This is book two of the series and I have to be honest and say that there were parts I was quite frustrated with.
The positive stuff was that the sex was through the roof HOT! I don’t think anyone can beat our hero in the dirty talker category! Man, can he talk dirty! Whew!!! The relationship that developed between our couple was wonderful and I was hooked for that reason!
The frustration came in for me when I wasn’t getting any answers from the first book; all I was getting was more questions building up. The thing is that the developments that kept coming were on new tangents. It felt like the story line wasn’t consistent... just more and more new directions.. To top it all off, the story ended abruptly and at 82%! This is a very big peeve of mine!
Will I still read the third book? Yep. I’m all in. I just hope we get some answers. Honestly, book two felt like a filler book to me...

Nasty is the second book in the Dirty Nasty Freaks Series. After the massive cliffy in Dirty, I could not get my hands on this book fast enough! Fix and Sera find themselves in a massive dilemma as the truth has been revealed. Despite the circumstances, Fix and Sera cannot deny the passion that exists between them. As Sera's life is in danger, Fix is determined to keep her safe. No matter the cost.
Overall, I highly recommend Nasty to anyone who enjoys a dark romance full of many twists and turns. Be forewarned, there is another major cliffy, however, the presence of a very special character will certainly bring more intrigue to the plot. With complex characters and non-stop action, one thing is certain, Callie Hart never disappoints!

Overall, I highly recommend Nasty to anyone who enjoys a dark romance full of many twists and turns. Be forewarned, there is another major cliffy, however, the presence of a very special character will certainly bring more intrigue to the plot. With complex characters and non-stop action, one thing is certain, Callie Hart never disappoints!

Without interruption in the timeline, Felix Marcosa and Sera Lafferty continue their journey but Sera has many questions for him now that she knows the truth. Though Fix has delicate information, it isn’t enough as they discover dead ends and new layers that complicate their circumstances.
Prepared to make sacrifices for Sera, Fix is determined to take the search all the way to the end. During this time, more is revealed about his past and how it’s connected to his business partner. Simultaneously, the stark reality of Sera’s childhood begins to surface and underscores her need to defend herself.
Told in dual POV, Fix and Sera develop added dimension as they relate to each other and how they deal with threats. While Fix exudes a cocksure attitude, filthy mouth and smart-ass comments, he will also go to great lengths to protect what is his. Sera is a force of her own, and while she’s never met someone like Fix before, she doesn’t hold back no matter the consequences. Together, their chemistry is combustible and I love the push/pull dynamic they share.
This series harkens back to signature Callie Hart with flawed but relatable characters and a narrative that continues to build complex layers. I absolutely adore Fix and his everything that flows from his sinfully erotic tongue. As for Sera, she is quietly complicated but that’s what makes her stronger and admirable.
Nasty is full of edgy, heart pumping action, dark humor and sex appeal. I highly recommend and look forward to see how the story continues, especially with that ending.

4.5 stars - I absolutely loved this second book in the Dirty Nasty Freaks Series. Sera and Felix/Fix are amazing characters and I can't wait to read the last part of their story.

This story was so strong that I couldn't put it down. Callie Hart has a nack for bringing strong characters to the forefront and she definitely did that with Sera. She is a hardass female with a past that not everyone could survive, but she did. Fix is an amazingly complex dominant male. The attraction between Sera and Fix radiates extreme heat from every page and the sex scenes explode in fiery passion scorching the reader with their intensity.
This steady to fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps the adrenaline pumping with lots of suspense, action, drama and passion. Between the chemistry that Sera and Fix have and the mystery that was building in the story I so enjoyed reading this book.
Overall, this was a great read that I highly recommend. This series just gets better and better. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series.

Fix is perfectly imperfect and I fell even more in love with him with this book. His character is so sexy, intriguing, and exciting. His personality is electric and is reflected in each scene of this story. His expressions, his words, his behavior, his actions, his everything was set to tease all of my senses. I feel like every time I think I’m getting to know him, what makes him tick, his true motivations, I then realize that there is so much more to learn about this man. His mysteriousness and his darkness only add to how sexy he is and I can’t get enough of him!
This book picks up right where the last one ended. Sera is more aware of her dire circumstances than ever and quickly realizes that the only person standing in the way of her and certain death is Fix. He’s quickly owning every piece of her. And although she gives a token fight, she knows that they are an eventuality. Despite the things he does, she can’t help but reflect on how perfect he is in her eyes. His flaws only draw her closer. His essence only leaves her hungry for more of him.
The chemistry between these characters was phenomenally illustrated. I could feel the potency of their connection and the fact that their lives were in danger only intensified that feeling. The author created a world that was both terrifying and incredibly alluring. While I wouldn’t want to be caught up in a similar situation, I could definitely see the appeal. Fix is an amazing character and I’m finding that the more that I learn about Sera, the more comfortable she seems in her own skin, the more she comes to accept Fix for exactly who he is, the more I’m loving her as well.
Fix and Sera’s story is far from over. They’ve got a fight on their hands, both literally and figuratively. Fix is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her and discover who intends her harm. And with the introduction of one of my favorite Callie Hart characters of all time (actually one of my favorite characters overall of all time), I can’t imagine where this story is going, but I know it’s going to be one heck of a thrill.

