Cute book about which stuffed animal might be best to cuddle for bedtime. Teddy Bear is best, of course, because he's the least one to do any real life damage.

This story follows a boy who is looking for a cuddle. However, the little boy contemplates on the difficulties in cuddling different animals but in the end settles for cuddling a teddy instead.
This book is enjoyable as readers can encounter different animals in this colourful book.
This book is suitable for early years, nursery and even enjoyable in year one as there are good illustrations and new vocabulary.
Teachers can use this book to read aloud to students and because there is an ‘AABB’ rhyme scheme that runs through this book, students can join in the reading by predicting the end of the rhyme.
Also, teachers can use this book to teach adjectives as there are simple descriptive words. This can also be followed with a task that lets students come up with own adjectives and use them properly which will help to extent their vocabulary.
Finally, teachers can look at the contractions that are used in this book to show students which two words are being joined together.

I love reading this book to my neice and nephews. The story follows an young boy looking for someone to cuddle with. The boy tries to think of who to cuddle and goes through a bunch of intimidating animals until finally he realizes it is best if he cuddles his teddy bear instead. I rated this book a 4/5 stars because after reading it to little ones, they start to catch on to the actions i make each time a new animal comes to play. It is especially fun when the kids are sitting in my lap as we read, so each time the little boy trys to cuddle a new animal I cuddle the kids the same way the animal cuddles the boy. I did leave one star off because I felt like for a childrens book with so many animals there could have been a few more animal sounds to be read included in the book.

The story revolves around a small boy who is yearning for someone to cuddle with. The child tries to think of who he should cuddle and goes through a list of frightening creatures before deciding to cuddle his teddy bear instead. I love reading this to kids because their reactions when a new animal shows up, their reactions are priceless. This book is so fun and unpredictable. I love how simple and sweet the illustrations are. The book contains so many adjectives so it would be beneficial to read to students when they are learning adjectives.

Our book cover had gorilla cuddling the boy which is a much cuter image. This book made me explain how animals can eat or hurt humans, which wasn't something I wanted to discuss with my 3-year-old son at bedtime. 😔

This is a simple, sweet book. I found it at Walgreens of all places and gave it to my daughter for her 2nd birthday. I bet we read it before bed every night for almost a year. I love the illustrations.
