When I was a wee lassie, I was told by my preschool teachers that I was a natural at storytelling. When I was just a little older than that, an old friend's mother said to me, "Kelsey, one day your books are going to be on the shelves at the library."

Well, Diane, I don't know if my books are ever going to be on the shelves of libraries, but I'm sure as hell going to try.

When I'm not writing stories destined to be bestsellers, I enjoy devouring TV shows, listening to every type of music there is and going to concerts, reading pretty much anything (with a soft spot for romance and certain books located in 18th century Scotland), obsessing over makeup, and pretending to workout.

I also have a fondness for cats, my family, tattoos, and a really good French fry.

I had to wonder if the world looked as wet and bleary to him as it did to me. Full of possibilities, and none of them for me.

Sean is the last Kinney brother to find his happily ever after.

And it might just be Lindsey. The girl who shows up at the store he works at to buy a mattress, because she set her old one on fire - after she found her now ex on it with his secretary!!

Both Sean and Lindsey are mega-careful people. They never take any chances. Always do the right thing. The safe thing. What their parents would want them to do. Sean is the total opposite of his wild twin Ryan.

But now's the time for Seanie and Lindsey to take some risks. Do things they were always too afraid to do. For Sean that includes eating ice cream without being scared to get a belly ache from his lactose intolerance! ☺

And while spending a crazy week together, they fall for each other. But can two people who are so similar, so equally afraid of things, end up happily ever after???

Awwwww, finally Seanie!!!! Mega adorable!

A real Casanova, that's what I was, with a serious crush on a girl I just met. A girl who, I thought, could one day be my home.

His brothers' stories were already super cute and moving and now it's his turn - and I adored him.

He's so not the alpha romance novel hero at first sight. He's afraid of ice cream and the town-square statue. But he's so adorable. He always had to be safe and careful because his brothers weren't. And he didn't want to be the 3rd kid to disappoint his parents. So he became Safe Seanie.

And Lindsey is the same - she had a little cancer scare when she was 16 and ever since then she did everything in her power to be good and make safe choices for her parents. She didn't want them to be disappointed in her and her choices in case she died from cancer or something else and left them all alone.

And now those two safe people meet and fall for each other and it's mega adorable. Lindsey fits right in with all the Kinneys. But of course it's not all insta happy endish. Lindsey is supposed to go back home to her parents and Sean is probably happier all alone and safe behind the counter in the mattress store? NO he isn't - he wants Lindsey. And he's fighting for her and his happily ever after.

I really enjoyed reading this story. It was sweet and funny and sexy and moving and daring and full of hope and love. Amazing family those Kinneys.

I didn't love the overuse of Ehm's - just like in all three books that 'word' is in here way too much. I prefer UHM, if you have to use something like that at all. Ehm sounds sooo weird. So German somehow - we say ÄHM and it's sound horrible! Maybe it's supposed to be Irish, but non-Irish people say it too. ☺ BUT I really loved the story and the people in it! Great Romance!!!

Upon discovering the writing of Ms. Kingsley with One Night to Fall followed by To Fall for Winter and now in Last Chance to Fall, I have fallen in love with all her characters. The way that she forms their connections, their lives, she has the ability to draw the reader in and makes you feel as if you are in the same room as everyone of her characters.

Sean Kinney......I have been waiting for his book and Ms. Kingsley did not disappoint. A chance meeting brings Sean and Lindsey together. How can you feel an instant connection with another person upon meeting them for the first time? How can you suppress your fears to actually take a chance on something you know will be life changing? Those are the questions that both Sean and Lindsey need to answer.

Last Chance to Fall was such an inspirational, thought provoking, romantic story that when I flipped the last page, I just sat to process what I had read. This is a must read! (Along with Patrick and Ryan's books)

And yes, he is the newest addition to my BBF harem.

“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”

This was a breath of fresh air. Last Chance to Fall was full of romance, fears, and finding real happiness. Sean Kinney and Lindsey were two people that took a leap for once in their life which led them on a journey filled with ice cream, pancakes and lots of syrup.
I really enjoy the Kinney Brothers series by Kingsley and Sean Kinney was everything I hoped for.

The Kinney brothers tend to fall fast when they meet their girl and they have that super power of knowing right from the start that she's the one. Sean Kinney was no different. And boy did I enjoy reading all about it.