The best part of this was Fix. Seriously he’s a hot damn man.
Why does this series always ends up in a cliffhanger?
Dude, when things were finally getting interesting the book end it.
I honestly prefer the first one, things were more mysterious and funnier.
This one were just Fix being Fix (witch I have absolutely no problem with), and the really great sex scenes.
We find out more about Fix in this book witch I enjoy it. We see him being his badass self.
This book was almost entirely just of Fix POV, Sera didn’t have so many of her own POV in this one has she did the first.
And I most definitely need the final book to be release soon, for I have question and I have absolutely no idea what the answers might be.

Wow another steamer!!! I loved reading Sera’s little backstories/flashbacks!! They were very captivating. And this ending just killed me! Ughhhh such a good cliffhanger!

This book picks up right where book 1 leaves off, so if you have not read Dirty
, do not read this one (also if you have not read the first book, this review will contain spoilers).
When we left off, Sera just found out that Since Fix is now totally in protector mode, he decides that he needs to keep Sera safe at all costs, so he is now completely committed to helping her As things start to get more intense with respect to the danger they are both in, their attraction to each other seems to become almost combustible. But will they be able to find out who is after them? And even if they do, how can a priest-turned-hitman and a woman with a tragic past trying to live a normal life ever find their HEA?
What I liked:
--- Learning more about the MCs and their backgrounds; makes a little more sense now that we know
--- Nonstop action in this one from the get-go
--- While I have not read the other series, the end of this book intersects with the Blood & Roses (
) series' H, so even though the author says you don't have to read it to enjoy the next book in this trilogy, I already have it so I will check it out
--- Steamy goodness - scorching hot! And not just the sex scenes themselves - they are practically inhaling each other when fully dressed - the chemistry is off the charts!
What I didn't like as much:
--- Felix still seems over the top about Sera for someone who is a hardened hit man... he is almost cheesy about it which feels inconsistent with the rest of his character's personality
--- Something is not adding up about Monica; I am obviously very sympathetic with respect to what she has been through (that we learn about in this book), but something feels off about her
--- Still some outstanding issues - not sure if they get resolved but for now, they feel like plot holes
--- I think I have an idea about who done it , but I hope I am wrong bc as it stands right now, it would make this story kind of weak unless there is much more that I don't know yet (so I didn't "deduct" stars for this; just putting it out there)
I liked this book better than the first, maybe because we learn more about the characters and get some more background...? At any rate, this one held my interest so much that I read it in one sitting. I am going to read the Blood & Roses series so I know more about Zeth before finishing this trilogy.

4 dark and deliciously dirty stars!
Fix is back, baby, and whoa, what a ride! Dark, dangerous, exciting, suspenseful, surprisingly swoony and stupidly sexy, the second instalment of Fix and Sera's story had me captivated from start to finish.
Dirty introduced us to badass hitman, Fix Marcosa, and good girl with a tortured past, Sera Lafferty. After ending up stuck together in a hotel room, their sizzling chemistry began a whirlwind journey which ended on a hideous cliffhanger. This book picks up right where that one left off, and in the midst of heartache, betrayal and fear, secrets are revealed, and thing between them will never be the same.
And as Fix and Sera begin the search for a dangerous new threat, Sera finds herself transported even further into Fix’s dark and deadly world, and even more transfixed by the dangerously seductive man that she cannot resist as he pulls out everything he’s got to save his girl.
God, I love this love story! It’s dark and gritty, and exploding with chemistry. Fix and Sera cannot keep their hands off each other and the sex is passionate, intense and full of dirty talk and a touch of depravity. Fix encourages Sera to embrace all that he can make her feel, and she’s only too happy to comply, and it’s damn hot!
And in the midst of all of that intense sexual heat, there is still an element of humour as Fix jokes, teases and banters his way into Sera’s heart, and it’s such a great balance for a wonderfully developed character! And to add even further complexity to him, we get to see a bit more of his backstory which I really enjoyed, and which allowed us to get to know him a bit more.
Sera’s strength continues to impress me. Yes, she’s in danger, but she’s certainly no doormat, and she is more than a match for Fix as she stands toe-to-toe with him like the beautiful badass that she is!
There’s more action, excitement, and some suspense as Fix and Sera work together to seek out the threat and eliminate it, but in the middle of it all is a beautifully developing romance as their feelings for each other continue to grow, and big, badass Fix brings the swoon.
It ends on another cliffy, though not too painful and one that actually made me squeal out loud and has me hugely excited with where it’s all going to go from here.

