The predator corners its prey, and so the hunt must end—one way or another.
Death to traitors and thieves.
KILLER is the final novel in THE HUNT, a paranormal romance serial. It has a rating of EXPLICIT for coarse language, high heat, and graphic violence. The Hunt is considered a continuous story containing one novella and three novels, and should be read in order:
Liz is a Canadian author who grew up in the Middle East. She has a degree in Bioarchaeology from Western University, and when she isn't writing about her own snarky characters, she is reading about other people’s snarky characters, babying her herb garden, loitering on social media, or taking care of her furbabies.
Liz dabbles in both paranormal and contemporary erotic romance. Her paranormals are usually dark and angsty, and her contemporaries are stress-free smutfests, but you'll find both riddled with feels. Most of all, she loves writing realistic characters in fantastical settings.
So we reach the climax of Liz Meldon’s The Hunt series. And Killer absolutely delivered the ending that Severus and Moira deserved, but not without some twists and turns and one epic battle to get there.
"Welcome to Seraphim Securities… I am fairly certain you will not enjoy your stay."
If you haven’t read the previous three installments I recommend that you do so before starting this book especially as this one picks up a couple of days after the last one left off, and so much has happened between and to this couple since their first meeting you need to have all the facts straight to fully appreciate how fucking awesome this finale is.
"I may not be one hundred percent angel, but I can one hundred percent fuck you up…
Is.
That.
Clear..?"
After seeing Severus’ capture at the end of the previous book, Moira and crew start making plans to break him out of Angel stronghold Seraphim Securities, no easy task for sure but with a bit of coercion a little trickery from Witch Cordelia and Malachi going alpha demon on the heads of the rest of the Demon population in Farrow’s Hollow a plan is hatched.
"Are you ready for it..?"
After finishing Stalker I knew the final installment of this series was going to be brutal, and Liz once again didn’t hold back, but I think that has been part of the beauty of the storytelling because Severus and Moira both experience inexcusable cruelty, just for being who they are, in the long run it inevitably makes them stronger as a couple, and it makes their getting their happily ever after more the sweeter for it.
"You make my mouth water…"
I loved this couple, but I also loved all of the secondary characters as well so I was pleased to note that Liz has stories planned for several of them to be released in the next couple of years (years!!! Gah!) I'm not going to say anything else about this story, because I think it's an adventure you need to take for yourself.
"I'm clawing my way out of the pit... and I'm taking you with me."
But if you like a bit of paranormal, love a sexy demon and can’t live without a well written and unique story line then this series is for you. I kind of want to go back and read it from the beginning now in one go rather than in the four installments I have done because I enjoyed it that much.
ARC generously provided by the author, and it was, as it always is, my absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review in exchange.

Rate: 5/5 - It’s not a shocker I rated this book so high, I love the entire series immensely.
“If everyone could control their emotions today, that would be fucking splendid.” — Malachi
That quote is me finishing the book and the series? Killer was was everything I knew it would be: violent, intelligent, hot! The story begins with Severus held prisoner by Aeneas in the bowels of the Angels headquarters. By the end of the first chapter he is all ready being tortured for a false crime. His family - Malachi, Cordelia, Alaric, and his love Moira, along with her best friend Ella are working on a way to find and free him.
The book reads fast and is both heart-wrenching at times but also heart warming. There is also redemption and truths uncovered by the end of the story.
The story is perfect as written, I wish there would have been more Cordelia x Alaric fleshing out just because they seemed to “move” as a couple a lot in Killer. Also, I need a Malachi x Ella story right now. It’s written all over the wall that they are a couple even though both are orbiting each other on eggshells.
Final note: BONUS CONTENT!!
Moira’s wings—
and her reaction to Malachi erasing her first memory of demon ass-kicking.
Severus’s future as the city’s highest-rated male escort.
Alaric’s growth into a corrupted angel hybrid.
Malachi’s infatuation with Ella Thomas, best friend and human. Ella’s feelings—feelings she refuses to acknowledge, thank you very much—for the eldest Saevitia brother, the golden-haired chaos demon who haunts her dreams.
And the sudden power vacuum in the Farrow’s Hollow demon community, wherein shadowy factions are ready to stake their claim…
Read it all in THE UPRISING, a companion novel to THE HUNT, starring Ella Thomas and Malachi Saevitia, available spring 2019.
Plus, stay tuned for a follow-up novella, THE FALL, starring Verrier (finding love again!) in his very own standalone, in 2020.
