Hard to get into this one…
The author was doing a little too much to keep you reading. One-page Loyalty is all talk then she’s in a trunk, Lourde is this big tough guy but whining to his dad about taking over something he felt was automatically his. The entire read he seems to have no brain for himself and following along just to be handed something. The ending didn’t help because the whole story we get that something is off with him and his father, I’m guessing we’re going to find out that his best friend is really his brother but with his father being in the situation he’s in it won’t even matter. This was okay but needs more work with the story.

Wow... Got me over here like WHAT... This book was so good... The build up of this storyline was so good... I could not put this book down... I was not sure what direction this book was going to take me... Let's just say that I did not expect this... Man the twist and turns, secrets and lies... They just keep coming... Then this cliffhanger... Ugh why oh why...
So we have Loyalty... She is in a tough situation... All she wanted to do was escape and live her life... But it does not look like that is going to happen... Just when she thought it was all over for her... She crosses paths with Lourde...
Lourde is the man.. Well the right hand to his father and their many business... Not only that but Lourde is that man that all women want and many men want to take out... Lourde does not know how to be in a relationship and no woman has ever came close to even making him consider even being in a relationship... Not even his sister Neenah's best friend Chanel... Lets just say that Chanel did place an idea in his head when his father made him and his sister signs some papers that pretty much snatched everything worked so hard for right from under him... Little did she know that the little idea she planted in his head... She was not a part of the plan... There was someone else... Someone that would change Lourdes world and his way of thinking forever...
Neenah is engaged to O'shea... He just feels a little suspect to me... So I am not really sure about him... Little by little I see what he is about.. I am not to happy with him right now... Especially when Neenah already has a hard time dealing with herself and has such low self esteem... She is sneaking around doing things... And now so is he... No only that but Her best friend Chanel is no good either... Neenah thinks that this is her best friend... Well like the saying goes... With friends like this who needs enemies...

Then I was mad because there was no more pages left to read... Ugh... I hate that I have to wait for part 2... I need to know how Lourde is going to deal with this big bomb that was just dropped... Like my mouth is wide open... Now it is making sense to me some of the things that he had to deal with... And with Loyalty... What just happened... Oh man... Why oh why do I have to wait for part 2...

WHEW!!!!!! The MESS!!!!! Listen y’all this book was really good and I mean in the messiest kind of way if you like messy. It starts off with Loyalty getting knocked around by her sorry behind boyfriend, to him throwing her in the trunk, to him getting caught by the man he was stealing money from, to said man ending his life after he asked Loyalty what did she think he should do. Chyyyyyyyy!!! And then go….. Loyalty, I thought when Lourde let you go you were going to be able to take the money and have a fresh new start. But lo and behold the universe ain’t done with you. Lourde saved you twice in 1 night and then offered you something you couldn’t refuse but knowing no matter what he did, does, or becomes he will never get the title and position he so desperately deserves. Y’all started off as an arrangement but y’all standing 10 toes behind and down for each other and y’all both need that because with all the secrets, snakes, plots, lies, and more. Y’all all each other got. Lourde lil sis I think her name is Nina baby I wish you could see just how beautiful you are and that your man is filth. I think he thought he loved you but since he started out with an agenda, IDGAF about what came about after cause revenge don’t just go away. TUH! I hate that you are pregnant for his sorry behind and I pray you don’t have the baby. Cause what type of man does what he did with that dirty dog face gyal who’s suppose to be your best friend baby Chanel you can go to the bottom pits of hell. Now Chanel you are the absolute worse and you added a pregnancy in the mix which makes it even more disgusting. Let’s not leave out the number of men you smashing in a rotation which makes you look even worse. I mean your friend daddy, your friend brother, and your friend boyfriend. Girl FU! Bell I hope you die the worse most insufferable death because you are scum. I mean the worst kind of man walking. That bomb you dropped at the end. WHEW!!! I really began to see Bell wasn't any better than Chanel, Eugene, O'Shea, or Raven. Bell had Lourde doing his dirty work all the while knowing his true intentions. Lourde and Loyalty's encounter was crazy but it brought about changes in both of them. I can't believe how gullible and naive Neenah is that she doesn't realize her so called best friend really doesn't have her best interest at heart. Chanel expected too much and I can't wait for her to get what's coming to her. O'Shea is one of the dumbest dudes ever and his need for revenge is bound to backfire. I wish Loyalty had peeped some of the subliminal messages Raven threw and realized she wasn't much of a friend. Raven needs to get her ass dragged with all that scheming. Hopefully part 2 will go deeper into the beef between Bell and Eugene because things still aren't adding up and Loyalty gets the help she needs before it's too late.

