Roger and Steve are off to the prom and a night out together. While watching the stars traverse the desert sky, they stumble upon a horrific crime and are soon involved in danger and intrigue. The lives of openly gay high school students can be a whole lot better than they used to be, and a whole lot worse. They must uncover who is out to get them before they themselves become victims.
I have mixed feelings about this book. It was good to see Steve and Roger again. However, the 'preaching' went over the deep end in this one. The preaching got in the way of the plot. The conspiracy in the book was so involved and convoluted as to be not believable. There were several plot points I wanted to bring up. The answers may have been buried in the preaching. Probably they were left out to include the preaching. All the preaching will probably make me skip it if there is a 4th volume of this series. I buy books for enjoyment. I do not buy them to have the things that make me so depressed I turned off the TV news and turn on my reader.