Sean has always played the perfect son, trying to make his parent's life easier because his twin made it hard enough on them. In order to do that Sean gave up on doing all of things and especially on trying new and out-of-the-box things for him. He gave up on living and he settled on a boring life instead of finding out what he was really meant to do for the rest of his life.
Lindsey comes into his life one day and changes his whole life around. She didn't have an easy past, she was sick when she was younger and seeing her parents so messed up over it made her want to do everything to make them happy. This of course means that she isn't happy. Just like Sean, she hasn't been living. So when they meet they make a pact, that for the week Lindsey stays in town they will do things they haven't done in forever and want to, and also try new things.

Sean sees a change in his life right away and it's all thanks to her. Safe to say they start falling right away, they fit together like puzzle pieces and there was nothing that would have stopped them from falling for each other. And that's the beauty of it they had to find each other to be happy, to start living the life they wanted, living for themselves and no one else. And after they meet there's nothing stopping them from living, there's no fear and there's no holding back, and that's how Sean Kinney gets his girl.

Last Chance To Fall is a bit of an insta-love but it's a beautiful one at that. This story is much more than a tale of love, it's a tale of finding yourself, not being afraid to be who you want to be and doing what's right for you; it's a story about living your life, learning to live and not merely exist. Sean and Lindsey's story is a very sweet one, it's an adventure you'll want to go. Sean is impossible not to fall for once you get to really know him and Lindsey just couldn't say no to such a sweet, sexy and thoughtful man, and I don't think she minded one bit. I wouldn't have either.

And to think all she had wanted that day was a matress...

Oh how I love the Kinney brothers! I have been waiting patiently for Seanie's book and it finally arrived on my Kindle. Kelsey Kingsley can not only write like she's one of the Irish lads herself - but her writing will make you laugh, cry and swoon at the same time. This book is about the 3rd Kinney brother, Sean; and if you haven't read the other two - that's ok (but you will WANT to read Patrick and Ryan's stories too).

Seanie boy...this guy is everything dreamy...he's handsome, humble, a book nerd, has an accent, has muscles, and is as sensitive as a big teddy bear. Sean is Mr. Good Guy. He has never broken the rules or law, he eats the same things every day, has the same routine, doesn't like trouble or putting anyone out. He has a heart of gold and just wants to keep everyone happy. Sean never expected Lindsey to walk into his storeroom, steal his heart and throw him off his axis. It was absolutely adorable how smitten he was for her, and I fell more and more in love with him as he revealed more of himself while spending time with her.

"Because as she talked and the flickering flame inside the iron lantern above the table danced poetically across her face, I felt myself shift and change. And suddenly I couldn't remember who I was before I met her." SWOOOOOOON!

I absolutely love how the Kinney brothers and their women interact with each other. They are playful, charming, thoughtful and their bond is so real that you'll want to be adopted into their family. This book is so fun in the sense that one moment the brothers are ribbing each other and acting like they are 12 years old, and then the next they are sweeping their ladies off of their feet. Sean & Lindsey's story is fun, flirty, sexy, hilarious, and will have you wanting your own Irish boy when you're done. I know I feckin' do! Well done once again Kelsey Kingsley. I am not ready for this to be the last of the Kinney brothers!

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

"What would you do if you weren't afraid?"

Seems like an easy question to answer, right? But when Sean Kinney is asked that question, he's not sure what to say. The circumstances of Lindsey coming into his life are a bit strange, but that doesn't matter. From the moment she appears, Sean's life is turned on it's head and he can't seem to find a reason to be mad about it. And I can't blame him. Sean and Lindsey make a pact to spend the week together and do all the things that scare them. They both need to live a little, even if it something as little as not eating the same thing for breakfast every day.

Lindsey, just having broke up with her longtime boyfriend, is ready to return home and live the life she has decided she needs to live. Falling for a guy who plays it as safe as she does is not on the list of things she wanted to do before leaving, but that is exactly what happens. These two were just the cutest and OMG I LOVE SEAN SO MUCH. He is definitely my favorite Kinney brother! He was so damn adorable and just the sweetest guy. Plus for me, he is the most relatable Kinney brother. I wouldn't say that I play the straight man as much as Sean, but maybe I need to start asking myself the question that started it all.

A quick note about one of the secondary characters in this book that I loved. Sean's best friend Jules was HILARIOUS and he made me laugh out loud more than once. The two of them had quite the bromance going on and it was very entertaining.

If you've met the other two Kinney brothers, then you definitely have to meet Sean. You get lots of brother interaction in this book and it's absolutely hilarious. It's possible to read this one without having read the other two, but do yourself a favor and read them.

What can I say about the Kinney Brother’s, when they fall in love they fall hard quick and dirty even when it’s The Last Chance to Fall. I thought Patrick was the romantic brother but Sean might have picked up some of his swoon-worthiness.

