Hartley Daniels always thought she was a good time sub.
When she joined the most exclusive BDSM club in Vancouver, The Cage she had already been experimenting with her kink side at the public clubs in town with her friends. Hartley was the sub who was up for anything, she wanted to push her boundaries and see how far her kink side extended. After gorging her appetite on the tamer scenes with the gentlemen Doms of The Cage, Hartley finds she is hungry for something different, something with a little more edge.
Dr Keith Selkirk is the top trauma surgeon in the country. The members of The Cage know him as Master Keith, the resident sadist.
Master Keith recognised his taste for kink ran into the extremes from the very first time he walked out onto a dungeon floor. He demanded full control over his subs as a part of his contracts and he teased out every last drop of their submission through the punishment of the flesh as well as the intimate manipulation of their minds. His demand of a thirty day, twenty-four/ seven contract was always met by an eager number of subs willing to submit to his particular brand of BDSM.
Master Keith had been aware of Hartley at The Cage since the BDSM dungeon opened its doors. She evoked feelings of restlessness that threatened to break his iron-clad control. He did his best to steer clear of the sub every Dom loved to play with until she set her sights on him. After a long campaign, he finally gives in to her request for a thirty-day contract. Will Master Keith retain his status as The Cage’s sadist? Or will the lovely Hartley break through his control to the Dom within?
I hope all of you have enjoyed reading The new releases of the Dom’s of the Cage series as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them!
I will pack the next year with even more adventures for our subs and Doms as the series continues!
The first novella of Break Even will be ready for release on February 22, 2019. This book continues the story of Detective Chamberlain and his pursuit of Melanie Bancroft.
I’ve schedule Play Me Close a full-length novel featuring Joe Green and Janey for release on May 30th, 2019.
I will release the second part of Break Even on August 30th, 2019.
This is Book 5 of The Doms of the Cage series written by P Nelson. It isn't necessary to read this series in order, but should you choose not to, you will probably lose sight of some of the nuances that make this series so appealing. Having been on the periphery of this lifestyle for many years, I can say honestly that this series appeals to me in a very basic way - it is probably one of the most honest and forthright looks at BDSM that you could get your hands on today. Mind you, it is NO primer on the lifestyle, but it is a breath of fresh air when compared to the hundreds of "fake" BDSM books out there.
The Cage is an exclusive BDSM club in Vancouver, Canada, and this series of books revolves around this club. Book 5 is the story of Master Keith, who is The Cage's resident sadist and Hartley, who has been a sub at The Cage for a long time, having scened with some of the Doms that P Nelson has written about in this series of books. Hartley is a great example of everything a sub should be - extremely smart, working on a Ph.D., honest about her needs and wants both inside and outside BDSM, and P Nelson wrote her as a natural submissive, which makes the character even more endearing to me.
Dr. Keith is Vancouver's leading Trauma Surgeon, and I have to say that P Nelson wrote him in just the way I love - as an unapologetic sadist and a dominant male. He has noticed Hartley at the club and has rebuffed her multiple requests to scene with him, thinking that she would be yet another sub who would end the night in tears. Little did he know that Hartley had been dreaming of what the sadist could do for her for a long time.
There is, in this book, an undercurrent of danger and evil lurking. There is a serial killer, introduced in a previous book, who has been killed, but the people behind him are still lurking in the shadows. This book will also bring Flynn, Calla, Linkin, and Dillon back into focus, continuing the story from With Or Without You, which was Book 4.
P Nelson's style of writing is sometimes blunt, always to the point, and lends itself well to the lifestyle that is BDSM. She tells the tale carefully throughout the book, making sure there is enough narrative so that the reader can follow the movement of the plot, but not so much that it becomes boring. And, importantly, the dialogue of the characters while they are at The Cage and in scenes, is very true to reality, which I, for one, appreciate. She understands that an alpha male is not necessarily a Dominant and that a Dominant is always an Alpha male, and makes use of that differentiation while she is creating her characters.
Over all, I recommend this writer's books to anyone who wants a more realistic look into the lifestyle and to anyone who wants to read what real safe and sane scenes are like. It has been no secret over the last year that I've disliked the phony BDSM books out there, written by authors who think that handcuffs and a paddle are all that is necessary to write about this lifestyle. With P Nelson, I haven't had to worry about that.
And of course, I will highly recommend it to anyone who wants their erotic romance touched with kink. And as a note, I received the ARC through Hidden Gems and purchased the book all on the same day, which I guess, makes me a fan.
