Lucky Star is a cute celebrity and best friends to lovers romance book that keeps you rooting for a couple who are clearly meant to be together. It's frustrating at times but it will make you laugh and keep your heart full.

Cameron and Sarah have been best friends for a while. After one long night of drinking, things happen and Cameron knows it it time to make his move. Problem is, he went about it all wrong and now he's forced to show her just how much the belong together. However, one thing after the other seems to come between them. He's just landed the row of a lifetime and now he's being told to have a fake romance with his co-star. Further separating him from the one woman he's loved forever. He's faced with the task of figuring out how to get of this charade and make Sarah his.

I actually really liked this story. I thought the character development was great and I enjoyed the writing style. I will be honest and say that I thought there was a bit too much filler in some places. It dragged on in some parts. Maybe it was just me being impatient to see what is going to happen next, I'm not sure.

Cameron stole my heart for how much he loved Sarah and how much he wanted to show the world. He's constantly telling her how beautiful she is and generally so in love that it kept a smile on my face. Even when they were being frustrating and allowing his new fame to get in the way.

Overall I enjoyed Lucky Star. If you like celebrity and/or best friends to lovers romance then you don't want to miss this one. Who doesn't love a story where you root for the couple and fight against Hollywood? Get it now!

LUCKY STAR is a friends to lovers romance. Between up and coming Hollywood star Cameron and his best friend Sarah.

Cameron and Sarah have been best friends for years. As their friendship grew so did their feelings for each. They both kept their growing feelings a secret. Until a night of drunken revelry leads to a whole lot more, that neither of them know how to deal with.

Just when they are honest with each other in wanting more than friendship. There's a huge obstacle thrown their way. The production company Sarah works for offers Cameron the role of a lifetime. But with it comes the expectation that he publicly "date" his co-star. To add to all the hype and gain even more interest in the film. Will Cameron and Sarah's relationship survive when it's so new?

I liked both of these characters sometimes one more than the other, and wanted to see them get their HEA. But sometimes i found myself frustrated at them, i wanted to shout at them what are you playing at!!! But i think that is great in a story, no matter what feelings it invoke's if it makes you feel then its a good read.

Friends to lovers, the hard way….

Ahh, I love the friends to lovers trope! Mutual admiration, respect, like – a great foundation to build on. I would have thought this the case for Cameron and Sarah but I almost was proven wrong…

Cameron wasn’t an alpha male, instead he was a man with feelings and aspirations he didn’t mind sharing with his bestie. They were equals and shared their highs and lows with each other. If he wanted Sarah as more than a friend, he wasn’t going to say that out loud, afraid to mess up what they had. Sarah was hiding similar feelings, both stuck in the friend zone until suddenly, they weren’t. When these two connected, the sexy was hot and you could feel the emotions behind it. All should have been fantastic but, wait, not so fast…

Cameron’s star was rising but Sarah’s self-esteem was determined to sabotage their new, fragile relationship. How they both reacted to the resulting situations made for drama exactly what Hollywood wishes for. I liked the characters, was hoping they worked things out, even as I struggled with some of their decisions, their reactions. Not to mention names of course, cough, Cameron… Thankfully, all the ups and downs ended happily as a satisfying ending wrapped things up nicely….

Goes down as another off my 2017 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book set somewhere you have travelled to. L.A. Hollywood to be specific. Holy hell, how hot are they when they get together! Talk about scorching, you may need to fan yourself down in places when these two get frisky.

