A dark hero's tragic and epic journey through the ages. Love, lust and revenge never die - they smolder and then explode with all the fury of the abyss.
Present-day Scotland and New York...
Lord Branislav Cervenka rules the New York vampire coven and the criminal underworld with an iron fist. He is building a vampire army and planning to conquer all the other covens in the United States.
His hunters torture and destroy a female vampire in the Highlands of Scotland and steal a strange, ancient tome. Then all hell breaks loose: a mysterious vampire warrior is killing his vassals and disrupting his criminal activities; a horrific vampire plague is spreading through the city; New York is descending into anarchy, and the National Guard is on the streets.
Who is this vampire and what does he want?
As Cervenka's coven historian begins to translate the hideous book, the identity and full horror of their ancient adversary is slowly revealed.
As his depraved kingdom is ripped apart in a sea of fire and blood, the vampire lord desperately commands his army to find and kill his enemy. But it is too late for both of them. Something else is coming: something powerful and terrifying.
And She will destroy them all.
There is no redemption for the damned.

Some Amazon UK Reviews
"Great Book, Not for twilight fans!
Vampires are back and deadly as ever! Horrifying and bloodthirsty, the author takes us into a world of the night walkers. A far cry from young adult sparkly vampires, here they're back to their original wicked selves. Having grown up reading the classics I appreciated this. The story is packed with twists and turns, well researched and written back stories but not for kids. So if you like your vampires in the horror section, this is for you. Looking forward to reading more from."
"Absolutely loved this book! There were no sparkles, no magic daylight rings... Just blood, guts, gore and sex - exactly what you want in a vampire book! Excellent :)"
"This book is great value for money. It takes on a different angle of vampire story, rather than the usual Vlad the Impaler, or teen love story. I loved the little snippets of background on each character, and I can see lots of scope for a series of books. This book would make a great movie. Five stars from me."
"A bloody tale of revenge spanning across time. It kept me interested right till the very end. I really loved this book and I would recommend it to any vampire fans."
"I would heartily recommend this book, so good to read something different from the norm. Exciting, sexy and I want to know what Longche does next."
"Brutish, bloodthirsty and at times a little unnerving, this addition to the currently very popular vampire genre, is not for the faint-hearted! There are no cute teen vampires here, just evil creatures who wish to devour humans at every opportunity, and in the worst possible way. That said, I liked it a lot!"
The humble Scottish chronicler of the Longinus the Vampire series.
Anarchic, terrifying, exciting, provocative, and thought-provoking horror adventure novels. Gripping tales of vampires, demons, gods, and an enigmatic dark hero.
Saint or sinner? Knight or nightmare? Only the gods...and you...can tell.
But, be ye warned...all hope abandon, ye that enter here.
The premise of the book was great. The writing and editing of the book was atrocious. I tried to read this book in the hopes the story would pull me in...It didn't and it couldn't
Very clever new twist to the Vampire story, but to much sodomy and way to much detail to go with it, I found myself passing over quite a lot of pages out of boredom. Stick to the fighting action in future and give us our moneys worth.
Good world setup and an interesting storyline. Interesting take on Longinus just compassionately putting a crucified man out of his suffering and then being made a scapegoat. however I will not be continuing with this series as I consider the sexual violence over the top.
I am a fan of vampire stories And this was a good one! A great new twist on the genre. I Am getting the next 2 ASAP. A Vampire with some morality, created by and controlled by a higher and more evil entity. Like others have said it is on the violent graphic side but for the most part it is to the bad guys. What do you expect from Vampires? Not a soap opera romance here. Thank you Alan !
Love and Revenge never die. Truly dark - violence, action, intrigue, and lots of blood. Longinus is the dark hero, a real badass vampire out for revenge. I found this story captivating, exciting, raw, and impossible to put down.
The adventure is not over and I am on to book two in the series - Longinus The Vampire: Redemption.
Excellent, well written book! Not many reach vampire royalty to stand with the likes of Ann Rice but this author has achieved it! Dark and complicated, twisting the plot. Loved it!
I have read a lot of vampire books in the last six months and this is one of the best. Drama throughout the whole book. So glad I found this author. Bad ass
Longche was once a centurion who commanded his men with a strong hand. He was also the man who stabbed Jesus with his spear during the crucifixion. Because of this, he was cursed and claimed by Lilith to find and destroy her enemies; both alive and dead. After centuries of war and destruction, Longche abandoned that life and instead spent his time learning and improving himself. With his soulmate by his side, it seemed an attainable goal. Until the leader of the New York coven destroyed Carmilla and shattered the illusion. Now he is on the warpath and determined to get his revenge. He will make them beg for mercy and rue the day they heard his name. But he knows he is hunter and hunted-Lilith is furious he turned his back on her, and he knows its only a matter of time before she finds him and exacts some revenge of her own.
Alan Kinross has brought vampires back to the dark side in Longinus The Vampire. It is dark, suspenseful, and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. The first page lets you know this is not going to be a story about happy vampires, and each page after that continues along that vein. You can't help but keep turning the pages because Kinross pulls you into his world so completely you feel like a part of the story and you lose sight of everything else. The descriptions bring everything to life with an incredible clarity that helps you see it all without slowing down the story, and they also help make it real. The locations, the characters, everything is done with incredible skill that transports you to every scene Long story short, this book is amazing. The characters are fully developed and believable, the scenes are set perfectly, and the story sucks you in completely. If you are looking for a story about happy vampires you should turn away now. Otherwise you will definitely not regret picking this book up!
From start to finish this book was a winner. Kinross throws out the stereotypical vampire image that plagues our society and inserted a darker, lustier image. Longinus battles his inner self and struggles to maintain his conscience. All in all, he proves a seriously effective hero and a sexy one at that! The details in this book are what really makes the story a page turner, with the vivid imagery employed you feel like you're standing beside the characters. The icing on the cake is the flashback scenes where we get to explore Longinus's creation.
This was a fantastic first novel and I'm on my way to purchase the second!
Ugh! A little too bloody. I get that these are vampires and lots of blood is the norm, but my goodness, this was more blood and gore than erotica. Story needs some editing as well. Odd placement of commas, repeating sentences, strange word usage. The overall story was interesting, though. Nice intermingling of ancient history with the history of the characters. The characters are well developed. I particularly liked Lord Cevenka and some of his "vassals" as well as Longche. But more often than not, the plot got bogged down in the focus on killing.
