BOOK 1: THE STRANGER I never should have looked him in the face. He wandered into my dance studio. Watched me. Took in every detail.
I tried to focus. First position. Second position. Lunge. Arabesque. Then he stopped me. Touched me. Asked me to teach him the movement. I felt on fire.
I never should have turned to look. But I did. And when he touched me. I could not let him stop.
BOOK 2: THE ENEMY I used to live in secret.
Then I walked onto a TV reality show and made a spectacle that went viral.
I did it for Blitz. To keep him.
But the risk was too much.
I was seen by my enemy.
A boy I once loved. The father of my secret child.
He’s spent years trying to find me. And now he’s at Dreamcatcher Dance Academy.
He’s going to find our baby, he says. The adoption wasn’t legal since he didn’t know.
He has no idea how close our little girl really is. That I secretly teach her ballet.
And no matter how much Blitz wants to protect me from the threat this man poses to our happy life, there’s one fact I have to face.
My past has caught up with me.
BOOK 3: THE WICKED Fame is a beast.
It’s people hounding your every move. Ridiculing your every mistake. Watching every moment.
It’s agents and producers and ratings.
And in my case, it’s three jilted women who lost a competition when I stormed on stage.
Those girls are back for revenge, and everyone sees a cat-fight in the making.
They’re sharpening their sticks. Showing up where Blitz and I do. Getting in my face.
So now I have a let each of them have another shot at my lover.
Or take them on myself.
But Blitz is mine. Game on.
BOOK 4: THE TEMPEST It’s happened. The worst thing I could have imagined. Despite how hard we tried, the world has discovered my secret child. Everyone is against us.
Her adopted mother, my friends at the Dreamcatcher Dance Academy.
Even Blitz seems at a loss at how to handle my grief at losing my tender relationship with my little girl.
When a small ballet troupe asks me to join their ranks as a dancer, I wonder if it’s time to start over. Leave everything behind. Make a life for myself.
But Blitz Craven has one more plan for me. And when he holds out his hand, I have to decide for the first time, what is it that I have always wanted?
BONUS BOOK 5: THE HUSBAND It's a done deal. I am marrying Blitz Craven, reality TV show star, dancer, my love.
Except Blitz comes with a price. His contract.
Which we have just discovered requires him to marry in a live-televised two-hour reality show wedding. And who are the bridesmaids? MY bridesmaids?
His blippin' exes. Ten of them.
And they all got a taste of fame, then lost it. And now they'll do anything to get it back. And it looks like I'll have to do anything...to stop them. ____ FIVE NOVELS OF ROMANCE, PASSION, FAME, AND DANCE. Binge read the complete series for one discounted price. Get book five in this set only.

LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Blitzed: The Series Series: Blitzed (formerly Lovers Dance) Author: Deanna Roy writing as J.J. Knight Designation: Book 1 thru 5, Complete Collection of the Original 4 Books in the Series plus a Bonus Epilogue Novella only available in this Compilation, Standalone, No Cliffhanger, HEA #contemporaryromance My Rating: FIVE CAPTIVATING STARS***** ** This compilation was originally published as the Lovers Dance Series but has since been re-released as the Blitzed Series with new book titles and covers. There have been no changes to the content of the first four books but this set does contain a bonus never-before-released novella that serves as an epilogue/conclusion for the series. This entire collection follows the relationship journey of beautiful newbie ballerina Livia Mason and handsome, charismatic reality television dance star Blitz Craven aka Benjamin Castillo, so NO waiting for the next book and NO cliffhangers.
