This has such an amusing premise but the book was mostly excruciating to read.

The part I found funniest was “non 11” which is the crisis of the 11 minutes his Twitter was off and he couldn’t tweet.

Some of the writing from the team is smart and/or funny.

But so much of the book is Trump’s tweets. I kind of had to skim.

I was more depressed, infuriated, frightened, stunned, than amused. Yes, some are so bad they’re funny, one at a time. A whole bunch all at once, not so much. Boring too, for me.

For me it was at best okay. 5 stars for the premise. 4 and 3 stars for some of the writing. But 1 star for having to focus so much on bizarre, moronic, spiteful, dull, and peculiar tweets. If they were from someone not in a position of power I might have been more entertained. I’m too horrified to enjoy this. When I compare it to other books I have recently read it seems like a waste of time. 2 stars is generous but I did get a few chuckles out of it.

I have never laughed so hard at anything so depressing in my life! The tweets themselves are hilarious in their self-incrimination of the Idiot in Chief, but the accompanying critical commentary is just priceless.

Good, but of course mostly just past tweets from a very stable genius. Tweets were shared, and commented on, by theme. Felt repetitive and old news at times, inevitably, but I genuinely chuckled at the juxtapositions and commentary. Reminded me once again how no one person can remember all the lunacy. ("Oh, yeah, how did I forget that one?")

Did you know that 45 has tweeted about the store Tiffany the same amount of times as his daughter Tiffany? (6) But has tweeted about Ivanka -- well, a lot. In fact, more tweets about Ivanka than Melania. Huh.

Fun, pointed satire in troubled times. Not only are the Orange One's tweets skewered, but so is the pretentious language of art museums. A quick read, and one to enjoy in a bunker after the nuclear attacks.

I really enjoy watching clips of Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, as well as of his stand up comedy routines. I have also listened to his autobiography on audiobook and it was great.

Iam not, however, a fan of Twitter and do not have an account. Even if I did, I would not want to follow a lot of people, especially celebrities and certainly not our current administration.

So, when I saw that this book was getting published, I was pretty lukewarm about it. I knew that I could appreciate the humor, the irony, and the complete flip-flopping messages and outright lies that have emanated from the White House's current occupant.

But I just couldn't see myself ever purchasing the book - I couldn't stand to see so many of his tweets all in one place and I certainly wouldn't want to own a book containing them.

So, when I happened to be surfing the shelves at my campus bookstore and I saw the book, I had to take a peek. I did not read the entire book cover-to-cover, but I did browse through it and read many pages as I flipped through it.

It was somewhat entertaining, but I think the three (or so) minutes I spent looking through the book was more than enough.

Trevor Noah is very funny, and I love the thought of putting together a formal museum show to house the absolute inanity of the current POTUS. Somehow, though, the effect gets a little lost in book form. It's incredibly depressing to realize there was enough material for this book not even a *year* into his presidency, and that now the same project could be repeated with much, much worse tweets. (Horseface, anyone? >.<)

The book is a very nice companion to the art installation the Daily Show put together, but it's not something I will be re-reading anytime soon. Not until I want my nightmares to quadruple for a while, anyway.

This is a brilliantly put together book. It takes all of Donald Trump’s tweets and groups them into their topics. There’s no need to even make fun of the man. His own words show just how unbalanced he is and how undeserving of the title of president. It’s not something you can read in one sitting, the tweets need to be savored for their surreal existence. And yes, there’s a page for covfefe.

My problem with this book and books like it is that it stops being funny very quickly. And honestly, that was way more time than I wanted to spend in Drumpf's head. I applaud TDS show for getting through all of those tweets and making this work, but I kinda regret buying this. It's repetitive and, like I said, the joke wears thin.

Whatever reality Drumpf inhabits, I don't want to visit.

Sadly, there is enough stupidity coming from P.O.O.P. (Person Occupying the Office of the President) to even justify this book.

While I loved the concept and the side commentary, I can't give five stars because much of the material was written by P.O.O.P. and he doesn't need any more credit than he already gives himself.

This is a fun, fast read and great to share with friends over cocktails.

Loved this book for the entertainment value and laughs! The Daily Show did a great job curating and categorizing 45's tweets, but when you take a step back and remember this stuff is REAL and coming from the mouth (or tiny hands) of our President, the chuckles turn to disgust and horror.

Very well written, organized, and researched. I really like the chapter headers, they are subtle and well thought out. The illustrations, particularly the cover art; the layout using the frames, the timelines, and the forward. I only hope there is a sequel as this book ends in early 2018. There is a wealth of available data in the last two years.