Also keep an eye out for Nocturna, a steamy short story standalone set at the Nocturna Resort and Spa exclusively available to newsletter subscribers this winter.
SERIOUSLY CANOT WAIT FOR THE NEW MATERIAL IN THIS WORLD!

Killer is the final book in The Hunt series. We wrap up the storyline, but I will say that I do hope to see Severus and Moira again in some future stories/novellas.
We see a similar situation to what we saw in a previous book happen again. That was a little bit less shocking the second time around, in my opinion. I will say Killer was very slow paced for me as well, until the end when everything started happening at once.
That being said, my heart hurt for Severus and Moira more so in Killer than before. Killer contains many moments of growth and self discovery.
I recommend The Hunt series to anyone looking for a unique, heart stopping, gut wrenching, suspenseful storyline. You'll definitely be left wanting more.
This was waiting on my kindle for ages, and honestly, I don't know why it took me so long? Meldon's books are like cake to me--sweet, naughty, and perfect after a long day. Maybe that's why I waited? So it can cheer me up after a slow read or a bad day?
Either way, I finally read it, and I'm just so in love with these characters. I've read quite a few of Meldon's books by now, but this gang is my favourite <3 Her main characters are just so real and relatable, especially in the way they try to do the right thing but mess up despite their intentions because of things outside their control.
If you love erotic reads that actually have a plot and great characters and aren't all about the sex, then Meldon's books are a must-read.
It was easy to fall back in, and now I can't wait to fall into the companion novel. As it happens, one of my current reads drags a lot, so Meldon to the rescue!
Paranormal romance Nephilim female x Incubus Demon male Seraphim father sends an underground lowly demon to get rid of his Nephilim daughter, Moira, she ends up meeting with this incubus demon Severus who does massages and sexual therapy which also helps him get energy as an Incubus without being suspicious Witches and hybrids involved It was such a well done paranormal romance, i loved Moira and Severus' relationship, they had a bit of a miscommunication or lack thereof moment but they both knew that they loved each other and would do anything for each other.
Moira went thought trauma with Diriel in the second book and had been dealing with it in the third book, Severus trying his best not to trigger any bad feelings and they end up sort of hurting each other as the third act break up, Severus is taken by Moira Seraphim father and tortured, this installment, book 4 is about saving him.
Ella and Malachi had definitely made the book more fun to consume knowing that it dragged at times especially with the whole preparations segment of the attack on Seraphim securities, but overall it was a fun read, was bit steamy around the last two chapters.

I wasn't a fan how Alaric's vampire and demon bodyguards were so casually repeatedly, but the series as a whole was entertaining and action-packed with an interesting world, even if the FMC Moira repeatedly made pretty stubborn TSTL decisions. It was a fun quick read, and I look forward the companion novel The Uprising. ---- Ratings - completed series: #1 Predator: ★★★★☆ #2 Prey: ★★★★☆ #3 Stalker: ★★★★☆ #4 Killer (this book): ★★★★☆
This book picks up right where we left off and it was an enjoyable read. Moira really matured in this story and came into her new self and powers. Majority of this story focused on rescuing Severus. I loved the change in Severus as well. I love when characters evolve as the series continue. Character growth in a series is very important to me and we had that in this series. We also get answers and closure in this story as well which left me satisfied. The author also laid the groundwork for Ella and Malachi which I am loving!!!! I need their book like yesterday!!!
For those that know me I am a very picky paranormal reader and I highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of the genre. I recommend this book to newbies looking for a genre switch. It was fun, sexy, real and refreshing. Liz Meldon is an author that I need more people to read! Meldon has moved up higher on my read list after this series. Well done!!
The conclusion to THE HUNT series is just as amazing as the first three books. I always worry with series like these that there is so much action to be wrapped up in the finale that there won't be enough fluffiness, but Liz does an amazing job of balancing the two. This book is violent and gruesome, but also filled with lovely friendships, romance, and whimsy. Read this series!
There are so many facets of Killer (book 4 of The Hunt) that I thoroughly enjoyed, until I am struggling to do a review that isn’t a synopsis of the story. Let me being with a few factual statements. First, Liz Meldon did not disappoint with the conclusion of this series. This is a series that I will not hesitate to recommend to anyone who enjoys reading engrossing fiction. Do not consider reading this installment of the series if you have not read the previous 3.
