Guns! Glory! Action! From Mark Baugher, the bestselling author of “Cimarron Frost, Bounty Hunter,” comes the sequel to his big Western hit, “C-Bar: A Western Saga.” Action, adventure and gun-smarts come in many forms. For Baugher, it comes in the form of his ability to write Westerns—a Western he knows how to write better than almost anyone else.
I’m Chris Babb. Let me continue to tell you about my life, living with the Barnetts on the C-Bar Ranch, my favorite place on Earth.
Life was settling down at the C-Bar. My adopted daughter, Liz, continues to be more comfortable. Right now, I am looking at something that might be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Little Liz is completely mesmerized with my cousin, Jessie Lynn. Liz and I got to the house for dinner, arriving before JL. She was playing with Dez and Mac and having fun like only little girls can do. JL walked in. Little Liz stopped and stared. Didn’t move—just stood there, staring.
A Note From The Author
If you’ve seen the C-Bar movie, you’ll recognize it derives from a part of this novel. However, by reading this volume, you will learn much more about the family at the C-Bar Ranch. A movie and a novel are very different. A movie shows a story, while a novel tells a story. I have always heard that a movie is never as good as the book it came from. I think that depends upon whether you want an adventure at a fast pace or a novel that intimately unfolds a story. I hope you enjoy this work as much as I enjoyed writing it.
A MB /RH/ DW/POT Western Adventure (TCBASB - 4) The Future is Just Ahead
MB. has. penned the fourth adventure novel of the C-Bar family clan. MB. has told the fourth novel in the second, third, forth and sometimes fifth story line. MB. is a master at writing the current story from the position of a person on the sidelines who was one of the people at the event who had a personal opinion. The storyline is forward and the sidesteps are the way the episodes occurred from that person point of view, which makes exciting reading even when you have to re-read what you just read. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
This should have been a five star. I've never read a western that is just plain funny and entertaining along with telling a very good story. But this series tops them all. I could do without the language. My mother-in-law always said if you had a good education you should have a goo enough vocabulary that doesn't require cussing. In this case what little education they do have is in crude language. I'm trying to look past it and enjoy the story and plot.
