The Entity relates to the special Vatican Secret Service agency that was founded in 1566. For five centuries, the Vatican has used a secret spy service, called the Holy Alliance, or later, the Entity, to carry out its will. Forty Popes have relied on it to carry out their policies. In her book Vilasi delves deep into the history of this agency and takes an in-depth look at its historical background, structure, and its main leaders. It also highlights some of the events related to the same history of the Church.
This book had the potential of being interesting. Unfortunately there was no logical organization to the book and it presented itself as a rambling of information or stories that showed no sign of fact or fiction. They jumped all over the place with respect to time, place and people. Im sure the author knows quite a bit but was unable to consolidate it into a readable format. In addition, I’m sure some things were lost in translation. I’m surprised that a publisher would publish this book.
Kind of a disjointed but interesting account about the Vatican secret service. I didn't know there was such a thing until I came across it in another book. (Brad Thor).
