The Ex Games #4

After the Ex Games

Rate this book
After The Ex Games is the sequel to the New York Times Bestselling series The Ex Games and The Private Club. It should be read after both of those series to be fully understood.

Can love exist when secrets are revealed and promises are broken?

When Brandon Hastings and Greyson Twining started the private club, they never knew just how much it was going to change their lives. Power, greed, sex, and money filled their brains, but love never touched them.

When Katie Raymond and Meg Riley entered their lives, everything they thought they knew about life changed. They realized that love meant more to them than anything else and they were ready to start their lives anew. However, the course of true love never runs smoothly and happiness and marriage may not be in their futures.

When secrets from the past are revealed and lies are exposed, both men fear they will lose the love of their lives. Brandon and Greyson know that they only have one chance to make everything right, but the one person they are counting on to help them, may be the one person who wants to take them both down.

After The Ex Games is the stunning and mind blowing finale to The Ex Games and The Private Club serials. Everything you thought you knew about Brandon Hastings and Greyson Twining will be called into question and you will be left wondering if the games ever truly end.

I have to say that it has been a very long time since a book grabbed me completely and had me 100% consumed where nothing else mattered. Where all I wanted to do is stay up late to finish it. The Ex Games, The Private club, and After the Ex Games did this. These were the best books I have read in awhile. They had me from page one of The Ex Games and I was hooked till the very last work of After the Ex Games. I can now wait for the next installment of these series. They are all amazing books and I definitely recommend to all. The characters are awesome and the men are HOT. Well most of them. lol. Amazing, Awesome and Outstanding books. It's hard to put into words just how great these are. They are all definitely going on my favorite list. :)

Great end to the series but Im sad to say that I will no longer read anymore books from this author. I receive an email stating that this book was going to be free to anyone who signs up for her mailing list (which I signed up for months ago and did not recieve) I wrote her stating that I didn't receive the link AND forward her the email I did receive regarding After the Ex Games and she pretty much said I was a liar and "everyone" was sent a link for the free book. I have been a big fan of hers and read ALL of her books then this happens? Shame on you for talking to your fan that way. Truly disappointed.

Surreal! (parte 4, finalmente!)

Ufa!

Se recomendo a série? NÃO!

Be ready for something you might not have seen before. Question: Have you ever read a book, adult romance gender, containing double POV of two [duh] male character? Honestly, my answer is no. Complicated stuff when you are used to something as simple as couple's POVs.

The last installment for The Ex Games and Private Club series is here. The secrets unravelled on this book will torment you, mainly because you will only hear it from the character's responsible [for it] towards the end. You will suspect, however, what's going on, if the puzzle you are putting together is the same as the one being put together by the "ignorant" characters. (And ignorant meant oblivious)

Beware whist reading this book that you may feel/say the following: "WTF, why are these character showing up here?"; "Seriously?"; "Where's the wedding?"; "Why no one fucking uses a condom?"; "Blah, another pregnancy..."... and many more. The emotion for those thriving for detective work... sorry.

I'm disappointed. Ms. Cooper is a wonderful writer and the reason for the three stars. The story though, failed to deliver. Brandon and Greyson were so melodramatic!! Drama queens. When all the truth came out, I thought "That's it???". What's the big deal?? Why did it seem like they murdered people, and ruined all these lives...

Katie got on my nerves! She is so gullible.

The story would have been so much better if it wasn't made to appear more than it was.

Disappointing end to a very average series.