I love, love, love this series! I've always been a sucker for romance, whether it's in real life or in the books I read, and I've always loved to dance. So when I discovered J.J. Knight had written an entire series combining two of my favorite things in the whole world, I was beyond excited. I couldn't wait to get it in my hot little hands and Knight didn't disappoint! And folks, these books do contain dancing! Our hero, Benjamin Castillo aka Blitz Craven is a talented bad boy dancer with a womanizing reputation, a long list of indiscretions, and his own reality show called Dance Blitz, and our heroine is nineteen-year-old newbie ballerina Livia Mason with stars in her eyes for our hero. I'll discuss Blitz and Livia in more detail later but just know they do actually dance - a lot, together and separately! And the way Knight writes their scenes is so vivid, so detailed, so natural, and so moving! In my mind, I could actually see the couple dancing as I read their story, and it was enthralling! Sigh... It's just so romantic. But before I get into specifics about the book, I'd first like to make a few comments about the author. I became a fan several years ago after first reading her heartwarming Forever Series written as Deanna Roy and became even more entranced with her work after discovering her alter-egos, JJ Knight and Annie Winters. As JJ Knight/Deanna Roy, she pens spicy and sweet New Adult, Contemporary, and Comedic romance. As Annie Winters, she writes sexy Contemporary Romantic Suspense. I developed a complete addiction to her Vigilante Series co-written with Tony West under her Annie Winters pen name. I love Knight's easy-to-follow style and passionate, sultry prose. There's nothing better than curling up in my favorite chair with a glass of wine and brand new book by J.J. Knight/Deanna Roy! And no one writes 'Dance Romance' like Deanna Roy. I discovered this firsthand after reading The Billionaire, a delightful standalone Contemporary Billionaire Friends to Lovers romance originally released as The Billionaire's Ballet and Dreamcatcher's Dance, which is actually the prequel to this series where we meet several of the characters in Blitz and Livia's story. But don't fret, as I said, it's also a standalone and can be read later.
But I digress, as I often do when talking about books or authors I enjoy, and I did love this entire series! Now let me tell you why! Blitzed is a captivating, fast-paced, exceptionally well-crafted and edited contemporary romance. All the books in the series follow the progression of Blitz and Livia's love story and for that reason, I highly recommend reading the books in order of their release, but the good news is this collection contains all four original books plus a new, never-before-published bonus novella entitled The Husband, which I like to think of as the epilogue or conclusion to Blitz and Olivia's story. The narrative for the entire series is beautifully written in the first person with a single perspective from the female protagonist, Livia Mason. Honestly, I usually prefer dual his and her points of view but this is Livia's story to tell and for this series, it works perfectly. I don't feel like I missed anything by not having a perspective from Blitz. The dialogue is smart, natural, realistic, well-executed, at times humorous, and flows effortlessly. I loved the premise and world Knight created for this story. It was truly extraordinary, but it's the cast of relatable, engaging, and endearing characters that completely steal the show along with my heart. I was immediately drawn into the story by the sweet, innocent and very naive Livia Mason, and I nearly swooned for our hero, handsome, cocky, professional celebrity dancer Blitz Craven aka Benjamin Castillo. These two characters could not have been more different, yet they're perfect for each other. Although Blitz was several years older than Livia and much more worldly and experienced, he's still quite immature. Well, immature may not be the right word, so let's just say he was wild, less than thrifty, and accustomed to women falling at his feet in adoration, and you better believe he enjoyed the perks of his stardom. lol... Livia lived a fairly normal life until age 15, but for the last four years had been isolated, closely monitored by her parents, and cut off from the world. The transformation of Blitz and Livia's characters and their personal growth through the entire series is masterfully done. But there's never any doubt these two characters are madly in love. It's pretty much love at first sight. Their attraction is immediate, their chemistry electric, their passion explosive, and their love undeniable! *sigh* It's just so dreamy! Knight skillfully combines every one of these elements to craft a heartwarming story filled to the brim with heartbreaking drama, agonizing angst, sweet romance, and steamy sex. This is not erotic romance, but it is sensual, passionate, and super sexy yet tastefully done. If I were asked to describe the writing style of Deanna Roy/J.J Knight in one word, it would definitely be classy!
