Chaos is winning. The only hope for the people remains in founding a God of reason. And that requires the death of the old Gods of faith. Who will kill the old Gods? Who will stake the entire world in the pursuit of reason? Who will be the Godkiller? After years of darkness, an island of logic and intellect was born. Like warmth in the cold. How mighty can the dark before us be? Now, we have grown, from children we have become me. Now we must finally realize our cause! It is the only way for order to win over the chaos. On the peripheries of Civilization live a people used to hardships and pain. We are the Nation. They are too weak to live in the rules of nature and so they cower behind their city walls practicing their weak magic. The law of nature and elements is supreme. So far they have cowered and so have been saved. Now is the time to strike, before you become any stronger. Old wise eyes regard both these peoples silently. Separated from these peoples live the most ancient people of them all, the Tribes. The children learn to forge weapons in fire and think they are superior to us? The children come in funny clothes, wearing smells that announce them before they can be seen, and they tell us that they are progress? The arrogance of the young, to come and tell us that the land we live on is theirs because a paper says so? But we wait. Like so many before them, these children too think they are the chosen ones. We are one people. We always have been. But people have to fool themselves to believe they are unique, they are different. They cannot see how linked they are to each other, how necessary they are to each other. They just don’t see what they are part of...what they are the units of. I can, and so I can steer them, like great giant beasts in need of a shepherd. I am that Shepherd. I am their salvation. I am the Godkiller…

The Godkiller by Swayam Singh

My Ratings- 5/5 stars

I don’t know what to put it as blurb or introduction because the whole book and plot is so huge and each chapter is important and interesting so it might do injustice to the book. But I will try my best to give brief introduction and reviews. This is the book one of the series. The concept of the book is deep so before the beginning author has given the map which shows the different areas of tribes and different clans and also brief explanation of different civilisations, nations and tribes is given so we can read and understand the book in a better way.
Book starts with an old man met a young man who is the visitor. They both asked for each other’s introduction. But they both talked in a code language. Then story tuns into the past, the old man tells the story to that young man.
Aki who was about to deliver a child. In tribes if the mother dies during the childbirth it is said to be that child is a cursed one. That child is saved by a priest. People call it as serpent.
There are many number of characters so like Ekur, Jemukha, Suruchi.
The first book is also divided into parts. And I am eagerly waiting for the second part.
The struggle between civilisation, nation and tribes is tearing the world apart and old gods cannot hold them together so people are seeking the new gods that requires the death of the old Gods of faith. And the question is who will kill the old Gods? Who will be the Godkiller?

My take-
▶️It’s the most wonderful book I’ve came across by an Indian author till now.
▶️I wish I could give more than 5/5 stars.
Plot is unique and wonderfully written.
▶️This is definitely a masterpiece and best seller one.
▶️I know it’s stupid to compare this but if you loved GoT, LOTR and HP then definitely you will love this one.
▶️I am waiting to watch movies/series based on this book.
▶️Amazing plot, writing style. Concept.
▶️It’s difficult to write such type of fiction book with amazing details of the characters, environment, and concept of a civilisation.
▶️Hats off to the author.
❤️Must Must read!!

The God Killer – This title made me super inquisitive & interested in picking up this book to read. I am a fan of fat books & this book just got added to the list of my favorite books.

To start off, the cover of the book is bright yellow and black and is in perfect sync with what the story is all about. Swayam Singh has done a fabulous job through his narration & art of describing various scenes in the book.

The story is about ‘God Killer’ or otherwise called as ‘Stargazer’. The book describes his journey of life from a child to an adult. He was born against the wishes of the people because his birth could cause a danger to his mother, Aki’s life. He was abandoned from the tribe he belonged to and how he was saved by a hunter and then raised by a priest.

The narration and description of the protagonist’s life is spectacular. The concepts of individualisation, politics and tribes is something different from the usual books. The concept of Old Gods & New Gods is explained in a very subtle way without sounding diplomatic.

Every chapter is a gem and written in a very nice manner. The language and grammar is perfect. The characters are well described and fit perfectly in the story. This book is not everyone’s cup of tea. There is a lot of intellect involved and might not entertain a normal reader. The pace of the book is good but gets slow at certain points.

This book is a must read if you are looking for a different and unique style of story- telling. This is the first book in the series and I cannot wait for the next one to arrive. The only drawback of the book is the font size. It is too tiny and hurts the eyes. But this drawback is nothing in front of what the book has to offer to you.

Do NOT miss this book.

My ratings- 5 stars.

The Godkiller

There're certain books which really make your day or perhaps week based on what we read & imagine via it. And this book is certainly a good one based on all the hype so far. What's the best way to be happy? It's when the book which you had lot of expectations & it finally lives upto it's name & reputation.

Title is catchy, it's unique, sounds pleasing & interesting.
Cover is beautiful, designed well & lives upto the plot in hand.
Theme weaves around politics, gods, humans, crimes, philosophy, economics, murder, dreams, fantasy, family, history, genocides, engineering, relationships, hereditary, heritage, sustainability, suspense, traditional mindset, science, religion, civilisation, humanity & many other concepts & aspects blend in a wonderful way which connects to a different book.

I won't discuss or ponder about the details in hand, nor will I discuss the story here. All I would say is if you're a reader who looks for uniqueness in life & wish to learn something, then this is a must book for you to read.

Language is simple, vocabulary is awesome. Writing style is enhanced & satisfying. Narration is good, it satiates our hunger for more. A very good fantasy book to read.

Some books are so beautifully written that you have no words to express it.
My experience with this book was excellent. I love the story which was based on the life of protagonist, Stargazer who was astrophile. The plot setting was excellent. The book is written after lot of research and experiences.
It is well written  and worth reading book. There were many characters like manor, different groups of  tribe, Ekur and many more. The best thing I like about the book was that there was a guide to characters and there was some illustration also.
The cover of the book is nice and quite related to the theme of the story.

I would recommend this book to everyone living on this beautiful planet Earth.
P.S. Second part is also there.... but not yet revealed...

Book in two words : Worth reading, Page turning