So Sarah has only recently realised that she has fallen completely in love with her best friend Cameron. Being too scared to say anything she tries her best to hide those feelings thinking nothing could ever come of them. She, at first, doesn’t seem that confident in herself (especially in regards to her looks/weight) and can’t see why or how he could ever want her. Living in L.A. has taken its toll on her a bit. She’s healthy with curves that most women wish for, living in a world of stick thin women. A drunken night back at hers and Cameron’s soon starts to change her mind. She’s almost in that dozy sleep stage right up to he’s holding her face, gazing in her eyes. The look he gives her is pure lust and something snaps. He may have held back to see if she would make a move but when she does all bets are off. Talk about zero to fifty – strike that a hundred – in the passion-o-meter. Shame a its like a bucket of ice falls over them when she mentions a condom. You feel just as crushed as she does when he walks out without looking at her. To then ignore her for a month and all you want to do is smack him upside the head, well until you find out his reasons. Seems she’s not the only one keeping her true feelings a secret.

Cameron has been in love with Sarah from pretty much the moment they met after she was a shoulder to lean on after a brutal audition. Since then she’s been all he think about. He might want to make it as a movie star, never knowing when his break might come, but he needs her like his next breath. Which is why he takes a certain trip to get something that might help him grovel his way out of their drunken night together. He didn’t want that to be the reason they got together, only thinking of his own feelings. Not even twigging what she might have thought with his vanishing act but trust me when he does he more than makes up for it. Seems when he gets an idea he runs with it and that idea now is getting Sarah. Seems she’s more than agreeable to that plan and their whirlwind romance is off with a bang.

Well that’s until he gets his big break with the movie ‘The Ties That Bind’ her boss is directing. Monday morning comes round and it seems the powers that be think the two leading stars need to have an appearance of an off-screen romance as well as on. Sarah is pretty much told she’s not “Hollywood pretty” enough to make it work so they think its a good idea for Cameron and Jillian his co-star to have a fauxmance. He is not happy about being told, not really asked, about this by Sarah. She’s doing it all for him and his big break but he can’t see it, his big head getting in the way. Seems when he’s hurt and angry he likes to fight back, blindsiding her in the process. Oh I wanted to beat the crap out of him from that moment on with how he treats her. More so as she has my name so I was taking it personally. Their relationship has to stay a secret but when his “public” one gets to feel a little too real you have to wonder how they will get back to each other.

So much anger is between them at that point that something needs to give. A trip before filming officially starts is a great idea and I loved the location. Eagle Harbour is a very romantic setting and where you hope everything might fall back into place for them after the craziness they’ve been through. The outside world (and even some of his so called friends) might not see it but they are perfect for each other and theirs is the true Hollywood style romance people would want to go watch. Chemistry between them is off the charts – even when they are fighting. They are fighting to be together and playing by others rules. Once they let go of all that they will find their way back to each other.

Steamy, steamy, steamy with what they get up to at times. Loved all the naughty things they got up to while away. Lets just say that heated fights lead to some epic make-ups. Well mainly when Cameron gets his head out of his ass and realises what she’s been going through too. When he realises he’s been played for no good reason (I’m thinking of a certain female here, you know who you are!) he’ll do anything to put it right. Being best friends first seems to have worked out just fine for them in the end. Great characters and engaging storyline your can relate to. Fun read to devour on a rainy day. Will definitely want to check out what else the author has done now.

I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

What happens when two best friends who are secretly in love with each other hookup after one too many shots of tequila? For Sarah Travers and Cameron Scott, their friendship is quickly overshadowed by the uncertainty that comes with crossing the line from friends to lovers. Their problems are compounded when Cameron is cast as the lead in a major Hollywood blockbuster and he must decide what’s more important: sticking by the woman he’s loved since the moment they met or the bright lights and temptation of superstardom.

Sarah
When I met Cameron we hit it off like macaroni and cheese. Now we’re practically inseparable but I’ve been hiding the fact that I’m in love with him. Truly, madly, deeply. He finally figured it out and everything changed between us forever. That’s not my biggest problem though. You see, Cameron just landed the role of a lifetime and, despite how he feels about me, I’m worried I’m about to play second fiddle to the bright lights and temptations of Hollywood.

