Full disclosure, I know the author. Also, no spoilers.
I enjoyed the first book in the series, but the second is better. Mr. Christian has developed his writing style a bit more, and his characters are more fleshed out. He's also fixing my biggest issue with the first book in the series, the lack of development on the "big bad." It's hard not to give any spoilers, but if you enjoyed the first book even in the slightest, you will really like this one! I read the whole thing in just a few days, and immediately started the third book.
