What have I done? I can't believe I've screwed up this badly. Okay. Calm down. Breathe in. Breathe out. I can fix this. I just need to get this accidental marriage annulled... before my husband finds out I'm pregnant with his baby.
Hot as sin. Richer than God. Notorious modelizer.
That's Luke Alder. The guy I see on TV the morning after my drunken adventure in Vegas, walking out of a wedding chapel... with me.
What a mess.
But at least the solution is obvious. I just need to get this marriage annulled. Easy, right?
Except I'm also pregnant. With Luke's baby. A stranger's baby. (I mean, technically he's my husband. But still.)
One problem at a time, though. I need to get Luke's signature on the annulment papers first. When we're no longer husband and wife, I'll tell him about the baby.
But then, as if I'm not already neck-deep in crap, I walk into my new office on my first day of work... and there he is. My husband. He has bought the company I work for, and now he's also my boss.
Lunch meetings. Business trips. How am I supposed to hide my pregnancy when he won't leave me alone?
His gaze blazes with red-hot need. His touch brands my skin with an unquenchable yearning. His voice, whispering all the right words, spreads desire like wildfire throughout my body.
He wants to claim me as his own. His possession. And if he keeps this up, I might just give in.
Accidental Husband is a standalone, full-length novel of approximately 50,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Includes bonus content!
Absolutely a well written sweet romance with lots of twists that makes you sit on the edge. It is engaging and have likeable characters. They are well described and develop nice through the story. I like the humor in the story. It is written with heart and the writing style is amazing. I was captivated from first to last chapter. Not the usual secret baby story and I liked that about it.
I never expected to say this, but… there’s too much spice and not enough plot. And having a baby immediately? I’m sure this is a five star for some people, but this wasn’t all that interesting to me.
I’m sorry but this wasn’t a keeper, and the only other book I’m interested in is her first husband’s,
Nikki Chase has done it again an awesome story loads of excitement and the steamy scenes wow the chemistry between Luke & Tessa was hot i loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Um it’s a mish-mosh of a story. Did not need to talk about her unloving parents and her deceased first husband who was mafia related completely pointless. And did anybody else noticed how she absolutely refuses alcohol the whole time but Luke comes in to find an empty bottle of wine and says “someone else had a bad night” after their fight about how he found out about the pregnancy. Lot of dead ends in this book with a whining girl and a douche guy
This is my honest and voluntary review of this ARC.
The age old saying of what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas is definitely NOT true for this dynamic duo.
Thanks to her best friend Tessa is in Vegas celebrating her new job. It is a position she has tried hard to land. No surprise her BFF takes off to have herself a good time with some guys, leaving Tessa to sit at the bar and have a drink and take her mind off of it all. Waking up the next morning though is where Tessa’s world takes that fork in the road that she had no idea was there.
Rich, hot, and playboy are usually the top three words one uses to describe Luke (Lucas.) He is at the bar in Vegas, surprisingly without a hoard of ladies, not even one, hanging all over him. No surprises when he starts up a conversation with the gorgeous woman at the bar. He is so taken by her he goes along for the ride. This ride is one of the best decisions he has ever made.
Last night is a blur for both Tessa and Luke, but for different reasons. Tessa really let loose and got her drink on, Luke for taking a leap and following Tessa’s lead, only without the drinks. They start at the bar and move along from there. Tessa’s blur is cleared up quickly while watching the morning news. The rich hot guy she sees on the screen is the guy from the bar. What place is he walking out of? Who is that with him……oh em gee, Tessa sees her own image. As if the hangover kicking her butt is not bad enough, now to make matters worse she is beginning to realize specific yummy things transpired last night. What has she done? How can she get rid of this mess and quickly?
Luke’s morning happens to start in more of a daze than a blur. It is called out to him by his PR guy, only PR guy is not being kind about it. Luke isn’t sure this is such a bad thing after all. Actually , it’s kind of funny to him that he isn’t more bothered by this event and all the frenzy of the media over it. No, Luke is not dreading the photo that was taken and shown all of the media, he is seen smiling and rather calm about it all. He decides he and Tessa need to talk, but Tessa has beaten him to the punch and texted him. When he sees “wifey” on his phone screen, a bigger grin appears. The text is her telling him that she is sorry for whatever happened, and that she will start the process of ridding this mess. There is no text to ask to talk, not even a call to do this, a text. When Tessa tries to fix this, there are two glitches. The first one is not horrible and by law is required. The second one is not something planned, thought of, or shared with the other person.
Now it is the first day of work for Tessa. Imagine the shock of walking into a boardroom, being introduced to your new boss, only to find out it is……your husband. Yes, Tessa comes face to face with Luke, aka her new boss. All sorts of things go through her mind. Luke doesn’t hide the fact, in fact he likes making her squirm. Meetings, conferences, business trips are all a part of Tessa’s job with Luke. Things spark, a passionate moment happens, but just like that Tessa darts out.