Cameron
I think I’ve loved Sarah since the first moment I laid eyes on her. It goes without saying she’s funny, smart, and has curves for days, but it’s more than that. She’s my light in this cynical, messed up world called Hollywood. I’d do anything to be with her, but I keep screwing up what should be easy. Now the studio is pressuring me to date my new co-star to drum up interest in the movie and all I can think is maybe Sarah and I weren’t meant to be.

Review:
This is one of those feel good stories where you can’t wait to finish it and see the guy and girl live happily ever after. Wonderful summer read while you are waiting in the house for the temperature to fall below boiling. The story is light and fun. This is not a deep epic book, but it is fun with likable characters that you can fall in love with. The plot of the story has curvey Sarah and devastatingly handsome Cameron becoming best friends. They do everything together and they share all of their thoughts and most of their secretes. Well except for the fact that they are both really attracted to one another. When too much tequila has them crossing the line, their friendship becomes tense. When Cameron finally lands his shot at stardom and the studio makes him pretend to be having a relationship with his co-star, things become volatile, and everything is on the line including both Cameron’s and Sarah’s careers. This couple has a sweet loving chemistry that has some ups and downs. The book has a fast pace and is a quick read. Of course there is a HEA with a fun journey getting there. The character development is soft, but we do learn about Sarah’s screwed up mother.

Celebrity romances are one of my favorite types of reads and Lucky Star by Rebecca Norinne was sweet, sexy and full of angst. Two people who are truly meant to be together now find a huge obstacle in their way. Can love survive?

Cameron Scott is finally getting the break he always wanted. He is the lead actor in an adaptation of a best-selling novel. All his dreams are finally coming true. Maybe now he can finally show Sarah how much her support has meant to him and how much he wants her. But the studio has very different ideas.

Sarah and Cameron hit it off almost as soon as they met. Quickly becoming the best of friends, they are always there for each other. As she begins to realize it may be more than just a friendship, Cameron gets his big break and all she wants is to be there for him. This is what he has always worked for. But what will his big break cost her?

Doing a fake romance with his leading co-star is the last thing Cameron wants, but everyone else already seems to be on board with the idea, so he has little choice. But hurting Sarah is the last thing he wants. As the fake romance heats up, will their very real one fizzle? Can true love survive this kind of road block?

Lucky Star was full of steamy chemistry and very angsty. As a reader, you can clearly see these two are meant for each other, but so much stands in their way, including each other. Can they find a way back before it is too late?

How did I get here? I read this author's Rocky Cove book 1 ( FAN ) and decided to start going through the backlist. I'm a true blue binge reader like my counterparts who use Netflix. What better way to start working through her backlist than by reading her Hollywood series. Meet Sarah and Cameron.

Let's get this off the list for discussion I loved both characters. Sarah is that curvy girl- looked over - heroine that many of us can relate to. Cameron is that mix of famous but has a good heart and intentions. Yep, those damn intentions. Which left me to yell at one of the characters at one time or another because they just making the wrong decision to right a wrong. What I found wonderful and original was the handling of their final leap of friends to lovers - granted alcohol involved. That they finally... finally get there and Real Life throws a wrench into the plans.

I found the story to engage me because the characters were both relatable - real life feeling individuals. It's hard to admit you actually want more when you aren't sure if the other feels the same. Ms. Norinne pulled off this theme and endear the characters to the reader. Although I may have felt some parts I wanted to hurry up, it didn't detract from the story where I would otherwise skim over it. There is more to be had in books that continue the series. You could stop here and be satisfied. But why stop with a great friends to lovers with a bit of faux romance mixed in.

I couldn't put this down. My genre tends to be dystopian/fantasy series with strong characters who have a sense of adventure, and I'm so glad I spotted this. As an engaging story with several hooks, I really related to Sarah and enjoyed Cameron's point of view - both written with a real sense of self.

Sarah was such a brilliant character, full of foibles and relatable traits - you really feel like you're in her shoes.