I wasn't sure about reading this book, I've just finished 'The Ex Games' and I wasn't exactly blown away, I read 'The Private Club' but I wasn't impressed so I didn't continue on with that series so reading this book didn't really make sense but it's one of those things and one of the reasons why I don't watch any soaps, you get addicted even if you don't particularly like it you're hooked...you know what I mean and so I read this book.
My issue with this author is mainly that, for me there's too much thrown in there, it doesn't need it all, it's almost as if it's trying too hard, I'm in the minority I know since most of the reviews are really good.
This book ties up the loose ends and as such it's a nice finish I suppose but, yes there's always a but for me it felt a bit anti-climatic it had been built up so we were expecting the worst and it felt a bit flat, also what's the surprise ending that reviews are mentioning, I know I only read the first 'Private' book so maybe things were put in the others to thrown the reader off track because it all seemed pretty obvious to me.
I know I sound like a broken record (I'm showing my age now) but I just couldn't picture Brandon and Greyson as men in their 40's I mean is it just me or do they seem more like college kids.
I'm not sure this author is for me but since I loved 'That Night' so much I'm going to give 'One Night Stand' a go as planned.

WHAT AN ENDING

I never expected that ending. What a great story. I still thought Katie was weak and if Brandon had come clean sooner, misunderstandings could have been avoided. I felt sorry for Nancy but she did get her happily ever after. I also purchased the Love Trails to see what happens with her and I am hoping to here more updates on Grayson and Meg as well. I will wait to read that series July 8th when the final part is released. (I don't have the patience to read and wait for the ending!)

It was nice to finally get answers to all of the questions that I had after reading the other Ex Games books. Brandon and Greyson still had a lot of explaining to do to Katie and Meg and it was done in such a way that had you guessing throughout most of the book what their secrets were. Very good job by J.S. Cooper and I enjoyed this ending.

This is the final icing with the cherry on top for the cake. It is time to wrap up all the lose ends and finally find out what exactly happened at the Private Club that messed so many lives.

Like a Perry Mason episode, pressure will build until the culprit will stand up and confess. Nice way to wrap up our story and set all secrets to rest.

Great series

I loved reading about the characters and I could figure out quickly who was involved but I was blown away by some of the events that happened. I loved how this had Katie, Brandon and love Greyson and Meg and love how it showed what had happened with there characters. I am looking forward to reading The Love Trials next

Made the mistake of reading this before the Private Club. Now the ending spoiled their happy ending. Hope that After the Ex Games hasn't affected the Private Club and any secrets

Greyson and Brandon opened a private club in their college years.
The story went mysterious with unknown (Nancy) POV. Meg is looking for Nancy - 18 year old girl. Patsy seek revenge on Greyson and Brandon. Patsy slept with Brandon one night ago and thought that was the reason Greyson ended things with her and she approached David, the one who loved Maria to join her revenge plans. David even held Nancy at gunpoint. Meg is pregnant with Greyson's baby. Brandon let Nancy lives with her grandparents not knowing Maria was her mother not sister and her grandfather was not his father. Brandon admitted he cared about Nancy and kept track of her life. Then Nancy came barging told Greyson she even aborted her pregnancy because she did not know whether the father of her child was Brandon or Greyson. The gun went off but nobody got shot. Greyson deduced that Patsy was the one who killed Maria. Maria wanted to go public about her relationship with Brandon. She wanted to tell the world that Brandon made her give up his child. She wanted everyone to know that Greyson was the one who had convinced you to do it. She wanted everyone to see what evil bastards Brandon and Greyson were. She was going to go public with Patsy. But Patsy killed her and left note pointing the blame to Brandon so that Greyson will leave his best buddy and be with her. Nancy got arrested. Greyson proposed to Meg and they got double wedding along with Brandon and Katie. Meg sat with Harry in her lap and she thought about Hunter.