Dinner with his parents comes about, the secret Tessa has been hiding seems to show up during this dinner, and Luke’s mom is the one who lets the cat out of the bag, only Luke doesn’t know what mom is talking about. When Tessa gets back to the table, Luke asks her about this point blank. There is no use lying or hiding it, she nods. His parents excuse themselves and leave. Luke is angry. Not because of what this is but because she is trying to resolve their “predicament” and did not share this new information with him. He leaves, she cries.
To say that work was stressful is an understatement. They both try to avoid one another, but a situation arises that takes Luke’s mind off of the current situation and has him focused on fixing this one. But there seems to be the game of hit or miss with calls, Luke is a bit upset by this, especially due to the way things were left a few nights ago. He is done with the games, he wants to talk things out, tell Tessa what he truly feels. When he arrives at her place his panic resolves, they talk, Luke gets Tessa to honestly open up with him about why she is dragging her feet about giving in and accepting their marriage. She tells him, it doesn’t surprise him, but he then shares something with her about that. Tessa never saw this part happening – or rather no longer happening.
They talk, the eat, and they have fantastic make up sex, this time no one leaves afterwards. This marriage is staying strong and moving forward as a duo.
I don’t know, is the author British or something?!
This book had a decent story but it had continuity issues. While they were minor it was a bit off putting to read. Throughout the book you’ll read a sentence and then the next sentence contradicts the first. Almost like it had sped up the storyline or as if the author paused in her writing and when she started to write again didn’t bother to read what she’d written beforehand.
I’ve never heard or read an American or an American product call a wrench a spanner. My device even autocorrected that word “spanner” because it doesn’t recognize it! Also, once in the book the word mom was written as mum. There was a few more British terminology references but I can’t remember them right now.
I have no problem with British writing but it was clear that this book was written one way and then edited for a American audience. But not edited well.
Having said that, while this was a decent story the female character started off as a dingbat and ended as a lucky dingbat. Fine you drunkenly got hitched. And fine you wanted to fix that error in judgement. Instead you give the dude mixed singles by continuing to have random sex with him. Then when you get busted hiding your pregnancy the dude still wants you while you’ve done everything possible to show you’re a flake! Let’s not forget your horrible work ethic!
Granted this insta-love cheap romance, it was weakly done. It’s a shallow read that had potential but dropped the ball in the end. On a side note the author left a blurb stating that the dead first husband has a book titled “Claiming His Baby” which I cannot find anywhere. I have so many questions on how a dead man can have his own romance. This author has clear inconsistencies in her craft and her business. You might want to take out that blurb if there is no longer a book for it.
This is one entertaining story about Tessa and Luke. Tessa and her friend are in Vegas for a weekend of fun and Tessa is left at the bar alone when Luke walks up and they have an interesting conversation. Luke can not believe that Tessa has no idea who he is and that she walks away. Luke realizes that Tessa is something special and runs after her. They have a fun and adventures night of many first for both of them and Luke finds himself along for the ride and married the next morning! Tessa can not believe what happened and she wants nothing to do with Luke and is on the war path to get an annulment and Luke finds he wants to give this marriage to Tessa a chance. Tessa goes home to start her new job so she can make ends meet and to finally move forward from her past. Luke is one very wealthy man and his company ends up buying the company Tessa has her job at. Things quickly go Luke’s way as he finds a way to keep Tessa by his side and shows her he is a good guy who really wants her. Luke is one sweet and funny man that Tessa finds herself attracted to him. They have a rocky beginning. Can Luke find a way to make Tessa see they are good for one another or will Tessa get her annulment and hide away? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Such a fun read from Nikki Chase!! Normally you see the men not wanting to be married. So fun to read it from the opposite perspective. Vegas is known for wild nights and even wilder ideas! Tessa and Luke take it to the extreme. Too bad Tessa doesn't immediately remember when she wakes up. And when she does? Man she wants to reverse the night as quickly as possible. The book is spent with Luke doing whatever he can to make Tessa understand how much he wants her and that more than anything, he doesn't want it to end. A great book filled with ups and downs and some really hot moments! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Luke = 5/5 Heroine, Tessa = 5/5 Chemistry, = 5/5 Sex, = 5/5 Plot = 5/5 Mystery = 2/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 3/5 POV = Dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. we meet tessa in Vegas with her bff b4 starting her life over in a new career. a night of drinking leads to waking up married...to Americas hottest bachelor Luke. no no no no....this can't be happening. she doesnt remember what happened and wants out like now. Luke wakes up with his PR brock breathing down his throat about getting married..wth...ah...now he remembers..the gorgeous woman in red that didnt know who he was and who he had alot of fun with. when he tries to call tessa, she dismisses him and declares she doesnt want his money and wants an annulment....all thru an email....not gonna happen. wks later tessa is trying to get an annulment and start her new job but when she walks into a mtg to take notes she comes face to face with her husband aka her now boss. to top it off tessa learns of her impending doom so to speak. Luke's luck as changed and how he needs to convince tessa to drop the annulment.