Sean Kinney is Mr. Reliable, the perfect son, the total opposite of his twin brother Ryan well that is till he meets Lindsey Molloy and she has him thinking “What if this was my last chance…” The way Sean and Lindsey met was perfection, who hasn’t thought of doing something that drastic to ex-boyfriend things? Lindsey and Sean both do everything to please their parents but together they take a week to play “what if” without any regrets.

Kelsey, your writing is funny sexy and addicting; I’m glad to have found your books and to call myself of a fan. Please don’t let this be “The Last Chance” with the Kinney Brothers.

Kelsey Kingsley is an artist and a poet whose writing is like a siren song to readers out there desperate for beautifully written, soulful stories. Her characters are unique, her author's voice rings true, and the plot threads she weaves so masterfully create fictional worlds you wish you could visit. "Last Chance To Fall" is the best Kinney Brothers book yet, and Kingsley's best work too. There is humour, passion, misery, heartache, and utterly ridiculous hotness. A must-read. Quite literally couldn't put it down til I finished.

“It would be different from any other night. If you weren’t here, I would be sitting by myself, while looking at all the happiness around me, and wondering what the feck I ever did so wrong to not deserve some of my own. I would’ve been bitter, I would’ve been jealous, but , having you here, I have nothing to be jealous of. Because, for once in my life, I’m the one to be envied.”

To be quite honest, I was going to give 4 stars to this book, but after seeing these amazing quotes that I gathered to put this review together, my heart melted all over again and made me realise just how much I love Sean.
So be prepared to a whole lot of quotes...

“I didn’t want to be something she’d regret. I didn’t want to be the rebound, or the one-night stand. I didn’t want to be the one she snuck out on the next morning. I didn’t want to be that guy she could never look at again, because I wanted breakfast. I wanted maple syrup every day for the next five days, and goddammit, I didn’t want her to think of me as a feckin’ mistake.”

But you know those books that are good but not magnificent?
But at the same time they warm your heart like no other?
That´s exactly what this book is about.
There´s not that much originality, plot twists that makes your eyes jump or huge love demonstrations, however there´s that sweetness and good dialog that makes all of these things just details that don´t make that much of a difference if they exist or not.

“(...) so I think home is a place until you meet the person you find it in, and then, no matter where they are, if you’re with them, you’re there— home.”

And Sean.... Oh God.
What a sweet and adoring man.
He´s the kind of man that I sweat to God that my mom would addopt him and put me on the street in no time.
To be quite honest, I would addopt him and throw me on the street. That´s just how adorable he is.
He could be an annoying guy, a coward, the kind of man that makes you roll your eyes from how much annoying and affraid he is. But maybe because of all this arrangement that he did with Lindsey about putting your fears aside that made him one of the most romantic and real man (at least I hope he could be real) that an romantic author ever created.

“ Why do you talk to me like that?”
“Like what?”
“Like you love me.”
“Because I do.”

I have to say though that Lindsey did not impress me that much.
Actually, I didn´t even remember her name to put in this review.
I had to search for it for a minute or so to finally figure it out her name.
She was just bleh you know?
It was just like: You can´t have a love story that Sean loves Sean, so let´s just put a girl right there to take that part.

“Because if this is my last chance to say that I had you— really had you— I want to take it. Even if that means spendin’ all of forever, dyin’ of the worst broken heart I’ll ever know in my life.”

And now it´s the time that I tell you that I truly don´t have anything that I want to say anymore about Last Chance to Fall.
But my quotes are not done and I don´t have the strengh or the courage to just erase them all.
So, if my words (that were not the best ones, let´s be honest) did not convince you to read this book, let´s Seanie (my baby) sell this book out for me.

“ Your eyes are endless, and when I look into them, I don’t see you absorbing light, but in actuality, my soul. Like you see things that I’ve tried to deny myself, like you alone are able to awaken these things I’ve tried to suppress, and I’m just afraid of who I’ll go back to bein’ once you’re not here to reach into my soul and pull me out.”

Seriously, who wouldn´t want a man to say this to you?

“ You’re wrong. You talk about love like it’s the beginning of an end, because I think that makes it easier for you to walk away. But you’re wrong, Lindsey. You’re so feckin’ wrong, because this? This is only a beginning. This is forever.”

Oh God, I can´t take it anymore. Go do a favor to yourself and read this book.

“And I smiled, stroking the rocky hills of her knuckles with my thumb, and I felt warm. Because that’s what true love is. Warmth. Familiarity. Home.”

