Une histoire populaire du football
De l’Angleterre à la Palestine, de l’Allemagne au Mexique, du Brésil à l’Égypte, de la France à l’Afrique du Sud, ce livre raconte une autre histoire du ballon rond, depuis ses origines jusqu’à nos jours.
Le football ne se résume pas au foot-business : depuis plus d’un siècle, il a été un puissant instrument d’émancipation pour les ouvriers, les féministes, les militants anticolonialistes, les jeunes des quartiers populaires et les contestataires du monde entier.
L’auteur retrace le destin de celles et ceux qui, pratiquant ce sport populaire au quotidien, en professionnels ou en amateurs, ont trop longtemps été éclipsés par les équipes stars et les légendes dorées. توی این دو روز واقعا کتابش رو اسپید ران کردم. هر بار که شروع کردم بخونم ۱۵۰ صفحه خوندم و بلند شدم و این کردیت رو میتونم بهش بدم که متن ساده و خوبی داره. خوندنش لذت بخشه و خسته کننده نمیشه.
اما... ذرهای قابل استناد نیست.
بار اولی که بهش شک کردم در مورد فوتبال زنان بود. من حدود یک ماه پیش توی یوتیوب کل تاریخ فوتبال زنان رو دیدم (چون اخیرا بهش علاقه پیدا کردم، به نظرم خلاقانهتره) و هنوز خیلی خوب یادمه که شروعش چطور بود. توی این کتاب سر فصل ها و موضوعاتی که در مورد سالهای ابتدایی فوتبال زنانه درستن، اصلا شکی هم توش نیست. اما وسطش هی یادم میومد که من یکسری جزئیات رو متفاوت یادمه. مثلا تصور کنین پنجتا جمله کاملا درستن و میشه ازشون به عنوان فکت اسم برد، ولی ششمی که اتفاقا توی درکِ قضیه مهمه اصلا درست نیست. یکسری جاها عمدا از تیمها و آدمهای بزرگی اسم برده نشده، چون اونها به نوعی با نظام سرمایهداری در ارتباط بودن.
ولی گفتم خب این مال بیشتر از صد سال پیشه، ممکنه برداشتها متفاوت باشه. حتی وقتی که به مقابلهی فوتبال با فاشیسم رسید من یکم اذیت شدم که اینقدر از سوسیالیستها و شوروی تعریف کرده بود. در حالی که کاملا ثبت شده که رفتار اون کشورهای با فوتبال چطور بوده. یعنی... دیگه چیزهایین که بهشون دسترسی آسونه، بعد خیلی دید نگارنده مهم نیست چون کل قضیه تاریک و اذیتکنندهس. اینکه یک نفر صرفا به خاطر سمت سیاسیای که ایستاده از یکسری اتفاق حمایت کنه و با لحن حماسی و تحسین آمیز در موردشون بنویسه چیزی نیست که من باهاش راحت باشم. (مثلا جام جهانی ایتالیا توی دوره موسلینی)
ولی بازم اینجا چشممو روش بستم، گفتم شاید من اشتباه میکنم. وقتی رسید دههی هشتاد دیدم دیگه داره تاریخ فوتبال رو به یک شکل دیگهای میگه. یعنی صرفا خوانش کمونیستی فوتبال نیست، حتی در مورد مردمم نیست دیگه. یکسری از اطلاعاتش رو با چندتا سرچ ساده میشد رد کرد (فرضا بخش بزرگی از فوتبال توی آمریکای جنوبی).
ولی وقتی میرسه به دورهی اخیر فوتبال، چیزی که دیگه خودم زنده بودم و همشو دیدم و در جریان جزئیاتش هم بودم سخته که حرفهای یکی رو قبول کنم که حس کردم کل تاریخش رو تحریف شده نوشته. واقعا یکسری از بخشها کاملا اشتباه بودن و انگار نویسنده خیلی عصبانی بود که یکسری باشگاه که قبلتر "کارگری" بودن الان پول دارن و میتونن خرج کنن.
در کل کتابی نیست که پیشنهادش کنم. مخصوصا اگه یک نفر به تاریخ فوتبال مسلط نیست. چون کاملا یک طرفه داره بررسی میکنه و این اصلا خوب نیست.