As for some of the sides of this story that I enjoyed – it was wonderful to: 1) see Moira gain control of her angelic light and for her to gain that control by input from Ella, the only human in the family; 2) see the family unit of demon, hybrid, human, and witch fully evolve around Moira and Severus; 3) witness the depth of Moira’s and Severus’s love for each other; and 4) see how Verrier and Zachariah demonstrated the, for lack of a better term, intended character of their species. Also, I did not regret (okay, I was sort of happy about) Aeneas being on the receiving end of everything he deserved.
I remain as enthralled with Farrow’s Hollow’s world of demons, sub-demons, angels, witches, and hybrids as I was when I read the first installment. I definitely will be adding the complete series to my library, and I look forward to returning to Farrows Hollow every time Liz takes me there.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

~Review🖋~ . Unputdownable and wicked. Sooo wicked. Both in the New Englander sense of the word and in terms of the storyline. This is the finale of the Hunt series so it’s expected that the author will start to wrap up loose ends but there were still so many delicious twists and turns that this book is as much of a page turner as the earlier books in the series. In the end it’s twice as gratifying — you get the 🔥🔥🔥 and thrill that was present in the first three books plus the answers and closure we all need at the end of series — And HEA of course! ✨Pro-tip: Don’t just go putting down the book after the words “The End”. There might be a little somethin’-somethin’ in way of information you don’t want to miss! 😉 — Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All views and opinions expressed above are my own.
Brrr...Liz Meldon’s Killer, the fourth and final book of her The Hunt Book 4 series, is exciting and quite yummy. If you even remotely enjoy paranormal romance then this series is for you. For those who have been following along, rejoice as this is the perfect ending for the series and it’s pretty much a guaranteed lock that you’ll love it. For newcomers, don’t start her but rather go to the excellent series book 1, Predator. It’s fantastic - but addictive. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book and series both definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each of the books in this series is most definitely “one to read”. It is easy to highly recommend both the series and this, it’s fanale. I’m definitely going to miss this series.
ROCK MY WORLD I really love Liz' style. She can totally rebuild a world over each other. So graphic and action packed. She doesn't cut off or draw back. Always keep miving. The suspense and danger are explosive and adrenaline is running on high. If you can't get into this series, you ned serious help. The characters are on point realistic and believable with such personalities that make the roles more exciting. Liz pulls you into her imagination and weaves a world around you until everything else ceases to exist. She is one bada*s lady. I love the characters and the chemistry. I also love the action scenes. Its like its in 3D Technicolor. You can't get much more alive than that. She has totally nail this series like the pro she is. Phenomenal job Liz, thanks for sharing this remarkable read with us.
Killer is the last book on this little series. I really enjoyed it because it had all of the answers to my so far unanswered questions. Without giving too much away, it picks up right where book three ended. So you definitely have to read all the parts leading up to this book to fully understand the story. For the most part, this book was all about saving Severus, the incubus demon. It also explained more about Moira’s unique gifts. By the end, after everything has settled there’s still the mystery of where do they go from there? There’s also still the intriguing (to me at least) relationships between Cordelia and Alaric, as well as between Malachi and Ella. I’m hoping for more from them in the future. Overall, this was an enjoyable conclusion to this series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
An impossible to put down finale to a fantastic series. This fourth book in The Hunt series ties things up while maintaining the fast pace we've had from the start. Killer is loaded with all the things that have made Moira and Severus' romance so great - action, intrigue, magic, some incredible twists, and some sexy that's hot enough to peel the paint off the walls. As this is a continuing story and this one picks up where the last one left off, the books really do need to be read in order. It's almost impossible to give any details with spoilers, so I'll just sum it up with Killer is another great book in a refreshingly original take on angels and demons, where the line between the good and bad guys is blurred and allies come in the unlikeliest of places.
Incubus Severus Saevitia has been captured by angels and sentenced to 6 centuries of imprisonment and punishment on false charges. Angel-human hybrid Moira Aurelia teams up with Severus' brother Malachi, his best friend Alaric and his cousin Cordelia to bust him out. But with Moira's father hell bent on her death, will Moira and her friends ever be safe?
Liz Meldon delivers an exciting, suspenseful and steamy story that will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read The Uprising, a companion novel to The Hunt, to catch up with Moira, Severus and their friends.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
This is the fourth in the series and I have to say that each one got better and better - this being NO exception! I loved the characters more and more through each book! The story line in this book brings the saga to a satisfying close but not everything works according to plan and things do go awry! There were, to me, a couple of surprising twists that made this the best part of the whole!
I highly recommend both this one and more importantly, the series as a whole
I have left this review voluntarily in exchange for an ARC copy, for which I thank Liz!!
