Ugh. So instead of giving them a chance at an honest relationship, they introduce a "crazy" character to introduce pointless jealousy and stalking into this. Hooray.
I'm done. I gave it a chance to redeem itself, and it didn't. This is porny, overly-dramatic bullshit. I'm kind of miffed that it says "fans of Girlfriends will love this!" I'm sorry, Girlfriends was REAL and honest and spoke truth to two queer girls navigating their relationship. This is just nonstop fanservice with consent issues and unnecessary drama. Gross.

It seems like the main tool in a drama manga writer's toolbox is "introduce a new character that wants to tear the main couple apart". I'm this volume we get just that.
It was an ok volume, but the main plot is kind of spinning its wheels without getting any traction at this point.

The third volume of the Citrus Yuri manga series was a mixed bag. At first, it had some character that were NOT welcome in Matsuri, Yuzu's old friend who has a crush on her. And the fact that Mei was a complete tsundere was at first annoying, as was Matsuri getting the best of her.
Then Mei and Yuzu showed they care for each other in the end and it was quite heart-warming while still being a bit creepy. The creepy part was kind of necessary for continuing plot. Mei is still very much a broke bird and actually confesses as much to Yuzu.
Regardless of opinions in real life on same-sex relationships, NO relationship should be entered from a position of one of the participants being emotionally scarred. I liked some realism that still kept the wangst down so that the heartwarming elements can come through.
Harumin is hilarious. She also seems to be, as tvtropes stated, the resident fan-service girl. Twice she shows off outfits that make her attractiveness on display. I don't see a prob for fan-service and like it sometimes. I just hope that the characterization in this volume gets expanded upon and she is more developed than just Yuzu's shoulder to cry on, give exposition, and show fan-service. More Harumin focus please, Saburo-sensei.
I criticized the art before and I must take it back. While it is different from that of Morinaga Milk's Girl Friends manga, it is beautiful, as I can see now that it has grown on me.
Highly Recommend this third volume. 4-4.5 Stars.

ok cat fight!!! im glad Yuzu is finally the one being fought over, she deserves a break from being the chaser all the time. lowkey i love Matsuri and her drama and trickery and deceit!! i also like the little ending scene after the book was over between Matsuri and Harumi. I really like Harumi's character and i hope it dives more into her as a person, like this little sneak peek did. Especially bc Matsuri is so open and isnt afraid to hurt others but Harumi is open but guarded, doesnt do enough to hurt or be hurt back. i like that their dynamic is take no shit. also thank god for Mei being more upfront. love the jealousy and love that this book caused her to take a stand.

took me quite some time to finish but i just hate matsuri so much and since i knew what she would do i kept procrastinating w reading BUT i just woke up and couldn’t get back to sleep so i decided to just finish this:)

Ohhhhh so now we got Yuzu a new love interest. The twist and turns of incest lesbian love continues!
Yuzu is trying to figure out her feelings with Mei. When she asks her how she feels she says the romantic kiss meant nothing (LIAR!!!) and so now they are trying to be just normal sisters. Then in comes Yuzu old friend, who was like a little sister to her growing up (man, a lot of lesbian little/big sister loving here) and she's a trouble maker. Seeing up Mei to look like a slut, tricking Yuzu, and being a horrible person. Will Yuzu and Mei love last!?
Good: The art is still really solid. Balances the romance, the comedy, and the sexy kissing scenes. Yuzu and Mei now have a somewhat interest antagonist. She's a bitch, she's cunning, and she's here to wreck things. Our two lovers are in trouble! Also, the last scene is getting intense with mei making some big moves and looking like she ready for some loving!
Bad: It's still pretty trashy. The humor misses quite a few times.
Overall this is just pure entertainment. It's hot when it needs to be, romantic when it wants to be, somewhat funny at times (though tries to hard) and it's well drawn. So I think I'll give this one a 4 because I actually enjoyed the villain here. A 3.5 out of 5 but I'll give it a 4.

El tercer tomo de la serie sigue añadiendo drama, esta vez con la aparición de Matsuri, pero por fin vamos viendo cambios en las protagonistas. En este tomo la escuela queda relegada en comparación con los anteriores, también un poco por las fechas. Seguiremos la lectura de la serie :)

This manga is a terrible guilty pleasure. I'm enjoying the drama of it all, though I really wasn't a fan of this one. The triangle was silly but I guess it sort of set up some progress for future chapters? I really didn't like Matsuri though. There were panels of her face that looked like something out of a horror movie.