There’s more action, excitement, and some suspense as Fix and Sera work together to seek out the threat and eliminate it, but in the middle of it all is a beautifully developing romance as their feelings for each other continue to grow, and big, badass Fix brings the swoon.
“When you’re with me, you’re not vulnerable. When you’re with me, you are safe. When you’re with me, you will never be alone. And as for your heart, Sera. I’ll make sure it’s beating too fast for you to ever feel it ache again.”
It ends on another cliffy, though not too painful and one that actually made me squeal out loud and has me hugely excited with where it’s all going to go from here.

Gahh!! The minute a new Callie Hart story hits my kindle I am giddy with excitement as she ALWAYS takes us on a dirty, sexy adventure with all the feels. That is exactly what we got with Nasty as I couldn't get enough of Fix and Sera. This story was sexy and full of adrenaline rushes as Fix and Sera are now on a mission to discover the truth after that crazy cliffhanger ending in book one!
I was looking forward to the second installment in the Dirty Sexy Freaks series as I couldn't get over book one. We are now back with the dangerous, dark and broody assassin Felix "Fix" Marcosa and Sera Lafferty, the woman he was assigned to kill. But what's different about this book is we get more insight into the troubled and abused past of Sera and frankly how much Fix cares for her. I LOVED seeing how strong Sera was. She was forged from fire and stronger as a result of it. Likewise seeing Fix brought down to his knees by this strong and sassy woman was just brilliant!
All in all, this story was fantastic! Fix and Sera's chemistry was FIRE and the sexytimes were scorching!! I loved the progression of the story and the ending was just INSANE!!! OMGGGG!! I can't wait for more! Bravo! 4 Stars! ~Ratula

Callie has only gone and done it again, belted our another freaking masterpiece, a masterpiece filled with sexy, fun and dangerous times.
Fix and Sera are back for a second round following the cliffhanger in the first book. We’re started with the aftermath of Sera’s revelation of who Felix truly is and what he wanted.

The amount of PLOT in this book. I feel like 700 things happened, all introduced with nuance and complexity. Intricate and believable and well done. Felix and Sera are great characters— he’s fucking hot and commanding and she’s a fighter. I like them together, they’re partners and equals. I hope they get all of the justice and revenge they deserve.
I’m nervous, I don’t want the third and final book to disappoint me!!

Nasty picks up right where we left off in Dirty. Sera knows the truth about Fix and understandably she isn't happy with him, although it doesn't take her long to forgive him. I really love Sera's strength, we get another glimpse of her past and it is so painful my heart broke for her. I really hope she tells Fix what Sixsmith made her do so he can kill him. No matter what he did or why he did it I still love Fix. He is a bit obsessed with Sera and there is no way he is letting her go. The chemistry between these two is super hot. I can't wait to find out who Carver is because where my mind has gone it is so messed up Sera would be heartbroken. I hope I'm so wrong lol, and that cliffhanger oh boy Callie your killing me.

Isn't Fix a nasty guy....
Dirty left me screaming and Nasty started out, not on the same vibe, but what an introduction, or rather re-introduction to Sera and Fix's incredible chemistry.... woo....Callie Hart wrote some memorable, and some of my favorite sex scenes in her other books, and I could recognize her style in Nasty.
That 2nd installment is more than chemistry, sex and passion, though. The remaining questions and mystery had me riveted to the pages. Chapter after chapter, the main characters reveal their pasts through rather gruesome flashbacks, giving some answers concerning Fix, and mostly leaving me with more questions about Sera. That brought out a very fun brainstorming session with a good book friend, when the most crazy theories was imagined.
I loved the trust and bond Sera and Fix share. They have also an interesting dynamic. Fix is dangerous but also very protective. Sera is strong, and we learn her how strong she can be, but she has deep vulnerabilities, too.
Eventually, Nasty finished in apotheosis, with a suspenseful, and adrenaline (and testosterone) filled predicament.... TWIST. I'm still in the impossibly to choose what I would like to happen. But, seriously, who am I kidding? I know what my choice would be and I can't wait to read Freaks to find out where Callie is going to lead us.