I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. The MOST EXCELLENT final installment of Moira and Severus. I can tell you, that I am so sorry that this series is ending; or is it? Liz's characters are so well developed, that the supporting characters can definitely have series on their own, and I for one, want this so Severus and Moira can continue their story, even if they are not the main characters. Liz continues to AMAZE me with her writing!!!! I plan to read each and every book she publishes!
A real page-turner, full of surprises that kept me hooked right to the last word. A love story that truly emphasizes love as beautiful, especially when it's unusual. All the questions are answered in this book and more. A skillfully woven tale of darkness and light set as a fast pace romance thriller. As usual, Liz Meldon keeps you on the edge of your seat. Brilliant ending to a brilliant series. I read an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review.
I received an adanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Where is the freaking companion novel to it, because I need it now so bad?
(In the end I don't know if I was the one who was more frustrated or Sev, because I mean I NEED ANSWERS! Also Verrier, is secretely a sweetheart under all that badass attire... I hope... at least).
(As you might have understood I am a bit fangirling so... sorry, but that's how I am)
I loved this book so so much, I didn't think it could get better than "Stalker" but it did and I am not saying it is mainly because Malachi had more time and we saw best his relationship with Ella, but... (yeah my crush with Malachi will be for ever and ever living, I mean I am here if the thing with Ella don't work out...)
But it was not only because of my "slight" crush for him that I truly was amazed by both his personality and his brain (because I mean he is more than "eye candy" I love it) (Also the "mob scene" brought me back to the "Red Hood" film "mob scene" so I was happy) and honestly I feel like he makes such an amazing characters and I hope he will get more pages about him (Liz do it for me, please!)
Also if I thought Moira was relatable wait till I saw lovely Ella, who is basically me if I discovered I belonged into a magic world: lots of alcohol and glaring at the handsome assshole demon who is looking at me as if I am his breakfast (also I am a sucker for girls kicking back men who don't understand their boundaries, next time somebody does that I am stabbing him...).
I loved her, I feel like she is a great character and took promptly the role of "human" as Moira become more and more badass embracing her angel aurea and status.
I also enjoyed Moira and my big "anti-romantic" couldn't help but like the scenes where her and Sev were together, and althought I feel like it was a bit insta-love, there were also some pretty solid bases on which the relationshippwas founded and I really think they are one of my favorite couples of the 2018 (alongside my lovely lovely Ella+Malachi, becaue nothing says I love you more than vomiting on the other's shoes).
As I said before the entire Crowley family deserves an award for being a too cute and too good for this world and I honestly want to see more interactions (also Cordelia, who needs to have her way with Alaric because they are "teenagers in love") (Also can't we all have her wardrobe, like "gimme").
Also the plot is extremely on point, I loved every twist (althought I found the last one a bit too cliché, still I think the writer immediately solved her problem with an amazing ending) and I am still in love with Malachi's idea and curious to know how Moira will react to it.
As always I loved the themes in it, because I feel like something Liz Meldon does is turning what could be a light book into a source of informations and interesting subjects that are there just for you to look into and discover more.
Absolutely worth of the five stars I gave it, you obviously need to start this series (bonus point if you are like me Supernatural\Fallen Angels trash!
A perfect conclusion to The Hunt series. Moira and Severus are one of my favourite couples. Once again Liz delivers a story full of action and steam, and a cast of entertaining characters. I'm now an official Malachi fan, too!
I've loved witnessing the growth of Moira's character and the development of her relationships, not only with Severus, but also those around her.
This is paranormal romance writing at its finest. Can't wait for the spin off books...
These are the first books I’ve read by Liz Meldon, and I can safely say that I’ve been missing something extraordinary. This was an emotional roller-coaster ride that hit me with surprise after surprise. I never quite knew what I should expect to see next. I’m hooked. Now that I know about Moira and Severus, I still want to know even more and can’t wait to read what else the author has in store for us. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Liz has provided a fabulous conclusion to The Hunt Series. The storyline is well-written, has some surprising twists and an epic comeuppance! The characters are developed and stay true to form from the previous books. So nice to have the answers in this satisfying conclusion. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
What a series this has been and what a finale. Wow wow wow. Loved them all and the storyline. Characters have been well thought of and the series flows throughout. I would highly recommend them. I was given this book as an arc for a honest review
An amazing story. Extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Amazing series. It started out very short but it was still so worth it. Curious about the rest of the books too that follow the same timeline. If this keeps up , I will have a new author to follow ...
Fantastic fourth book in this great series. The only downside - having to wait so long for a follow up!! Liz is firmly in my list of favourite writers.
