Bestselling author Barbara Tanner Wallace makes her living making up stories. When not writing, she's either reading, crocheting or bowing to her cats' whims.

She's a life-long New Englander with two hundred years of Yankee history behind her. She currently lives just outside of Boston with her husband. They have one son who lives in the middle of nowhere and apparently likes it.

ARC...will be released in November.

This is absolutely adorable and perfect for Christmas!

I LOVE amnesia books. It's such a great set-up for a 2nd chance romance.

This holiday romance includes so many sweet things...whimsical McKringle couple, a sweet little girl missing her mom, a man hopelessly in love with his wife, and a woman who gets a 2nd chance to make the right choices. Barbara Wallace always manages to squeeze some good soul-searching angst into her stories, and I loved how the heroine realized--as she regains her memories--that she wasn't perfect in her marriage and made plenty of mistakes.

This is a couple you will be rooting for in a major way.

I also loved a lot of the other details--about the soap company, romantic London setting, and bits of family history.

THEIR CHRISTMAS MIRACLE is a lovely holiday gift for romance-lovers. Swoony whimsical goodness!

While I wasn't wildly fond of Their Christmas Miracle, I thought it was a nice holiday story about second chances and compromises and...amnesia. I know the romance community likes to shudder when the topic of amnesiac romance novels comes up, but this shows that in the right hands, this trope can be worth reading. In this book, Barbara Wallace delivers an emotional, mature not-quite-a-romance tale for readers in search of something festive.

How does the amnesia, or "dissociative fugue," work in this story? The author mentions in her foreword that she was attempting to do something "different" with the typical amnesiac heroine trope in this book, and I think she achieved that. My experience with amnesia in romance is usually in the context of romantic suspense (such as the classic Harlequin Intrigue, Pregnesia). Wallace does things differently here. In Their Christmas Miracle, Thomas Collier discovers his wife, Rosalind, in a remote pub in northern Scotland, and while she doesn't remember a blessed thing about their life together, she agrees to fly down to London for Christmas. For myself, I found that it was easier to buy into the protagonists finding a deep and genuine love if they...had been in love in the first place, prior to the amnesia setting in. It also helps that Rosalind was never a damsel in need of her husband's rescuing.

Their Christmas Miracle takes place in the three weeks leading up to Christmas. During that time, Thomas and Rosalind spend some fun times together, and also with their young daughter, Maddie. It seems like Rosalind has stepped back into the perfect life: gorgeous penthouse, successful husband, adoring child—yet it doesn't feel right. Naturally, Rosalind slowly begins regaining her memories, and finds that she doesn't like what her old life was like before. She soon remembers that before her accident, she was on the verge of leaving Thomas for good! The question Rosalind has to ask: is a second chance even worth it?

As is evident, the majority of the book is not really about falling in love, or even rekindling an old romance—which is why I don't really consider this to be a romance novel under the standard RWA definition. This is not a book about falling in love; it's a book about saving a marriage. That's hard work, and it requires a great deal of introspection and humbleness. Wallace does her best, given the context of the plot, but Their Christmas Miracle is a lot more soul-searching and remorseful than it is holly or jolly.

Yet ultimately, Thomas and Rosalind are both able to admit to their failings and engage honestly with the reparation process, and just in time for Santa Claus to visit!

Loved this perfect holiday romance! Handsome CEO husband, beautiful wife and daughter with some magical happenings thrown in, set in Scotland and London! The honest, relatable, strong characters prove how important compromise and communication is to a loving relationship. Second chances do happen if you don’t give up on love! I’ve read many of this author’s works and this is definitely one that I enjoyed the most! This romantic story included some unexpected twists that had me hooked from beginning to the very sweet conclusion. This one is a keeper to be read over and over! I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author.

Their Christmas Miracle was a sweet romance set during Christmas in London, filled with the emotions of a shocking reunion and the rekindling of a relationship. Barbara Wallace added a few twists to the amnesia trope she used for this story. One of which was that our hero and heroine weren’t exactly at the best point in their marriage when fate separated them–adding to the guilt Thomas felt for working so many hours as CEO of his family’s business before Rosalind’s accident. After six months of his wife being presumed dead, Thomas happens upon Rosalind who has no memory of Thomas or their daughter.

Initially, I had doubts that an amnesiac would go six months without attempting to figure out who she is, but the author came up with fairly sound reasoning for why someone in Rosalind's position might hesitate to dig around in her past.

There is festiveness in the story in the form of some shopping, tree-trimming and a fun nod to Santa, though the focus is most definitely on the marital conflict. What I liked about their conflict is that rather than just have one party to blame and groveling for forgiveness, both Thomas and Rosalind were at fault for the problems in their marriage, both characters had changing to do if they were going to make the relationship work.

While I would have enjoyed a few more interactions with the daughter, I know there are plenty of readers out there who aren’t crazy about children in romance novels, so that’s really just a personal preference thing.

Liking Thomas’s sister, Susan, is probably a personal preference thing, too, she’s prickly and forthright which might not be everyone’s cup of tea (including her brothers), but her scenes were one of the highlights of the book for me, and so I left this book eager for the next one in the trilogy where Susan takes center stage.

I received this book through a giveaway.

A Heartwarming story

This is feel good story. The storyline deals with many emotions. Love the characters in this story. You grow to feel for both as they deal with Rosalind's amnesia. I liked how the story developed in what caused the amnesia and overcoming the obstacles. Highly recommend

Loved the amnesia plot, and the gradual getting-to-know-oneself as well as her husband when he accidentally finds her.