Tessa thinks her drunken Vegas wedding to billionaire Luke Alder is a mistake but Luke doesn't agree. He is thoroughly captivated by Tessa while all she can think of is getting an annulment. Losing hope of getting his runaway wife to even answer her phone, fate smiles on him when he discovers he's Tessa's new boss. All he needs is a little time to convince her they belong together. Meanwhile, Tessa is keeping a big secret from him. Will he still want her when he finds out he's going to be a father?
This story is fun and sexy. Luke is a great guy, very sweet and likable. Tessa is a little more complicated. It seems like the only good and lasting relationship she has ever had is with her best friend Claire. This story is a light, quick read but very enjoyable. Great read!
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
This is a fun , fast paced story by Nikki Chase that will keep you entertained from page one to the very last page. It involves Tessa, heroine, going to Las Vegas with her best friend, Claire, and they go out for the evening. The thing is they meet Luke whose attraction to Tessa is obvious and mutual. The next morning she wakes up in bed with him and married to him too!! Oh heck what has she done? She wants to escape and get the marriage annulled asap but he turns up at her workplace. Secrets abound in this humourous story that is light hearted and sexy. A nice read for by the pool or on your way to your holiday destination. I look forward to her next book. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
When Tessa goes to Vegas to catch up with a friend, she meets Luke and takes him on adventures in a boozy haze. Luke has never had so much fun in his life! He's going wherever Tessa takes him. Even though Tessa tries to ghost him, fate throws them together a second time. Their chemistry is undeniable; Tessa can't stay away from Luke's persistent advances, no matter how she tries. I liked the characters. Luke was no brooding alpha. He was funny, happy to be led by this amazing woman, and sensitive to her needs. Tessa tries to be independent but she really needs to keep her internship, and pay the bills. Well written story, which I greatly enjoyed.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
There is Tessa who goes to Vegas with her friends for a fun weekend. She meets Luke outside a bar and they have a really good conversation. Luke realizes she is special and runs after her and its the start of a fun and adventurous evening. What she didn't anticipate was waking up married in the morning! She can't believe it and wants to get an annulment right away. Luke wants to see what might happen with this marriage. Then things get interesting. This is a good read even if the plot is somewhat typical. One click to find out if Luke can convince Tessa that they are good for each other and should give this marriage a chance. Enjoyable read.

mer Review Tessa finds an Accidental Husband in Luke while in Las Vegas. What happens in Las Vegas does not stay there!
This is another excellent steamy romance by an excellent romance author! I love authors who can take a completely improbable romance and whisk me off to fairy tale land and bring me back gently to earth happier than when I began. This author does it every time! Tessa is a good person who has been given bad experiences that she did not know how to grow from. Luke has had a great environment that made him into an even greater man. They meet in Las Vegas by accident and get married in a drunken haze. Can it be possible for this marriage to work? I received a gifted copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I honestly love this story and this author!
An interesting story a little predictable but a nice easy page turner. Tessa and Luke a millionaire with a player reputation meet in Vegas on a drunken night out and end up tying the knot in a little chapel, on returning home she commences annulment proceeds but then finds out she came home with extra baggage. When she starts her new job Luke just happens to be her new boss, Luke is besotted with Tessa and wants to make the marriage work, Tessa however has insecurity and trust issues is not so sure will they be able to work things out?? But with Tessa hiding a big secret what happens when Luke finds out will he still remain generous and understanding or has her luck finally ran out.??? I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review.