If you're looking for an engaging story about two characters who you really care for, and want a window into the politics of Hollywood I'd highly recommend this.

It’s a very rocky road to HEA in this engaging friends-to-lovers romance that pulled at my heartstrings while leaving me frustrated a time or two. With a love and connection that’s all-consuming, readers will find themselves drawn to this couple through all their highs and lows and will be rooting for them every step of the way. By the turn of the final page readers will be left exhausted and satisfied with a smile on their face courtesy of the richly rewarding ending that shows the power of love and friendship.

Sarah Travers is a feisty heroine who doesn’t exactly fit the mold of every man’s fantasy. She’s a bit curvy, a bit blunt, with self-esteem issues made worse by a judgmental and uncaring mother. Her love life may not be perfect either, but when it comes to friendship she has an extremely strong relationship with budding actor Cameron. They’ve been friends for years with a connection that completes them and gives them the unwavering support they can’t find from anyone else. She can’t ever picture her life without Cameron, but one drunken decision irrevocably changes everything. Years of attraction towards him finally gets acted upon with long-suppressed feelings coming to the forefront in numerous erotically-charged encounters. Just when personal doubts and fears get alieved, new issues arrive courtesy of the outside world when Cameron gets the starring role of a lifetime and Sarah once again is made to feel lacking. Through their evolving relationship Sarah stays true to who she is as the likable and supportive friend. She‘s protective of Cameron and wants him to have the success he’s always wanted which led to a fake relationship with his co-star that truly tested their budding romance and had me hitting my forehead against the wall once or twice. It was a hurtful decision to both of them and really left their HEA in doubt until they recommitted to what connected them in the first place in an empowering decision that had me cheering.

Cameron Scott’s a sexy small town boy who’s just starting to gain fame. He’s a sweet and loving son too with a friend who means the world to him. He and Sarah are a crackling duo with interactions teeming with sensuality, but he’s too afraid of acting on his amorous feelings for fear their friendship will end. One drunken night though brings all of their feelings out in the open and sets them on a path where friends have become lovers. It’s a romance that starts out sweet and sexy until his leading man role in a blockbuster movie thrusts his relationship with Sarah into the harsh lights of fame and leaves both of them floundering with doubts. During this time I found myself disappointed in Cameron as his actions weren’t always in support of Sarah. A time or two he got caught up in his own hype, but when it was just him and Sarah readers got to see a relationship worth fighting for. Through all their ups and downs Cameron wasn’t the perfect hero as some of his words and deeds hurt the one person he claimed to love the most. But his imperfection made him more easily relatable and showed a man willing to work to earn the woman he loved which ultimately endeared him to me.

On a whole this was an enjoyable read with a likable main couple you can’t help but root for. Their interactions were playful and supportive as friends while as lovers their scenes were scorching and plentiful. When it was just the two of them you could lose yourself in their happiness, but when the outside world intervened things became complicated. The movie business is cutthroat and Ms. Norinne vividly depicted that through its tampering in Cameron’s love life. While it was an over-the-top plot device, it definitely roused me out of my pleasant vibe to leave me on edge as they worked out how to balance fame with their needs and desires. Surrounding this realistically flawed main couple was an eclectic cast of secondary characters. Some were villainous, some were supportive, and some didn’t leave much of any impression, but together they all kept this story moving along at a satisfying pace that culminated in an equally satisfying conclusion. Fans of friends-to-lovers romances will find much to like about this book and will find themselves quickly captivated and ready for more from this author.

What an intriguing book! This is not the peaches and cream love story you read about a lovey-dovey couple. This couple have been friends for a long time and they love each other, but haven’t dared come out with their feelings. Their way to each other was complicated, and staying together was even more difficult, due to their jobs.

Cameron Scott is an up and coming actor in Hollywood. He loves his best friend Sarah Travers but hasn’t dared come out with his feelings. Sarah feels the same, and likewise hasn’t dared either. It’s not revealed in the book why they couldn’t reveal their feelings to each other. After one drunken night and one mistaken sexy times, their relation got even more rocky.

