The Danover Royal family can’t weather another scandal following Phillip’s notorious wedding. Now, Eric “the spare” is tasked with going full on proper royal to rectify his party boy image. He can start by curing cancer -- or at least working on funding a new scientific breakthrough for breast cancer. But when he finds that the scientist behind the new treatment is sexier than all the sinning he’s done in recent years his ‘good boy’ image change hits a major roadblock.
Anna Fernstone has happily avoided one royal wedding only to end up engaged financially with the second in line. What are the odds? Surely it wasn’t normal for a single scientist to have to ward off everyone in line for the throne. But when Eric proves to know a thing or two about the female breast, Anna is too taken to stop him. With their livelihoods on the line, do they risk a once in a lifetime romance even if it has the potential to ruin the reputations they’ve worked so hard to build? In the end they’ll have to choose what means more: what the world thinks or what they think of each other.
New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

Royal Eric is trying to get his health bill passed and show parliament that he is more than a party boy. With the help of cancer Doctor Anna Fernstone Danovar will prove to be the place for research to be spear headed. Like all North writes there is a HEA. "A copy of this book was provided by Relay Publishing via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."
She wants to make a difference. He has the funds. She has the heart. Who said anything about love? Royal Treatment is more than a romance. It's a journey of hope. Two people striving to change the world and provide hope when there seems to be none. Eric and Anna are a glimpse into what the world could be, if we all set our sights on saving lives, not taking them. A powerful story in a unforgettable romance. (4.5 of 5 stars)
Who doesn't love a sexy playboy that is also royalty? Eric is a classic one, but that is only one side of him. Meeting Anna, a brilliant medical research scientist, the fun begins when they are taken with each other. A bill he believes in, how does Eric get people to take him seriously and make good on getting funding for Anna's treatment? Will their objectives be hindered when they both get a bit more than they bargained for as sparks fly in this second book of the 'Royals of Danovar Series'. Great afternoon reading, I would like to thank Netgalley and Relay Pub. for gifting me "Royal Treatment". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!
Leslie North gives us the Playboy Prince and Research Nerd in this Royal Romance. I liked Prince Eric and how he was attempting to shed his playboy image. He treated Anna like she was a woman, not a geek. The book is a quick read and is very steamy toward the end of the book.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
Welcome to Danovar. This is the second book in this series and each book is stand alone. Leslie writes stories with strong intelligent female characters that fight for what they want. Her story lines are well developed and will draw you in from the first page to the last. Eric wants to change his "party image" and be taken seriously. Anna wants to bury herself in the lab and find a cure for a specific type of breast cancer. Eric has a health care bill he is looking to have parliament pass, and funding Anna's research will give him the boost he needs. Anna wants nothing to do with Eric but when he persuades her to allow him to help fund her, she gives him a counter proposal. She would like to be taught how to act socially with men, this virgin wants to spread her wings. Eric agrees and so the lessons begin. When trouble brews and the going gets tough, will these two support each other or tear each others hearts to shreds? I volunteered to read and review this book
Royal Treatment is the second in the Royals of Danovar series, but easily a standalone. It was a super-fast read and I found myself shocked when I finished in less than two hours.
It was refreshing to read about a “spare” in line to the throne that didn’t bemoan their status or envy their sibling. Eric reveled in the freedom his title as second gave him and ran wildly with it. Right up until he no longer could and was tasked with trying to rectify the royal family’s image in the wake of a scandal of American proportions. I love that he went about this, not just by doing charity work or getting his face in the spotlight for donating boatloads of cash to some deserving, albeit politically correct organization, but by creating a healthcare bill that would impact the entire population. Enter Anna and her amazing research that has the potential to cure a common form of breast cancer and save millions of lives across the world while providing much needed positive attention to their small country.
The story was intriguing and the characters likable (and, let’s be honest, the sex steaming hot), but there were some editorial concerns that detracted a bit from my ability to lose myself in the work. Word echoes and head hops kept pulling me back to reality and making my fingers itch with a desire to correct. This made me about ten kinds of sad, because the story was one I would have loved to drown in and never come up until I was a big pile of mush from a brilliant happily-ever-after. I mean ending with a secret something is just… yep. The way to my heart.
