This is an excellent little useful book. funny and entertaining for German beginners.
i had fun with the German sayings and in addition i am absorbing a chunk of German learning.
This little jewel is very short, under 2 hours audio-lessons based on a theme; it comes with a PDF and quizzes of 100 plus slang words and sayings (The slang is related to sayings, old and new selected in bon tone, nothing vulgar or uncouth)
Well structured, each lesson is a theme and has four German slang sayings and their equivalent to English with examples in how to use each of them.
The audio intentionally pauses between the listening and repeating, so that the student has the time to mentally process the sentence.
"Wo ein Wille ist, ist auch ein Weg“ "Where there is a will there is also a way"

A reasonably good introduction into German idiomatic expressions.
Idioms are a fascinating reflection of history and culture. As my knowledge of German leaves a lot to be desired, most of the expressions gathered in this book were new for me, except the ubiquitous "einen Kater haben" (to have a cat = to have hangover).
This audiobook is a collection of many little podcasts by GermanPod101. Each little chapter (or each podcast) discusses 4 different expressions belonging to the same category -- expressions used by younger speakers, expressions to describe your dislike of somebody, expressions to describe your lack of understanding etc. Sometimes the same idiom is repeated in different categories, which I've found both slightly annoying and beneficial for memorization. The idiomatic expressions are accompanied by example sentences, with English translation. After being acquainted with the idioms, the listeners are prompted to choose the correct expression on their own.
The book is accompanied by a pdf, which is extremely helpful if you want not only to get a taste of German idioms but also preserve a few of them in your memory. Actually, the pdf is the same as the Kindle e-book edition of this book.
