Sheriff Carl Speyer, of Brown County Indiana, calls Angie and asks for help in solving a series of murders. Detective Angie Bartoni leaves the comfort zone of her home precinct and takes time off to help her old friend. As the bodies of Indiana University co-eds keep piling up, Angie asks for the help of the FBI as well and is joined by Special Agent Brad Pendergrass and his team. Using everything at their disposal they are in a race to save the latest missing co-ed before she becomes another fatality. Back in Indianapolis, Angie’s partner, Dan, is going crazy working with his temporary partner, Leroy Gates and Captain McGregor is proud of the accolades he reads about Angie in the paper, but he wants her back.