The Stranger(Book 1): Nineteen-year-old Livia Mason loves two things in life. The first is dance which she started only two years ago, and the second is a secret, one so dark only her parents know, or at least they know part of it. But even they don't know everything and if they did, they'd never allow her to continue her ballet lessons at Dreamcatcher's Dance Academy. It's the reason Livia lost everything, and the reason her father felt compelled to leave his job, uproot his family, and relocate them four years ago, moving away from everyone they knew... and it was all her fault. Livia is literally a prisoner in her own home. She's no longer allowed to have any friends nor any kind of social life. Her parents won't even allow her to attend public school. She has to settle for finishing her education through homeschooling, but hopefully this year she'd be able to take her SAT. She isn't even allowed to have a phone and all her actions are monitored closely by her very strict parents. But despite the shadow of her past mistake, her life is finally beginning to fall into place... until he shows up at the Dreamcatcher's Dance Academy... Benjamin Castillo aka Blitz Craven, playboy, womanizer, man-whore extraordinaire, and star of his very own reality TV dance show Dance Blitz. He's only at Dreamcatcher's to garner some good publicity, repair his damaged reputation, get his career back on track, and reclaim his show. But with one kiss and one simple dance, everything changes in the blink of an eye. He says he wants her, but does he really care for her? He claims he wants her to be with him, but does he love her? Why would a handsome celebrity like Blitz with a reputation for being quite a Don Juan with the ladies want someone like her, a sheltered and very plain naive nineteen-year-old woman with no worldly experience, who is slowly being suffocated by her restrictive overbearing parents? A man like Blitz Craven could have any woman he desired, and has, so is this just another ploy to add her name to his long list of conquests and public indiscretions? Can Livia afford to trust Blitz with her heart? But more importantly, can she trust him with her secret? We'll see!
The Enemy (Book 2): Our story for The Enemy resumes shortly after Livia's dramatic rescue of Blitz on the live season finale of Dance Blitz. Livia sacrificed much to save Blitz from himself, but it appears the lovestruck couple may have weathered the storm and will finally get their happy ending... until Livia's past comes back to haunt her. A ghost from Livia's former life makes an unexpected and very unwelcome appearance, wreaking havoc and revealing long-buried secrets and sadly, it may cost her everything, including her happy new life and the people she loves most. Will Blitz stand by Livia once he knows her darkest secret? We'll see! Better get a box of tissues, folks; this one is a real tearjerker as Knight finally reveals Livia's darkest secret.
The Wicked(Book 3): Dancing at Dreamcatcher's and teaching the wheelchair ballerinas has been a dream come true for Livia Mason, especially now that she has the handsome Benjamin Castello aka Blitz Craven by her side. But just when Blitz and Livia think they have a chance at a normal life, the mean girls descend on the happy couple, determined to exact their revenge for not being chosen in the season finale, and they want payback against BLitz and Livia. They're demanding a dance-off rematch but is sweet, newbie ballerina Livia up to the challenge. Will she fight for her man?
The Tempest(Book 4): Livia has been thrust into a new life -a very public life where enemies are plentiful, friends few, and secrets are fodder for the masses. In six short months, shy Livia Mason has undergone quite a metamorphosis, leaving the safety of her cocoon and morphing into a beautiful butterfly. She's gained fame, fortune, her freedom, and the love of a man adored by millions of fans, reality dance star Blitz Craven. But she's also lost much - her home, family, church, friends, and when her secret is revealed, she loses even more including her coveted position at Dreamcatcher's, and most grievous of all, access to the daughter she was forced to give up at age fifteen. When Livia is offered the chance to dance as a professional ballerina with a small ballet troupe on tour, she must decide what she truly wants for her future. Will her glamorous new life be enough to ease the ache in her heart or will she fight to keep her life with Blitz and reclaim everything she's lost?
The Husband(Book 5 Exclusive to this Set): No spoilers from me, but let's just say there's still no smooth sailing for our lovebirds with Blitz's contract to Dance Blitz still hanging over their heads, especially when jealous enemies refuse to let the couple bask in the happiness of their love. And let's just say they'll do anything to get their revenge. Oh my! Can Blitz and Livia's love survive the spotlight and get their happy ending? We'll see!