Sarah is the assistant to Broderick, an important movie producer. The movie they’re starting to work on is perfect for Cameron and Sarah helps Cameron get the role. The problem: Broderick deems Sarah as an unsuitable girlfriend and his PR company invents a fake romance with the film leading lady.

Cameron and Sarah have communication problems. They can’t start a conversation without it escalating into a fight. They have accumulated sore feelings for the disappointments the other one caused. They get angry and stay sullen and sulking. Cameron gets jerky and selfish and acts a little like a prima donna. Sarah, who is usually self-assured, starts feeling inadequate, not good enough for her actor boyfriend. Their way to each other is full of obstacles and the barrier caused by the dirty tricks of the Hollywood public perception machine seems unsurmountable.

It was an interesting story because the story didn’t progress as expected. Cameron and Sarah finally sort out their relation but still harbor a grudge that comes out at times. They are not perfect, but perfectly normal. They do love each other, and are committed to their relation but it does take a beating and it’s hard to overcome. It was a different take on a romance book dynamics and made for an entertaining read.

Lucky Star takes the celebrity romance trope to a new level. Cameron is a struggling actor on the verge of getting his big break in the hottest new blockbuster. Sarah is his best friend who works for the producer, and suggests he audition for the movie. Sarah’s in love with Cameron, he loves her, and they are both hiding their feelings.... until tequila and the movie script get involved and they have sex. Then he panics and runs, making this entire relationship all sorts of messy.

Within hours of them finally confessing their feelings for one another, Cameron is forced into a showmance with his new co-star, and both he and Sarah are left reeling as a result of the impact it has on their relationship.

I loved how real Sarah is. She says what’s on her mind, shares her insecurities and just puts it all out there. And I loved how sweet, caring and spontaneous Cameron is, especially when it comes to his love for Sarah. After he mucks things up, he goes big to beg for her forgiveness.

The way this couple drifts apart as a result of the PR ploy and then fight their way back together gave me all the feels. They own up to their mistakes and lack of communication and vow to set things right. And they do.

Lucky Star is a gem of a best friend’s romance that I’ve had sitting on my kindle for a while now, and wish I’d gotten around to reading sooner!

A Friends-to-Lovers Romance

Sarah Travers and Cameron Scott have been friends for a long time and both have been secretly crushing on each other. One drunken night will change both of their lives forever.

Cameron finally lands the role of a life time soon after acknowledging his feelings and love for Sarah. Sarah (production assistant) feels the need to put him first so this film is a success, no matter the price she must pay.

This book has its moments, from sweet to sexy, to love and angst, with everything in between. Can Cameron and Sarah’s friendship/love survive each other? Hollywood? Their friends and family? With everything that is swirling around them and within themselves, they need to figure out how to make each other first and to heck with everyone else.

The only complaint it that is thought the book dragged a bit in the middle of their story, so it lost a bit of momentum for me, but happy to say that it did pick back up. Overall I thought this was a good book and the characters were quite believable.

Whew! What a ride! I thought from the blurb I’d get a sweet, if a bit angtsy, easy read out of this but Cameron and Sarah’s story while sweet was a roller coaster.
These two start off with a bang and the highs and lows just kept coming! I loved how even when things were hard these two were still an incredibly sweet couple. Along with some serious extra steamy heat it was easy to tell just how great they were together if life would stop hitting them left and right.
While the roller coaster made for some absolutely gripping times, it also was occasionally too much for my taste. It felt like every time something seemed to go right another bomb would drop. The near constant drama took away from some of the actual romance leaving me sometimes thinking “Again? Already?” instead of “OMG! What’s going to happen!?”. Overall though, Cameron and Sarah kept me hooked and falling in love with the love they have for each other.