Una Historia Popular del Fútbol es un ensayo magnífico sobre la historia social y política del fútbol, tocando momentos clave desde su nacimiento (las resistencias comunales frente a los cercamientos en Inglaterra) hasta la actualidad (donde fútbol no son solamente los grandes clubs y los negocios neoliberales). Es una oda a un deporte que, como nos narra el autor, tiene la fuerza mayéstica de la dramaturgia con sus unidades de tiempo, lugar y acción. Organizado en cinco apartados (Defender, Atacar, Regatear, Animar y Escapar), Mickaël Correia recorre las pequeñas historias del fútbol de manera más o menos cronológica: los Enclosure Acts del XVII y XVIII, las public schools de la burguesía, la reapropiación por los obreros ingleses a finales del XIX, la relación fútbol-sufragismo y el poder de las munitionnettes, la resistencia futbolística frente a las dictaduras (URSS, Brasil, Egipto, Turquía) y el plantarles cara (y muchos goles) a los nazis y el franquismo –el darse cuenta que si lo personal es político, el fútbol también es (y siempre fue) intrínsecamente político, aunque hoy en día las federaciones intenten sacar de los estadios esas reivindicaciones del pueblo–, el poder contra el colonialismo (la independencia argelina, el conflicto palestino-israelí, las resistencias indígenas en Latinoamérica…), la pasión del hooliganismo, los ultras italianos y las subculturas (con la pasión que suscita Maradona, por ejemplo), y el democratizar el fútbol y que vuelva a quien siempre le perteneció –el futbol femenino en Francia y Estados Unidos, el fútbol punk (¡clubes democráticos y el cooperativismo!), o los piratas del St. Pauli (aquí tenéis ya otra aficionada más ☝️)…–.
Creo que esta lectura puede suscitar muchísimas ideas diferentes dependiendo del lector, y considero que no hace falta ser muy futboler@ (ni saberse todos los datos deportivos del mundo) para disfrutar de este ensayo. Aunque sí considero que debe interesarte lo político. Yo he descubierto esa otra historia –la popular, la de lo común, la historia política y social, la que más me interesa, en definitiva– de un deporte que me apasiona desde que recuerdo ver jugar, con cuatro años, al Barça de la temporada 96-97.

Although I do think you should be interested in politics. I have discovered that other story –the popular, common one, the political and social history, the one that interests me most, in short– of a sport that I love since I remember watching Barça playing when I was four.

In „Une histoire populaire du football“ entfaltet Mickaël Correia eine radikale Gegenchronik des populärsten Spiels der Welt, in der Fußball nicht als Spektakel der Massen, sondern als Ausdruck sozialer Kämpfe, Klassenkonflikte und utopischer Sehnsüchte erscheint. Der Slogan der St.-Pauli-Fans aus der Saison 1986–1987 – „Qui sont les rats qui nous trahissent ? Les sociaux-démocrates ! Qui ne nous trahira jamais ? Pour sûr, c’est Sankt Pauli !“ – steht emblematisch für die rebellische, antiautoritäre Energie, die Correia in den Archiven der Fußballgeschichte aufspürt. Er zeigt, wie das Spiel, ursprünglich ein spontanes Ritual der Straße und des Volkes, schrittweise von Machtinteressen, Kapital und Nationenbildung kolonisiert wurde – und wie sich dennoch immer wieder Inseln der Solidarität und des Widerstands bildeten. Philosophisch gelesen ist Correias Buch eine Studie über Entfremdung und Aneignung: Der Fußball wird zum Spiegel moderner Gesellschaften, in denen das Kollektive ständig gegen seine eigene Vereinnahmung anrennt. Zwischen Romantik und Revolte, Nostalgie und Anarchie feiert Correia den Fußball als eine Praxis der Freiheit – eine fragile, aber unzerstörbare Erinnerung daran, dass selbst im Spiel um Tore die Frage nach Gerechtigkeit nie ruht.
Ich träume von einem Fußball, in dem Gerechtigkeit nicht nur auf dem Spielfeld, sondern auch in der Bewertung der Ergebnisse herrscht. Spiele sollten erst dann als wirklich gerecht gelten, wenn die finanziellen Mittel der Vereine in die Punkteverteilung einbezogen werden. Wenn also Freiburg oder St. Pauli den FC Bayern München besiegen, dann müsste dieser Sieg mehr zählen – weil er nicht bloß ein sportlicher Erfolg, sondern ein Triumph der Unabhängigkeit über die Macht des Geldes ist. Eine solche Regel würde die ökonomische Schieflage sichtbar machen und die Spannung des Spiels vertiefen: Der Mut, der Einfallsreichtum, die Solidarität der vermeintlich Schwächeren erhielten endlich das Gewicht, das ihnen gebührt. In diesem Traum wird der Fußball wieder zu dem, was er im Ursprung war – ein gerechtes Spiel, das die Machtverhältnisse der Welt für neunzig Minuten auf den Kopf stellt.