This was my first book of Kingsley's and what a book to start with! Even though it is third in the series, it can be read as a standalone, which for those of you who follow me, know that I love that! Last Chance to Fall follows Sean Kinney, aka Seanie to his friends and family. He's the quiet and sweet one, the meticulous and detailed one, vastly different than his twin and older brother.

While working one evening, he meets Lindsey, who is like him in so many ways. Together they embark on a week-long journey to break out of their shells and do things they normally wouldn't do. Lindsey is fun, she compliments Sean perfectly, and he sees the real her. The one that she has kept hidden her entire life. For at the heart of it, she's scared. I completely relate to her fear of death and as Sean puts it "That scared little girl. Scared of life, scared of her own mortality." Then he goes on to say "Being alive is supposed to be scary. It means you have something to lose." How insanely true! I think anyone can relate to that, or at least I hope they would.

Throughout their adventures, Sean starts to develop feelings. Feelings he's not supposed to have because at the end of the week, Lindsey is leaving. He's scared too, but he's scared of telling her how he feels and having her leave anyways.

As far as book boyfriends go, Sean is pretty perfect, because even with his fears, the words he speaks reach your heart. I think my favorite quote from the book was actually not said allowed, but thought, and it was "Because the future was open, with possibilities strewn about like scattered pages in the wind." Those are beautiful words to live by.

Kingsley has written Last Chance to Fall well, with characters that are impossible not to love. We meet Sean's brothers and their wives, and that has me excited to go back to the beginning and watch their relationships form and blossom. I'm so glad I found this series.

I adore the Kinney Brothers. I want them to be a TV Show. I want to see the Irish brogues with the Irish Brothers every week. Kelsey Kingsley has done another amazing job with this series. You love Sean instantly. You feel for Lindsey and her predicament. You understand how love can be both a difficult risk and a strong desire for both these conflicted people.

As always there are lines in Ms. Kingsley's words that I just adore. If these seem out of context, it's because you HAVE TO READ IT! Please do!

"I found the fire extinguisher, just where I had made sure it always was - just in case. Just in case of a dinner accident. Just in case I set a mattress on fire." I LAUGHED so hard when I read this.

"What if this your last chance?" God help me, I didn't want to ask. God help me, I had to. "Last chance for what?" "To feel something real."

"I think home is a place until you meet the person you find it in, and then, no matter where they are, you're always home."

"As crazy as it is, I love you, and you'd have to do a lot more than say some shite for me to not open the door when ya knock." This LINE killed me... because who doesn't want someone who will always forgive you your stupid words, and open the door when you knock!

Please read all the Kinney Brothers. Don't let this one be your first, read them all. You won't be disappointed.

“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” - Last Chance to Fall, Kelsey Kingsley

I don’t know if a wiser question could be asked, especially in the context of this book! Last Chance to Fall had me thinking the same thing. Reading a book by Kelsey Kingsley is so much more than just a romance. She writes in a way that makes you feel what her characters feel that connects you to her characters in a deep and meaningful way.

I love everything about Sean and Lindsey! They are so much alike but instead of enabling each other’s anxious behavior they challenge each other to brave. Their love story is sweet, funny, unexpected, and exciting! This was another amazingly insightful, romantic, and steamy love story by Kelsey Kingsley!

You will not regret reading this book number 3 in this amazing series!

This story does a fantastic job of reminding you to LIVE, that THIS may be your last chance. Kelsey has written something new and different from all other stories I've read. The conversations are intriguing and pull at your heartstrings. The characters experience personal growth while together and fall in love along the way. Sean's story is something special.
"As long as you're alive, you can be whatever the hell you want to be, Sean Kinney. Nobody is stopping you, except you."

Sean and Lindsey are people-pleasers. They don't cause a fuss. They settle, and it really is sad. However, once they meet, in the most unlikely way, things start to change for both of them.
The entire Kinney crew are around and just as quirky as ever. With each new release, I fall for a new Kinney brother.

She is the kind of author I turn to for that perfect happily ever after that I crave. Her words are like flowing honey.

Last Chance to Fall may be my favorite one yet!! I absolutely am smittin with Sean. I am trying to put him in words but fear I will do it wrong. He is... He is just so perfect. Sensitive, loyal, caring and he wears glasses AND has an accent. I'm just saying 😉

Honestly Lindsey and Sean are adorable! And if you want to read something light and yet makes you swoon all over then this is a perfect read.

"What would you do if you weren't afraid?" Isn't that the same question most of us ask ourselves everyday? For Sean Kinney that thought does not cross his mind until he meets Lindsay Mollory after she set fire to her mattress. This is a beautiful story about not being afraid to live, to put yourself out there, and yes, to maybe get hurt. These two people have spent their lives playing it safe never once stepping outside their comfort zone and a chance meeting causes them to re-evaluate their outlook on life. Please take a chance on this book, you won't regret it.

