The Ivy Lessons:
An aspiring young actress winning a full ride to a prestigious college, owned by an elusive man, to be taught by an acclaimed academy award winner, with demons of his own, one who is known for his strict classes and belief in discipline.
Marc has a reputation, yet Sophia finds herself fascinated by this man. What Sophia wanted, she knew she couldn’t have, in her heart and mind, she knew, was forbidden, being naive didn’t stop her, but the heart wanted, what the heart wanted, and what she wanted was Marc, he knew it too, and in the end they couldn’t deny the inevitable.
Denying there attraction to one another was hard, but when they came together it was electrifying. The way they loved each other, knowing there relationship is forbidden, at every chance, Marc gave Sophia a out, but she held steadfast, determined to prove herself worthy, there love provocative, the romance heartwarming and beautiful, there love so passionate, they desire each other above all else, defying those who would get in there way.
Sophia can’t help but be responsive to the way Marc touches her, the way he makes her feel, she is determined not to feel, but she has this need inside of her that only he can satiate, for him to take her on a sensual and erotic journey, to wield his iron clad control over her and dominate her body, drowning her entire being in unthinkable pleasures.

With there relationship finally out in the open, Sophia is struggling to come to terms with the malicious gossip of what is being said about her in the press. Marc, still over protective, controlling and dominant will do anything and everything to keep her safe a protected.
When she is offered a role, not of her choosing, sought out to boost publicity, because of said gossip, she jumps at the chance to prove herself, but in the ensuing process, not being allowed to make her own choices, decisions and mistakes, inadvertently costs her relationship with Marc.
Sophia holds a love for Marc like no other, but it affects her semblance, and it begins to hurt her personally and professionally, and her budding relationship with her costar Leo, throws a spanner into the works.
Eventually, Sophia seeks help from Marc, using bold tactics to bolster her confidence and self-esteem, which seems to have worked in her favour, allowing her to give a stellar performance.
However, even though Sophia has the support of her dad, Jen and her college class mates, there are those out there, seething with jealousy (Cecile) and a deceptively dangerous reporter (Giles), both working together, with underlying motives out to hurt Sophia and Marc for personal and professional gain, to cause them pain, to achieve there end result.

They have no choice but to acquiesce to his ultimatum, in doing so, he will give his blessing for there marriage. The time apart proves challenging for both, Sophia’s love for Marc, strong as ever, Marc’s control, hanging on by a thread. Leo tests the waters with Sophia, but finds she can’t reciprocate his feelings, because of her unwavering commitment to Marc.
And then comes the fall out from the Getty arrest, Marc’s protectiveness goes into overdrive, doing anything and everything to keep her safe, yet Sophia becomes another unwilling victim in the crazy machinations of those loyal to Getty, inflicting unthinkable pain against Sophia in there quest for revenge.

As Marc and Sophia settle into there lives as newlyweds, the next chapter comes with a whole set of new challenges: making her first movie and discovering that she’s pregnant.
Marc is apprehensive about Sophia doing this movie, but Sophia heeding Marc’s warning, goes against his wishes and accepts the part, taking his possessiveness to a whole new level, doing anything and everything to protect Sophia during the production of her first movie and whilst being pregnant, shielding her from learning the truth about his past, brushing her off every chance he gets, lying to protect his wife in a ruthless business.
The making of the movie doesn’t come without its challenges, especially the eclectic palette of her co-stars who all share a connection in some way, in the process in-sighting a lot of love hate relationships full of passion, heat filled arguments, jealousy and hot s€x.
And in the end, a surprise proposal between Leo and Jen (who FYI get caught doing the dirty by Sophia) after said proposal, the truth is revealed about Marc’s half-brother Michael, new relationships are formed, existing relationships still going strong, but the best part was the birth of there daughter Ivy (who Marc, was convinced was a boy) Those twists and turns, the author knows how to write, to ensnare her readers to ensure they’ll come back for more.

As Marc and Sophia settle into there new roles as parents to there daughter Ivy, next comes the challenge of balancing motherhood and a career as an actress, and when she is offered the leading role in her next movie, it causes discord between her and Marc.
Marc, still ever so controlling, doesn’t have faith that Sophia has what it takes to fulfil this role, he feels that she still needs to be taught, how to learn to hone her craft as an actress. And when the cast is revealed, Marc is not too pleased with certain people, one being a ladies man, the other who played a pivotal role in making him the man that he is today, and the only way he knows to ensure that she is safe and protected is to get himself cast in the movie too.
This leads to more of Marc’s past coming out, continuing to ruffle feathers in there marriage, not only that, Benjamin reveals he has feelings for Sophia, who turns him down gently, but even then Cassandra does everything in her power to come between Marc and Sophia, using Leo as a pawn in her manipulative attempts to get back at Marc, only for Sophia to unsuspectingly catch Leo and Cassandra doing the dirty, and being the loyal friend that she is tells Jen the truth.
Amidst all the jealousy and scandal, a wedding that was called off is now back on, calling out his mistake for what is, and declaring his love for his woman (he’s so very lucky that she took him back!), Sophia being acknowledged with an accolade, her efforts as an actress paying off, Marc giving his brother Michael a chance to be in there and Ivy’s lives, and there happily ever after was perfectly written and the best ending ever. Those twists and turns, the author knows how to write, to ensnare her readers to ensure they’ll come back for more.