Did I like this book? No, I loved it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! I've already ordered the remaining books in this series. And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I snickered, snorted, snuffled, sniffed and sobbed throughout the entire book but by the end, I was happy, satisfied and well entertained! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
The Stranger (Book 1) I enjoyed this Cinderella-esque story between two seemingly different people, but it turns out they individually suffered through bad judgement that lead to shame and embarrassment. Our heroine, Livia, made an mistake in her teens which caused her family to uproot and move in order to get a fresh start. However, to try and ensure she didn't make any more mistakes, her parents essentially kept her on a very short leash, limiting her exposure to any type of media or the opposite sex! Although she could have easily accessed the internet, I think it was her self-guilt that also kept her in her "gilded cage".
Our Hero, Blitz Craven (aka Benjamin Castillo), also suffers through a bad error in judgement, and tries to rebuild his public persona by returning home to San Antonio to work with different charities. He meets Livia at a dance studio where she's allowed to learn ballet since there are no straight men there...until Blitz arrives. Because she doesn't know his Hollywood persona, Blitz can relax and the two form a deep friendship which leads to sweet romance. I really liked the interaction between Livia and Blitz, though I wish she would have called him Benjamin, the way his close friends and family did. With Blitz, Livia starts to see a possible future where she's free to live her life by her choices, and not her dad's.
This story ends with a crazy HFN, but it also ends with an opening for the next book, which should shed some light on Livia's past transgression and how it impacts her future. Can't wait!
The Enemy (Book 2) The Enemy continues the love story between Livia and Blitz, our former reality tv dancing sensation hero. With Blitz's love and support, Livia has broken free of the house arrest her parents have had her in for the past 5 years, after learning she got pregnant. In this story, we find out who the baby daddy is, the story of how they met, and why their relationship should have been taboo. After finding out Livia was no longer innocent, her father forced the baby daddy out of her life, and he had no idea he was a dad, until he tracked Livia down after she appeared on television.
I really enjoyed this second book and seeing how Livia and Blitz's romance continued to grow, and how protective he was for not only LIvia but her daughter as well. Because her ex wanted to find their child, he also threatened Livia's ability to interact with her daughter since the adoptive mother is unaware of the deeper relationship LIvia shares to her daughter. I can't wait to see how the entire story wraps up!
The Wicked (Book 3) In this next installment in the love story between Livia and Blitz I knew something or someone would come along and burst their happy bubble. This time, we have the "cast of characters" from Blitz's former reality tv dancing/dating show. In true Hollywood fashion, investors and producers know they can prolong the popularity of Dance Blitz (and make more money) by bringing back the scorned finalists and "offering" Blitz the chance to choose one of the finalists, instead of staying with Livia. Blitz (and Livia) fight their manipulating ways by bringing Livia in as the fourth contestant, and hoping that the viewers will choose their true love story rather than the manufactured Hollywood version.
Through Blitz's explanations we see how reality tv shows are "scripted" to influence viewers' perception of the cast. Livia must fight these perceptions, fight her fears, fight for their love, and struggle to trust as she's thrust fully into Hollywood's spotlight and all the dangerous gameplay that occurs.
The Tempest (Book 4) Livia finally gets to spread her own wings to fly, or rather, dance! Her once very sheltered life has done a complete 180 degrees as Blitz's reality tv star's girlfriend. Although she's still a relative student in ballet, an opportunity surfaces which allows Livia to pursue her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. She's aware they want to use her reality tv exposure to gain publicity for the traveling show, and she has choices to make since the rehearsals for the show and the performances will separate her from Blitz for the first time in their relationship.
When the world finds out she has a secret daughter, and Gwen, the adoptive mother realizes Livia has been teaching her daughter ballet, Livia is forced to stay away. Livia chooses to join the ballet show and stays with the "rank and file" rather than accept the perks the producers are willing to grant her because of her "celebrity" status.
I truly enjoyed seeing how Livia matured both as a dancer and as an adult overcoming her fear of being on her own. She made several hard, but wise decisions which showed her inner strength. In this story, we finally start to see people from her past opening up, accepting, and celebrating the person she's becoming. Heartwarming and brought tears to my eyes....
