear won’t take “no” for an answer any longer, they just might have a mess on their hands. I thought Jon was a perfect partner for Lucy. He’s sweet and kind and steady – qualities that Lucy really doesn’t display. I also really like that Ryan and Sylvia make some cameo appearances in here. It helps to make it feel like a continuation of the first book. But, like that first book, the ending felt a little abrupt and like there was important parts of the story left to tell. I'm very interested to see what happens next in this series.
The Soul of a Bear
I’m so glad to come back to this group of shifters. I was starting to miss them. Paul was an interesting secondary character in the last book, so I really liked having the chance to get to know him better. McKayla gives us an opportunity to learn even more about bear shifters and how their mating bonds work, or don’t. I have to admit, I didn’t think we’d get the ending that happens here, but I was personally hoping that it was what would happen. Like the previous books, the ending felt a little abrupt and like there were important parts of the story left to tell. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

It was a good Read!

I liked reading Unbearable Romance Series: Complete Shifter Romance Series. So this is a box set with three books included, all wrapped around a small town in Alaska named Ridgeville. Book 1 is Bearly Deniable all about Sylvia Redding a twenty-two year old from Maine & Ryan the owner of a pub and a bear shifter. Sylvia has flow to Alaska to claim a cabin left to her by her late Aunt. The author wrote a story about a young women who needs a break from her crazy accounting job. Read about Sylvia & Ryan and see if finding out she is mated to a bear shifter improves her life! Book 2 is Hunting For Love all about Lucy a young bear shifter who is nineteen and has never shifted & Jon a Mausee from California who is a bear shifter. Jon has rented Sylvias cabin with six friends for an extended vacation of four weeks. The author wrote a story about Jon, who is trying to forget his ex, when he meets his mate. Read about Jon & Lucy and see if he can help her come to terms with shifting, and the angsts of being a teenager in the sifter world. Book 3 is The Soul of a Bear, all about McKayla a bear shifter in her twenties & Paul is a human Commercial Designer. Paul is arrested after beating his drug addicted dead-beat brother for selling all his possessions while he was in Alaska on vacation. While in jail he meets McKayla, his mate, she’s beyond excited to have finally met her mate! The author wrote a story about a women who thought she would never find her mate! Read about Paul & McKayla and see what the future holds fo them. I was very excited to read this box set but was very disappointed in how the stories played out. Each one left me wondering, okay what happens now and there was no conclusion. Each story starts off great, but just ends, it’s odd, I needed more info to be satisfied with the story!

I read these three books as individuals but would recommend the box set to shifter lovers everywhere. You won’t want to put the book down once you start reading. Each book can be read as a standalone but by reading them in order, you get to follow some of the previous characters and see how they are faring. All three books have great storylines with realistic characters that you can relate to. There are some twists and turns along the way and you won’t see the end coming in the third book.

Good trip of stories, following bear shifters who meet their mates.

Story line is solid, characters are solid, with nice descriptions. However, there were multiple missing words, incomplete sentences, and incorrect word choices that interrupted the stories, needs a good proofreader to go over the series and fix the errors. This could be a five star set with the corrections in place.

The three books of the “bear” romances were ok. All ended HFN. We get a little glimpse of each couple in consecutive story, but not enough to give the a HEA. Grammatical and editing error distracted from the flow. Those three stories end at the 15% mark and additional non related series/stories make up the rest. I am getting tired of this tactic.

Great books

Loved each book in this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. Once you start these you wont want to put them down. Amelia Wilson is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints.

Bear Mates

I chose a rating of 5 because it kept my attention, good follow-through of subject matter, and able to follow text from one book to another as characters flow through each book.

The people who should read this are those who like light shifter books with HEA endings.

1. Good 👍 interesting story. 2. Felt sorry for the female lead. 3. Really 👍 great story, with the
Female lead having a strong character and the male lead not being a Casper milktoast. They made a great 👍 paring. 😕

Not bad

This series wasn't to bad. I like shifter stories so it wasn't hard to follow along. At least nothing changed from other shifter stories. Thank you I enjoyed reading these stories.
