Looking for a family she never knew… She finds a love she never expected.
For Kinsey Landon, learning that she has three brothers was the shock of a lifetime. Finding out her brothers are the owners of the biker bar took shock to a whole new level. She goes to Aces & Eights, and deciding against introductions, Kinsey leaves—but not before locking eyes with a man so sexy he could make a saint want to sin. When he shows up at Kinsey’s job and invites her to lunch, she sees it as an opportunity to learn about her brothers, not to mention spending time with a handsome man. But there’s more than good looks to Rand. A sadness so deep, she’s not sure anything can heal him. Not even love.
FBI agent Rand Stevens is outside his comfort zone. Undercover as a hard-living biker who co-owns the bar is testing his acting skills. But pretending he’s not attracted to the Gentry brothers’ kid sister will earn him an Academy Award…if he could ignore the attraction. The heat between Rand and Kinsey is explosive but Rand doesn’t want a relationship. The breakup of his marriage hurt, but the death of his little girl left him broken, and he won’t risk heartbreak again. Even though Kinsey makes him feel alive again, he ignores his feelings for her…until the unthinkable happens. Now Rand only has one chance to save Kinsey…before it’s too late.

Queen of Diamonds is the 4th and final instalment in Ms. Owens Aces and Eights series. The long awaited family reunion between the Gentry brother's, and their long lost baby sister, Kinsey, they never knew about was so worth the long wait. Kinsey (and Gentry brother's fellow FBI Agent, Rand Steven's) story wraps up the Aces and Eights series perfectly. With the perfect amount of family and romantic love story. One of those good tear jerkers. I love when an author can make me cry. With some surprises for fans of the series at the end. I loved Rand's back story. Also some LOL moments. A quick easy read, because you won't want to put it down. My one and only complaint? It's the end of the Aces and Eights series.
Queen of Diamonds was a fantastic story bringing closure to an amazing series. I believe the author tied everything together very well. Kinsey was the key to a mystery set many years ago for the Gentry family. She is spunky and her brothers are in for a rude awakening. She is also the means for healing a special someone’s heart. This book had me in tears, some heart wrenching and others of pure happiness. I fell in love with Kinsey and Rand. They compliment each other in every way possible. I hate to see the series end and I’ll miss them all. I don’t think you will be disappointed with this series but that is just my opinion. Looking forward to reading Sandra Owens next book.
What an amazing ending to this fabulous series, the feels, the emotions - I smiled, chuckled, sighed, swooned, and had the tears were in my eyes more times then I am comfortable to admit. The Gentry brothers won my heart over through the series. They are charming, commanding, and tough as nails, with cream puff hearts, who fight for the justice, protect what is theirs, and love fiercely and forever ones they give their hearts away. They had found their places in the life, only two things missing, the sister they found about recently, and the mother who left them with their nightmarish father. Kinsey Landon is looking for her long-lost brothers, and while at it, she finds Rand Stevens, the broken-hearted FBI agent who just does not fit in the biker bar he says he owns. Kinsey and Rand have an instant, burning attraction, that they both admit to and a bit surprisingly for Rand, are willing to act upon. Rand's broken heart after his little daughter passed away, the divorce that followed, and the ways he was trying to dull the pain, has made him swear off relationships. He is not ready to risk his heart, to feel any emotions, to open up just to have his heart ribbed in pieces again. But Kinsey has that spark that pulls him out of the darkness he has lived in for the past year, brings sunshine and smiles back to his life, and makes him think there might be a brighter future for him as well if he dares to be vulnerable and take the leap of faith with Kinsey. I loved Kinsey and Rand, they were just perfect together, there was the spark, the connection, they got each other, they were comfortable with each other, they had trust, passion, same interests, and when Rand started to woo her, he got me at the same time. Swoon-worthy doesn't even begin to describe it as he rocked the seduction of the mind, body, and soul with his tenderness, caring, loving affection, protectiveness, and take charge attitude, and wanting to make Kinsey happy, and being willing to stand up for the wall of big brothers who suddenly realize their friend was part of their newfound baby sister's life. But the tale is not just the reunion of the siblings and finding your soul mate. There are things happening in Kinsey's life that put her in dire danger, where she will need all the protection and connections of her family and friends to survive. When you take the sorrow of losing your mom, losing your child, the joy of finding your lost sibling(s), the jubilee of falling in love, and losing everything you have accomplished in life because of someone else's crimes, you can get an idea of the depth and variety of the feels and emotions you go through as you read the story. And when you get to the epilogue that is told through Nate's eyes (in third person POV) looking at the family in whole, and where they are then... Get a box of tissues and get ready to for an update on the Gentry brothers, and see what a diamond of a lady their little sister truly is, live through some dangerous and fear filled moments with her, and witness the most swoony, romantic, heartfelt, finding your soul mate story that will melt your heart. Absolutely a stunning ending to a series, so perfectly done, wrapping up and pulling together all four siblings stories in a heartfelt and ardent tale. Oh my word, my heart is full! ~ Five Spoons!
