About the author

巴金（1904年11月25日－2005年10月17日），原名李堯棠，字芾甘，中國四川成都人，祖籍浙江嘉興。現代文学家、出版家、翻譯家。同時也被譽為是「五四」新文化運動以來最有影響力的作家之一，是20世紀中國傑出的文學大師、中國當代文壇的巨匠。

除了魯迅，巴金也是當時中國大陸知識分子的重要代表人物。他的著作有《激流三部曲》(《家》、《春》和《秋》）、《寒夜》等，也創作了多個中篇小說、短篇小說、散文集以及譯著 。

這本書是“刪節中國經典”最後的一本書。最近，因爲課程忙碌的關係，我讀書的速度跌的很厲害。但是，終于讀完這本。

這本書的題目是中國舊的封建社會制度，尤其是年輕人因一切都被長輩決定而受傷了，甚至死（我不清楚一共多少年輕人物死，大概五六以上）。我開讀這三本書（刪節中國經典）的時候，我還在加拿大。因爲只是一個小説而已，我懷疑“作者有可能誇張一點吧”。來到ICLP讀“中國文化叢談”（我們這裏的課本之一）之後我才發現這本書的内容跟實際上的狀況差不了多小。

因此，我覺得這三本非常配合“中國文化叢談”。

最近，因爲我要改掉一些發音方面的壞習慣，我每個禮拜二，四，五，下課之後都會跟一位老師練習念書，特別注意我的聲調。有一天我帶來這本書念。她很好奇，也認爲很配合“中國文化叢談”，請求借，要讀一下，以後也許推薦學生讀。

我覺得，通過“刪節中國經典”和ICLP的課本，我更深的瞭解辛亥革命的目的。