Another wonderful book from this well written series
This is Hartley's story. If you've read any of the previous Doms of the Cage books then you will probably know who I mean. She is a bubbly sub who has been happy to take part in public play but who is now wanting to explore her darker desires. M aster Keith is the sadist Dom whom she wants to push her further and harder than she has been taken before. Hartley has all but given up hope when Keith agrees to a 30 day contract.
The author imbues both the BDSM play and the relationship with a very realistic feel. I felt I got to know, and connect with, both main characters in this story. The play is very intense, Keith is a very serious sadist and Hartley wants to experience what he has to offer. However all interactions stick rigorously to the tenants of SSC, a massive positive that can not be said of all BDSM romances.
There is an overarching back story running through the whole series. Whilst this can be both read and enjoyed as a stand alone, I do think reading the previous two books or the series as a whole makes it even more enjoyable. The suspense doesn't really kick in until a good halfway through the book. The first part really focuses on introducing Master Keith and Hartley, as well as building a very believable relationship. Once we do get to the intrigue part we get a real roller-coaster of a ride, full of emotion and angst.
The conclusion of Keith and Hartley's story was perfect, I couldn't have wished for anything better. The next book is the conclusion of Calla and Flynn's story, to say I'm excited about that would be an understatement!
I have just finished reading Wicked Game by P Nelson and I am left wondering. I have read all of the books that are part of The Cage Series and have enjoyed each and every one of them but this is the first one I don’t feel compelled to give a 5 star rating. Something about Master Keith and Hartley did not click for me. In BDSM books I feel it is imperative for the reader to connect to the Dom or Domme, depending on the book, as if the reader is also a submissive. I just did not trust the character of Master Keith. He seemed to worried about himself and his needs to be a truely good Dom and certainly not a good Sadist. If you get off on someone’s pain you also have to be prepared to offer them the safe haven of trust and affection after delivering that pain. He did not seem prepared to give that. He was so wrapped up in his persona that he seemed to forget the fundamentals of what her was doing in the first place. While he did find a level of redemption in the end, getting there was not a very pleasant journey. However, the underlying story of Master Flynn and Cara is truely heating up and it appears that they are finally getting their story continued in the next book of this series “As If The World Were Watching”. I can’t wait to read how the factors interfering in their relationship are finally vanquished allowing them to be together as they should have been all of this time.
So while I would not give this one 5 stars it is still a solid 4 star read worthy of your time, especially if you are a fan of the series. You will want to read the build up for the next book. I received an ARC copy of this book from Hidden Gems for my honest review.
I LOVE this series and this latest addition is not one I was sure I was anticipating as much as previous releases as Hartley and Keith have been only briefly mentioned in previous books but, I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed it! Their tale is one that threads through 30 days of emotional decadence that leaves you on an emotional whirlwind of a ride that you simply can't put down.
For me, Master Keith as the resident sadist has always been a curiosity. Someone who has been on the periphery of the underlying series arc of the threat facing the Cage family but involved nevertheless and, I was eager to see who P Nelson matched him with as we found out more about this no nonsense Dom. Hartley is the perfect sub for him and challenges all he believes as much as he challenges her in her submission and together the story unfolds beautifully. It is also scorching hot in places and can I just say....the chair chapter - OMG, HAWT!
For a hot page turner of a story on its own, this is certainly a book that can be read as a standalone. There are however. familiar faces and threats that simply would be understood and enjoyed much more if you had previously read the others in the series, and personally, trust me they are all SO good that it seems silly not to read them all! I can't wait for 'If The World Were Watching', the next book in the series as the teaser left me quite eager to see how Calla and Master Flynn and the rest of the Cage family finally deal with all that has been thrown at them, fingers crossed we finally get a HEA!
It's classic in this genre and, in the same time, unexpected I chose this story because the blurb emphasized Hartley's willingness to want a sadistic relationship, and I wondered how someone could decide to go that far. I read it at first as we watch a horror movie: we know that we risk seeing things that will scare us or that we will not like, but we look anyway because it will not happen to us not. But finally, the characters are just as romantic as in other romances (BDSM apart). Hartley's boundaries between remaining free from her choices and being subject to the controlling share of her life, depend on what she agrees to give to Keith, and the words and actions that each puts on those words. But from the beginning, their relationship is not only carnal, even if each of them refuses to see that it is their love attraction that brings them closer. (Probably related to the context) If one adds the continuation of a criminal investigation begun in the previous books of the series, to the control games of the characters, the situation is tense all along the story. From the beginning for the two characters, an attraction other than sexual preferences is already present and it is this attraction that has retained Master Keith to create a one-month contract with Hartley, but finally, he decides to try. However it's this same attraction that becomes difficult to manage for Keith because it's contrary to his principles. To this is combined the murder investigation which had already affected their club before and whose threats continue against them.
