3.5 Diamonds, Tiffany's, Russians, Oh My Stars

As an avid reader, I am introduced to many different authors all the time. I recently read for the first time R.R. Banks. His Accidental Fiancé worked for me and subsequently it was through his newsletter he promoted Mister Diamond by Chance Carter. I decided to give it a go and that is how I got here.
We have a very successful Russian CEO whose father back in Russia has laid the law down. Son must marry chosen daughter of equally important business in order to increase and unite the wealth. Nik, the son, has been running the American import/export division of the company away from the all of the drama in Russia. The relationship between the father and son has never been good due to the loss of Nik's mother during childbirth. By living in NYC, Nik has had the freedom to be his own man.
Yet, now his father has given him the ultimatum. Marry this woman or lose everything... his position in the company, his penthouse and how he sees himself. Begrudgingly, Nik goes off to Tiffany's to get the ring for the unwanted bride.
Gemma is a woman trying to make it on her own. She has broken ties with her affluent family because she no longer wanted to be a pawn in their dealings. She never had the support parents should give their children. Oh, her father took the boys under his wing and molded them to be mini asshats just like him...making her life doubly hard with teasing and torture of being told she was only good to push out kids not teach them. When she was little her mother was sweet but as Gemma aged, that support disappeared. When she was offered as the bride in a relationship she had no use for... that was it.
Gemma left. She cut off everything and came to NYC. There she was able to find a position at Tiffany's. She had just the right look and way of dealing with the upscale clients due to her background. Gemma was basically happy there. She had a roommate she felt close to and even though she was barely getting by, she was ok with it.
Her roommate, Molly, would try to get Gemma out and about but Gemma would always turn her down... saying she just wasn't up for it. Molly would understand but never give up encouraging her to take some time for herself and enjoy life.
These two, unlikely but with very similar internal issues, meet when Nik goes to Tiffany's. There he sees this lovely woman behind the counter. Grouchy and caring less, Nik asks for an engagement ring for his forced fiancee. Gemma, being the polite and personable sales associate asks all the right questions of which Nik has no answers. Doing the best she can, she shows Nik an appropriate ring of lovely quality and he says fine.
But during their exchange, Nik sees someone who is open and sweet with a smile that touches him... and Gemma is taken by this mountain of a man... a man who holds her gaze without turning away.
He leaves to send the ring to the his unwanted fiancee and she sighs... knowing it was a lovely moment never to be repeated.
Except a day or two later, there he is...The ring was refused, he needs another.
This is the dance that continues and then....
Becomes So Much More.
As someone who had no history with this author, I was wondering where he was going at times, however, he kept me curious and gave me some unexpected moments. The secondary characters were interesting and unusual. I did feel sometimes like there was a rush or insta willingness between Gemma and Nik to be together from the get go.
Overall, I liked the concept...Tiffany's although it was more of a vehicle to get them together. The bonus is this book has a bunch of other stories from the author in it...so you are not getting just the one book.

Great characters! Nik is so hot he could have any girl but he’s been TOLD he’s getting married. Talk about daddy issues. Gemma too has family issues that come back to haunt her. Tiffany’s is a minor character in the drama and the setting for much intereaction between our hero and oh, those diamond rings. The would be bride unwittingly brings her “arranged” groom into salesclerk Gemma’s Tiffany’s store. So many diamond rings. Money, sparklers and lots of drama. Great heart as always with pantie melting goodness. Love it Chance Carter!

Mister Diamond, this book was incredible! Dominik and Gemma grew to like each other through the friendly banter when he walked into her work place. What follows is a romantic story that you just can’t stop reading till the end. You will love this book just as I did. Couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended! Once again Chance Carter blew me away with his writing. Bravo!

OMG !!! I was blown away by this amazing story. It grabbed me and pulled me in held me hostage, riveted to every single word. Dexter, Emma and Domanick’s journey was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I read the last word. A book that captured my heart. Dexter and Emma’s chemistry was so hot, it made me shiver at its intensity. A book that is summed up with one word STUNNING!! If you don’t purchase this book you are missing out on an amazing read.