This series is too much but in a good way. Fix and Sera are still together which is so good but the intense and the suspense just keeps getting more and more hyped or mindboggling cause I DID NOT EXPECT the last chapter to be a cliffhanger and a SURPRISE.

The first book blew my mind, despite how annoyingly cocky the hero was.
One can only talk about his big dick's magical powers so much, before you actually want to punch said dick, also because men like him tend to exclusively think with their appendages.
Surprisingly, this guy here is also a decent human being, afflicted a little too much by the savior complex.
"Nasty", however, dragged too much and nothing important really happened.
Still, I need to know how it'll all end.

So far, I have enjoyed and loved everything written by Callie Hart.
She writes the greatest anti-heroes, the sassiest heroines, and the most epic dark romances. Her heroes are always the antithesis of everything good. They're downright dangerous, ruthless and chaotic men, ready to destroy anything that stands against them. Her heroines are sassy and strong, capable of keeping themselves together, even when bad men who do bad things make them question their sanity.
In short, Callie Hart cannot do me any wrong.
I adore her unconventional, sinful characters.
I love her story-telling.
I admire her writing.
“This is what happens when you go looking for death instead of running in the opposite direction. You find it. Or, inevitably, it finds you.”
Nasty begins where Dirty ended, not interrupting the timeline.
Sera has difficult to answer questions after discovering the horrifying truth of Felix Marcosa. Though Fix has the delicate information to answer some of them, Sera's burning curiosity isn't stated. With new leads resulting in dead ends and extra layers to complicate matters further, the relationship between Fix and Sera is teetering.
“I will never break you, Sera Lafferty. What would be the point? That fiery defiance that burns inside you? I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I adore it. I worship it.”
Determined to uncover an anonymous threat, Fix is ready to sacrifice everything to keep Sera safe. She finds herself delving further into the dark and deadly world Fix is bound to. There's an increased amount of action and excitement, certainly more angst and suspense as Fix and Sera worth together to eliminate their lurking dangerous threat. But in the middle of this mayhem is a beautifully blossoming relationship as Fix and Sera's feelings for each other continue to change and morph into something wonderful.

OMG, 5+ Stars!! This series keeps getting better and better; I couldn’t put it down. I finished it this morning and haven’t stopped thinking about it. I’m still processing. This intensely twisted and powerful story has me anxious….emotional…..left my head spinning. Seriously….I don’t know….I’m worried and can’t wait for the next one.
I love Fix!! His character is arrogant, funny, passionate, dominant…so protective. On one side he’s this really bad dude but I love the lighter sides of him and he’s so good to Sera. I enjoyed seeing his sweeter side, his casual and comfortable side away from all the messed up. I also really love the darker parts of them! There are some intensely sensual scenes with impressive chemistry between these two that left me breathless and even a bit tearful. Sera’s tough and downright terrifying at times as well. At Rabbit’s house, it was a bit intense; I was afraid for her but more for them. I also couldn’t stop smiling at Fix’s reaction. She’s awesome! It was hard to read about her past but I’m glad we got some more to her story. I am in awe of her strength and determination to have what she wants. At the same time concerned how she'll truly handle living in Fix’s world.
Callie Hart has an incredible ability to draw me in to her books. With her detailed storytelling and in depth characters I am easily hooked! The next book can’t come soon enough; the ending…..I’m beyond ready for more. I can’t wait to see how she ties this up.

After Dirty’s Ending, I didn’t know how or if it was even possible for Fix and Sera to find common ground again, considering the reason their lives crossed paths in the first place and the fact that there are still unknown obstacles that await them.
But despite the difficult position that Fix and Sera find themselves in, Fix remains his total badass and cocky self and the more time he spends with Sera and learns about her past and her inner strength, the more consumed he becomes with her, which means that his initial task is no longer his current mission, and while he vows to protect Sera no matter what they encounter, the fact that Fix has to bring back ‘The Priest’ doesn’t bode to well for him, especially since he has a new set of orders, which leads him into a den of vipers and with who he meets up with at the end of Nasty, I truly don’t know if Fix will come out on top because Fix might be a contract killer, the person that he’s up against definitely isn’t afraid to get bloody or messy if it means he comes out the victor. It’s going to be one hell of a fight!
The second book in Fix and Sera’s story reveals some pertinent information about both of them, and the insights that readers get about who Fix was, why he chose that life and his reasons for leaving it all behind explains everything we need to know to have a clearer picture of the holy man he was and the merciless killer he is now. But regardless of all of the new details learned, there are still many questions left unanswered as well as new ones put into the mix and they’re ones that readers will have to wait to be answered until the next book in Fix and Sera’s story is told.
Nasty is the perfect title for the continuation of Fix and Sera’s storyline, partly because of Fix’s profession and the methods he uses to complete his tasks, but also because as Fix and Sera live in the shadows, trying hard to stay out of the light because it could get them killed, the biggest obstacle they have to contend with is how to stay alive when a bounty is more than likely placed on top of both of their heads, and while I don’t doubt Fix’s feelings for Sera and his ability to take care of her even while they’re on the run, the variables that neither of them know about just might be the very things that tear them apart, and while I hope that’s not the case, I’m going to have to wait to test my theory when book three goes live!