This novella was the icing on the cake, the backstory into Marc’s past, giving the readers an insight as to why he is the way he is, and who helped him to recognise the urges that he had inside of himself, how to hone the darkness within himself and through these experiences he learned self-control.
His past, what he did and who he did it with, was dark, twisted and depraved. And when Sophia entered the picture, Marc was captivated from the get go. Captivated by her beauty, her innocence and her light. He decided in that moment he wanted her, he had to have her, he never met someone who could shake his control the way Sophia did.
The thoughts he harbours about Sophia, eats away at his conscience, and when Marc was on the precipice, he told Sophia that she was no good for him, she made a choice, a choice to see what she could have with him, to see where this relationship could go, that she wasn’t afraid, she wanted this, and Marc he wanted it too, then Marc did the unthinkable, he stepped over that forbidden line, and he being the teacher and Sophia being the student, they engaged in an elicit erotic affair.
Through Marc’s POV we got to see the roller coaster of emotions that he went through, to convince himself that they shouldn’t be together, how he didn’t want to expose Sophia to his dark past, his dark and dirty secrets, to keep her pure and whole, but it’s Sophia who, despite the darkness and depravity that Marc has inside of himself, she accepts him, wholeheartedly for who he is, for she is the light to his darkness and whatever comes there way they will face together.
Overall, there story was raw and sensual, as it was powerful and confronting. Even though they both had issues they needed to work through, there love for each other heartbreakingly beautiful. It was fast paced and thrilling, it made my heart race and soar to unfathomable heights. The need to see there growing attraction, the lust and fear, to own and dominate, retaliate, to take control, god it was hot.
I was hooked from the very first chapter right up until the last, it told a telling story, the complex family dynamics between the characters and the enduring friendships that were made, made for some of the most pivotal, yet defining moments of this story, there was definitely some funny lol moments and WTF moments, but it’s those moments that will stick with the readers, long after the story has finished. The author knows how to write, to ensnare her readers to ensure they’ll come back for more, me I’ll definitely come back for more.

I was hooked from the very first chapter right up until the last, it told a telling story, the complex family dynamics between the characters and the enduring friendships that were made, made for some of the most pivotal, yet defining moments of this story, there was definitely some funny lol moments and WTF moments, but it’s those moments that will stick with the readers, long after the story has finished. The author knows how to write, to ensnare her readers to ensure they’ll come back for more, me I’ll definitely come back for more.

Intense love story in movie world.
Suzy K Quinn, Ivy Series Teacher Student Romance
English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.
In general I think that everyone is free to chose the partner he/she loves. But sometimes I doubt if a relationship between two people in which one person has a much more powerful position than the partner is wise. For - in my opinion - a relationship between lovers who are equal has the best chance of succes. So reading about a love between a famous teacher/actor and a young female student idolating him, gave me a feeling of “is it credible that they are building a good relationship?”. But Suzy K Quinn convinced me completely. The young student - however inexperienced she was - is strongwilled enough to stand her ground in matters that are important for her. And he adores her and so - sometimes fiercely protesting - gives in.
The result is a well written love story between two headstrong characters playing in the fascinating world of actors, moviemakers and media. Spicy dialogues, hot sex scenes, a range of interesting characters and a nce insight in the filmworld.
And all that in a style easy to read. Well done Suzy Quinn.

I liked this story. Mark and Sophie have instant chemistry and even though he’s her professor, they are close in age.
Sophie’s life is kind of mundane... until she gets accepted to ivy college, in a full scholarship. She is elated,but worries about her dad and step brother. Her stepmom is quite useless. However, she accepts the scholarship and goes to Ivy.
From there it gets more interesting... but you’ll have to read/listen!!

Someone recommended this author to me. Not my normal genre. The storyline is ok but repetitive - particularly the frequent sex bits (which get a bit tedious). I suspect this book was written in the back of the success of Fifty Shades. You will enjoy this book if you like 'rich man meets poor girl and they fall in love and have lots of kinky sex' types of book. An irritation to me was the number of typos and continuity issues in the book.

Outstanding.
The entire series grips you from the first word. You fall in love with all the characters, some you love to love & some you love to hate. Great love story, complete with bumps & hiccups like many a true romance but with endless money & name dropping. Think all will love the full series.

FORBIDDEN STUDENT TEACHER LOVE
Oh my word. I read the whole series in 3 days I just could not stop! I'm not usually a fan of trilogies and more but this series has everything angst, steamy light bdsm scenes and a love story that gripps the reader from the first book till the very last! I will definitely read more from this author!

Was gripping, last bit dragged.
It was gripping to start with, then there was a lull 1,200-1,450 pages. Struggled to read them last few hundred.