Different and Fun
Chance Carter has written another great romance with a not so usual love story. While it had its appropriately serious parts of the story, what I liked best was the main female characters sense of humor. Mister Diamond also wraps up with a very satisfying HEA. Definitely a story I could read multiple times.

One of my favorite Chance Carter books so far!
Nik meets Gemma while shopping for an engagement ring for the fiancé he doesn't want. Each time he needs to exchange a rejected ring, the attraction between them intensifies. These two star positivity combustible together and their story sucked me in from page one. I love the way the story develops and unfolds. In true Chance Carter fashion, there are enough swoony feels and panty drenching encounters to keep you glued to the book from the first page to the last.
I know I've mentioned this in lithe reviews, but I love that he can write a book with emotional ups and downs, and relationships with bumpy paths without succumbing to the seemingly requisite, gratuitous angst that some authors throw in the way of their lead characters. This is another example of that style.
The characters are well rounded with distinctly different personalities and speaking styles and the story line is original. My biggest complaint is that it ended. I wanted to just keep reading more about Gemma and Nik.
Technically speaking, the book does have a few typos, but nothing that interrupted the flow of my reading. At the end of chapter three there is an invitation to join his "Diamond" group, but as it includes an opportunity to win something from Tiffany's, I'm not complaining. The book ends at around 15%,but is a complete full novel. It just includes several of his more recent full length books as well, and though I own them already, it may be an added bonus to newer readers.
Overall, I absolutely love this story and highly recommend it. I also recommend getting comfy (because you won't want to put this book down) and having dry knickers at the ready 😉.

This is my 2nd Chance Carter book. This was an okay read. I was a little disappointed! But what I loved about this book is the guy on the front cover looks a lot like my husband and the main character in book is Russian (just like my husband) Lol. and that Nik and Gemma stood up to their families. Overall this was an okay quick read to past some time.

For those of you whove never read a romance written by a man I'm sorry to say you're romance reading has been sadly lacking and I recommend that you rectify that now and get yourself a copy of Chance Carter's newest release , Mister Diamond , because I guarantee that you will quickly realize that I'm telling you that truth as you fall in love with not only this book but his writing as well ! Then get ready to go broke as you have to start doing what I did and but his previous releases as fast as you can possibly read them !
On a scale of 1-10 Mister Diamond is a 12 !!!

I loved this story about Dominick and Gemma. Nick’s father was controlling his life from Russia, insisting he agree to an arranged marriage and sending him to Tiffany’s where Gemma is working. Gemma is struggling with her own family issues and the pair hit it off. They both showed strength and character and were able to build a life together. I loved their friends too, Molly and Dexter Maybe a spin-off?!

Such a sweet story. The characters are genuine and lovable. I’m usually bored at the very beginning of a new story while getting to know the characters and the plot but this book gets moving quickly and soon you are just submersed in the story. I just love Chance Carter’s stories. I recommend reading them all!!!

I love this book. It captured my attention from the first until the last word. I could not put the book down until I read the last word. I love how the author incorporated Diamond 💎 into the storyline! Gemma and Nik earned one another as well as the love and respect they have for one another! I also enjoyed the romance of Dexter and his new muse! Wonderful!

This was an amazing love story of Nik and Gemma

Characters, that draw you into the story, and romance that keeps you wanting more earns this story 5 stars!! This is a must read. Gamma and Nik were meant for each other, but there were obstacles to overcome. Love conquers all!!

Finding your diamond
When Dominik is doing as his father demands he finds his true diamond.
This is another amazing story from Chance Carter. I find myself waiting for the next book from Chance as he always manages to pull you into the story. Thank you Chance.