Regardless of the technical issues, I would absolutely recommend Royal Treatment for a fun, quick, summer poolside read. What’s not to love about a scorching hot Prince and a nerdy, but lovable scientist who make absolute magic together between the sheets. Or on the pool table.
I had fun stepping back into the world of the Royals of Danovar once again for Eric and Anna’s romance. Eric may be the “spare” for the kingdom, yet this man is quite at ease in his skin and his role in life. Friends with his brother, not wanting to step into his shoes at all, Eric has been easily living his own life until it’s time to step in and show his true character to those around him. He has a bit of work to do for that playboy, free spirit role has put him in a light to not be taken seriously… especially now that he really does have the people’s best interest at heart, particularly a specific group of people who could benefit greatly from a health care bill he needs to pass. Anna has the research, the knowing that a treatment could save lives if only she can get it into the right hands, and past some roadblocks. When a prince and a scientist combine to further not only the people’s health but their own hearts as well… well, things are going to get very interesting.
Royal Treatment is a fun, charming romance with some definitely sexy moments, a couple that works and an interesting plot. I enjoyed myself once again in this world – and I’m definitely looking forward to Royal Order up next. If you love a good royal romance, fun characters and a love to risk everything for then I’d recommend Royal Treatment and the entire Royals of Danovar series to any Contemporary Romance reader.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Royal Treatment is the story of Anna and Eric and their romance that leads to their happy ending. I refuse to think that saying they have a happy ending is a spoiler because let's be real, this is ROMANCE which ends with a HEA 95% of the time. It is the second book in the Royals of Danovar series, but can be read as a stand alone. There is minimal mention of anything that happened in the first book [one that I have not read] but the plot never became confusing because of it.
For a New Adult book, this was definitely on the sweater side of the genre. Anna being a virgin made her super meek compared to a lot of women written for this genre [not that there is anything wrong with a body and sexually confident women]. It was nice to have the romance begin slowly and build up to fully explicit scenes. The only setback was that at times, Anna could seem downright naive when she was with Eric [or just talking to people in general] which didn't sit well with my image of her as a strong independent scientist. At times, the way she acted in regards to Eric was borderline juvenile.
Royal Treatment was a night summer read, perfect for an afternoon at the beach when you want to veg out. It is a perfect fit for the New Adult genre, so if that is your thing I would definitely check this one out and maybe some of her other books as well.
Final notes: - Told in alternating 3rd person POV - Virgin/player trope - Royalty/commoner trope
This is my favorite book in this three-book series. Eric is ready to hang up his playboy ways, especially when he realizes there's more to the beautiful Anna than he realizes. Wanting to be taken seriously, he sets out to pass legislation in support of medical research and healthcare, and he arranges funding for Anna's cancer research.
Anna is captivated by Eric, but she doesn't want any rumors of bias or special treatment from the royal family to overshadow her project's goals. She reluctantly agrees to the funding, and since she has his attention, she decides to ask the much more experienced Eric to instruct her in flirting and other social interaction. Their tutoring sessions lead to a hot and steamy romance, which is only complicated further when his political goals diverge from her research goals.
I enjoyed the build-up between these two characters. The author did a wonderful job of developing the emotional connection as well as the physical. Their HEA was nicely done. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This book is a quick and pleasant read about Prince Eric of the fictional country of Danovar, and Dr. Anna Fernstone, a research scientist in the field of breast cancer. In an effort to leave his playboy reputation behind, Eric teams together with Anna to fund her research, and she is quite taken with his dedication for the people in his kingdom. Anna is portrayed as an awkward science geek who needs lessons on dating from Eric and of course, he’s more than happy to give her lots of very detailed instruction. The steamy sexual attraction between these two characters is definitely the highlight of the story but I wish there had been more story to read. If you’re looking for a sexy romantic comedy, this is the book for you. I read a copy of this book through NetGalley and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
Received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really liked that this book was about Eric and Anna(who is the new Queen Ella's stepsister), and that they are brought together by his wanting to change his image and trying to find a cure for breast cancer. But it's allot easier said than done. They know they're attracted to each other and when they come to the point where they both are ready to admit it they hit a major obstacle. Eric has to make a very difficult decision that has him choosing between the two things he wants more than anything else!! But as with any romance you can't have one without some troubles, and naturally an HEA!!