This one could've gone wrong in so many ways. Thankfully, it didn't make me too angry. Instead, it just made me mildly annoyed at the introduction of a third girl for a love triangle. There wasn't really any need to a love triangle, and definitely not for a member of it who resorts to blackmail.
While I find the love triangle annoying and certain events were almost rage-inducing, I still kind of want to know what happens with Yuzuko and Mei. I'm not all that interested in their romance so much as I want to know how this all shakes out at the end.

I didn't like the plotline with Matsuri, but otherwise this series continues apace towards the inevitable confession, and the art is still very well-done. I do wish that the covers were a little less overt -- they make the books look like porn, and in fact there's very little sexual content besides kissing so far.

A muchos les disgustó el personaje de Matsuri, pero en lo personal opino que su aparición hizo que tanto la trama como la relación entre yuzu y mei se pongan más interesantes.

Insisto. Lo que tienen estas chicas no es mas que calentura, ni amor ni nada.

More manga characters should realize what Yuzu says in this volume: that there is no "winner" or "loser" in relationships. It's a refreshingly mature statement from a YA manga.

Trashy guilty-pleasure yuri manga. Read them all in one day, wouldn't re-read. The relationships are toxic and problematic. The drawings are beautiful though, loved the art style.

En este tomo se puede apreciar el reencuentro de una amistad pasada entre Yuzu y una chica menor a ella llamada Matsuri, resulta que su amistad es derivada de encuentros en el parque y cenas navideñas puesto que se comportaban como hermanas. Lo cual provoca un problema, por su puesto, que involucra a Mei ya que Matsuri se siente amenazada por la nueva intrusión de alguien a la familia de Yuzu. Esto hace que la tensión entre la hermana "actual y la pasada" sea bastante palpable, sin embargo, ninguna de las dos es tan sensata para demostrar sus sentimientos reales hacia Yuzu y terminan llevándola a un caos mental y físico en el que tendrá que decidir a su amiga y gran compañía de la infancia o su hermana de quién está perdidamente enamorada.
Por un lado tenemos a Matsuri, una niña rebelde y bastante depravada para su corta edad, sabe como desquiciar a Yuzu al grado de semi manipularla, teniendo esto a su favor es capaz de tomar el rol de la pequeña niña que no sabe lo que hace e ir ganando terreno en la mente de Yuzu, ocultando su gran obsesión que tiene por ella y negando el miedo a perderla. Así mismo tiene la gran mentalidad para lograr chantajear a Mei y quitarla del camino.
Por otro lado tenemos a Mei que, como siempre, se las arregla para tener una poker face y mantener a raya sus sentimientos, hace los típicos movimientos románticos de costumbre para hacerse hacia atrás en el último momento y dejar en completa confusión a Yuzu, una vez que Matsuri lo descubre es amenzada y aparentemente cae, sin embargo, es bastante astuta como para estar preparada para cualquier tipo de situación. Pero por lo visto sigue siendo bastante cabeza dura como para ser más abierta y sincera en cuanto a sus sentimientos se trata.
También tenemos a una Harumin super comprensiva vomo de costumbre, se preocupa mucho por Yuzu y busca la forma de protegerla. Sólo que en esta ocasión a pesar de ser tan serena, se le ve desquiciada por Matsuri, quien aparentemente ha descubierto algo debajo de su armadura. Me pregunto di en algún momento habrá algo entre ellas dos.
La trama en este tomo me pareció un poco simple, ya que no profundiza demasiado en ninguno de los personajes, tan sólo se muestra las escenas de celos de cada una y las consecuencias de sus actos, sin embargo fue entretenido pero daba la sensación de estar tomando el tema muy por encima.

I'm not going to lie I didn't expect sex work and blackmail to come out in this volume but it did! Matsuri (childhood friend of Yuzu's) is incredibly jealous of Mei and Yuzu's relationship and is desperate to come between them and get Yuzu's attention exclusively.
Matsuri also does online sex work for money as a part-time job but is catfishing these guys and sending fake pictures and fake p*rn clips and saying that it's her.(How old are they!?) She threatens Mei with a photo of Mei kissing her and tells her that she'll show Yuzu unless she meets up with one of her internet clients ummm what the fuck!? This shit went from 0 to 100 real quick then blew it off like it was nothing. I am perplexed!!! Anywayssss, Matsuri deletes the photo in the end instead of using it to blackmail Mei.
Then leaves.
Mei and Yuzu get home alone at night and have another awkward makeout scene then Mei says some cryptic shit and that's the end...