Wow!! I absolutely loved this book!! Sandra Owen's never fails to deliver! It's an excellent conclusion, to an awesome series! It's a touching, funny, romantic & intriguing story Kinsey finds a letter from her late mother. Extremely shocked by what she reads. Her mother had another family. Kinsey has felt alone & misses her Mom. She finds out that her three brothers are bikers. Hesitate, does she really want to meet them. Rand is posing as one of the owners of Aces and Eights biker bar. He's undercover for the Gentry brothers. Rand doesn't think his heart will ever heal, after losing the most important person in the world to him. That is, till Kinsey walks into his bar. There was something about Kinsey, that drew Rand to her. She is inquiring about the now "former" owners of the bar. It sent up a red flag to him and he needs to learn more about her, for the brothers & himself. The emotions, the humor & their chemistry pulled me in, & kept me hooked. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE!!!
Five enthusiast stars for Queen of Diamonds. You won't be able to put this book down.
You'll love this final book in Sandra Owens' Aces & Eights series about three brothers who are undercover FBI agents.
Queen of Diamonds focuses on Kinsey, a college student who finds out she has three brothers. She eventually tracks them down and they immediately start taking over her life.. in a good way.
You'll love catching up with Alex, Court and Nate and their families. The romance between Rand and Kinsey is not without issues but ends with a happily ever after for all the Gentrys.
It's a must read book that'll have you smiling throughout.
Finally after teasers in the three previous books in the Aces & Eights series we get to meet Kinsey. What a way to wrap up the series as she finds the brothers she didn't realize she had, and Rand is able to put his past to rest and move on. Along the way there is angst, humor, overprotective big brothers, and a chance to revisit with beloved characters from the previous books.
Simply perfect ending to a amazing series! The hilarious sibling rivalry. The antics. “Dude”! Lol. Combined with the extreme sensitivity for a lost parent and child. Sandra writes a wonderful balance of the humor, angst, anxiety with unbridled passion in this book. A perfect ending!
This is the end off you have enjoyed the other books you will enjoy this one i an sad to see it end but there is no where else for it to go. I recommend not o my third book but the entire aces and sights series i hope you enjoy it as much as I did
Queen of Diamonds is the final book in Sandra Owen’s Aces & Eights series. As a big fan of this series, I was so looking forward to Kinsey’s story and Sandra gave us a wonderful ending!
Kinsley Landon has recently found out that she has 3 brothers her mother never told her about. After losing her mother, she finds a letter left behind for her. She can’t believe she’s not alone in the world and that she has more family. She sets out to find them even though she’s a little concerned when she finds out they own a biker bar. But Kinsey doesn’t let that stop her. In the past books featuring the three Gentry brothers, we’ve gotten teasers about her and their quest to find their other sibling.
