There is always something scarier out there

After a successful first mission and a month off, Blake Brown and crew head out on a new mission to the remote Zolidack system. A classified research facility has been sighted with the presence of illegal cargo that relates to what they found on their previous mission.

The problem is the system is controlled by the Fredorian Defense Force, a group who dislikes Earthborn of any stripe. The facility is operated by the Dorostatic Initiatives Corporation, which is recovering from a genetic engineering scandal and hates any government intrusion, Earthborn or not.

Getting to the facility is one challenge. Dealing with a new crew problem while doing it is another. To make matters worse, brutal, bug-like Rogundan mercenary slavers have been spotted in the system.

Blake and crew will do all they can to investigate the facility while navigating both internal and external threats. If there's one thing Earthborn can do well, it's adapt, and Blake and crew will show everyone how it's done.

I have been dreaming about fictional worlds since I was a kid. I devoured anything related to fantasy and science fiction. I developed a setting over the last twenty years and struggled to find a medium I could express it in. Several years ago, I discovered I enjoyed writing. It is a passion of mine now, and exploring my setting with it has been an awesome journey.

I work in the information technology field and have my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in it. It has helped me to shape some of the concepts I write about. I also enjoy keeping up on futurology and science in general.

I live in central Ohio and enjoy walking, reading, gaming, learning, listening to music, and trying to keep up on my never-ending list of TV shows and movies to watch. If you want to contact me, you can do so on my website at

Biogenesis: Book 2 of the Earthborn by Adair Hart is a book I requested and the review is voluntary. I always enjoy this author's books for the great imagination, action, adventure, great characters, plot, and sci-first. This one is no different. Lots of fun creatures in it too!

“They just want something to make them feel superior.” “Is this a human thing?”It doesn’t make sense. You’re all human.”
How do you respond to this eternal question...
Earthborn humans and the existing ones in this universe are one and the same, but for them different, lower castes. Just as in our past and present day reality! Another compelling, exciting, action filled and fast paced thriller, an intriguing plot with unexpected revelations, which one more deviant and horrifying! A one night must read! I couldn’t put it down, there was always something around the corner, the turns which kept me going! Amazing!
I am voluntarily giving a review of an advance copy I received from the author.

Summary:

Blake and the Earthborn crew are at it again in the latest book in the series. I found it fascinating how the Fredorian people originally came from Earth, but a significant number of them look down upon People form Earth or Earthborn to the point of violence. As the crew embark on their mission to uncover what is happening on the Hadrassus research facility. From dealing with unreasonable prejudice to making new allies as the learn of a new danger to the universe form an unknown foe. At first glance, Blake’s crew are from various backgrounds, but those very differences is what strengthens them. Their acceptance of each other allows them to mesh into an unstoppable group. Ada may be an android, but her human like quirks endears her to the group, especially Seth whose friendship with Adda could be so much more.

I enjoyed the hints from the Evarian Series helping the continuation between the two series. The new alien races brought surprise and suspense as Blake and the crew had to adapt to survive. This was a wonderful edition to the series. I for one can’t wait to see what challenges the crew find on the next book in the Earthborn series.

Received for an honest review.

Good story, needs better syntax

I like the premise, but the adult vocabulary is like if they were teenagers. Even if that was his target audience, adults should speak and behave like adults. Also, it states, "it's 7:30 earth time". In what time zone?

The violence is too graphic for my taste, but this book is excellent Science Fiction. I would also prefer the language to be cleaned up.