¡La cosa se pone cada vez más interesante! Una vez más, una vieja amiga de una de las protagonistas llega para llevar las cosas al límite, y esta vez es Mei quien se ve puesta entre la espada y la pared. Después de haber resuelto un poco sus conflictos familiares, el drama llega otra vez sin darle un respiro.
De momento, me está gustando bastante. Me gusta que haya variedad más allá de que sea un manga centrado en el ámbito de lo escolar. La tensión es constante, y es agradable ver cómo se intercalan los núcleos de acción con el desarrollo de los sentimientos entre las dos hermanastras.
Además, en este tomo, se le hace a Yuzu una pregunta clave que hará que sus sentimientos sean todavía más difíciles de ordenar.

Matsuri makes me want to commit murder. But also I love her. Like if she wasn't getting in the middle of a relationship that I like she would probably be my favourite character. She so does not give af about anything and goes after what she wants. She is super smart and the last scene where she is bugging Harumi I loved (I hope they get more page time together, because that could be very interesting). There wasn't much between Mei and Yuzu in this volume but I liked that Mei started showing her feelings and reaching out to Yuzu a bit more. The tension is literally making my heart race and I just need something positive to happen or I am going to explode. Also, the art is still so freaking beautiful. I love every single panel, especially the coloured ones, absolutely incredible.

So, for the first two volumes I didn't write any review because I was reading non-stop, but this time I want to stop and let you know what I think.
Many people says this sory is trash, but this ain't trash, this story is so enjoyable and captivated me since the first chapter.
Yeah, maybe this is not the most healthy relationship (pretty obvious) but that doesn't mean anything, is like After, you can enjoy the story.
What I didn't like about this volume is the new character "Matsuri", she's really crazy and I think she's not necessary in this story, or at least not now or not being like that.
The rest of the volume was so enjoyable as I said, totally recommended.

Okay, this gets five stars for two reasons: One, Yuzu telling off Matsuri towards the end, and two because Yuzu actually treats and talks to Matsuri like a sister. I appreciate that Saburouta went out of her way to make Yuzu’s dialogue about or with Matsuri as if Yuzu’s talking to a sister, not a lover. Matsuri is super unlikable and I was only able to tolerate her because of the fast-paced drama and her comeuppance in the end. Saburouta tries to make her sympathetic, but not too hard so I was cool with that. Good job, Saburouta, good job.

Overall still continues to be a good yuri manga. There was a new character introduced of a former childhood friend who creates a lot of drama (very tropey). The drama keeps everything moving, but sometimes it's a bit much. I still overall like the characters and the art is consistently excellent. I will continue to read, but I really hope the drama is turned down just a bit cause some of the situations in this volume were ridiculous.

Bu cilt tamamıyla Matsuri'yi tanıtmak ve Mei'nin biraz daha açılmasını sağlamak için yazılmış/çizilmişti.
Çizimleri hala mükemmelliğini koruyor ancak cildi okurken çok sıkıldım. Oluşturulmaya çalışılan aşk üçgeni pek hoş değildi ve "O benim, ellerini kendine sakla." tutumundan pek hoşlanmadım Matsuri'nin. Ama sonu güzel bir yere bağlandı ve Mei'nin cildin sonunda söylediği şeyler için bütün o sıkıcı olayları okumaya değerdi.

OMG that Matsuri is such a fucking bitch! I mean, jealous and desperate much girl? It’s like ok, we get it. You like Yuzu. But you don’t go fucking with someone that was your best friend when you were little. Pull families apart on Christmas Eve. That’s not what friends do. Psycho bitch! Yeah no. I don’t like Matsuri one bit.

Ci sono 'ste copertine che fanno credere chissà cosa... ma le due non sono neanche insieme per il momento!
E cominciano ad arrivare le scocciatrici per allungare il brodo... Questa volta tocca a un'amica d'infanzia di Yuzu a rovinare le uova nel paniere proprio il giorno di Natale!
Possibile che non ci possano essere degli altri modi per rallentare la storia che non quello di inserire "antagonisti" a casaccio?