The deceit jealousy betrayal and lies this story has is amazing. Bell is using Lourde as a pawn. Neenah poor baby her fiancé and best friend the most ultimate betrayal but she isn’t innocent with all her secrets. When Chanel mentioned philly niggas I immediately thought about the story Lourde told Loyalty that was a set up meant for Lourde and it backfired not sure whose behind that but my guess is Chanel Eugene or Bell. Loyalty and Lourde meeting was weird but I’m here for it. Chanel just get rid of her she fucking everything moving to get ahead and she still so far behind. Raven just need to be honest it’s not that deep really she knew what it was. Hope Lourde has a changed of heart after the news and move on O’Shea wants revenge for nothing but he’s wrong too. Hope Loyalty comes out on top of all of this she’s been through enough

Amazing story and storyline! From the first page... I could not put this book down. The drama, the plots, the snakes, the disloyalty, the secrets.... all entangled in this web! Loyalty and Lourde, I love their relationship and you can feel the connection and love even though it didn’t start in a fortunate manner. Unfortunately, this couple is just surrounded by backstabbers, manipulators and snakes, leaving Neenah and Lourde all the the middle of this mess. You don’t know who to trust! A definite must read...want part two like yesterday! Just amazing!

This book started off great and I couldn't put it down. Loved the storyline and plot and it moved at a fast, but steady pace. Full of dtama, lies, hatred, jealousy, betrayal and the secrets made it interesting and intriguing. Thrown in all the snakes that slithering around. Definitely a page-turner. Bell is a manipulator and full of deceit. I really like Loyalty and Lourde relationship and their chemistry. Bell has pulled them into his web of deceit and it's getting messy. So much suspense you don't know who to trust and who's who. I can't wait to see O'Shea, Chanel and Raven get what they deserve. After that ending I can't wait to see what happens next. Job well done KL Hall.

This is most definitely a must read. It started off great. With a dad like Bell who needs enemies...I really dislike him. I hope Neenah sees Chanel for the snake that she is. I really want Lourde and Loyalty together. That ending was mind blowing. O’Shea definitely needs to be dealt with right with Chanel and Raven...she’s going to be shiesty...I would recommend everyone check this book out you will not be disappointed...I can’t wait to read part 2....Great job K L

The love story may seem to be about Lourde and Loyalty, but I'm seeing a ruthless love story between this heartless father and lost kids.

There was a lot Going on and so many characters that I often times was confused. The characters were mostly greed driven and made awful mistakes.
This isn’t romance or a love story. More drama based with killing, deceit and money flying around. Trust no one should have been the name of the book.
I may read the next to see what happens because it did keep my attention. Lol. I wouldn’t run and tell anyone to read it but it’s not a re-read or memorable. Supporting where I can though!

Neenah open your eyes 😢 that darn Chanel you just laying it low and spreading it wide for ever DAMN body. Furious is the worst kind of human 😈😈😈 so much betrayal and greed, can't wait for part 2

It was an interesting read. I liked Loyalty she was a straight shooter. The rest of the characters got me side eyeing they ass all shady to me except Lourde and Neenah is sick. I hope that she gets help and see that the people around don't mean her no good. Bell is just evil and I can't wait for him to get what he deserves. I'm ready for part two.

This series is gonna be lit. I love reading ur books. It is a lot of chaos going on that their scandalous people need to be dealt with. I love how lourde and loyal love is bounding. I pray he finds her in time. I'm patting my feet sipping on Pepsi and eating on popcorn waiting for the next book 😁.

I was a little let down with this book. There was no real relationship development. I also found it hard to believe that someone that has as much money ad Lourde would be living with his father. There was definitely a promise of drama to come but this book didn’t have enough. I don’t think I’ll continue with this series.

Jesus Mary and Joseph....These characters are something else..Can you say snakes all around?? Way too many secrets and skeletons... Well this has been a very interesting jaw dropping book..Can't turn away from it interesting...I'm excited to see what more can happy!!!