I love how how shy he is, but he also has smarts too. He's not just another pretty face. No Sean is special he's got spark about him that you can't help but want to know him. Fear, Life, and Love!

The Last chance to Fall is a beautifully crafted love story. It is about two people whose lives are driven by fear. So much so, that they aren't really living but simply existing.

Sean is the "consistent, reliable sibling" and he feeds into that description in order not to disappoint his family. He doesn't take risks or make rash decisions. Until one fateful day when Lindsey strolls in to buy a mattress.

Lindsey is reeling from an unforeseen break up. She was content in her status quo relationship because it made her parents happy. In a freak turn of events she let's her emotions guide her and they lead her to Sean.

These two characters have very different reasons for living the way that they do. Engulfed in fear, in the shadows, and never making waves. Their connection is based on chemistry and commonality. They make a pact to be brave. They ask each other "What would you do if you weren't afraid?" This is the catalyst they need to walk boldly into their lives. They try new things and explore the world around them without judgement. It is freeing and ultimately transformative.

The Last Chance to Fall is a funny, romantic, emotional read. Kelsey Kingsley builds a great world for these characters and they bloom. This book took me on a journey of hope, purpose, peace and love. There is no place quite like "home."

Poetic

This book lives up to everything the previous two in the series have delivered, and then some. The story of Sean and Lindsey is wonderful, whimsical and impulsive.

‘What would you do if you weren’t afraid?’ is the question posed repeatedly throughout the book. Sean and Lindsey have, through very different reasons, become scared of living the lives they want because they are afraid of letting others down. By making others happy, they push away their own possibilities for happiness.

After a wake up call, and a burnt mattress, Lindsey tentatively takes life by the throat and in doing so, meets Sean. There follows a week of just pleasing themselves; of putting themselves first and feeling all that life has to offer.

Sean is just the most adorable, geeky Romeo I think I’ve ever read. He thinks and feels so deeply. His transformation from scaredy-cat to confident poet is a joy to read. Lindsey, in all her new-found boldness, enables that in him; and when her bravery falters, he’s there to rescue her right back.

With each passing book, I’ve found a new favourite Kinney brother. I think Sean might be my favourite of all. Just a perfect series about a gloriously imperfect, loveable Irish family.

Kelsey has amazed me again. I tore through this book in less than 24 hours. Before I get to Sean and this book, I need to swoon over Kelsey a bit. You see, just like the Kinney boys, she's eclectic and not afraid of doing what she wants, rules be darned. She writes from her soul and as each book is different, they are uniquely linked by her courageous writing style. Also, this book got for very personal for me. So....
So, Sean...buddy...I love him. How could the mundane brother come to life? How could we see him embrace the part of himself he keeps quiet? He found his home, that's how. I've always thought of the love of my life as home. I may have been a bit biased as a Kelsey fan before this, and it was quite serendipitous that the timing of this book coincidences with something I'm dealing with myself, but this is what I needed. This is what we all need. Home....love is home. Sean speaks to me, this books represents what my heart has always told me about love. Thank you Kelsey for writing this....my own perception of love.

I just finished Last Chance to Fall, Kelsey Kingsley’s third book in the Kinney Brothers series. This is my first review even though I’m on the third book. I’ve found all of her characters very thought provoking. In this book Sean and Lindsey are two people who are cautious in every aspect of their lives, but for very different reasons. We go with them on their journey to find ways for each of them to put aside their daily fears and to truly embrace life and its offerings. These characters are written in such a way that it’s easy to see our own fears, challenges in our lives which are holding each of us back. I’ve found myself inspired to identity and shed fears which are holding me back as we embark on a new year. Loved this inspired read!

This is the first Kelsey Kingsley book I have read. I was first introduced to her through bedtime stories in the KU Korner on Facebook and I loved her writing style.

Sean and Lindsey's story was a real thinker for me. If you met someone and decided for a week, you weren't going to worry about anything and just live....how would your life be different? By letting go of their fears, Lindsey and Sean really allowed themselves to live and fall in love.

I was taken with this loud Irish family and I can't wait to go back and read the other brothers' stories. I love close knit clans like this and the women how have married into them. It was a really good read!

What would you do if you weren't afraid? That's what this story is all about. From Kelsey's intro to her note at the end, this story resonated with me. If you live your life based on what other people think or if you play it safe, you need to read this. Kelsey takes imperfect characters and makes them imperfectly perfect!
