It can’t get any more clear, from the very basics up to advanced techniques and strategies... highly recommended book for everyone interested in trading
This book provides a good how-to with regards to day trading (brokers, tools to use, risk mgmt), and I liked the exclusion of complicated indicators (MACD, MAs, oscillators) which could be easily found in other trading books.
My only gripe was the length of the book, which felt really short as most concepts seemed to be oversimplified.
One of Tim's better material in regards to format. College book formatting that lays out the expectation and goals before each chapter and a short Q&A after each chapter. Would recommend for beginner and novice traders. Will help set you on the right path.
This is an excellent overview of Tim Sykes' teaching of penny stock trading
Well organized. Many useful information. I believe it provides a good framwork for anyone who wishes to learn the basics of pennystock trading. Five stars.
The great and mighty Wall Street has laughed off penny stocks as has most of the financial world. These gentlemen (Alluch and Sykes) quietly ignored all of them and went on to be millionaires by trading penny stocks.
This book is extremely well written, and includes copious amounts of detail for those who wish to enter into this realm. It throws caution and lots of education in your face as key characteristics of a successful Penny Stock Trader (PST). If you wish to get rich quick (overnight) and have a high acceptance for high risk, then don't bother with this one - it's below you. On the other hand, if you want to get rich slowly (say in 5 years or so) and are very cautious at heart, then it may be a good place to start.
They do also market their stocks to trade tracking service heavily throughout the book, but that doesn't diminish in any way the quality of the instruction that is given here. Check it out.
If you really are a complete beginner in penny stocks then this book gives you everything you need to know to get started.
To be honest, I was expecting a little bit more in the way of strategies - and as someone who already has a fairly good understanding of this type of trading, there was a lot of stuff I’d already learnt. Having said that, there was a couple of set-ups in here that I knew completely nothing about before, and with a little more time, would love to try out.
So like Tim Bohen says, “even if a book gives you just one idea, it’s worth it”.
Very superficial book, very rudimentary information und different obsolete strategies like pump and dumps... Very disappointing experience. Nevertheless, this is not a bad start for a novice trader, who has just dived in the trading experience while knowing that some strategies discussed in the book shouldn’t not be considered, like pump and dumps und OTCs who are now almost dead because of those multiple halts. This book needs probably a new edition to tackle those deficiencies.
A helpful read for those interested in trading penny stocks. My only critique is that there was a little too much self promotion, especially for the software developed by the author. But, I get it. Regardless, there are good strategies, and a solid fundamental knowledge of penny stocks, presented in the book. Would recommend.
Some sound information throughout the book and solid advice on how and when to invest in penny stocks. I felt, at times, the entire book was a veiled advertisement for Sykes' programs and software. This would explain him giving it away. Still, the majority of the information is good information and the methods and strategies seem sound.
Lots of good info in one convenient place. Some of it is outdated. Some of it is poorly written. Lots of pumping the tires of his app, and the Tim Challenge. So many attempts at giving everything a martial arts analogy.
This books makes sense for people who want a generalized summary of the Tim Challenge in one location.
Worth reading, but definitely a beginner course. If you've been trading for a year or more (successfully or unsuccessfully) there's not much here you wouldn't already know. Still worth reading though, as you can take something away from just about any book.
If you're just getting into trading and you're looking for a good book, or two, or three, make this one of them!
the author keeps trying to sell you his crap talking and advertising it during the whole book. I don't think this book is worth the price. It's a waste of money. I've read way better books for half of the price they're selling their rubbish for.