Sometimes, we just have to admit that we're not meant to have the easiest time in life where love is concerned. Cameron has been in love with his best friend, Sarah, for years. Just as he's found the courage to brave with his feelings, his acting career blows up, with the potential to change everything between them again.

This friends-to-lovers romance has the couple facing obstacles from the get-go, but watching Cameron & Sarah fight for their love was the highlight of this book for me. Sure, there were several "what in the world are you doing?" moments on both sides for me, but it turned out to be quite a good, light romance that kept me reading til the last page.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Okay I just love a good friends to lovers book and boy Rebecca Norinne doesnt pull any punches with these two. Right away you can tell these two are perfect for each other yet deny what's really there. I loved that even though this is his big break Cameron is torn about the way things are going to make it happen. Then we have Sarah who has always been there for him yet felt she could have been more for him. All in all this is a classic friends to lovers story but filled with all ugliness of Hollywood that makes it exciting to see how these two will survive.

Lucky Star, is beautifully written, showcasing how a growing friendship can blossom into so much more. Both Cameron and Sarah have kept there feelings towards one another a secret, keeping their relationship in the “friends” zone, but all that changes when truths are brought forward.
A friends to lovers romance that will take you on a roller coaster ride filled with drama, and chemistry that is never in doubt!
Obstacles are thrown there way, decisions are second guessed, will they or won’t they get there happy ending?
A great fast paced read, that will keep you guessing and cheering for them to get together.

What a great story! My first by this author and I will be reading more from her!
Follow the story of Cameron, an actor & Sarah, two friends who have shared a lot together! She wants him, he wants her but they both don't want to rock the boat and ruin their friendship, but how much longer can they deny the attraction?
One night sets the rest of their life in motion, one acting job puts what they are building in jeopardy! Can they get through this rough spot in their lives or will it take it's toll ruining their friendship.
I really enjoyed this story, 5 stars and a must read by this author!

I love that is not your average boy meets girl story, there is huge friendship bond between Sarah and Cameron. They are really true to themselves, even when they have been hiding for years the feelings they have for each other. They want to live their love the simple way, the best way. emulating the example Cameron has from his parents. This is such an amazing story, one that I couldn't put down until I was done with it. Great writing by Rebecca Norinne. Looking forward to the next book released.

I was draw into this wonderfully written story from the first paragraph and it held my attention all the way to the wild ride of an ending. Sarah and Cameron started out as friends (but are secretly enamored with each other) to lovers to a roller coaster of a relationship all within the backdrop of Hollywood and new fame. And fame came be a real b*tch on new love and with some self-sabotage in the mix there are lots of ups and downs for our couple. But they are so sweet and sexy together that you can't help but root for them and their love. You are left with a satisfying ending to a lovely story.

Lucky Star by Rebecca Norinne is a friends to lovers romance, one of my favorite tropes to pick up. Add in Hollywood and there's sure to be drama that you can't look away from, or in this case put down.

Cameron is an actor that has landed a role of a lifetime just as his relationship with his best friend, Sarah, starts to change. As their new relationship develops, Hollywood living brings on challenges that them both.

I couldn't help but root for Cameron and Sarah and feel all kinds of relief by the time I finished the last page. I'm looking forward to reading The Ties That Bind.

This was so not for me.
The story was boring and weirdly structured so that I didn‘t buy the feelings between Cameron and Sarah at all.
Also Cameron was just an ass and I didn‘t like him one bit and Sarah was getting on my nerves with all her talk about not being good enough for Cameron.

Hollywood heartthrob

Is it hard being friends first? No, the hard part was the transition to lovers which didn't go so well for Cameron and Sarah. Then throw in a fake romance and massive insecurities and you have a made for tv movie. I voluntarily read an arc of this book for an honest review.

I love a good friends to lovers book. This book is amazing. Cameron and Sarah have amazing chemistry. They both loved each other for years and was afraid to lose their friendship if they told each other. They go through a lot in this book that makes them stronger. The story plot is amazing and is well written.

