The time has come for Tanis to take the fight to the Trisilieds and to free the Pleiades. Meanwhile, Sera must go to Airtha and stop her mother once and for all.
Malorie Cooper likes to think of herself as a dreamer and a wanderer, yet her feet are firmly grounded in reality.
A ‘maker’ from an early age, Malorie loves to craft things, from furniture, to cosplay costumes, to a well-spun tale, she can’t help but to create new things every day.
A rare extrovert writer, she loves to hang out with readers and people in general. If you meet her at a convention, she just might be rocking a catsuit, cosplaying one of her own characters, or maybe her latest favorite from Overwatch!
She shares her home with a brilliant young girl, her wonderful wife (who also writes), a cat that chirps at birds, a never-ending list of things she would like to build, and ideas…
This is an excellent book that brings together many of our favorite characters and really deepens our understanding of them. The universe becomes even more astoundingly complicated (if you can imagine that!) and Tangel’s forces finally go on the offensive as the major war battles begin. Not a stand-alone book but it is a MUST for Aeon 14 fans!
Great book which touches upon several different story lines while advancing the main Tangel timeline. To say I loved this book would be an understatement. It did take me 3 weeks to read, but only due to needing to read a different book shortly after starting Precipice. Once back, I finished Precipice within a week. While War on a Thousand Fronts (Orion War #6) felt a bit like building for things to come, Precipice of Darkness feels like someone popped a bubble and every story line is battling to get out first. It almost pains me to not pick up Airthan Ascendancy (Orion War #8) and continue. HUGE plotline reveals, humor, some sadness, but a great book!
Mrs Cooper, the biggest issue I have with your books is the rate I devour them. For me, they are difficult to put down, which makes it difficult for me to write reviews (don’t change!). Example, I recently went on vacation where I had to fly across country. I read one book on the day of travel out, one book the week I was on vacation, another on the day of travel back and then started another (Rika 5-7, Orion War #6). Once back, I have a difficult time trying to distinguish what the differences were in the 3 book I just read. Yes, this is my problem…I really enjoy your books!
An Integral part of the Aeon 14 universe and a must read
Like it's predecessor a war on a thousand fronts this is a must read as events from various Aeon 14 series tie into this is an immersive experience with spoderqeb precision that Cooper is so famous for. Those questions you want answered well here they are, those questions you didn't think of well there here as well. The ones you will ask in the future well there in other books lol. This book will give you that thrill that only comes from a good book being finished and an eager anticipation for the next in the series as everything is turned on its head. The characters and sub plots merge into a real page turner as we are drawn into an all out battle with ......, and we finally see just how much power..... has and what lengths that .... has to go to. I don't too spoilers but i do do a lot of smiles as i write this review after finishing such a great book. My only problem is awaiting the next book to find out more.
Author M.D, Cooper brings us the next adventure for Tangel, Sara, and Bob on the I2. Major events take place from the death of one of the Tangel's enemies by her daughter Clary in the LMC. As well as Tangel being asked to help Iris and Avanta with the LOS. There they fight Xavra an ascended AI and it's up to Bob to come in on the I2 and destroy it. But Tangel is hurt to the point where her extra dimensional body had been bleeding out to the point were Bob had to help her learn how to heal herself. But it's the core AI's that are pulling everyone's stings and they've had the caretakers out in the Milky Way making sure that Humanity and the lesser AI's don't come to the system that they've been hiding in for a while. As the last page says the stage is set and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the Orion War series. I highly recommend this series to all science fiction fans.
Once again we have a great book that continues to move on the story of Tanis/Tangel on. We have some treads cone to a end and others appears. The ships and crews of the alliance is spread over more areas and that is not going to end anytime soon. But we can plan on Tanis/Tangel has a plan.
Tangel continues to learn about her ascension, and our heroes finally start to figure out the plans of the Core AIs. The Orion War is mutating from a war of humans into a war of gods.
That plus, all the humor and wacky space action we've come to expect from Mal Cooper.
These books just keep piling on the action and the higher dimensional fun is getting interesting. I really have enjoyed watching these characters progress over the series and can’t wait to see what they will get into next. I recommend this book and the series set in this universe.
This continuing adventure is a fascinating fantasy, yet seemingly possible reality. Parts of me want to set it all aside, but that is impossible once you’re on the trail of a quality story. Copper knows how to capture intriguing possibilities and dishing up a reality into a fictional masterpiece.
The story just keeps getting better and better. Lots of character development and bit if fun with just the right amount of action to keep the reader hooked. M. D. Cooper does it again!
This story is woven from multiple threads of sci-fi mastery. The scenes transcend our third dimensional reality, and spread beyond our own Galaxy. There are only three things that I enjoy enough to lose sleep over... This has been one of them. Namaste.
Leaves you with more questions but in a good way. The demise of a character that everyone hates which we have quite a few. Twists and turns that leave you wanting more
This is one of those series that is beautifully long. There are so many books in this rich universe already written, I can keep going and have so much to read. Totally recommend!
After finishing up Perseus Gate series, had to journey back abit and re-read Bk5&6 of Orion War. My memory is not well, and I imagine will be back tracking and re-reading often, but know I will enjoy every re-visit none the less!
This one is full of action. You have no idea what will happen next! Tangel and Family and friends are putting out fires left and right. Read to see what is happening!!
Another great book as M D Cooper continues his strong run of form. Good mixture of moments of introspection for characters and action. We get to see more of some of the main antagonists in the story, which helps flesh out the overall story, and answers some mysteries that have been hanging around for a bit. Some good moments of tension in the story as well, with a fair amount of unpredictability which is good :) As book 7, certainly not something you can read without reading books 1-6 in the series, if you have read those, you won't be disappointed with this one.
