Return to Mystic Water in this adventurous short story, where April Chandler wakes up to find her side of town has flooded, and her apartment is waist deep in lake water. She can't imagine a worse predicament; she hates the water.
But she must get her three dogs, her parakeet, a lost cat, and a stranded neighbor and his ornery dog to safety without capsizing a rickety rowboat. Because of her special way with animals, April keeps the passengers calm and learns that blessings can come out of devastating circumstances.