Well this books starts off with what you shouldn't do in Vegas get absolutely blind drunk that you don't know what you do the next morning. Tessa was having a few days in Vegas with her friend Claire before she starts a new job. As fate has it's own way of doing things Tessa plain goes a bit of track. Luke is there just for the fun of it when he spotted Tessa. They spend the night together and when Tessa wakes up the next morning she finds out she has got married. Will she stay married to Luke to find out you are just going to have to read this book for yourself. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book
One night in Vegas that is all it takes to change the course of Tessa's life. She is not thrilled by the course of events that happened with the infamous playboy billionaire Luke Wilder. Luke, on the other hand, doesn't see the night as a total disaster, getting her to come around to see it his way, thats going to be a challenge! Especially with the secret she has... Sweet, sassy and full of heart this full of accidents romance was a fun fast moving and sexy. Nikki Chase took a popular, and also one of my favorite storylines and made it her own! One book I would suggest checking out for yourself! 4.5 Stars
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh Tessa, what have you done. She can’t believe she got married to a stranger. Well she does now, she is on t.v.!!!!!!!! Married to Luke Alder, the richest playboy ever. What’s a girl to do...well for starters an annulment that should help. Wrong...Luke has other ideas. He wants her to be his wife, forever. A fantastic story I couldn’t put down. Luke is hot, sexy and he genuinely wants Tessa so now he has to woo her. Their chemistry is off the charts which doesn’t help Tessa say no. What she wasn’t expecting is to get pregnant either. Now Tessa is more confused than ever. This story is worth more than 5 stars, definitely a 10/10
Porn, smut, trash? Yes, definitely. Romance? No. Not by anybody's standard of romance, anywhere, ever. The further I read, the worse it became. I stopped around the 40% point, completely fed up. I love a good romance, and by no means would I consider myself a prude. But porn and filth for the sake of porn and filth, adding nothing to the story at all, is not what I look for in a romance, and I will be buying no more books by this 'writer'. I understand if you have no imagination, or writing ability, 'shock' is all you have left. Maybe some will appreciate your effort. I will not be among them.
This book has three stories. First is Accidental Husband with Tessa and Luke. To me the story is far fetched. A drunken night in Las Vegas ends in marriage. They wake up in separate rooms?? She gets pregnant from their one-nighter. He’s labeled a “Man-whore” but he wants to keep her? This story is just sex and no realism. The second book is His Virgin with Cane and Daisy. This story to me was boarder abuse. Cane was mean, vindictive and lacked any caring genes. This story was all sex no substance. The third book is Mountain Man’s Baby Plan and I couldn’t start it as books 1 and 2 were bad.
Predictable, but cute and sweet - Accidental Husband is a quick and fun read that kept my attention from beginning to end (though I read it in one sitting so...). I enjoyed the premise: two strangers meet in Vegas, get drunk, and hitched and the typical shenanigans ensue. The twist here is that the hubby is a billionaire and wifey can't wait to get the marriage annulled. Add a surprise pregnancy, a coincidental employment sitch, and some business merger madness and it was an interesting ride. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Isn't that what they say? At least I hope so because once I get rid of my hangover, I'm getting a divorce. Turns out, my good time in Vegas went further than I thought. But now that I'm home, I get right on that. Of course, with my luck, I have to wait 30 days since it happened in a different state. Well, I have a new job to start which takes my mind off it for now. By the way, my new boss is billionaire, Luke Adler -- my, also new, husband. Great story by Nikki Chase about how Tessa & Luke meet and eventually survive each other to reach their HEA.
A crazy amazing night in Vegas, a surprise wedding and so much more. Tessa went to Vegas to visit her best friend Claire. Luke is a hot sexy billionaire and CEO of his families company. Tessa and Luke's story was entertaining and their chemistry is so hot. Will Tessa go through with the annulment? Will Luke be able to show Tessa he really cares about her and wants to stay married? Will Tessa's secret be the final straw that ends things with Luke? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a fun and truly entertaining story from this talented author, and I was captivated throughout this page turner. Tessa wakes up severely hung over, and when her BF shows her a newspaper picture of her coming out of wedding chapel, she realises with total horror, that she is married. Thinking she can just track down Luke who is the groom has a surprising twist. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed!
The cover model doesn't seem very Luke. Cute but not right.
Tessa is very wishy washy. I was glad she was left at restaurant when she couldn't tell Luke big news. She deserved it. Luke was sweet. Sometimes the timeline was off. For example, the time frame for starting the new job was screwy. I thought there was just a week between Vegas and starting new job?? Editing should of tightened that up. Timing was kind of important to the storyline.
This was a fun, sweet read. Luke could have any woman he wants but he falls for Tessa and Tessa is trying to erase a one night event that she has a hard time recalling. Things become complicated as she discovers she is carrying more than she things from her hot and steamy adventure. His is persistent and she is in denial, what happens next makes for an enjoyable story that will keep you entertained until the end.
The characters are well fleshed out making them believable.
There was definite attraction between Luke and Tessa, and you wanted them to have a HEA but.....and this is the reason for only three stars.....Tessa annoyed me so much. I am tired of reading about heroines who overreact, who refuse to communicate, and who send very mixed signals. Luke had the patience of a saint.
3 1/2* Luke meets Tessa at a bar in Vegas never dreaming his night would end they way it did. Tessa is in Vegas with her friend Claire but finds herself spending time with Luke after her friend leaves. Waking the next morning with a hangover & vague memories Tessa returns home convinced she won’t see him again, remember the saying what happens in vegas stays in Vegas right??? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Nice story