FINALLY! My mind is at rest and I can go to sleep knowing that it all fitted into place! I actually read the private club series with Greyson and Meg before reading the ex games and understanding Brandon and Katie's story. However, I'm really glad I read it the wrong way because I fell in love with Greyson and Meg's story. I favourited them and their story kind of reminded me of the This Man series By Jodi Ellen Malpas which I love! It made me want to read more and look at the other series by this author. So I started reading the ex games and I loved Katie's and Brandon's love at the beginning, it made me feel jealous because I wanted a love like that but then things got confusing and twisted and my headaches started increasing because I'm so annoying I want to know everything there and then! I read both parts 1, 2 and 3 in hope to get the riddles sorted out but they never seemed too which I later figured was the authors intention but I'm a 'little' impatient. Anyway, I was kind of put off reading this book but that would have been a mistake because this gave me all the answers I was craving and give me more Meg and Greyson! Yayyyy! It also put a smile on my face when they finally got their HEA and all their worries was gone, so glad it ended as it did! It intrigued me to carry on and read Nancy's story which is what I'm gonna do now, forget sleep! What are Christmas holidays for?:)

WOW.....WOW!!!

JS Cooper, you've done it again!!! You surprise me everytime. I think i've worked it out and have that little smug grin on my face, to have it wiped off and blown away!!.

I am so sad to be saying goodbye to Katie, Brandon, Meg and Greyson, but i am happy at the same time.

Finally all the answers to the questions, the truth is finally going to come out. Who will be left standing? Will anyone get their happily ever after? What happened to Nancy?

They say the truth can set you free, but it can also break you. It can destroy everything you held.

Greyson didn't want to destroy Katie and Brandon's happiness, he thought he was the one who should who took the responsibility as he was the one who wanted to start the Private club, he was the driving force behind it. He didn't think he deserved happiness.

Yes i suspected Patsy was behind it. It was obvious she loved Greyson, yet there was a couple of twists i didn't expect. One that had me gasping. I never, ever connected Nancy and Maria.

I have a few unanswered questions, what happened to David? after all he did pull a gun on Nancy. What will happen to the club now? it was being used to help girls who had hit rock bottom.

I really would like an After, after the ex games. The double wedding, the birth of Meg and Greyson's baby.

4 stars of duo Brendon Hasting and Greyson Twinning all in one book!

5 stars of enjoyment quantity :: smooking mysterious and a bit dangerous heroes, naughty kinky sex, some public sex scene, the element of surprise

4 stars of literature quality :: story based on strong plot, hooked me up flow, not much inspiratonal quotes, the chemistry

i want to give this 5 stars, how could i not tempt to? this book has a lot of potential and show them up constantly till about 75% of the book. i almost certain i would end up as some victim of emotional wreck seeing how my heart racing and tummy churming from the first page. yes, the anticipation and how the plot keep dragging the truth out long. it all been perfect, if the climax told in different way. not in Nancy way. darn, now i want to read how Meg and Katie reaction when theyve been told. a cross POV between the two would be an orgasmic ending. wish it would had done that way.

regardless, the plot and all are so the author style. keeping us at the edge, and that what makes me hook up to this series after all.

now now, i would to ask Brandon a question,
why he suggested Meg to apply to Greyson club if he knows that the club is not for someone who look a real job that create money?

We start off and we get to see some differen`t perspectives on how some things happened in The Private Club. There is still so many secrets to be unleashed. And so many mysteries that needed to be revealed. I started putting two and two together fairly early, if you pay attention to the clues, you can guess who is what and all that good stuff. It was packed full of suspense, lies, manipulation, secrets, and mystery yet again. This is a truly amazing series, but by this time, I was kinda over all the secrets. I get how it all had to be unfolded and etc, it just got to be a bit much for me by the end of all this. I hope Nancy`s book will revolve around something other than lies, mystery, secrets, etc. I`m very excited to read more about her story. If this was truly over I was a bit disappointed we didn`t get to see what happens with Katie and Brandon, Meg and Greyson. I still have many questions and wanted to see if they got that double wedding they wanted lol. So that was a tiny bit disappointing. If that stuff wraps up in Nancy`s story then that will be good and again, looking forward to her story. All in all it was a very good read and it was nice to put the nails in the coffin, so to speak. A must read series all!