The second installment in Callie Hart's Dirty Nasty Freaks series took a drastic turn. Maybe it was because of the time period between the first and second one for me, but I almost felt like this was from a different series than the first one... but in a good way. Questions were answered, but then even more popped up!
Callie Hart is very creative, and I enjoyed the thought she put into making this series original and suspenseful all the way through. Usually, the second book in a series is all about plot development and strengthening the characters' relationship with each other, and while that happened, she also introduced new, integral characters, plot points, and, of course, games. I always really like her books, but a part of that is because I know when to read them. If you're in the mood for something deep, emotional and meaningful- which I know I sometimes am- this series probably isn't the way to go. But if you want something medium-dark and HOT, almost like book candy, you certainly can't go wrong with this one!
The cliffhanger was brutal, but in the best possible way. I'm so excited about the surprise appearance at the end that I can hardly contain myself! I'm sure I'll be finishing the third book & reviewing the series soon; Fix & Sera's story, told in alternating POV, demands to be consumed as quickly as possible. The balance of suspense, gritty violence, and filthy sex is perfection.
The extra half star is for Fix. Goddam, Callie Hart can write an alpha, bad-boy hero. Zeth Mayfair is still my all-time favorite Hart hero, but I'd be lying if I said Fix wasn't climbing up the leaderboard. His deliciously filthy mouth really seals the deal.

Nothing like dropping another interesting piece of information only to be left hanging and then try to reconcile it, especially after having read Callie's other books.
After Dirty, which must be read first, I was dying for this book. I, unfortunately, had to wait to read it but now that I have I NEED the next book. This book picks up right where Dirty leave off but I don't think we actually got any answers in this book. We certainly get to learn more about Sera and Fix and this book felt like it was putting all of the pieces into position for the conclusion.
Sera has taken the news surprisingly well and she is a badass in her own right. She has learned to take matters into her own hands and she is turning out to be a fierce character. She wants answers and will do anything to get them. All of the clues paint her out to be something that she is not and they mystery goes beyond just a hit. There has been information that seems fabricated, or is it??? And do the glimpses of her past have anything to do with the future?
Fix is such an interesting character. His history is unique, his personality is unique and his tongue is unmatched. He is determined to get the bottom of this story and in doing so we get to see what his life is like. We meet his associates and get an inside seat into his world. I am completely smitten with him and there are no boundaries he will not push to find the truth. We also get little bits of his past and the way in which his bad deeds are catching up to him.
Fast-paced, juicy and full of suspense, Nasty is the perfect middle to this story. I found the side characters complex and the appearance of none of than Zeth-motherfucking-Mayfair was a treat that leads to a million more questions.

In this one we get some more bits in the past of Sera and I must say I hate what she went through. It makes me want to become a Fix if you know what I mean..
Sera is a very strong person who went through so much heartache and misery that it's admirable that she's still standing and fighting. I'm also glad we didn't get to see a lot of those horrible things from her past, because it blinds me with red rage.. I know it's just a book.. But this is real life for a lot of people so it isn't something to take lightly!
I love how cocky Felix is because it always makes me smile and it makes those harder things a bit lighter.
What a journey this one is! On to the next and last one!

Nasty picks up where we were left at the end of Dirty.
In this book we learn more about Sera and Fix, I swear these two have stolen my heart and I'm rooting for them all the way.
Sera has grown in this book and is looking at life in a different manner. She's become, bold, doesnt hold back and is sassy and bit badassy. I was so proud of her in Certain scenes of this book.
Fix is well how should I put it Fix! He's still Cocky arrogant and full of himself but we also see a bit of his softer side in this book.
Did I mention how hot those sex scenes are?? They are HOT AS F***
