This book was interesting and full of helpful information... However I kept getting disgusted by all the author's cuss words and worldly way of talking.

Really good book for someone just starting out trying to make better choices for their health.

Harris discusses chemicals, food, exercise, how to choose and talk to your doctor and even things like toxic friendships and intimacy while going through a major illness.

There are a few recipes and ideas for cleaning using non toxic ingredients.

For me - it was all stuff I knew about about but great for people possibly new to a cancer (or other scary health) diagnosis. It can help you focus and make a plan for your next steps.

I couldn't help thinking this is mostly for people who have access and at least some money/options - she does offer ideas for home workout programs - options depending on what level health care you have.

Harris also had a laid back conversational tone that was easily accessible while still referring you to more detailed studies.

Samantha Harris was a personal trainer and well known tv host. She developed breast cancer at a young age and survived. She shares everything she has learned regarding how to stay healthy and lower your risk for breast cancer.

I am not a cancer survivor but enjoyed reading this book. It is an excellent read for anyone who wishes to live a healthy life!

At the end of the book is an excellent set of references.

My only critique is that although the book is only about 200 pages long - it is physically heavy (i.e. a thick heavy cover and I think heavy weight paper used). However, it is chock full of great advice and nicely laid out.

I wish Samantha Harris a long and healthy life! I thank her for sharing such a positive and empowering story!

I got this from the library and this book is so full of great information I just ordered a copy for my shelf! This book is broken down by two parts, one for your body and one for your mind. It is full of great pictures that break down the sections of the book, it has recipes, and exercise tips. Loved this book, it is a keeper!

I read this cover to cover shortly after getting my breast cancer diagnosis. I loved reading about Samantha’s experience with cancer and how it prompted her to make some changes in her life. She gives great starting points for anyone thinking about making similar changes. It is a well rounded book, especially for those who are affected by cancer.

Great specific things that we can do to be healthier. It does go further out there than I am willing to go. But a very chatty and personable book.

Love this book. I have this book out on my coffee table as a guide and great recipes. She walked us through her roller coaster emotions and challenges - she is a survivor.
