I read this book because I like the series and the plot was good. I enjoyed the fae and dragon combination. It would have been a fun read if the grammar and punctuation were not so bad. I mean it really needs to be edited badly. It took away from the book. I usually try not to judge those things but this novel was really short so I was not happy.
I really like the whole dragon clan premise and I admit I will read the next book because I am curious about what will happen next. I just hope the editing will be better. Although the cover was really nice.
A wolf pack sent the dragons a gift in restitution for the very bad act of one of their members. The gift was a little fae man who tells the dragons about the abuse his friend is enduring at the hands of the wolf leadership. The dragons decide to rescue the other fae with Donnell objecting because he knew and liked some of wolves in the pack so he doesn't go on the rescue. The wolves sell Will, the fae because he was dying anyway from them bleeding for the high they got from his blood. Back at the dragon lodge, they get a doctor that can help but it is when Donnell sees, smells and touches Will and realizes he is his mate that the real healing takes place. There is hurt over Donnell's original position and danger from the wolves who want Will back and the threat of war with the formal association of over 100 wolf packs, but our dragon/fae claiming is secure and we have our HEA. A great addition to the series.
Love this series! I have to say that I thought that the misunderstanding felt a bit forced since Donell had already apologized to Will for sympathizing with the wolves before knowing the full extent of their depravity.
Also, does the paranormal world not have gossip? What in the world about Clan Keith's history in the area would make the Fort Collins alpha think that he had a snowball's chance of surviving making enemies of them?
Donell was next to find his mate, however, he did nothing to save Will (a fae) when Will was being held captive and slowly being drained of his blood by a wolf pack. Later, Donell realized that Will was his mate. I loved them together and the strength of their bond. My favorite part was when Will was carried by Donell's dragon. I also loved the conclusion that had come for those terrible wolves. Great writing and imaginative story.
Fantastic story. It held interest with the confusion caused by Donell's belief in the wolves. Weird though that none of his dragons called him out on that. Donell maintaining that the wolves had a right to capture others was essential to the plot, but was a bit unbelievable. Surely he would have gone to confirm his idea.
Great Story now we have a fae in the mix, and still no mpreg as short as the stories are i don't th I k it would be that hard to start including some surprising pregnancies. I'm sure we'll be getting from the concordat and the next mate may be tied in with it.
Great as always can't wait for the next one . One of my favourite Authors . I don't even need to know what the book is about i just buy them now and have yet to be disappointed
I love elves almost as much as dragons. This story is a win win all around. The MC is going strong and the new mates are adorable. Wish the stories were longer... hope someone gets pregnant soon.
This one was one of the most emotional books of the series. Some spots so heartbreaking…. Wow. I cried in spots and cheered this couple on!! One of my favorites in this series. Well fraught for HEA.
So much fun! Dragins and Fae and wolves and vamps! Little bit of angst, lil bit of dangwr and a whole lot of great story that I can't wait for it to continue!
So... Question..... I thought one of the major reasons the dragon King sent the clan "out" was not only to give mates but to expand/grow/have little dragons???
I am enjoying this series and each individual installment continues to build on the big picture. We now have a fae mated to a dragon so their clan continues to grow.