Kinsey ends up finding them first, but not before she meets Rand Stevens, the new co-owner of the biker bar. There’s instant attraction between these two and more, but Rand is still dealing with the loss of his daughter and hasn't allowed himself to move forward in his life. He’s also an FBI agent and working undercover at the bar. When he finds out his boss and fellow FBI agents are her brothers, well…that might just complicate things further.
This story warmed my heart. The scenes with her brothers were great to read. The love between the family is strong and it was great to revisit the brothers and their wives. I was also rooting for Kinsey and Rand from the very beginning. Kinsey was very good for Rand and helping him through some pretty difficult times and I loved the chemistry between them.
Queen of Diamonds was filled with love, laughter, family and touched on some difficult subjects as well. Sandra Owens gave us a great ending to an awesome series.
**I received an ARC in exchange in for an honest review**
I pounced on Queen of Diamonds when Owens released an early copy to me. I even gave up Disneyland fireworks to start reading! I've been with this series since Jack of Hearts released and have wanted to know Kinsey's story since Owens revealed her to the brothers.
Kinsey learned about her brothers' existence after her mother died, the same mother that the brothers hardly knew. After a year of debating with herself, she gets up the nerve to go to the biker bar that the brothers no longer own. There, she meets undercover agent Rand Stevens. He knows that she is the sister of his friends, but doesn't tell them right away. She doesn't know how to reach them since they aren't at the bar any longer. At this point, I was petrified that the book would turn into a big secret identity plot and a series of hit and miss meetings, but Sandra Owens does not let down a reader! She expertly avoids that cliche' story and gives the reader one that satisfies. The family reunion was as special as I hoped, and there "may" have been a few tears choked back while I was reading.
I don't want to spoil too many plot points, but greatly I enjoyed seeing the brothers acting like...well, like brothers do. "Found family" stories grip my emotions and Owens gives us one that is perfectly written. Seeing the mother from the perspective of someone who loved her was sweet, and watching the boys find forgiveness in their hearts was even sweeter. Rand is a good addition to the series and I cheered for him as he overcame his own tremendous loss. Rand and Kinsey have great chemistry together and their story felt very natural. Buy without hesitation! This is a solid ending for the series.
This is the final book in the Aces & Eights series and tells Kinsey's story.
For all of you who have been following this series, you'll know we received small teasers at the end of each of the boys' books about Kinsey and I for one couldn't wait to read her story. It does not disappoint. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. There's tears and laughter, a difficult topic dealt with sympathetically and compassionately, the usual over protectiveness of the Gentry brothers - especially now that it comes to their 'Baby Sister' and just a lovely way to wrap up this series. The chemistry between Kinsey and Rand jumps off the page and they are just so good together. I honestly couldn't put it down and couldn't wait to get home from work the next day to finish it. There's a lovely epilogue with all four siblings together and it was great to just get a wee catch-up on the boys and their families, though it was sad to say goodbye.
I cannot recommend this series highly enough and along with Sandra's K2 series (a must read) and her historical fiction (Training of a Marquess is excellent), you will have found an author you'll follow for life. Five of the biggest stars Sandra!!
This talented author, once again, captures the hearts of her readers with this story. This book is not only about Kinsey, the sister the Gentry brothers never knew they had, nor only about FBI agent Rand Stevens, the man that has suffered a devastated loss, and is just living day by day. While most will give you a summary of the plot , I will go another way. This story wraps up the previous books. How three young and abused boys, overcame their childhood to become honorable men. About the strong women they married. It’s a story that reminds me of St Francis’s prayer. It’s a story of finding joy where there was sadness, light where there was darkness, hope where there was despair and above all, how love helps to overcome everything. At times heartbreaking but also a heartwarming and heartfelt story. A beautiful conclusion to this wonderful series. The “boys” will be missed but not forgotten. Kudos to this talented author for another winner. I voluntarily read this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This story is so entertaining and wonderfully written. I will miss the badass but loveable Gentry’s and their spouses. What a brilliant conclusion to this series. I could not put the book down. Read it in one day. Absolutely brilliant! A feel good story full of kinship, camaraderie, loyalty, passion and love. Kinsey is a perfect fit to the Gentry siblings. I love her strong spirit, and her caring nature. Rand and Kinsey have amazing chemistry together and are a perfect couple in my eyes. Loved them together. This story touched my heart and I shed many tears throughout because of the brilliantly written emotional scenes. Sandra’s writing is always enjoyable because the story flows so well, the characters are charismatic and emotions are easily conjured. I easily felt Kinseys nerves at the first meeting with her bros, shed many tears in the scenes about Zoe or laughed out loud with Alex and his cheeky antics. All of it is so much fun. This book and the whole Ace and Eights series is highly recommended. I cannot wait to read more from Sandra.