Well. . .the story didn't work for me.
I liked this writer better when he was producing m/m genre. I don't believe he understands or has a good grasp of all the organic workings of a woman's sexual excitement, anatomy, or orgasm. For example, females don't climax and feel a punch to the gut. There's more of a spread of sensation, explosions and dizziness, but a punch in the gut is more a male thing.I
I'm not sure how there are so many four and five star reviews. Characters, story, plot all fell short to me. Nik is supposed to be Russian but sounds like everyone else. Characters are set up with specific personalities but all end up interacting and speaking.talking the same way. ?!?!?

Now 32 he's given an ultimatum by Fyodor, marry Valentina the daughter of Oil Tycoon Alexei Petrokov or loose his inheritance and be cut off. Dexter a partygoer and his best friend doesn't understand why he won't stand up to his father. The only thing is to head to Tiffanys to buy a diamond ring.
Gemma an assistant at Tiffanys thinks the man of her dreams has just walked in, only problem he's buying an engagement ring. When he returns to exchange the ring deemed unfit by his fiancee they strike up a conversation and she notices he's not really into it and the attraction intensifies.

WOW! 💎 I absolutely love this book! Nik and Gemma’s story is amazing. Both Nik and Gemma have family issues that they need to sort out. Each are kinda a mess on their own, but together they just click. However, I like how Chance has them sort out their issues separately. Gemma deals with her family issues while Nik deals with his. Instead of one trying to fix the other, each one faces their problems and they become stronger individuals by doing so and that makes them a stronger couple.
The secondary characters are wonderful! I love Dexter! Would love to have his story. (Hint, hint 😉Chance!)
Chance has included bonus books for your enjoyment. You will want to keep reading! Bridesmaid for Hire is one of my favorites. Oh and Stranded! 🔥🔥🔥 Although they are all really great stories!
I read with KU, but also 1-clicked and bought it. This is one that will go on the re-read many times, shelf for sure!

Chance Carter seems to surprise me every time. His stories just keeps getting better and better. This is one of the best until now. It has been written with a lot of heart and has a great storyline and plot. The characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story.
The mix of passion, chemistry, steam, emotions, heartwarming moments and twists makes this story absolutely captivating and worth the read.

I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. I like that it has an epilogue to finish of the story.
It is engaging and recommendable.
The mix of passion, chemistry, steam, emotions, heartwarming moments and twists makes this story absolutely captivating and worth the read.

Dominik is a man who is a powerful CEO in the world of imports and exports, working for his father in their family business. He's the typical alpha male in a modern-day contemporary romance. Gemma is the plucky heroine who pulled herself up from adversity to stand on her own two feet while still managing to luck into be rescued by the aforementioned alpha male. So, in other words, she's totally typical too. Gemma and Nik also fall into all the pitfalls and setbacks that they and their contemporaries face: adversity, hardship, financial stresses, finding each other, losing each other usually through some misunderstanding and thinking they'll never find each other again and never be happy because of that, coming back together and SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT they end up married and with one kid and another one on the way. I feel like I'm reading the same story over and over and over again these days in the romance genre, with only the names changed. Still, for those that like this type of story and/or other works by Mr. Carter will probably like this, too, and I definitely recommend it a must-read for them.

Diamond-like strength of resolve and love
Mr. Diamond by Chance Carter is another great book. A fun and flirty read with sexy, strong characters and an interesting storyline. Once again, Mr. Carter has created lovable and endearing characters that came alive as I was reading and made it difficult to put this one down. Dominik has that unique Chance Carter male character blend; strong, sexy and hot alpha male with dominant tendencies while still being sweet, tender and at times vulnerable. Gemma, is strong as well, sweet caring and independent, but underestimates herself. The two of them together generate some serious heat and their chemistry is explosion worthy. I also enjoyed the supporting characters, especially Molly and Dex. Familial influences are a major focus of the storyline, and both Gemma and Nik benefit from confronting those issues. I found the plot/storyline very engaging throughout, well developed and thoughout, it flowed very nicely!