No Trumper would ever think this is funny or understand the irony. I think it's great.

A quick but funny read! Feel like there's a good chance if Trump read this book, the scathing sarcasm and mockery might go over his head entirely and he'd probably tweet how accurate the commentary is and how well the authors have paid hommage to his "stable genius".

I love The Daily Show & found it hilarious when they unveiled the Donald Trump Presidential Twitter Library in New York, even if it was only for one weekend. When they released a book dedicated to the Moron in Chief's tweets, I had to read it.

I think I had a 5 star rating in mind before I even started reading it, so it's not surprising that the book did not quite live up to the lofty expectations I had. However, it was still really well done, and considering it is a book about tweets from a raving lunatic, it flowed fairly well.

With over 38,000 tweets to choose from, the true DJT comes through even if it is in comedic fashion. Racist, misogynistic, egotistic, and unstable; these are all things that many already knew prior to being elected President. Unfortunately there are too many people that just don't care.

I'm not a political person and felt torn between the 2 main Presidential candidates in the 2016 election, not making my decision until I was in the voting booth on Election Day. Had I been more aware of Donald Trump's Twitter history, it might have made my decision a lot easier. That said, I also would have expected the person in the nation's highest leadership role to set aside his personal opinions on trivial matters and instead use his platform to reach a new generation of Americans who are more likely to engage in social media than watch a speech on TV or read newspaper accounts of the latest executive actions.
As Noah and the others involved with the Daily Show have so dutifully compiled, this did not occur. Instead, we are treated to learn about the President's innermost thoughts on his political rivals, his position on the now-dead relationship between 'Twilight' stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and his opinion on the greatest human who ever lived, none other than Donald Trump himself. Some of these Tweets, like the mystifying 'covfefe' have made headlines on their own, but for the most part, especially in the case of the ones before he announced his candidacy, I suspect many of them have been lost in the ether in the minds of most Americans.
The wild thing about this book is that these are only Tweets from 2009-2018, and naturally only the ones the Daily Show found worthwhile to complete their profile of Donald Trump as the true American Idol we finally found after our first 200+ years as a nation. I imagine they will have to add another wing to the Library to honor the finely honed messages crafted in the second half of Trump's term, and should he win a second term, a new building erected. In my opinion, it should be built along the nation's southern border as part of his Great Wall so that much like the bookstore in Vermont that is also half in Canada, citizens of two nations can come together and bond over a common interest.
Yes, this review is full of sarcasm because I feel that despite any moments of good leadership President Trump has achieved, his actions on a personal level, particularly with his unfiltered use of Twitter, are also being seen on a global level and I truly believe we may be the laughing stock around the world. And for that, even with yet another undesirable matchup between the major parties for the 2020 election, my vote will definitely be going to the man who does not take to Twitter every day to bully, self-aggrandize, and generally make a mockery of the office of President of the United States of America.

Yesterday, I woke up to the shocking footage of riots in Capitol Hill, and subsequently Twitter and Facebook took action against Trump's accounts for inciting violence etc. Ivanka even tweeted that the rioters were "patriots". Incredible, Lincoln would be proud.

Lo and behold, I had just borrowed this book couple days ago. Another confirmation of my belief that you have to read the right book at the right time. What better time to read this? I strongly recommend y'all to find this.

It's morbid I guess, akin to watching a trainwreck. I was oddly fascinated by The Daily Show's incredible research and analysis. From explaining the context, to flowcharts of the Commander in Tweet's thought process, to graphs analysing his style and focus topics. 6 mentions of Tiffany the daughter vs 6 of the jewelry company vs 136 of Ivanka. It's obvious who's the favourite child.

I particularly found the number of consecutive "!" extremely illuminating. The proper use of the word Sad. I consider myself thoroughly educated. Not to mention his fixation on Obama and Hilary, and his penchant for cyberbullying with juvenile nicknames. To include a bit about Melania's anti-cyberbullying cause is just...... Bad.

Also attaching photos on Instagram of the one week pop up exhibit, where visitors could sit on a golden throne as they watch Fox News and tweet. Absolutely brilliant. Well done.

Well, like some of the other readers, I think the book is very funny, in an appalling sort of way. If this man was not our president, these tweets would be just funny. The book does a good job with commentary on the ridiculousness of the tweets, and has a good selection which is fairly up to date. If we don't laugh at this stuff, we would be crying.
