A free copy of the book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I hate to be negative about any review but this novel really didn't convince me. The mystery of it is what drew me, because I wanted to know what happens in the end of the novel. And the mystery of it makes me want to read the next installment as well. BUT. And this is a big but - it really made me want to skip all the parts in between, the dialogues, the inconsistent characterization, the unnecessary volume of sex scenes. I did not understand why is Grey Nakamura is supposedly a very intelligent agent and then not realise that he's being fed a lot of wine and thus gets drunk. The relationships did not convince me, because there was hardly anything apart from the physical which was explored.
I hope Grey matures a bit in the next novel of the series.