I received a copy of Queen of Diamonds in exchange for an honest review. I am a fan of this series and this author and have read many of her books on KU. The stories are interesting and have some suspense, but are really more about the relationships of the characters. Besides the relationship between the main characters, this story explored the whole family and ended the series by answering all the questions from the end of each of the prior books.
This is the story of Rand and the Queen of Diamonds, Kinsey. She is the sister that the other characters learned about gradually throughout the series. It was a good story and their relationship started with an instant attraction. The author also took on a #METOO story line that was really great to see. It handled the issue in a way that was both true to the characters in the series, yet showed it in a real life situation. Overall, a great ending to a great series!!
A good closing to the Gentry brothers series. Their long-lost sister has been found - and she did the finding. Kinsey Landon grew up thinking she had a wonderful man as her father. Not until her mother passes away does she find the truth - she is the full sister to the Gentrys and their abusive father is her father too.
When she finds that they own a biker bar, she's not sure she wants to meet them. She meets the current "man in charge" of Aces and Eights, Rand Stevens and every love-at-first-sight cliche happens to them. They hide it though, until he goes to the store where she works and finds he wasn't alone in the attraction. When Rand learns that she is the Gentry brothers' sister, he reacts badly. But he does tell the brothers and they immediately want to meet her.
There's a romance, a threat and a very happy ending here, and a nice close to the series. You can tell it's a good ending if you actually want more books in the series.
Favorite book in the Aces and Eights series. And I will admit I did cry and time or two. Loved everyone in the story. Well, with the exception of Sebastian, he was an absolute POS!
I loved the love and romance that was all Kinsey and Rand. It was perfect. And the story was just enough of that and a little bit of mystery and Kinsey’s being hurt and every brother AND Rand wanting to kill Sebastian.
I’m sad to see this series end.
There was graphic sex and the F-bomb was used 8 times.
As to the narration: Amy McFadden was awesome with her voices and emotions when she read. Brian Pallino has a good reading voice and does great men’s voices but, unfortunately, he’s like Sebastian York, who narrated the other 3 books, and his women’s voices really suck. BUT better a woman with a deep voice than a man that sounds like a girl.
I’m heartbroken. I’m having to say goodbye to my Gentry boys. But the series ended beautifully. They found their sister. Or should I say she found them? The instant acceptance, love and protectiveness for her made my heart happy. But I expected nothing less from these amazing men. The author continues to amaze me with her depth of characters and great storytelling. I’m always instantly swept into the world she created and have no desire to leave. Even though this was a novella, nothing felt rushed or left out. The romance built at a great pace and wrapped up perfectly. And that prologue! ❤️❤️. Many thanks to author Sandra Owens for such a wonderful series. Can’t wait to see where she takes us next!
I borrowed Queen of Diamonds from the Kindle Unlimited program.
Kinsey Landon finds her brothers in Queen of Diamonds after visiting their biker bar, 'Aces & Eights'; she sees Rand Stevens for the first time and feels an instant connection. With the help of FBI Special Agent Rand Stevens she meets her brothers and their families.
Queen of Diamonds has a fun element with all the children in her brother's families. A serious element in how Kinsey helps Rand learn to see he can be happy again after the death of his daughter and an element of danger when Kinsey becomes the target of sexual predator.