The Husband (Book 5) After reading the 4th book, I thought Blitz and Livia would finally have their sweet and "normal" HEA. But this series is all about Dance Blitz, and the contractual obligations that continue to plague Blitz and Livia. The producers of the show want to ride the Blitz and Livia romance train to the end so they continue to manipulate our poor couple in order to keep the show's audience engaged. Will Blitz an Livia ever be free of their interference? Read this last book to find out!
BOOK 1: THE STRANGER This was a beautiful and heartwarming love story that I fell head over heels for. I enjoyed this book so much I read it in one day, I just couldn't put it down. I am a JJ Knight fan and she did not disappoint with this book. Looking forward to the next book and what happens in Livia and Blitz's blooming relationship.
BOOK 2: THE ENEMY WOW.... definitely did not see that coming! You NEED to read this book it will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat with the turn of events that happen through out this book. Now time to wait impatiently for the next book because JJ Knight does not disappoint and I'm ready for the next leap into Wicked!
BOOK 3: THE WICKED I am loving this series and like the previous books this one did not disappoint! There was plenty of drama, frustration and sexiness. Blitz and Livia pull you in each time with their beautiful story and the craziness that comes with it. Definitely looking forward to the next book.
BOOK 4: THE TEMPEST I love this series and this book is one of my favorites so far! This story was about Livia finding herself and learning to stand on her own two feet without Blitz. It was inspiring to see Livia realize that she holds the power to make the changes in her life, to be who she wants, to live her dreams and play by her own rules. So beautiful to see Blitz take a step back from the limelight to support Livia, to be her comfort, the person to lean on but encourage her to meet new friends, to be normal as much as she could while chasing her dream. This ending had all the feels so excited to see what the future holds for Livia and Blitz!
BONUS BOOK 5: THE HUSBAND Wow, such a perfect conclusion to a crazy, heartwarming beautiful story, This read had a little bit of everything..... drama, laughs, romance and all the craziness. Blitz and Livia's story once again sucked me in from the very beginning until the very end and I just couldn't put it down. I will definitely miss this couple and so will you once you grab this book and read this amazing ending to their story! Thank you JJ Knight for such a great series and one crazy ride!
The Blitzed series is a fun and funny romance, filled with surprising plot twists, emotional drama, and sensual imagery. This was the first story I read from this author, and I was enchanted from the very first page. The language drew me in, and I quickly felt like I understood and could relate to our main character, Livia, despite the fact that her life experiences are very different from my own. And I was just as charmed by Blitz as his many fans were. The combination of dance and romance worked very well here.
Each volume is a well-written, quick-paced story filled with sensual imagery that draws you into the story. Most of the characters are people I'd like to know, and the romance is very sweet. Not only did I enjoy watching Blitz and Livia's relationship develop, but I also loved watching Livia's growth as a person and as a dancer. I laughed and cheered when she had her diva moment! By the time we reach the end of "The Husband," the short novel that's exclusive to this collection, Livia and Blitz are living life on their own terms, and we have a very sweet and satisfying conclusion to their story.
In addition to the five stories about Livia and Blitz, this collection also includes a bonus short story called "Second Dance," which is a sweet, clean, but very sensuous story about how two of Livia's friends from the Dreamcatcher Dance Academy meet and begin to fall in love.
I didn't notice any formatting or editorial problems distracting from the story. There's minimal violence, a bit of profanity (I didn't feel this was overdone), and some sex scenes that might be a bit too explicit for some readers, but I didn't think it was too much.
I definitely recommend this collection for fans of contemporary romance.
Blitz Craven is a reality show dance sensation and outlandish manwhore, supposedly seeking his partner both in dance and in life for two seasons. Livia Mays is a totally sheltered and ridiculously overprotected young woman, still being punished by her parents at 19 for prior teenage indiscretions. The only social break she is permitted is ballet lessons and assisting the dance instructor for a class of physically handicapped preschoolers, allowing her only contact with the daughter she was forced to relinquish at 15.
Blitz has been banished from the L.A. scene due to an outrageous Tweet he sent about one of the reality show hopefuls,, which he thought was only to his best friend but somehow went public and viral. He is trying to make amends and save his show when he ends up at the dance school, Dreamcatchers, and meets Livia.