Hartley was ready for a shakeup in her kink lifestyle and wanted to up the exploration factor by offering herself time and time again to Master Keith, The Cage’s crowned sadist. But after being turned down so many times, she gives up on a commitment contract with him, if only to preserve her pride.
Although Keith has definitely noticed this beloved sub and watched her play and scene with her friends under other doms at the club, he has kept himself distanced from her not only because he enjoys denying himself pleasure, but because he was not willing to admit that this beautiful woman may just succeed in toppling his hard-earned and tightly reined control.
This was a great story, with very familiar characters now (having read more than two other books from this series). It was filled with undeniable and sizzling chemistry between them, which was jeopardized when a very real suspense thread winds it way between them and affects other Cage members, to include the owner, Keith and Hartley. The bond between the club members, especially the doms, is tight and caring in this exclusive community. Both Hartley and Keith have differing fundamental views on their contract terms, but it was ultimately the intent to do what was right which spurred one of them to follow their hearts, perhaps at the detriment of their relationship. As a side note, I would have liked to have read some more details of explanation in the outcomes of their plan to flush out the person of interest in this story.
i read this book as part of an arc program. In this book, Hartley is a grad student and she is a sub at the BDSM club The Cage. Hartley wants Keith to be her dom, but he refuses to scene with her. Hartley is known as the sweet sub but Keith is known as the sadist of the club. When Hartley persists, Keith is unsure if she can handle his kink, but he decides to let her try. They have an amazing connection and Keith is stunned how great it is. When a danger from the past gets close again, Everyone at The Cage is affected and Hartley knows she can help, much to Keith's displeasure. Hartley and Keith both have to end their contract and they may have ended things between them forever. I love this series. I love how everyone is so good to each other. I love how Keith was supported through his problems about Hartley and how Keith really did care for her. I think they were great together and Hartley was everything Keith wanted without knowing he wanted it. I also love how Hartley knew she loved Keith, but she still wanted to have a career and her research. I think they were both scared to commit because of a fear of rejection. I like how this series also includes many of aspects of the BDSM lifestyle and has the characters having councilors available to them. I think it is more than just the kink, it includes a better description to make it easy to understand for someone not into BDSM. Good one.
Nobody writes true BDSM suspense thrillers like P Nelson! For me she is the ultimate writer of this genre. The intrigue around the Reverend who was killed in book 4 keeps the danger flowing in this magnificent series at The Cage. In Wicked Game all the favourite characters and their previous stories and HEA’s just seem so right and flow so beautifully, they feel like my family! Master K the resident sadist eventually caves and gives Hartley her much wanted 30 day contract. She has played at The Cage for years but needs more pain in her play! Will her warm, intelligent character thaw Master K’s ice cold reserved dominance and can she truly handle the sadist in him? Master K certainly knows how to weave his words to torment her! But will Hartley be his ultimate challenge? Hartley has issues with her fear of loss, after all he will not be hers to keep, it’s just a 30 day contract! Will he turn out to be her safe place. Their lust for each other was oh so palpable but will she ever be his 24/7 submissive with true faith in him? This well deserved 5 ⭐️ Read I highly recommend as a gripping page turner from start to finish. I can’t wait for the next book in this superb series around Calla and Master Flynn their story has been brewing long enough! I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy via Hidden Gems.
Fantasy BDSM👋👋 Tale with A Serial Killer💀 Included!
Hartley💃💋 has her sights set on Master Keith🐺🍆🌋👋, a known sadist and ultimate Spankenstein👋👋👋.
She's a player at the Cage, a private BDSM👋👋 club. She's been with almost every DOM in the place and finds herself more and more attracted to the painful side of life.
Master Keith🐺🍆🌋👋 can make it hurt so good! OUCH!
ARC Received from HG. I also got The book with KU.
This is definitely a fantasy, since Keith🐺🍆🌋👋 is such a perfect man in almost every way. He's a binder and a masterful choker👐, since he's Surgeon, and he is a mental playmaster. Hartley💃💋 doesnt really have a chance once he decides he wants her. Enjoy!
The published book📑 needed more editing, there were a number of grammatical errors, omissions, and misspellings. Much of the dialogue is stilted and unnatural, like the characters are reciting a script. Not sure if this is intentional, but I found it annoying. There were also instances of very poor hygienic practices during the scenes between Keith🐺🍆🌋👋 and Hartley💃💋. I am somewhat disappointed with this book.