Queen of Diamonds had a perfect ending with all the Gentry sibling finding happiness and Rosie and Spider making a new couple was just cute and perfect to end the series.
Every story needs the perfect ending and the Gentry brothers are no exception. Queen of Diamonds, Kinsey and Rand’s story, as well as the closure that was so important for those of us following the Gentry brothers fills a quintessential need Sandra’s readers were clamoring for. This novel doesn’t have the typical spine tingling suspense that the other books have, but tells the story we all were hoping for in a sweet and charming manner. For all the readers who have been following the adventures of the brothers, this ties up all those lose ends and makes everyone sigh with relief that all’s well that ends well. A must read for fans of the series.
This is a fantastic ending to a great series. Although this book is a little shorter than the others, I actually think I liked this one the best. I really liked Kinsey and thought she was well developed, especially with the epilogues in the other books in the series. Ms. Owens did a wonderful job of developing the relationship between Kinsey and her brothers too. There was just enough suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat and just enough developing romance to keep me interested. Ms. Owens keeps getting better and better. I highly recommend this book.
A terrific finale to the Aces & Eights series. This story is about Kinsey, the Gentry brothers’ younger sister. Throughout the brothers’ books, we’ve gotten glimpses of Kinsey – the sister they just discovered. This book completes the Gentry saga, gives Kinsey her HEA, and catches us up on the lives of the brothers and their families. Oh, and there’s a bit of suspense thrown in for good measure. Kinsey is a strong woman, not afraid to tell her over-protective brothers to back off. Her relationship with Rand Stevens (another FBI agent) has its ups and downs, but the two are definitely better together than apart. Definitely a satisfying conclusion to the series.
I didnt expect much from this book, knowing it was the 4th and final. Sandra's did a great job incorporating Kenzi into Gentry's life and as a fan of the series it was great to read throughout more about the characters from previous books in the series.
Rand and Kenzie though had no chemistry. Everything seamed too easy or rushed. I think the book should not have been a romance and should of focused on Kenzie and her family with Rand as an aside.
Worth reading if you are a fan, but dont expect fireworks.
The fourth book in the Aces and Eights series was worth waiting for
Sandra Owens continues to give her readers compelling characters and stories that touch the heart. Ever since it was revealed in Alex's book that the Gentry brothers had a long lost sister, this reader was eager to meet her. Kinsey is a perfect for into the Gentry family and Rand is her perfect match. A great read and a wonderful end to a charming series.
So happy with the whole series. Each book just got better and better. Just hated to see it end. Maybe we can see the Aces and Eights crew again, PLEASE! Maybe there was something there between Me Stevens bodyguard and Rand's setup date??? Love Sandra Owens writing style. Can't wait for more.
What an incredible book!!! Have Loved this whole series and ending it with Kinsey - the missing sister was simply perfect. Kinsey is the female version of the kick ass Gentry brothers and fit right into the groove opened up for her. And Rand, with all his emotional past history, was the most lovable character of all. And the Gentry brothers with their bro code - too funny. So happy to see all the previous family back together. Amazing Epilogue to wrap it all up. I so hate to see it end. Looking forward to Sandra Owens new Blue Ridge Valley series.
Kinsey and Rand. I almost Didn’t read this one because I didn’t think I’d be interested in Kinsey’s story. I’m glad I did. It was a cute read. They fell in love way too quickly but hey, it’s a romance book. I was happy that there wasn’t too much angst and go right to the point. It was super quick and easy to read.
Holy cow! What a way to finish off a series! I absolutely loved this book. Rand & Kinsey are such a great couple & their story was so touching. It’s hard to put into words all the feels this book has.
What a way to wrap up the story when the long lost sister is introduced to her brothers and has she found her true love? Need some tissues with this book along with laughter.
An exciting contemporary romance with a new sister appearing for the Gentry brothers who is welcomed with open arms. Fellow FBI agent Rand Stevens is very attracted to Kinsey, new Gentry sibling. He has heartache to get past, she has a stalker.........full review on http://www.tbqsbookpalace.com.
