"Love Is Madness" by Elisabeth

My Thoughts....

A quite enjoyable emotional fantasy read that will grab you and keep you pulled in until the very end. I love vampire reads that gives the reader a interesting storyline with a mixture of good over evil and in the end only the 'good will prevail' for Uriel and Seraphina. Be ready for a twist and turn ride that will take you on a journey that starts off with a love hate relationship that will develop into something quite a beautiful romance in the end and yes I agree with the title "Love Is Madness."

Okay I enjoyed this book, but there were a few tidbits that needed to be fleshed out some more in order to get the whole picture. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's a paranormal read. Seraphina has lived most of her life captive in a testing facility, where the test subjects are of the supernatural persuasion. She has no idea what she is or why they run so many test on her, but in order to control her and her power she is continuously dosed with a synthetic drug. (And she hears voices, but that was never really explained or given a reason as to why). Uriel, rockstar and son of a fallen angel, meets her on the night she intended to end her life. He saves her, only to find that her blood is irresistible.

I liked this story, and it had a good plot with interesting characters that I would love to read more of. But a few things could have been better explained like Seraphina's powers and Uriel and his twin brother's backstory. I would have liked to see Seraphina adjusting to actual normal life, after her confinement in the facility. Not to mention the non-consensual bits between her and Uriel. He had a little more atonement to do, and I wish that was expounded on more with Seraphina, since love doesn't magically wash away acts of violation. But over all I enjoyed it.

A good read

It was something different but good. I wanted to know what made Seraphina not trust Dina. What was Dina up to? What was her true intentions when she gave Seraphina drugs because fun wasn't it? I would have never thought that Uriel seemed to be destined to be there for her when she needed him most. His father was a jealous, conniving monster that brought death to his sons' door. How heartless a man can be? Too bad plans are not always full proof. I enjoyed reading Uriel unexplainable allure towards Seraphina. A wonderful HEA that will surprise you.

I wanted to give this book 4.5 or 5 stars but I felt like a lot was missing. The last 20% of the book felt rushed and not complete. It was good, just confusing.

You definitely have to have an imagination reading this book.

This is my second book by Elisabeth and I really like her work.

Love is addicting

To be honest I had no idea what this book was about but I'm glad I decided to read it. I had no idea that this book would be a paranormal romance. Uriel did not have the best intentions for Seraphina in the beginning. He was actually quite brutal. As his feelings grew for her he became quite obsessed with her. The feelings were mutual. They had their challenges and things were happening that you couldn't have predicted. That's why I liked this book. I look forward to more books by this author.

I enjoyed this book

I kept seeing this book as a recommendation and I was reluctant due to the non human aspect having read a few not so good ones. I am so glad I have in a room a chance. Very different from anything else I have read and hope we see these characters again.

Uriel and Seraphina story pulled me in and wouldn’t let go. Hot sexy and alpha meets tortured sweet with some sass. After the demons from their past spills hell over their live, Love becomes the ultimate healer. A highly recommended read!

What an imaginative story

Uriel Hendrix, a hybrid divinated being managed to find love after centuries. He and his brother Nate, were cursed through the sins of their selfish father Sariel. This story ultimately is about the healing powers of love. Seraphina Rene de Cotret was originally bred to kill Uriel unbeknownst to her. Uriel was unexplainable drawn to her and ultimately, they fell in love despite opposition.

Their love for each other saved them from the curses and healed Sera. Uriel and Seraphina were finally able to have their HEA, even though Uriel was believed to be dead. He was blessed with a bonus once he found Sera again.

Elizabeth wrote a very imaginative story that held my attention from beginning to end. Uriel and Seraphina were very complicated characters. Uri, a hybrid divinated Nephilim vampire, was an ultimate no holds barred alpha. He tolerated very little from others, until he saved Sera. Poor Seraphina was brain wash into thinking she was cursed to kill the ones she loved. Uri saved her in more ways than one. They saved each other through the power of love.

Good, but confusing

So I admit I struggled a bit deciding what to give this book star wise. Overall the concept was really good, but I think the execution was a little off. There were a lot of paranormal/angel/mythical elements and the way the story unfolded left me a little like...huh (o_0). I felt like the story was a little rushed which compacted these large elements and didn't give them the needed time to develop and play out properly.

Also, there were no scene breaks in the chapters which left me reading then suddenly jarred out of the story, because there was a shift that I didn't realize, leaving me confused and a little lost.

But the story overall was very good, and I enjoyed the characters. Uriel was a bad boy to the bone. I am interested to see how the other members of the band find love. Especially, Garveel. :)

This book was crazy.

I was lost for the first chapter because he save her from death but i was confused was he an vampire or something else. I got that later on when they went to the garden of Eden. I must say I was very shock an for her, I would never guess she was a banshee. That was like what.??!!. I must say i did enjoy the book this was a new twist to the fallen. I would read another in this series if there is one for i like different powers the band has an that they all are under the band leader ,who was like their king. I would like his twin brother to be the next story. I would go deeper but i don't want t9 give the book away. I love the story.

Interesting.

This story was interesting, especially the second half of the book. I honestly wasn’t much of a fan of Uriel in the beginning. I’m usually on board when the H has some asshole tendencies but he was too much. I feel like I never got much personality from Seraphina. I absolutely enjoyed the second half of the book and wish that part of the story had been expanded on and a bigger part of the story. I also wished to see a longer epilogue after the were reunited.

Still a pretty good read, I just didn’t love the beginning of the story but read it for yourself!

Yessss!

Not your typical leading man, but boy was he delicious. They unknowingly were meant to come together, but not for a good reason. Love might have separated them, but it also saved them. This story was very sexy, so exciting and I loved the ending. I can't wait for Nate, Gav and maybe even Orias' story. This author is really talented, and I'm glad I happened across the cover of Incendiary and loved it and the writing just as much.

Hilarious and Sexy

My God Uriel is Sexy, Sadistic, Humorous, and I love that about him. Author Elizabeth takes you on a wonderful, Sinful Journey with her Best Alpha Yet. When you first meet Uriel you wanted to Punch him in the Face, Kick him in his Jewels. But most of all, You want to love his Cray Cray self like Serephina. Tremendously exceptional Book.

Good story

Although we are introduced to the female lead as a seemingly weak and wounded character, as the story progresses we see her gaining insight, losing dependency, and becoming a force to be reckoned with. I enjoyed her progression. The male lead also had to overcome ennui, arrogance. Interesting concept - fallen angel hybrids with vampiric effects.

Wow!!!

This book was definitely better than I thought it was going to be, the reviews are so right. The cover threw me off, none the less after the cover was a complete page turner. I read the other book with Mr. Troy, so I thought Nate would be next. Didn't matter, Uriel did not disappoint. It was fast, intriguing and sexy. I'm looking forward to Nate!

Great read

Thoroughly enjoyed this story though I was surprised by the brutality of Uriel towards Seraphina and other people - hardly angelic behaviour. Once he falls in love, the story becomes rd more interesting as we find out Seraphina is an enigma. A lot of mystery surrounds her. Great story! I do hope that Nate, Gavreel and Orias get their own story!!