This is a new series and author for me (I was browsing liked the blurb and clicked, it was on Kindle ) though it seems I am in the middle of the story ,I found I was still able to connect with the characters, both the main and supporting but I will be going back and starting with book one as there are some terrific characters and an entertaining and suspenseful running plot line Wicked Games contains such creative, playful and at times a bit devious characters - all of which strongly complement each other creating a sense of family that I found delightful and entertaining. Just the right touch of suspense to keep you on edge - There is an evil lurking in the shadows that is threatening the members of the club. At the conclusion of this story, we still have a mystery as to who done it 🕵️♀️. Hartley is portrayed as intelligent and naturally sexy with a sweet undertone of innocence Keith suffers slightly from a God complex as well as a bit of a Sadist complex -though I think his new subbie might just bring him to his knees There are a few grammatical errors and a couple scene errors switching the placement of the character, etc-
Book 5 in the Dom's of the Cage series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Each book is about different club members and their HEA. There is also a mystery theme that is weaved throughout the series. The books also have the same club members as secondary characters and it is great to read about them too. Hartley is a sub who is looking for more pain play. She wants it with the club resident sadist Master Keith. Master Keith considers himself the "only" true sadist at the club. Hartley has trust issues outside of the club and Master Keith is looking for a 24/7 sub. The conflict is not dragged out but worked out beautifully! Some HOT scenes but not all sex. Good character development and back stories. I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series!! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
There is Hartley, the good time sub, who has been wanting a contract with the sadist of The Cage, Master Keith. Master Keith is always in control. He is a trauma surgeon by day and a total sadist by night. When he take a sub, he wants a 24/7 contract for 30 days. To use her how he wants. He has refused Hartley numerous times as he doesn't think that she is up to the task but he has been drawn to her from the first time he saw her. He has watched her for a very long time. When they do get together it is explosive. There is a good plot line and interesting characters, main and secondary. This is the fifth book in the series. They don't need to be read in order though you do lose some of the story by reading out of order. If you like BDSM stories, this is one of the series you should read.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Wicked Game by P Nelson is a beautifully written book about lifestyle choices. This book in the series explores Hartley and Keith's similarities. It's clear to the reader that they are made for each other, but their stubbornness causes problems that are not easily resolved. There is also an element of suspense and danger that is carried over from previous books in the series, but it does not interfere with being able to follow along with this storyline. In fact, it only prompted me to look into reading the preceeding books in the series. Overall a well written book with several well developed characters with a great deal of depth. The storyline is interesting and attention getting. I received an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my honest review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Another great story from this sizzling series. Master Keith is a top surgeon and the Satist at The Club. Hartley always wanted to experience in a Dom with Satist tendencies. She had her eye on the biggest, baddest one. I enjoyed this series very much. I liked both characters in the previous book but, I didn’t connect with Hartley as much as the other Subs. The storyline was different, it focused more on the main characters and not much of The Club activities. It certainly didn’t take away from a well written storyline. It still had plenty of intense suspense and the ending will have you craving for more. I highly recommend this series
Master Keith in the outside world is a brilliant surgeon that is often sought after for his patients. But at the Cage he is known as the resident sadist dom!!! He is delicious!
Hartley wants to try new things and she has her eyes set on Master Keith, she knows he will give her what she desires and what she needs. But when he rejects her over and over, can she take it? But when she finally gets a contract with Master Keith, will 30 days be enough?
I could not put this book down! I love the entire series of the Cage and it gets better and better. Master Keith begins to loosen up a bit with Hartley, but that doesn't make him weak and he soon realizes that fact. Definitely recommend this book and series. I received an ARC of this book from the author.
Will Keith capture Hartley with his collar? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my 7th book by the author in this series and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Hartley asks Master Keith yet again to scene with her and yet again she is turned down. Yet Keith sends a package to Hartley asking if she can handle him. Their contract just begins, when the drama from the prior novels pulls Hartley and Keith into it. Will Keith discover that he needs Hartley more than 30 days? Will Hartley be able to submit to Keith? You have to read to find out and will enjoy the steam coming off these two.
The Dom's of The Cage series is about the lifestyles of the Doms/Dommes and their submissives who are members of the exclusive BDSM club The Cage. Wicked Game is the 5th book in the series the centres around Hartley every Dom's favourite sub and Master Keith . Hartley has been wanting a contract with Master Keith a sadist but he has refused here everytime. When she has given up he sends her a contact. Will Hartley be able to take his sadistic punishment for 30 days? Will Master Keith be able to make her trust him? This is a steamy hot book with heavy elements of BDSM thats not for the faint hearted.