The Prince and the Scientist! He’s trying to repair his family’s image while she’s trying to have a scientific breakthrough to cure cancer. He’s a playboy while she’s a brainiac! And yet they’re drawn to each other like no other before.
Short, sweet and a little naughty is how I found Royal Treatment. Possibly a little to OTT on the naughtiness. Don’t get me wrong I love a good sex scene but I’m also a BIG fan of a blossoming romance. Bit more story plot and less sex would have improved the story.

Prince Eric is trying to get his health bill passed and show parliament that he is more than a party boy. Dr Anna Fernstone wants to prove a new treatment for breast cancer will fare better in Danovar since there is less red tape. She needs his help to be a little less introvert and he needs hers to be seen as less of a playboy. A good story, the sexy times weren't over the top, but it was missing something for me. I don't even know what, so I can't put it in words.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 2nd book in a series. I did not read the first. It reads great as a stand alone. Anna and Eric's story. I felt like I had read this story before. Not sure why, I also thought her cancer research would have been more believable as post doctoral work. The characters were interesting. I think most romance readers would enjoy.
I enjoyed this book more than the previous one in the series, Anna and Eric were so much fun to read about and pretty much total opposites in personality. He was charming and outgoing while Anna was quiet and nerdy.
I like that we saw Simon who will be in the next book and a little of Ella who was in the first book, so nice overlap.
Loved reading the second book in the Royals of Danovar series. While Prince Eric is trying to change his image and funding Dr. Anna Freestone's cancer research, Eric wants to spend more and more time with Anna. Anna needs help with how to flirt and make small talk, and Eric volunteers to aid her in this endeavor. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read love story. I reviewed a copy through NetGalley.
It never fails to amaze me as I’ve yet been transported, yet again into the mind of Leslie North. It’s another story I can absolutely say that I have totally loved and enjoyed reading. Well written story with characters that have depth and can relate with and passion and steamy chemistry throughout the story. And it’s a royal theme book too, what more could you ask for :-) I absolutely loved this book and series and I would absolutely recommend this book to all book lovers out there
Another great read from Leslie this was a really good book I just loved Eric and Anna story it really was a wonderful romance, he is a playboy and she is a nerdy scientist as soon as he meets her and gets to know her he knows he wants to be a one-man woman which was really sweet while she originally did not want to mix business with pleasure it is not long before they are crossing that line. This two were just perfect together.
Prince Eric is wanting to be taken seriously and not looked at as the playboy he has been. Dr Anna Fernstone is working on a cure for cancer. He wants to work with her and finds they have a mutual attraction that could keep them from accomplishing what needs to be done for the poor of Danovar Can they have it all? A fast read.

Loved Royal Treament by Leslie North!!
Eric is the spare heir seen by the public as a playboy prince. He meets bookish-nerd Anna - seems like all bets are off & these 2 opposites definetly attract ....
Really engaging story with a HEA - just with all of this authors work I wish it was a longer read !!
I just love Eric!! This story was good. Dr. Anna was likable and Eric was adorable. I wish these books gave us a peak into the other characters. It’s like checking in on old friends and Ms North writes three book series that take place in the same world but aren’t connected like they should be.
A playboy prince and a scientist fall in love in this heartwarming Love Story with ups and downs but at the end a HEA. Great Read! Great Characters! Received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this quick read! It was fun, upbeat, and fast, as well as a little steamy...perfect quick read for the summer weekends. I love reading anything Royal, so this was a definite like!
**I received a free ARC of this ebook from the publisher with no obligations**
Sweetly thrilling, emotional, sexy and engaging romantic adventure with a royal twist. This story has it all, fun, romance, possibility of scandal, family obligations, tough choices and undeniable passion. Really enjoyed this highly entertaining read.
Not as good as the first book, in my opinion, but still a good quick read. It would have benefited from some fleshing out and maybe adding a little length so it didn't feel as rushed.