4.5 Stars

I really enjoyed this story. Cameron and Sarah were best friends who secretly lived each other before their relationship turned romantic. Just as their romantic relationship is starting, they are asked to hide it. This is not easy on either of them but do they have enough of a foundation to withstand it?

This is a great story full of lots of honest emotion. A few minor editing issues are what kept me from giving it the full five stars.

Love Sarah and Cameron from the start. Love how the story is written from both their perspective. Love how Sarah and Cameron work towards their relationship and making it despite the odds that are stacked against them.

I just love a HEA ending :)

Here's the short version: I loved Sarah and Cameron, and I loved them together. Get this book!

Here's the longer version: Confessionals can sometimes feel a bit closed in, but the author really made this medium work for the main protagonist, Sarah. Sarah felt like real person, but more, she felt like someone that would be a joy to be friends with in person. She's fundamentally a happy person who knows who she is, and it's damned nice to go through her journey of falling in love alongside her. I love that she's a BBW, that she's happy, that she has a good career, that she is someone who goes out of her way to be nice to others. But this niceness doesn't mean she's a pushover, by any means. I love that in a moment when she felt intensely vulnerable, she opts for the difficult, courageous, even more vulnerable option, rather than shutting off and letting circumstances or someone else do the heavy lifting.

It is so refreshing to see someone really put themselves out there, naked and honest, and in a way that isn't about hurting someone else either. I really don't want to give anything away, but I definitely had a "You go girl!" moment. You know a writer has done her job well when you are so invested in a character that she wrote that you want to high five the character and then give her a hug.

Cameron is such a great guy that he could easily have turned into a Gary Stu, but because he's so genuine in his interactions with Sarah, and because Sarah's starry-eyed portrayal of Cameron so strongly reminded me of all the things I felt when I was falling in love, that I still loved his role in the story. Honestly, when I read a love story, what I want is exactly that: to be reminded of all the heady, butterflies-in-the-stomach, almost queasy, constantly giddy feeling of falling for a genuinely wonderful person, and that is exactly what I got in this. I found myself really rooting for them to get together!

I loved how the two character addressed painful, emotional events that happen to them. I not only loved it, but I fell a bit in love with both of them. I think the thing I enjoyed the most was how exuberantly they love each other and how candidly & vulnerably they express their love. There is something quite beautiful in that level of vulnerability, and it is utterly magical when it is reciprocated by someone who is worthy.

I was pretty sad for them through the major challenge they were facing in the middle of the book, and I was rooting for them to get through it. While I was sad they were going through this rough patch, I really appreciated that as their relationship grew, Sarah started to see a side of Cameron that wasn't pure perfection, that wasn't just what she saw through her haze of infatuation/love. And in her despair and bouts of doubt, she also reveals a side of herself that we didn't quite see near the beginning of the book. They became more human, and they started to struggle with a version of a problem that all of us normal people also have. So early on, I enjoyed them in a more pure way, but as the story went on, I grew to start to really identify with them and their emotional journey.

As things reached an emotional peak, I really wanted to see how things turn out for them. I'm assumed that they woulf live "happily ever after" but I was curious as to how they will work through their difficulties -- the solutions were not obvious!

In the end, this book did not disappoint. After having spent the meat of the book getting to know and root for Sarah and Cameron, it was gratifying to learn in the final chapter the details of how they figure out the beginning of their lives together. We learn about their new friends, their career/life plans, how they plan to juggle the daily ins and outs of a filming schedule & celebrity, and their cozy little love nest.

Despite the noise of the world around them, they figure out how to make each other a priority in their hearts and actions.

And that's what we do with the people we love in our lives. In that way, the story mixed very relatable elements with high romance to bring the story to a close with a bang.

The author did a fantastic job bringing to life two very likable characters who just want to make things works together!