I was provided an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems 💎and this is my honest review..... The Doms of the Cage is one of my top 10 series, ever. Each book, each couple are so well written, you really feel like you know them. Each book can be read separately, but a binge read on a lazy weekend of all 5 is well worth your time. This book is Keith and Hartley’s story. I have to admit, sadists scare me and Master Keith is scary, but Hartley wants what he can give her. Well written, fast paced, twists and turns, this was a page turner from start to finish...... Now on to book 6 with my favorite couple🤓
This is the first book I've read from P. Scott,,,,
This is the 5th in a series, but you don't necessarily need to read them, but I think it's always a good idea to read them all anyway,,, This is the story of Master Keith, the resident sadist of the story,,,, and there is the character of Heartley,,,, a willing sub in the club,,, Master Keith has been approached many times by Heartley but, it's never worked out,,,, the story goes between these 2,,, it has some action,,,, some adventure,,,, some hot steam,,,, and yes, some good old emotional moments,,,, !!!
I would so totally recommend this book to anyone,,,,
I was given this ARC voluntarily to do an honest review,,,,
I can’t get enough of this rapidly expand Friendship of the Cage’s members. Their such a close net group that will lay thier lives on the line for each other. This story of Keith and Hartley is the perfect example going the distance. I love the growth and realization the characters go through too. They go from the Dom/ sub relationship to bonding as one person. Most of all they are able to realize their false expectations and over come them with the help of their friends and mentor. I got to admit I can’t get enough of P. Nelson’s books, I hope the next one comes out soon.
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy of this book.
I received a free copy of this book through Hidden Gems. I chose to review it. This is a well written story. It is a BDSM story so if that isn't something you like reading this one will not be for you. I do encourage everyone to get this one. This is the first P. Nelson book I have read but it will not be the last. This one has some suspense but I don't do spoilers so you will need to get this one to find out more on this subject. This one is worth your time and effort.
This is a well written book with realistic BDSM scenes, and relationships, and an ongoing mystery.
The characters are strong, well rounded, and believable, none more so than Master Keith, the resident sadist at The Cage, and Hartley, a delightful, if bratty, submissive.
The plot is fast moving, with some twists and turns that add to the overall tense atmosphere.
Will Master Keith and Hartley ever become a couple?
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Hidden Gems.
I read the opening novella in this series but have somehow missed seeing the others. This one was good but I think it would have been better if I had read the other first. I would recommend the series but would suggest reading them in order. I liked both of the characters, Hartley and Keith. They had a lot of chemistry and some really steamy scenes. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Provided with a free ARC for an honest review. A very graphic BDSM erotic romance. Characters are very well developed and the plot involving the pursuit of a serial killer's accomplices is interesting. Many of the sex scenes are extremely descriptive. What begins as a lust story becomes a love story. I personally can't understand how pleasure can be derived from extreme pain, but to each his own. Not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the romance aspect of this book.
So Keith was portrayed as the sadist of the sadist but I found him to be a punisher more than the extreme sadist we are being told he is . This book is hot hot hot but the story as some missing chapters it feels like and how we go from danger danger stay away from one other and the last chapter is not clear to me .
Ps : their are a lot a written mistake in this book . Misspelled words , missing letters and more ( I m French Canadian and saw more than 20 )
I've been a big fan of this series but this installment was just not there for me. The story of our H and h was good but the ongoing saga of who is behind the serial killer just felt messy to me in this book. There were gaps in what we, the readers, were told and I was left feeling confused as to whether this was deliberate or not. Hopefully the next book will enlighten.
We are back in the BDSM club called The Cage. This time the sub Hartley brings down the sadist Master Keith. Both have personal walls that they must break down trust being one. But this book is so smoking hot that it will leave your panties wet and wanting more. I can't wait for the next book involving the Masters and their subs. I voluntarily review this Advanced Readers Copy of this book
master Keith and Hartley have great chemistry. This is the 5 in the series. Fans of grey should read this as it was so much better. The storyline is great and has everything you expect in a great read.
This is the 5th book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Hartley and Keith have steamy chemistry the story is filled with drama and suspense. I was hooked from beginning to end due to the action and emotion throughout. I loved it and look forward to reading more in the series.
Love this book. I love the build-up of the relationship between the dom and his sub. The surprise suspense and drama element adds to the story. And the hit steamy BDSM scenes are off the chart HOT! I can't wait to read more.