AFTER THE EX GAMES (THE EX GAMES 4) by J.S. COOPER & HELEN COOPER

Can I just say that J.S. Cooper knows how to make a storyline that is so gnarly and she just know when and how to throw a freakin curve ball that will shock and surprise you at the same time. This last installment of The Ex Games and The Private Club story is the perfect ending and the questions from The Ex Games story have finally been answered and ya know what? All the confusion and doubts I have when I was reading book 1 all make sense now. I just wanna commend the author of this beautiful, stunning and engaging series for making it and writing it with so much passion and mystery that everything about the characters and their lives made sense. I mean, the fact that all that was written fits everything and it didn’t become messed up or blurry makes me want to hug her. Well-written story and I cannot wait for the next series and her upcoming books. I sooooo love her writing prowess. Amazing.

Brilliant. Engaging. Spectacular.

Must read after ex-games and the private club series***

I loved this book and both series. They were well written, easy to follow, great character development. I fell in love with Brandon and Greyson. I enjoyed the fact that they were both flawed. They made a shit ton of mistakes but in the end they owned up to them. The love they had for their women was obvious throughout.
There were some editing mistakes that were annoying. I also didn't like all the unnecessary angst. I understand what the author was trying to do but it's just not my thing. At some point I wanted to scream at them to confess already!! The whole Nancy ordeal came out of left field for me. A few things from both series seem to have been added along the way. Meaning that there was no cohesiveness to the stories.
Both series were a great read but I'm not sure I want to move on to Nancy's story. After reading a book or a series, I like to have a feeling of finality which I didn't get here. I don't like when authors force me to read another book or series by adding a cliffhanger of sorts. If you have a great product, I will be a returning customer.

I LOVED this book. After the Ex Games is an EPIC ending to an amazing series. Actually two series. Make sure you read all of The Ex Games and The a Private Club books before you read this one. JS Cooper did an amazing job keeping the suspense going until almost the end. I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to know all of Brandon and Greyson's secrets. You definitely get all the answers and more. Patsy is a huge part of this book. I always felt she wasn't as she appeared to be. Katie and Meg are just awesome. Both are so caring and full of love and this book proves it. I wasn't to sure of Nancy after The Private Club books, but you will be really surprised with her in this book. JSCooper did a phenomenal job putting all the pieces together to make all the character stories complete. These are characters you will truly miss. I know I will.

First off I'll mention that I feel I can't fairly review this book. I did enjoy this book much more than the first three. The main character is 18 years old and I think this would be a much better read for someone 18 - 20 something age range. The story-line is for a much younger based than myself and that was my only issue with this book.
Otherwise, Although this is a short story, you really get a lot of background info that helps you really get to know the characters and really helps build the plot. However, I did continue on and read the novellas in the order given on Goodreads. The Ex Games novellas 1-3, then The Private Club novellas 1-3 and then The Ex Games #4 (After the Ex Games) and then The Love Trials novellas 1-3.
I did enjoy some of the novellas more then the others but I think anyone in the 18 - 20 something age range who likes this genre would enjoy these novellas.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really good book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. Even that crazy Pasty. She was in love with somebody that was not in love with her. Anyway Brandon and Katie, then Meg and Greyson. This was about information coming out about their past. The not so nice things they did when they did when they were younger. I think they should have told there ladies all about their past. There was a certain person behind all this information coming out. This found out that one of them had a child when they were young. She was obsessed with one of those mean. But things didn't turn out like she planned. I'm not gonna say who that person is right now. You need to read the book to find out. This was a really great relief. I recommend this book to all mystery and romance readers.

I became addicted to these characters through The Ex Games trilogy and The Private Club trilogy. After The Ex Games gives the readers answers to the questions, resolution for the main characters in these trilogies, and more intrigue for the next upcoming trilogy featuring one of the secondary characters.

J. S. Cooper is a gifted writer and delivers a good story. Readers become very invested in her books.

I highly recommend The Ex Games trilogy, The Private Club trilogy, and After The Ex Games.