Hace tiempo que no leía un libro de no ficción que me entretuviera, emocionara y me hiciera pensar tanto como este. 22 historias de diferentes lugares y períodos que tienen como factor comun la pasión popular que genera el fútbol y su identificación con las comunidades locales.
Tres temas a destacar. En los orígenes, antes que se formalizara, se trata de un deporte y fiesta popular en la que se liberan las tensiones acumuladas por las desigualdades sociales; la violencia física del juego, lesionados y muertos de por medio, purga las rabias y rivalidades cumpliendo un rol de rehacer posible o re-equilibrar la convivencia.
El capítulo dedicado al Corinthians de los 70-80 y su experiencia de democracia autogestionada es, mirado desde la realidad actual, una utopía impensable. Si se considera el contexto de la dictadura brasileña, entonces se apecia mejor la comprensión del fútbol como herramienta política contestaria.
En la misma línea, el FC St.Pauli de Hamburgo no sólo se identifica con el barrio obrero y portuario, si no que toma decididamente opciones políticas contra el fascimo, el racismo, la homofobia y otras causas locales específicas.
Y se me olvidaba.... la experiencia de los clubes surgidos de la decepción de la hinchada por la mercantilización extrema, como el FC United de Manchester. Otro modelo diferente y posible a las odiosas SADP que estrangulan la alegría natural de juar al fútbol.

O título devia ser Histórias do futebol popular, uma vez que isto não é um livro de história. O livro não é o melhor em termos literários e não tem um método coerente, vai contando várias coisas ao longo da obra com recurso a algumas fontes, algumas mais fiáveis que outras, mas raramente tem uma análise crítica das mesmas
Ainda assim é um livro no qual se aprende muitas coisas interessantes, sobretudo factos e curiosidades. No fim de contas é um bom ponto de partida para poder aprofundar vários assuntos e acontecimentos no mundo do futebol e, especialmente, um bom livro para quem gosta de saber pequenas histórias e curiosidades.
Ainda assim é um livro no qual se aprende muitas coisas interessantes, sobretudo factos e curiosidades. A identificação dos clubes com as comunidades locais, do futebol burguês ao futebol popular, as lutas dos jogadores pelos seus direitos, o aproveitamento político do futebol pelas ditaduras e a luta de alguns clubes pela democracia, a mercantilização do desporto, a emancipação do futebol feminino, os movimentos anti-colonialistas. São muitas as "estórias", pelos quatro cantos do mundo, sobre este desporto que apaixona milhões, mas que hoje em dia é cada vez mais um negócio milionário e cada vez menos um desporto popular e simples paixão.

This is a long read. Sometimes it's fantastic, but sometimes it's repetitive. The main point is made over and over again, as if we are reading the same article but with changes in country and situation. There is very little suspense.
It makes, however, a colorful compilation of stories about the beautiful sport, and it is a nice angle about the role of football in social struggles. Good job by the writer.

Un beau retour en arrière extrêmement riche et documenté sur l histoire ( voir même les histoires ) du foot. Un beau livre avec des archives.
