As someone who loves grammar, I picked up this gift book for myself at Barnes and Noble many years ago and finally got to reading it.

A great little review of some of the most confusing things in English grammar. As a grammar cop, I would buy this for my friends who struggle with grammar, as it is an easy and silly read. Learning grammar can be tedious and dry, but this book makes it light and fun.

My favorite part was the quiz at the end of the book because nothing makes me feel superior than correctly answering test questions related to grammar.

I had fun with this one!

My partner got this for me for Christmas. Needless to say, I needed it. I grew up in the FL education system and my parents were a wee bit lax. This has improved how I portray myself not only in my education but in my professional development as well. Not to mention I love its examples!

I will keep this in my little toolbox for future references.

This is a good primer written in a fairly relatable style. It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be from the title and the parts that were funny were very common examples. I answered 57 of the 60 questions correctly in the quiz near the back. All three questions that I missed involved it’s and its.

(I also read and reread this review looking for grammatical errors, but it’s still possible I made an error or two.)

Really loved that book.
I got this book to perfect my English as I am preparing for the TOEFL test and need to get the highest score possible in hope to get a scholarship.
This book is easy to read, very informative and explain the basic grammar in English.
Really loved the little section of grammar exercises at the end!

A very basic guide to grammar I picked up because of the title...

I would recommend this for people (students) who have a basic knowledge of the English language. I would not recommend this for people who are just starting to learn English or people seeking intense grammar instruction. I think some of my more driven 8th graders would gain something from this book.

I thought it was a good book to learn a little more about the grammar world. I didn’t really know much about the punctuation and this helped out a lot. I got it mostly to help with grammar for the SAT. I think it’ll help me in the long run too.