Don't hesitate to pick up this book!

This was a great rollercoaster ride...well, I mean romance story.

Sarah & Cameron - have to say this is one of my favorite troupes - friends become lovers. Their chemistry was pretty dang hot. I really loved how many of their closest friends knew about their feelings before they did. The connection between these two was undeniable. The off the charts, steamy sexy times had my toes-curling - about a 9 on my toe-curling scale - so well done!!

That's why it was so frustrating for me when first Cameron - then Sarah did really stupid things that jeopardized and almost killed their relationship. The communication issues were nail biting and had me wanting to toss my e-reader across the room.

However, I'm sure I wouldn't have found the relationship so interesting with out the road blocks and pot holes that came their way. I guess the path of true love never did run smooth and then you throw in Hollywood and all the "stuff" that comes with that - it made for a story that was completely and utterly angst ridden and kept me turning the pages to see this train was going to jump the tracks or come into the station smoothly.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this Advance Reader Copy.

I love movie star romances, I don't know why but I really do just love them. I liked the concept behind this one, mostly because the movie that our hero is cast in that throws him into the limelight is one of those huge book series' that is turned into a movie franchise that basically causes everyone to lose their ever lovin' minds. There is something about the way the media deals with celebrity that is somewhat fascinating to me, so this was a kind of cool exploration of that.

So our heroine is Sarah, who I liked a lot actually. She is a super hard worker, she really wants to do the best she can for her job and move ahead, and she's really smart. She's just one of those girls who is easy to relate to. There were some aspects to her that I didn't love, but I think it was situational then a character flaw. When things start getting weird with her and her boyfriend I didn't feel like she fought for the relationship or really for herself. There were also a couple of moments where people said some things about her that truly did break my heart for her. She is easily the character I enjoyed most in this book.

As for our hero, Cameron, well, I didn't love him. Like at all. Uh, in the beginning I liked the friendship dynamic I suppose, but after Sarah and him hooked up he had the worst reaction to it, and I could easily see how it would make Sarah feel bad about herself. And then once everything picked up with his new casting and newfound celebrity, he was horrible to her. The way he acted towards her just broke my heart. And the rational behind it all was just not believable. I mean the author paints this picture of this great friendship between Sarah and Cameron, and then as soon as things move beyond friendship he just becomes this super cold jerk. It didn't ring true to his personality.

Overall, I wanted to like this book more than I ended up liking it. The pacing was good, and like I said I really did enjoy Sarah, and the concept of the book, I just wish I could have likes Cameron a bit more.

Romantic; insightful; heartwarming!!!

Sarah is an amazing female character. She is a really sweet person, at the same time, she is no pushover, she stands up for herself and she likes who she is. She is happy and comfortable with herself and she lets people know it. She is real! I would love to have her as a best friend.
Cameron is a great guy. He is rising through stardom, but he doesn't forget where he came from. He has a great foundation and that helps him to get through fame, money and power. He is the perfect boyfriend, that lets you see his vulnerabilities but also knows how to treat you right.
I love the best friends plot that fall in love and get through ups and downs to get to their HEA. It feels so true, something that could happen to any of us, in fact has happened to most.
I've really enjoy the view on PR and Hollywood. The idea of a normal couple learning how to deal with fame when it arrives. Really, the concept of the plot is great!
It's a fast-paced, very addictive love story. Easy to read and hard to put it down.
The couple's chemistry is great and the author skillfully writes great steamy moments. Their love story is passionate and we can feel their love.

Review 2

I don't love this cover. It's interesting but I find the pink too strong and a bit distracting for the background.
I believe the conflicts started too early and at the end it lost a bit of punch. The climax could have waited a bit.

You MAY buy this book because you enjoy the author's work; you SHOULD buy this book because you want to laugh, cry and love; you MUST read this book if you are ready to ride into a roller coaster of emotions that feels as real as your own!!!
