Fun story but it ends with a cliffhanger. Heavy on the fantasy and slight on reality, this book delivers. It was nice to look into Dr. Fathom's past to find out what shaped him. The addition of both Gertie and Elsa added more dimension to the guys. Bravo!

The Temple of Time is the fifth book in the Fathom’s Five series by Geoffrey Knight and cannot be read as a standalone. This book tells the legend of the Olmec civilization, their Temple of Time, and the possibility of time travel. It introduces us to Caro Sholtez and the Novak Four, who are the keepers of the four pieces of the clock and the book to the temple. It also gives some of the back story on Professor Max Fathom – his only love, how he lost his eye sight, his remembrance of Sen, and how he got started on his journey to find each of the locations and artifacts in previous books.

Will said with a roll of his eyes. “We’re looking for a place called the Temple of Time, for Christ’s sake.” “I didn’t think anyone was taking it literally,” Jake argued. “I thought it was just a cool name for a temple.”

I think this is my favorite book of the series so far. There is the usual action-packed adventures and races against time, but this one feels more developed. It also has more of a focus on protecting family and finding your forever person than the past ones. With the inclusion of Gertie (Shane’s mother), Felix (Will’s butler), Fynn (new adventurer), Daniel (Shane’s boyfriend and newer adventurer), Elsa (Max’s housekeeper), and more, there is a larger support system in place for each of the adventurers, but you also get to see their different personalities and protectiveness of those who are or have become family. Oh, and there are some seriously laugh out loud moments, especially with Gertie and Elsa in the mix!

“I don’t wanna be eaten alive by a jaguar. I’ve got a wedding to prepare!”
“Jaguar’s don’t eat you alive,” said Natalya. “First they crush the skull of their prey. Then they pick the flesh from your bones.”
“Oh, now that’s a fun fact,” said Gertie. “Who raised you? Satan?”

Elsa & Felix: “Who are you again? And why are you patting my hand like it’s a schnauzer?” “I’m the butler.” “And I’m the housekeeper. What the hell are we doing in this mess!”

This does end in a cliffhanger where you absolutely want to know what happens next but leaves it in an interesting way. Will be keeping an eye out for the 6th book in the series!

The Temple of Time is the long-awaited full length installment of the Fathom's Five series. If you're looking for a rip-roaring adventure, you won't be disappointed. The author enjoys describing action scenes in details, which pulls the reader into the adventure. The weak points are that the characters remain rather one-dimensional and the plot gets a bit convoluted. But to the book's credit, the main plot is taken seriously and is not overwhelmed by the gay romance angle like many m/m genre books, so you can enjoy it as a pure thriller/adventure book, just with an entire gay male cast of characters.

I’m speechless, this was so good. This is another great adventure for the Fathom’s Five group. I don’t want to give anything away but I had to know what was going to happen so stayed up all night to read the book. There is plenty of suspense, adventure and a few surprises. I suggest reading this series in order for a better understanding of the relationships and things that previously occurred, I think you’ll enjoy this book more for it. I look forward to reading what happens next.

This has to be my favorite one of the “Fathom’s Five” series! I absolutely loved the story plot and definitely can visualize it coming to alive on the screen if it ever pans out! Strangely, my favorite characters in this one was Elsa, the housekeeper and Gertie, the mother of one of the MCs. They certainly brought the humor out and I had to re-read and laugh at what comes out of their mouth or action. Reading “I want to uncome!” over and over!! Gertie being the Southern Belle was quite hilarious! It would definitely show on the screen! I can visualize the face expressions/hand gestures that she exhibited in the book! This definitely would make for an awesome Indiana Jonesque type of M/M Action Adventure movie! Don’t get me started on these front covers that are to die for!!! I simply want to thank whoever recommended the series to me. I’ll forever be in that person’s debt for life! I can’t gush enough about the series!!!! I’m beyond thrilled that this book isn’t the last one in the series! I simply, simply can’t wait for the next book to be released! I just want to tip my fedora to the author for coming up with such a fabulous m/m action adventure series.

In this particular book, we get a glimpse into Professor Fathom’s background and how he came to be blind. The nemesis who he was in love with was back in full force. Professor Fathom hadn’t seen (pun intended) his nemesis since he caused the incident where Professor Fathom became blind during their college life. Along with Professor Fathom’s gang (the hot, sexy, enthralling men from the first 4 books) they raced to try to prevent the nemesis from acquiring all the objects that creates “The Temple of Time” which would be catastrophic if put together along with rescuing important minor characters. The cliffhanger is to die for! I simply gasped when I got to the end!

Great read. Just as with the other books in the series, this book is full of action in more than one way.
This book would be a fitting ending for the series if Knight hadn’t left several cliff hangers. I would be greatly upset if this is the last book in the series, as he previously stated, but then opened new storylines that will not be completed. I am assuming there will be more books or even short stories in the series.

Another grand adventure

Fathoms Five is in a battle against time itself to save the world and hopefully all survive themselves. Our men are torn apart in this adventure and all we can do is hope in the end they will find each other once more.
Not gonna lie the cliffhangers get worse with each addition and I can't help but be thankful the series is now complete.

What a brilliant book! Fitting end for that villain... The endings THOUGH!!! How are they going to do that in the next one?! As a side-note, yesterday I pre-ordered Book 6 of the Fathom's Five.

Another great adventure with the Fathom's Five. A very surprising ending which I am curious to see how it may get resolved in a future novel.

How can it end like that?

OMG! This can't be the end. I need to know what happens to Will, Fynn, Luca, Felix and Elsa and oh god...what's happening to Eden? You can't get me all hyped up like this and not give me another book, right? There has to be another book. We've come so far, it can't be over.

I'm obsessed with this series. I can't get enough of it. I've devoured every single book. They make my heart race, my breath catch in my throat and my palms sweat. And I love it! I want more and more of these guys. But most of all, I want them all to find happiness. I love the additions of Daniel and Fynn. They're great characters.

I'm always impressed by the intricate details of these books and how every crazy adventure is crafted. I love how I can see everything playing out in my mind like a movie. And it's even better because instead of one hot guy, we've got five!

So, I agree this series is problematic, and I don't want to minimize that, but this book has been one that has started to come out of lots of it's problematic tones. I picked it up as I had read the series, thinking yay hot gay smut, and what was at first frustrating because no sex until 60% in, became delight as I fell in love with the story and characters more than ever. I teared up, tell NO ONE. And I truly hope there is a next book. Spoiler: We need to help Eden, get them all reunited, I needs this next installment please.