And the rest is the 5 books that make this story. From the good to the bad, the sweet to the vicious, and everything in between, Blitz and Livia's lives apart and together test their budding relationship. I was, yet again, wishing that Amazon would revise their recommendations options to allow for 1/2 stars. But since they don't and the author was able to keep the storylines strong through the entire set of books, it got 5.
I purchased and reviewed each of the books in this series individually as they were released. I enjoyed all of them but was disappointed when there was no final book giving Olivia and Blitz their HEA. Now JJ Knight has corrected that and this boxed set includes the final book for these two lovers – The Husband.
I enjoyed of the individual books but really loved how book 5 wrapped up the series. But it wasn't wrapped up with a neat little bow right away. In keeping with the other Blitzed books, JJ Knight kept things hopping and interesting for Blitz and Livia. Some of the not-so-nice characters from early on in the series made an appearance and there was a surprise bad guy revealed that I didn't see coming.
While I enjoyed some of the stories in the series more than others, overall I loved it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
These books follow Livia and Blitz's journey through the beginnings of their relationship, the drama of reality tv and Hollywood, and finding their place together in the world.
There's definitely some drama but the connection between Livia and Blitz never wavers. From the first book to the last, I was glued to their story and while the ending was perfect, I would be completely happy to never see an end to the Blitz Series!
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
I had read and purchased these earlier, before they were reissued under the new names. They are all good reads. I do not know much about dance, these gave me a little insight. There is romance, drama and steam woven together in a sweet read. The great thing about this new version of the books are, of course, that you get all the books together plus the bonus novella “The Husband” to wrap up the series with a sweet bow.
Once I started this I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed reading about Livia and Blitz. I was heartbroken about the way we learned about Livia’s upbringing. I was happy about the way the two met and how Livia started to live for herself. They became close real fast and they knew what the other would do just by looking at one another. They had to deal with some trivial things but were able to work through them. I was glad they had a happy ending.
This is a wonderful series. I loved it very much and would recommend it.
The Stranger (Book 1)
This was the first book I read of JJ Knight's. At the beginning of the book I had mixed emotions but the further I got into the book I found myself actually liking it. I read a lot of the other reviews and noticed that a lot of people are put off by the fact that the main character is 19 and she just doesn't leave. I can see where these people are coming from but I can also put myself in the character's shoes and see where she is coming from too. I've known people that have gone through similar situations. Guilt and fear can be very powerful emotions. Enough so that they can keep a person from making decisions or taking actions that might be obvious or easy to others.
The Enemy (Book 2)
I absolutely enjoyed this book. From the moment I started reading I was sucked into Livia and Blitz's world. At times I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. I was happy for Livia and Blitz. Then I was sad for the things in the past that Livia had to relive. At times I felt bad for the baby daddy and then others I was just plain angry with him. I love the chemistry between Livia and Blitz. Their personalities complement each other. Reading about the things they've been through in this book makes me believe that they'll have a strong relationship that'll last through the good and bad.
The Wicked (Book 3)
I was so anxious to see what happened next in Livia and Blitz's story. I was definitely not disappointed. I loved Livia's character before and now after reading The Wicked I love her character so much more. She proved to be not only a lot stronger than what everyone believed her to be but also very clever too. Blitz and Livia are great together! They show the world that no matter what drama and craziness gets thrown their way they will overcome it together. That they belong together and love is worth fighting for.
The Tempest (Book 4)
JJ Knight succeeded in writing another beautiful story about hardship, pain, strength, determination and most of all Love. I think this was my favorite book out of the series, though I loved them all. I loved seeing Livia grow as a person and come into here own. Seeing her on her own and making a name for herself in a world she's not completely familiar with was pretty awesome. Blitz is such a sweet, caring man who stands by her side while Livia coupes with the lost of seeing her daughter. He promotes Livia as she follows her dreams and figures out what she wants in life. It was a very touching story. I can't wait to read the next book.
